It's actually a really nice sweater. So I'm excited about it. Yeah, no, so tonight we're going to have some fun. Matt, I totally understand the predicament you're in. I've been there. You know what's funny is I kind of switched to ciders lately. I feel like less of a man, but at the same time, I always feel so much better at the end of the night. So I don't know what to tell you there, man. I think it's just a matter of personal preference. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. I still love me a dark stout or, you know, anything dark, pretty much. Anyway, dark humor too. So Clutch Rockwell from ECWA is going to be joining us tonight. Congratulations to the super eight winner. Ichiban number one.

3:11My personal in my favorite of the eight interviews that we did. You know what? Quakers. Quakers. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. In and out. Baby. And. That was great. You know, he's actually a tremendous wrestler. Which is good because he's probably going to work on his promo skills. But, uh, yeah, 90 days. You tremendous. So Clutch Rockwell, he was part of the ECWA show this past Saturday. The American missile going to be joining us in about about 20 minutes or so. So, in the meantime, Matt, I wanted to bring up, I mean, so the news around the world, good bit or otherwise, I think it's a huge jump for AEW. Ronda Rousey is now part of AEW. Or at least for an appearance, you know. Yeah, it's interesting times we're living in. She did not get the Ronda Rousey as all elite graphic that Mystico got.

4:12I don't know how long this is for, but Tony Khan's role in the dice on this one. Yeah, well, you know, it really is a low risk thing, I think, right? Because I mean, at worst, she just decimates a bunch of women on the roster. But at the same time, I mean, hopefully it would get more eyeballs on the product. Of course, it didn't really help, but WWE, I guess, having more eyes on the product, but I don't know. I mean, you know, she's legit and she's got this big fight coming up. So, you know, maybe more people will be interested in seeing what she's got going on. Plus, they never really resolved that Starship, Ronda Rousey stuff. So I think that's a match everybody would be excited about. Yeah, but I don't know, I'm at a point now where I don't think Sasha needs to wrestle Ronda. I think Ronda might need to wrestle, need to wrestle Mercedes, but. Yeah, yeah, I think Mercedes is beyond that at this point.

5:15So do you think AEW has outgrown the need for Ronda Rousey at this point? Ronda Rousey at this point is not what Ronda Rousey was in 2019. No, and I mean, by the way, it wasn't what she was in 2015 either. So, right, and you know, that's kind of the other thing I wanted to touch on a little bit. It was like, you know, maybe they're trying to just maybe this is just like one or two appearances. She doesn't fight anybody really. And it's just kind of to, you know, they're mutually hyping each other. Like she helps hype them and they help hype this, this match she has coming up with Gina Carano. And yeah, I don't, I don't know the whole concept of Gina Carano fighting Ronda Rousey in 2026. It's just, and it's exactly what it is. It just reeks of like this cheap like Paul Brothers special. Yeah, Mike, kind of, yeah, of just trying to coast on people who are late, who are way past their prime.

6:20And in Gina Carano's case is way past her prime for, to be doing anything like this. Yeah, I was going to read free that when the Mandalorian maybe you know, I don't think Disney will let any of that anybody near that. Yeah, yeah, and I'm doing my best king hippo by the way, my own, my own. Yeah, so my gut reaction, and I know this wasn't how they originally intended it. But Ronda Rousey basically benefited WWE in two ways, one of which they fumbled on. But they used her to get over Becky Lynch. And they used her to finally lose like cleanly to her friend Shayna Baszler, who basically retired right after that match. It was kind of pointless at that point. I like to think that Ronda is in there maybe to give her friend the rub. Marina Shafir, Shafir, right? Yeah, don't lose this group.

7:20Yeah, yeah. Now, she did lose. If she just lost the Tony Storm, I don't know what the point in giving Marina Shafir the rub is. But, you know, I mean, maybe, maybe, I don't know, I can't see them having Ronda, if Ronda went in and targeted Tony Storm right away, that probably would be the initial feud. And I don't know that it would benefit Tony Storm because she's kind of up here at this point. So you can do is kind of drag her down a little bit, especially since Ronda is probably not going to lose her first feud. If there is to be a few. So it's interesting, you know, I feel like if they do it right, Ronda Rousey could help them. Probably open new eyes to the product. But at the same time, you know, I think she is kind of limited in where they can place her and what they can do with her. So.

8:20And it's clear WWE doesn't care. No, no, I'm sure there are people in WWE who are happy that she's gone. And I don't see any of the wrestlers. I mean, people, you know, people in the back or there's probably a number of them who are probably glad that she's gone. Yeah, and on top of that. You know, she's been trash in WWE for so long now. She was technically part of her gimmick as she was trash in WWE when she was there. But now we've had the book and all the interviews and stuff like that. And she just never has anything nice to say about them. I almost wonder if they couldn't use her like. Do you remember back in the day when like they used Jim Cornett on WWE to like make fun of WCW. They'd be like, oh, I'm Jim Cornett and this is my opinion. And then it'd be like, you know, talk about something lousy that WCW is doing. And probably trash on Michaels too in favor of Bret Hart. But maybe they could use Rhonda to kind of take shots at WWE if you want to do that.

9:23I hope that's not what they want to do because they haven't they haven't done stuff like that in a while. And they don't need to do anything like that at this point. Usually the team that's trailing is the one that does it, you know. She could be bad news Rhonda. I'm Jim Cornett and that's my opinion. I'm a Wagner. Hey there guys, happy to have you see Pat state of you, my friend. Little Kyle Wagner or Wagner. Wagner. Sorry, man. Sorry. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know that Rhonda ever always displayed the best. I don't know what the right term is. Like wrestling IQ maybe. You know, when she would like go on Twitter and like when she was actively involved in feuds of people and saying stuff like. Absolutely. None of these girls could beat me in a real fight or, you know, or whatever version that she was saying.

10:24Right. I'm just like, well, what does that have to do with anything? Like that's not that's not like you might as well like quit MMA and become a teacher and like get mad at your co-workers and be like. None of these other teachers could take me in a real fight. It's well, why would they that's not right like you you're not in that world anymore and. Yeah, I don't know it's it's she just there were times where I questioned whether she really understood, you know. That wrestling is, you know, it's an athletic event, but it's, you know, it's it's theater at the same time too. And you're putting on a show. And as she I don't know, I mean, it's it's always seemed to me like she couldn't get her head out of MMA and adapt. You know what she reminds me of she reminds me Bradley coupe reminds me of Bradley Cooper and wedding crashers. Where he's always is aggressive bully and in the guy goes crab cakes and football.

11:27That's what Maryland does. Right. Yeah, that's like ball and yeah, yeah. And then he like shoulder tackles Vince one. Yeah, well, there were a lot of like women and WWE that I think at that point were kind of afraid to get in the ring with her because like she was legitimately causing like concussions and other injuries, you know. So do you think there's a scenario where a W could benefit from Ronda? Like I'm thinking if she's willing to be a team player here and actually like compete in some matches, I feel like. You know when loser draw they could she could elevate other people. My concern with her now was the same as it was through most of her time in WWE that she's just too much of a loose cannon and takes things way too personally in real life.

12:33And like she will say or do something that's going to break the fourth wall and then like you've got. She's got a situation similar to what they had with CM punk years ago and yeah, you know like they have re it took them a while, but they have recovered nicely from that they they don't need to go back into this space where. People who cannot draw the line for themselves between real life and what their job is. And you know find themselves in that place again with somebody who is apt to go on Twitter and say something stupid. Yeah, okay, okay, I think more receptive to what I really did, but I understand where you're coming from. Yeah, certainly huge risk. I think she was a bust in WWE overall. I think her first one went generally pretty well minus the stuff that we I just talked about. But her second run was kind of a disaster.

13:34And yeah, no, I just I don't think. God, this is going to sound so mean TNA would probably have a lot more to gain from bringing her in and then. Oh, he does. For sure, but you would. Thank you. I was thinking that same thing. Thank you. Yeah, I think you as has has grown beyond the need for somebody like her. Yes, what I found interesting is like when she came into WWE the first time she was all smiles and wave and I'm thinking like this is the dress like Rady Piper. It's like this is this is the silliest thing. First of all, she teased somebody else's gimmick just because she was apparently a fan of this wrestler. She had enough. But you had a reputation as one of the meanest fighters in the world and you came in all happy smiley wanting to like be everybody's best friend. By the time they figured out how to change that and out of make her aggressive the maker see me and all that. I think she bought her own hype.

14:34I do. And I think that that made them want to kind of handle her differently. So yeah, I mean, I don't know. I don't know a W T and a whatever. I feel like there are things that these companies could benefit by having her. But I also didn't like how she turned WWE's women's division on its head. And it basically made it were like none of what these women achieve means anything because they're not legitimate like she is. Even like Becky Lynch, it kind of felt like Rhonda like. Basically handed her a main event spot went out there and went out of her way to make like Becky Lynch look amazing. And it was probably the most selfless thing that Rhonda Rousey did in all of wrestling. And even that like she refused to tap out. She refused to have her shoulders down for three to referee had to count three, even though she like got her shoulder up. So like, did she really kind of give this amazing gift to Becky Lynch or to WWE just kind of post produce it to the point where they could make it workable.

15:37I feel like there was maybe a little a column A, a little column B. And I'm even going to add a little bit of column C to this in that. Okay, Becky has spent the subsequent six years since then fumbling that ball horribly. I don't understand like it's like she wanted to become like a like a heel and a mid card heel instead of like a main event top of the card person. There, there was a nine month period from the time that she slapped the toast at a Charlotte's mouth at summer slam until she left to for pregnancy leave where it seemed like she could basically become like as popular as like the like Steve Austin was. Yeah, she was doing those segments with Steve Austin like like she came back and changed her gimmick into I am now some kind of weirdo fashion icon with a completely different personality and like. It's like Final Fantasy, but like why did you throw like you had tapped into something that everyone was on board with and people wanted to like to elevate you to that point and yeah.

16:44You wanted to just play a weirdo character instead like right. Okay, but you know it's the separate issue from the round of thing yeah. Yeah, I like I don't I don't know I just I feel that Ronda is probably too much of a loose cannon if she's just here to escort Marina Shefear to the ring and then maybe get into like a post match brawl like you know and hopefully come out on the losing end of that post match brawl with whoever it is. Yeah, then fine, but I really I don't know how excited I am to really see her in even like a part time wrestling capacity for AW. What about the tag team division with Marina. I mean right now you've got you've got Megan Bane and Lena cross just won the tag team titles like I didn't even hear that. Yeah, you're going to put you're going to put Ronda Rousey against that like Megan Bane is in the prime of her career and is 15 years younger than Ronda Rousey lately.

17:47There's no reason. And Megan I think Megan Bane they've done a masterful job of making Megan Bane look like a monster. When you meet her in person, she's just like a really nice average girl. I hate to say that, but that's the truth. And you know, I know I had more in mind for like Ronda and Shefear to like plow right through Willow and Harley was what I was thinking. I mean, I would even say that Shefear at this point doesn't even need her I like the reactions that she gets when she comes out now. I feel with like a couple of subtle tweaks to her character. Right. I think the fans would really get behind her like she could be a great babyface when the time comes. I'm sure it's coming. Just like yeah, just the way she walks out and like immediately is like double middle fingering. Like taunting the crowd to boo her more like you know and the crowd eats it up.

18:47So. And I think she has come a long way as a wrestler. So I don't know when the time comes. I think she could have a really good babyface from. Do you think she could be the top girl in the company? Because like in my right now. I know, but like to me Tony storm has like. It's a tremendous gimmick and she put so much thought into it and but I feel like there's a shelf life to that. Like it's going to get old and it's going to get old really fast. It's it's not like you know like. It's going to become like milk at some point where like one day it's good the next day it stinks. And it's no offense to her. Like I said, I think she does a tremendous job with it and everything but you know. How long can she really run around doing that? I wasn't sure she'd be able to keep it up this long. But the thing is reading it up. Yeah, especially like when Mariah may left and like I'm just like, yeah, like this thing is going to. It's going to run its course very quickly.

19:48But I thought so too because you know that that was Batman and the Joker and the Joker left to go be a mid-quarter in WWE. Developmental territory. It's crazy. Yeah, I'm sure she'll get called up soon, but I don't know it's been almost a year. It's been a little while. But yeah, but but that was over a year ago now. So yeah, you know like Tony still doing her gimmick and I think it's good that she's not the champion right now. Yeah, I think that would have maybe. That may have it may have just been overexposure, but you know, she could take a backseat for a little, a little bit of time and. Come back a little refreshed, I guess. Well, they have so many women on the roster and now they have a four title or three titles that she can go after. So, you know, you can kind of space it out a little bit. You know, give. Yes. Get let it breathe as they say.

20:49Yeah, if Kuku, baby. I love that story. I'm sure people have that story. He's probably calling people as dusty roads. Y'all have them for being late to the arena. Then they come in crying and apologizing and Dosty's just like, you're cool, cool, baby. Good stuff. Yeah, okay. So the verdict. Ronda Rousey down. What do you think, Maestro? Can Ronda Rousey be worthwhile to A.W.? The money I see in that is if she can help elevate severe. Yeah. Well, maybe it'll just be that one thing. Yeah, I mean, severe. She's on her way right now. A.W. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

21:49Well, I, you know, I had my doubts about the whole John Moxley group. And I feel like he's helped everybody that has been in it with him, you know? So. I'll take it. Yeah. It's odd to see a, like, I don't even know what he is right now after Sunday. But it's odd to see a baby face leading a group of heels. That's where we are in 2026. He's a baby face. He's a baby face. They cheer him and they boo everyone else in the death riders. That's funny. Although now that I sprays back, Moxley might be back to be an A.W. We'll have to see. So fear will probably get cheered as long as. Ronda Rousey's not out there with her. Yeah. It's interesting. Ronda was wearing her Roddy Piper jacket when she showed up on Sunday. So she's still stealing his hammock.

22:50Yeah. I was like, okay. But at least it wasn't like the Kilton, you know? But that really was just like good girl Ronda. Anyway, the one that smiled and weaved at everybody. Because it wasn't the bad pipes. Yeah. You know, the big friendly Ronda Rousey, the one that loves everybody except for Alexa Bliss, who she gives concussions to. Yeah. That one. Yeah. God. I don't know. I don't know. Let's go to, uh, got rat Patrick. Oh, God. What's going on? Woo! I'm in Florida, buddy. How y'all doing? I did. That was nice. Oh, I'm in Florida, buddy. How y'all doing? I said, wow, she did come back and somebody said, oh, she's not coming back in the restaurant, but we're bringing it up back. Yeah. Was I right or wrong about Ronda Rousey? I don't remember you ever found anything about it coming back. Well, we'll go back a couple of months earlier and I'll pay every tape. Okay, I'll play every tape trying to find when you said that. But I tell you what, who's coming back? Who's that? Want me to tell you? Vince McMahon. I heard that too. He's coming back. No. Yeah. Somebody really big. Bad news, Alan. No.

But they're singing WWE and AEW to help each other out. Tony Khan has the money to buy all those people that they can't seem to sell. And they can put people in AEW shirts in the crowd. And then most people would be advertising AEW and WWE would get the money,

Is they're starting to make matches on their show that are also going to be WrestleMania matches like they're doing Jacob fought 200 Mac entire this week. Yeah. And then that's supposed to be WrestleMania. I'm wondering if they're going to do anything with LA night. It's a good question. It's a really good question. I'm sure he was supposed to be involved in the vision thing. But then all those guys got hurt. You would think they'd come up with something. Maybe he'll just be in the US title thing with uh. And then probably dominate. Hmm. I don't know. And that's possibly an impence of the icy title. And it seems like injuries are holding everything up. Like they were talking about um. Seth Rollins against um. Braun Breaker. I'm guessing that's not going to happen.

36:34Yeah. Originally, Braun Breaker was going to be challenged and see him punk. Like that was what they originally had in mind. Uh-huh. So. Yeah. Quite a few have injuries now. I'm wronged in punk. I think it's going to be a fun mean event. But you know, I it's weird because you either love CM Punk or you want to see him get beat up. You don't have the two options. After last week on Smackdown with the turn with Randy. It's really put a lot of juice. I don't know. Him and Cody's feud leading the media. So. Yeah. I didn't get a lot of steam. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I like the old aggressive Randy. You know, I'm hoping he's back. I was much needed. Much needed. Yeah. He's just like, he just seemed like too comfortable. Same old. You know, they need something to.

Like it was a report that came out last week that Brock Lesnar said. He doesn't want to lose any more matches until his retirement. Oh, geez. Now, first of all, that doesn't sound like Brock, but he's been willing to put over. It seems like everybody that they've asked him to. Oh, yeah. It seems like, you know, I mean, he put it in for Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre Seth Rollins. He isn't going to read it. The only person he didn't put over was almost, almost, almost, almost, almost, whatever. Yeah. You know, that's a big guy. Howard closed them almost. Almost. I think it's a good name. I had a few months to really put things in perspective when it came to the back yarders and myself and it's been three and a half plus years of Clutch Rockwell losing to every ECWA legend that walked through that door while while my stablemates are winning tag team titles territory titles you name it they were winning while I was losing I was putting them before myself which I

43:46have no problem doing but it wasn't reciprocated so the time has come the fans definitely got back in my in my head if you will and I wasn't even supposed to be at the super eight I'm sure you know that I was supposed to also Greg Greg Spitz in the garage match and he didn't get medical clearance but there was just the part of me Brady there was a part of me where I was like I need to book this flight anyway like I need I need to get I need to get my ass to the super eights the most okay important show to kick off the ECWA season every year and I was like I just need to find the right opportunity and find a way onto this show the best way that I can and unfortunately for JD Luscious you got removed from that tag team match and that was my opportunity and you can't just let an opportunity pass you by anymore and I really need to open up

44:49the eyes of my former stablemates the back yarders and that was my way of doing it well I for one and glad that your ass came to see your parade it was tremendous to see you out there now obviously Greg Spitz he sustained an injury because of you who's you hit him with your plaque and obviously with this kind of change of approach to this new mindset whatever do you have anything that you want to say to Greg Spitz sure looking back at it so what had happened was for the people are not aware Greg and I were wrestling the last show the year for ECWA my my stablemate my fellow back yarder abs armster on try to bring in my whole fame plaque for me to use it as a weapon and I wasn't planning on using it at all but I didn't even touch it actually it kind of just fell into the ring from what I remember and Greg picked it up I didn't realize that he picked it up and I

45:53launched launched at him with my middle rope clothesline aka the american missile and I the the frame hit him in the face knocked him out cold to give him some damage to his orbital socket from what I'm understanding and I yeah and in the moment I was very breakadocious and obnoxious about the victory but looking back at it like there was no way I would want to screw Greg out of a match at the super eight and you know take food off of his table as they say or food out of his fridge and you know off of his room out of a yeah you know so it's it I feel really bad about it looking back at it and I know Greg has something for me down the line and we'll cross that bridge when we get to it I do wish him a speedy recovery and I hope to see him soon one way or another that's minding nice of you um given the way all that went down and

46:53the way you've been in the last few years and again I don't necessarily have a problem with it I'm usually the one cheering you on for that kind of stuff uh but you know why should LA VIN trust you I mean you guys have been rivals for a long time sure um I I respect everything that LA VIN has done for the ECWA I've watched him rise higher and higher and he holds the most prestigious title and independent wrestling the ECWA championship and you know this past Saturday he had nobody to tag so when I was talking to him after the match after we had won the tag titles and he said he had looked up and saw me he thought he got knocked a little loopy because it made no sense to him why I would be in this corner and you know action speak louder than words right and I put a weapon on the back yarders which was just three and a half years of animosity and frustration on my end

48:00so we all got to benefit LA VIN's a tag team champion and now I am a record tying four time ECWA tag team champion so that's pretty cool very cool yeah and it's exciting exciting for you I think exciting for the fans who were definitely happy to see you back when they didn't expect you to be there obviously the next show is in May what can we expect kind of moving forward with the American missile well we'll see um tag team champion the president has in store for me and LA VIN maybe he's gonna have to do double duty he's gonna have to defend the tag titles with me as well as defend his championship um but yeah any and all comers let's go I love the ECWA tag team titles I take a lot of pride in the prestige legacy that those championships have they made my former partner and I Sam Shields the mid nice sensations those titles help put us on the map and now that they're not in

49:02the hands of King Reggie and Reggie's core or with the back yarders I plan on bringing those tag team titles back to the same level of prestige and honor that it was a few years ago so that's almost like a second okay yeah it's almost like a mean event kind of thing really with the tag team titles again which is exciting you mentioned Sam Shields and one of the listeners uh they want to know how weird it is to know you're gonna be looking in that corner and you're not gonna be Sam see Sam holding out his hand for you it's a totally different scenario I've I've kind of made a in the 25 years that I've been doing this Brady and Stro I've I've loved tag team wrestling I've had a lot of tag team partners throughout the years and unfortunately I've won a lot of tag team championships I think it's the most beautiful form of professional wrestling um so the fact that Sam is not the guy that I'll be tagging in or looking for the tag from moving forward

50:04doing this title run it's gonna be a bit different you know uh me and Vin are gonna have to figure out a lot of things we don't really know each other that well um I just know he's a powerhouse and he's he's sent to me Rockwell you're unpredictable man he goes I don't know if I could really trust you he goes but let's ride this out let's get these titles back to what they used to be and more importantly let's just keep them out of the hands of the people that we don't want to be the champions and I was like I could get with that but I also told them Brady this is between those three uh yeah we won't tell anybody okay good uh this is an exclusive I said Vin oh okay I did not I did not have to come out and help you to reasons I went out there yeah I had to prove to the fans and myself that I am I guess you could say a changed man now I'm I miss the cheers of the fans and this past Saturday Brady it took me nine hours of travel in one day just to have just to have a three minute moment
