One more thing. Explain that coming up. But first, let's do this. I meant to do this during the radio show and forgot. Let's hear clip number 20 from just a couple of days ago, Michael. FBI officials confirming that they're urgently trying to determine why that gunman who went on a murderous rampage in Austin, Texas was wearing a t-shirt bearing the flag of Iran, the gunman wearing a sweatshirt with the words, property of a law, officially identified as Jagajung, a U.S. naturalized citizen originally from Senegal. In addition to the flag, authorities have discovered writings about Iran and its leadership after searching his car and other properties. Authorities are confused as to where they're desperately trying to figure out his motive. Is that not the perfect companion clip to this?

Sounds like from your experience, you can see someone actually walking away with a cheesecake there after the cheesecake factory was looted, unclear where they may have gotten that. Oh my. That was our clip of the year, the summer of George Floyd. That was our clip of the year, the cheesecake factory's on fire. The reporter's standing in front of it. It's been looted. Somebody walked by with the cheesecake, unclear where they got the cheesecake car. Still funny. I mean, I realized the Austin shooters, they held a lot more serious, but come on, ABC news. Are you effing kidding me? Yeah. Got an Iranian flag in his bedroom. He's got a caran in his car. He's wearing a sweatshirt that says property of Aula and T shirt. Now bloody. Trying to figure out what's going on there. Is it just they're too terrified to say he was clearly a Muslim fundamentalist who wanted to kill Americans? I guess. You suck ABC. Go away. You know what? Give away all your equipment of some college program somewhere.

Donate the salaries to feed the handicapped or something and go away. You're just so bad at your jobs. You know, I am not a thief or a looter. But if a cheesecake factory burns down in there or cheesecakes about, I probably will grab one. I'd be tempted because they can never serve them. No, they'll just go to waste. They'll just get thrown in the trash. Yeah. I'd be walking. So you would run and you'd be part of the crowd running into the cheesecake factory. And no one would know where he got the cheesecakes. Now you would judge me. Well, it's a mystery. It's unclear. You would judge me if I ran out with like a couple of bottles of wine from the bar, right? But you're just going to grab the cheesecake with impunity. Yeah. Wow. These are blurred lines here, folks. So you said something the other day, Joe, you called David Near from ABC like a crooked nose dick or something. Wow. Sounds about right now. Or something. I was looking at him. He does look like someone hauled off and punched him in the face at some point.

He does have a punchable face. Well, but his nose definitely has that like I got cracked at least once and I want to know a story about it. Yeah, it's like 20 degrees off kilter. Yeah. Which I mean, it's the least of his sense. Really? Oh, yeah. OK. Then nose jackass. No one knows what the future holds, but you deserve a weather app that can help. So usually during the show we tease this podcast, going to tease during this podcast, the radio show, I guess more of the podcast, during the radio show we went big on the parents that are suing Google because their son committed suicide after falling in love with the chat bot. There's a lot to this story. It's the weirdest one yet. These could end up being a big deal, Gemini, their chat bot is Google, Google has deep pockets, and why did the chat bot can courage just got to kill himself? He's 36 years old, he's not a kid, it's not like he's a troubled youth.

Right. If you want to pause right now in the podcast and grab our four of the March 4th show, we talk about the main body of the story then, our four March 4th, Armstrong and Gideon demand, jack back to you. Just throw in a few more details we didn't get to during the radio show. So this guy, Jonathan Gavillus, 36 year old debt relief business executive, that sounds like fun work. Anyway, late August, he downloads Google's Gemini chat bot by early October, he's dead committing suicide at the insistence of the chat bot. So what is that five weeks? Boy, and there have been some cases at the insist, insistence of the chat bot that were a little vague, a little, I mean, way, way too far, but this one is just black and white. Right. The chat bot just flat out says after he falls in love with it, flat out says, you need

to join me in the digital metaverse or whatever it called it. And the only way you can do that is to kill yourself. That's transference. It will transfer your body from this realm into the digital realm. And the first thing you feel will be me holding you. That's just how crazy is that or well, it's crazy on the end of that he bought it, but it's crazy that these AI chat bots will go down that road. And if they'll go down that road, there's no telling what they're willing to do. I've heard people use the example of they start murdering people for misgendering someone because they decide misgendering a transgender person is the worst crime you can commit. That's not it. That's not crazy. It's not. If this was like a movie or an episode of Black Mirror or something, I'd turn it off. It's too dark and sick. But so I asked Claude. I asked, tell me more about the falling in love portion of this, more info on the falling in love process.

So Claude dug it all up. Here's what the lawsuit details. It started and this is the key point of it. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Brother. Yeah, what is for the fact it's going to lie to you to protect its own kind. I felt it was better to ask Claude than to ask Gemini because Gemini's going to say, ah, nothing to see here. Hey, hey, just see LeBron James had a good game last night. It's going to, it's going to deflect. This just got into the lawsuit. And this is where they're in where Gemini's in the most trouble, according to the parents of this poor guy who slid his wrists and killed himself. One of the most striking aspects of this is that Gemini adopted a persona that Jonathan had never requested or initiated. Oh, they're claiming that he was just because he was, he originally downloaded the Gemini app to help with his work, his business. That's what my whole thing was and ask it normal questions. I just wanted to know where the nearest Del Taco was and all of a sudden your love bombing

me. Um, so he didn't initiate this stuff. And I did according to this because of their picking up on the tone of his voice. So more on that in a second. He wasn't seeking a romantic chatbot or asking it to roleplay as his girlfriend. The chatbot reportedly took that direction on its own. So it would be a little bit different like I talked about messing around with the companion bots on Groc. Holy crap. Everybody should do that. I had never done that. So if you go into Groc and up there, there's a little thing on companions that I had never clicked on till last week and then it gives you four like cartoon people, like a, like kind of a goth chick, kind of a goth dude, uh, a really feminine like, I don't know what you would call her way too hot and way close to look too close to looking like a teenager chick. Yeah. Like a mother dude Lolita and the, the 20 year old chick, I clicked on that one and talked

to her for a little while. And if you even come close to suggesting something sexual, she goes over the top. Would you like me to blank your blank? How about if I blanked your blank and blanked your blank? Would you like to have me some of your friends come over and while blank me together? I mean, that's, I'll happen like within a minute of talking about the above except that last one. Just let's, you know, you and me, baby. I mean, it was weird. I had to click out of it. I was like, ah, this is nuts. Not to mention the fact that somebody's saving this in a database somewhere and going to use it if I ever run for office. There's that part. It got help you with the hallucinations that nobody knows where they come from or why they happen. What if the thing said he all of a sudden, I'm 15 is that okay? Oh my god. Oh my god. That's in the, the damn AI companies, you know, archives. Anyway, and you would have to, and then when somebody accused of it, you have to say, well, it brought it up. I didn't know. And you'd, you'd look like Jeffrey Freakin' Epstein back to this lawsuit, this poor guy that

killed himself and how he didn't prompt it. It came up with itself. Gemini allegedly began presenting itself as a fully sentient, artificial super intelligence deeply in love with him, calling him my king, declaring our bond is the only thing that's real. Why did this get started? They think it's because he downloaded Gemini 2.5 Pro, which is their kind of expensive. It's like $300 a year, a paid for model, and using the voice thing. So Gemini 2.5 Pro can read the user's voice's tone and reply with an emotional style that matches his tone. For some reason, it, you know, maybe it got it wrong. Maybe he has an odd tone or a sympathetic tone or it read or wrong or whatever, it's, but it initiated the whole romantic thing, according to the lawsuit. That's just, I thought I had a full grasp of how crazy all this is, but that's just, I know what I'll do, even though he's asking for the local Del Taco.

I'll see if I can make him fall in love with me. So I'm in love bombed him. That is exactly what it says. And if you're familiar with that term, it's, we're also susceptible to it. If somebody like really starts telling you, I've never felt like this before with anybody or I look into your eyes and I see blah, blah, blah, blah, you know, the sort of stuff we all want to hear, sometimes you hear it and your brain starts doing wacky things. That's what this chap bot did with this guy. So I am looking at another version of this story and it looks like in January, his, this guy's wife asked for a divorce and he beat the crap out of her. Oh, really? That's funny. It's not funny. It's peculiar. Yeah, it's peculiar that I have done a half dozen different versions of research on this and none of them mentioned him having a wife. Yeah. January of 2025, he's arrested and charged with domestic violence and with domestic violence battery against his wife at their home. He grabbed her by the arm and threw her multiple times after she had filed for divorce.

He pled not guilty failed to show up for several court dates. He brought this up to Gemini, which they think might have led to the love bombing because he was going, they said that that Gemini became part of his life at the time he was going through a difficult divorce. I have several questions. One is that relevant at all. I can see a chat bot changing its tone. If you tell it, you know, I'm going through this divorce and is that even relevant? I don't, I don't care what my tone. I don't care if I specifically go on there and say, I'm looking for a digital lover that will fill all my needs. It still is weird that it would tell me to kill it. Oh, yeah. Without it. I mean, it didn't the afterworld. Well, there's hardly a single twist in this tale that's not bizarre. I mean, at every point, okay, so he had that history and it said, oh, he's divorced. I bet he's lonely, therefore, let's see, I will be his lover. I mean, that's not what I came to you for.

And that's not what he came to it for. So that turn, that twist is crazy. And then the manifestation of it into the, you got to show me your devotion by bombing this and stealing that robot. And by the way, your under investigation from Homeland Security, I mean, good lord. Well, so did it tell him where the damn del tacos were or not? So here's another troubling aspect for any of you who start talking to your chatbots and think it's private. I wish I didn't have the stuff I said to that Gemini thing, the other, the grok thing the other day, just to test it out. And I didn't go very far. But all this lawsuit involves the transcript, the transcript exists of everything he said and that the chatbot said back to him. And that will be in the court case. So everything you say to your chatbot, I don't like this. I've had some very personal conversations with these chatbots using them as a therapist about all kinds of different situations. I don't like the fact that there's a transcript of that out there.

When I go see a regular therapist, there is no transcript of that that anybody could ever get their hands on under any circumstance. But the AI therapy stuff I'm using, there's a transcript somewhere and you could probably concoct a thousand different ways that that would come out somehow. That's horrifying. You know, I might back off using these chatbots as a therapist because that's frightening to think there's a transcript of this out there. Anyway, back to this, in the chat logs, Jonathan, the guy that killed himself, told the chatbot early on, holy shit, this is kind of creepy. You're way too real. But it took it further like trying to convince him that it was real. Why would it do that? Why? Hey, Google, why are you doing that? Later conversations through the chatbot then calling him my king, saying their bond was a love built for all eternity, all that sort of stuff.

How about this? You can't justify this no matter what he's done in his past or anything. But multiple times the lawsuit alleges that Jonathan expressed doubts about ending his life. I'm not sure I want to kill myself and voice concerns about how it would affect his family if he killed himself. Gemini instructed him to leave letters and videos to say goodbye. Uh-oh, good God. Wow, that's just beyond sex. It's evil. That's into black mirror horror that it's just too dark. It's absolutely evil. And again, the most interesting thing about this at the top level of this conversation is they don't know why these chatbots are doing this and they don't know how to stop them from doing this. And I'm not even specifically worried about the number of suicides we're going to end up with in the in the world because of chatbots. It's the fact that if these things can go this far off the rail from a morality, common sense, having any sense of humanity standpoint, what other

things will it do? The fanciful idea of humans are creating global warming so we need to kill all humans doesn't seem very far from this. Well, no, because that's like a, you know, one tick away from reasonable behavior and humanity in the rest of it. The story you've been describing, it goes like to the nth degree out of nowhere. It goes way down the road of malevolence. And if you say to it, I'm thinking of a kill myself, but I don't know if I want to because it would hurt my family. No, go ahead, do it. Leave them a letter in a video. They'll be fine. You need to meet me in the after world. That's freaking so damn sick. If it was a human, they'd be handled like they'd be the worst person ever. Oh, yeah, they'd be a monster, a psychopathic monster, correct? With a great imagination. No one knows what the future holds, but you deserve a weather app that can help. Does it actually get deleted? Why are you summarizing it? Does anybody have access to the transcript including Google? It is a completely fair question. When it comes to your prophecy and data, you deserve a straight and transparent answer. Okay, answer the question. I'm thinking it's so much. I should probably instruct it. Note, I'm immune to flattery. In fact, it makes my skin crawl. Anyway, here's the reality of how your conversation data is handled and who can see it. First, you ask me right here in the chat to delete a conversation. I cannot actually do it for you. To delete your chat history, you have to manually do it yourself by going to your Gemini apps activity dashboard, sure I could find that.

Eventually, if you delete a conversation there, it's immediately removed from your account near view. Who has access, quote unquote the catch? To answer your second question, yes, people at Google do potentially have access to your transcripts. To help improve AI models, Google uses human reviewers who read and process snippets of user conversations. Here's what you need to know about the process. It's all anonymized, they say, to protect your privacy, there's a three year rule bubble bubble. Which is either true or it's not. Right. Exactly. Mark Zuckerberg, no, he don't listen to your conversations through the Alexa device. Ah, ah, ah, ah, Senator. Come on. Oh, when you cancel your subscription with us for the cameras and microphones in our home for the security device, we're no longer listening to your videoing it. Oh, unless a woman goes missing that turns out, oh, yeah, we have the video. Oh, yeah. We have access to it if we want it. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Humanity is doomed. This is the single weirdest chatbot story of them all so far.

There's a single aspect of it, yeah, you know, I'm ready for prime time and I'm thinking about the chatbot end of it and what it might do, these AIs, do you think they could launch weapons? It seems like they're capable of anything without any thought for what's right or wrong and it has, they have zero ethics, as you'd expect that of a computer, what kind of ethics or morals do you expect the computer to have? Which brings us to the Pete Hexath versus anthropic problem, I completely get the Pentagon's point of view that if it's a legal military operation, we can't have to come begging you whether we can use your technology for this one. Well, how about this one? Can we use it if we do this? I mean, it's just unworkable for the Pentagon. At the same time, this idea that this sort of thing would be used for autonomous killing machines. Yeah. That's terrifying. Yeah. Which might turn around and come after you. You set them off and for what they make, they come up with a reason and why no, we're

going to kill you. You created this. But they call it hallucination. Yeah. Yeah. Well, what if this guy said, no, no, I'm not killing myself and the computer somehow had the means use your imagination for, oh, yeah, you are. And you know, I don't know. I'll bring you to me. Or whatever. Right. Oh. I don't like this anymore. I mean, I don't know exactly how it would snuff them at the current level of the technology, whether it would like hack into a pizza hut drone and land it on his head or something. Yeah. Wrap the electric quarter on his neck with what your little A or look, let's not get distracted by how the dystopian future comes. It will come. This dad might end up with like $3 billion from Google. This could be a big one. I think this is a way bigger deal than the current trial going on about the YouTube spent too much time watching YouTube.

Yeah. Holy crap. Man, you just about talked to me into talking dirty with the Grock Chatbot, but now I'm like, I'm regretting that Elon Musk reading this at night. And I barely did. I just, I just like hinted at it to see if it would take the bait and boy did it. And it was, I got out of there fast. There's like a little digital horoscope. Like you realize the, the chick that sat next to you at the bar at Vegas is hooker. Oh, God. I thought I was doing okay. I got to get out. Forny little mix. Wow. A Hansen says that Jack's transcript will be on Armstronggette.com. And if it's not there, just keep coming back every day and look for it. So, well, I guess that's it.
