蜘蛛是人類的好朋友，雖然口器內有毒腺，但毒性只夠麻醉昆蟲或其他小動物，對於人類而言不會有什麼影響，辛苦結的蜘蛛網，反而能幫人類捕抓到蚊子、蒼蠅，這些害蟲，即使不會結網的蜘蛛也會四處移動，幫忙捕捉昆蟲。
