are. So here's what's crazy. So Angie sends me a text because she woke up Harper super young or early to go to breakfast. Is she just sent a picture of Harper like half asleep on the table and I'm like, that looks like butter 10. I'm like, you guys had breakfast and she's like, yeah. So I thought it was just the two of them. I didn't know my mother-in-law and my other daughter were there, right? So I didn't know it was four of them. I see that the bill because I get the old chase alert. I see the bills 91 dollars. Here's what's crazy. I completely thought it was possible that Angie and Harper ran up at a 91 dollar bill. It's my wife. I'm like, 91 dollars. That's a pretty standard Monday morning. It made a lot more sense when it was four of them. But for a second, I'm like, she's off to a good start this week. Breakfast for two, 91 bucks. It's an easy reservation. No, I swear it's just the two of us. And now I want pancakes. They're so good. God, that'd be great. Yeah, I would pay for that right now. Do you think they door dash that is my God, you're lazy?

That's less than a mile from your house. I can almost see it from that. You could almost walk there if you were really, really motivated. Yeah, but that major road's closed. I know that is a buzzkill. That is when that road opens, you could be there in what? I could walk a minute and a half. You could walk there. You could walk there. Yeah, no, zero times. Oh, I'd be a long walk. Yeah, be a long walk, but you could do it. Do a dog and I could do it. There'd be a 90 second drive once that street opens up. Man, you're going to be close. Yeah, it's going to be great. That street's been closed for four, 16 years. Yeah, yeah. Yep. How long do you think of 49 years? It's two weeks, correct? I can't buy. Look at you. I'm not that dumb. Who? Didn't know they had noses. Don't think to say true though. A new weapon is raised post a punch him. Punch him in the nose. Yep. But that thought that was just the tip. Pokemon the iron punch him in the nose. A new weapon against stubborn super bugs could be hiding inside the schnauz of us. And shark University of North Carolina researchers say that a microscopic bug pulled from sharks now slime off more head city is choking off rival germs in lab tests as part of an ongoing coastal study. Chapel Hill scientists caught the sharks and gently squeezed a clear jelly out of tiny electrical pores near their noses. Sharks use those tiny stout openings to track prey and biologists think friendly bacteria living there protect the exposed organs from dirty ocean germs. As super bugs continue to outsmart existing antibiotics in humans, the teams now identifying the chemicals behind the shark's defenses to see whether they could lead to innovative new treatments for people. I bet that bugger hanging out at sharks. Knows going to do some things for humanity. And people are smart. Brilliant, man. I read a story last night about this dude who was trying to figure out like the scientific makeup of some one of the things on the table. What do you call those things? Periodic table. That's it. Yeah. And he was watching a fire. And he was watching how the flames kind of look like snakes and how they kind of curled around on each other. He was like, that's it. And watching a fire clicked inside his head and made and realized what the genetic makeup of this thing was, I don't understand how smart people are. I don't know. And again, I understand that he just said, or she just said that like the obviously the nose is filled throughout the bad stuff in the ocean. So there must be something inside that nose. So they gently squeeze the goo out of the nose. But still, that's pretty damn smart, you know?

Pretty cool. To turn it back, we're quick to Mark Laurie. I asked him one time about, I don't know about books. Like are you a reader? And he said he had tried the audio. He said, no, believe you. Wow. That's what he said. I don't remember the second part of that. That's not very friendly. But he had said he tried to read books at one point. But what he found was that it took away his time for thinking. And I was like, same. Same. And I, it took me a minute because to your point, Huck, for those of us that maybe are not on that level, I was like, what do you mean? And he was like, well, I get a lot of my ideas and I spend a lot of time just thinking. So you're talking about the scientist looking at a flame and a whatever.

And that's when things come to him. That's how they develop ideas. That's how they look at a shark, snout, goobers, whatever. And they're not just looking at it. They're critically thinking and like wheels are turning and Corey's probably identifying with all of this. Not really. Because so I've done, I've had so many people tell me that exact same thing, right? That you're supposed to, when you go for walks, you're not supposed to bring your air pods to your headphones. You're supposed to just walk and think. Said, I convinced myself when I walk and listen to podcasts that I'm learning because I'm listening to things that I'm interested in about and I'm thinking about what I'm listening to. But experts say that's not the same thing as just thinking on your own for like a 45 minute walk. I don't do that at all. Like I said, I'm listening to Ben Mallor. 30 seconds after my alarm goes off, I have to hear something. I don't do well with silence. I listen to background noise all day when I go on walks, I'm listening to air pods. I don't like silence at all. So I don't leave myself almost any time for just thinking and silence.

I'm thinking and sometimes I'm tuning out what I'm listening to. But just walking around and silence, that seems psychotic to me in 2026, even though it's ridiculously good for you. Exactly what you're supposed to be doing, but I just can't do it. I get uncomfortable. But if you needed to come up with ideas, like if you're, I don't know, that little game you have thing, that thing, if you had to come up with a new way to like ship it or box it or what you would spend time thinking and trying to figure out. Totally, but with sound, I'm not sitting in a room. Yeah, I'm not sitting in a quiet room. That's exactly when I throw the office on her parking wreck or something, just for background noise or 20s live three to four 30. Yeah, everybody's different, man. You know, it's weird. I need movement. I can't be sitting still. Your own movement on our own movement. I need to be moving. Whether I'm driving a car or walking. That's the only way I can think. Writing songs. It's the only way I can do it. I can't sit in a room and do it. Writing stories. I can't do it. It's the weirdest thing. But you know, that's one of the things I read about a lot is boredom.

Kids are allergic to it. Yeah. But that is where you figure things out. That is boredom is creative. Boredom makes you go out in the woods and figure things out. Makes you go out in the woods and try things. Makes you make friends. Makes you talk to people. Boredoms, a good thing. But they don't have, they don't know how to do it. No, they do not have silent spaces at all. They see boredom as depression. They see inactivity as a bad thing. And it's very healthy. Yeah. I was bored as hell as a kid. Same. Bored as hell. We lived on a farm. My brother was five years older than me and wanted nothing to do with me. I went out in the woods by myself all the time. Yeah, made your own fun. Yeah. Yeah. I was bored in the woods. Okay. So, so when I'm quote thinking, I have to be listening to something. It can't be silent. When Chris is thinking, he has to be moving. And here with what he does when he's thinking is the fans Paul Lambert.

My honest answer is I always have the fan on like the radio station. The station is always on in my house. The second I get home, I just put it on. I am like you Corey, I hate silence. I can't live in silence. And if I have to live in silence, guess what I do. And this is not I'm dead serious. I talk to myself. I hate silence. I think everybody's mad at me or I did something wrong. You asked so I'm going to unpack all this. I hate silence. Like even when like when you talk to yourself, do you argue with yourself? What do you, what give me an example of the last thing you argued with yourself? I don't know. I probably talked about how I don't need to have a third bowl of cereal or something like that or like it's a lot. So you hang on. I'm not, this is for the first time. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm actually asking this sincerely. So you have in the past physically out loud projected the words, damn it Paul. You didn't need that third bowl of foodie pebbles. Put it down and do something else.

Yeah. It's fascinating. What's unpacked this? The best thing that GLP ones have done for me is they've stopped a lot of the food noise. The voices in your head. I've gotten yo yo my whole weight, my whole life is it's always food noise. It's always what I'm going to eat when I'm going to eat. Maybe we should have more and that is almost stopped thanks to GLP ones. Now I'm probably losing all my muscle and all that, but like it has helped me huge in that aspect. So to answer your question, music or the radio. The fan radio station is always on in my house, especially two to three. Oh, especially one thirty to two on Thursday. I love this. So you need stuff on. I need to be moving. I had five things written down that I thought he was going to say when you asked him that question. Mm hmm. Jerking it. Yeah. Well, it's kind of. Yeah. Yeah. Two in his base. Yep.

I'd jerking it again. I was hoping. I thought that's the five things. Yeah. I was wrong and I'll five on. No, I just I like the radio on or I played video games. Sure. Mine was video games. Barnes. How do you do with silence? Thrive. You do. Wow. Well, did you hear about Chris next week? Come on, man. Hey, do you hear about what Chris is doing next week? Were you listening early enough? Yes, I did. What do you think the longest in your life you've ever gone? Couple of minutes. Like that. So unless I'm sleeping. But you thrive in silence truly? Yes, a perfect example is packing. Like if I'm going on a work road trip or even like most recently when my niece got married last weekend or last weekend, last month. If I'm packing and you know, I'm listening to music or I have a the TV on or whatever, when it comes down to like, okay, do I have everything? I have to shut everything off. I have to go mute, mute, mute. And then I sometimes I even have to sit down.

And then I have to like play it out in my head. Like, okay, the first night and then I get it. If there's any noise, it's not that it distracts me. It just I can't like zone in. So I like silence. Enjoy the silence. What a banger. Great. Great. One of the best of all time. One of the best of all time. We made the mistake of not going to see them at the fair. Isn't it? Yeah. I don't know if we would have gone together, but no, we would have gone. Separately, I have to listen to something. I bet somebody you might have gone. I want to listen to you argue with yourself. What about Zach? I'm addicted to YouTube. I have to have like some video playing or something at all times. And then even if I'm scrolling through Twitter, there's got to be something playing in the background or I don't know. It's the weirdest thing. I can't. Yeah. Silence is awful. So don't do that. Idiot. And how many times like there's a few things in life I like more than morning Vegas strip walks. Well said.

Take it off, baby. Take it off. But I can't imagine doing that without AirPods. Yeah. I would feel and what's crazy is 20 years ago I did that. But now it's like, am I just going to walk in the sun by myself? Hot. What? Like that sounds like a punishment, right? Like I lost the charge challenge or something. I'm not walking the Vegas strip without listening to something. Well, I think most people would agree with you on that because otherwise you're just listening to horns honking and in your own thoughts. And that's terrifying. The guy with the horn is head talking to Hawk. And the guy Pidlin down his pants. Excuse me. That was. He was walking right next to us. He's happening in Vegas. Yeah. That's when he was on his way to slot so fun. We're going to be there in two months, right? November 18 through the 23rd. I think 18 through 23. Can't wait. I also find out if the twin signed a backup catcher or if Scouts are going to be at a high end, a college football game. Cubscouts? No, like football scouts. I mean, Cub Scouts, I'm sure go. Yeah. I never did that stuff. I never did Scouts. Maybe I should have. You can't start a fire to save your house. Start a fire. Yeah. Yeah. I don't like mosquito bites. Yeah. And again, it was, I got bit like we just went through this like a month or so ago, but a couple years ago before the day before I left for the World Series of Poker main event, perfect timing to have basically your entire legs destroyed by mosquito bites. And it literally was distracting the entire time I was playing. You're getting it on outside. Nope. And then they lasted weeks, like literally weeks. What were you doing? Did you get so beat up? Nothing. I'm just one of those guys at mosquito. Remember, we did that story where like mosquitoes, scientists are working on why mosquitoes are attracted to some blood types more than others. Yeah. I'm one of them and I don't know why. Like in my 20s, I couldn't get women to be attracted to me, but I could sure as hell it could get mosquitoes to be attracted to me. It's always been mosquitoes. Their left tackle this weekend. And it'll be worth it is their pressure. They can put on the quarterback and keep them in any game. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I just, I am concerned about the lack of bodies that running back for us right now. I don't think we can continue to give Aaron Jones the ball every time. No, but Kyler being back there means maybe we'll get more running out of out of the quarterback. Obviously. And Tampa doesn't have a lot to a lot of film to look at to be able to prepare.

But isn't it also like the giants were mostly disappointing last year, right? The main way to win coach of the year is to take a bad team and turn them into a winner. Right. That's why Kellan Moore is the favorite right now, right? If the saints even remotely sniff the postseason, that's way over achieving. Well, son, that's why Chad Abbott is MVP. Every year. So Koc's back in the mix for coach of the year. Kyler Murray is back at quarterback. Joann Jennings, we mentioned this earlier is back after a death in the family, not exactly sure who's maybe some of our business, but so he's back after a week off. He missed the Bears game. So full slate of receivers. Let's go. Here's K.O. on Kyler's first game before the injury. Looking back on those first few plays, and I would just say there was a third down conversion

where he sat in there, tight completion adjusting. He did use his legs and protect himself on another play. And then just, you know, going back to that second play, that's a great example of, we can't compound somebody else's error. We opened up the A-Gat. That is not how we would ever play that down. If we give our offense 100 snaps, that should never happen. 100 out of 100. And it did on that one. And then it compounded with a turnover. Hmm. There you go. Yeah. What did Kyler get? Was it 11 snaps? 11. Yeah. So that's what that's our knowledge right now. That's right. Obviously it didn't look good. It was early. It was game one. It looked disjointed and unorganized. strip the ball or punch it out. Like let's say, Jalen Rudman last week learned more of that technique in camp, right? They taught like how to do an actual punch juggernaut and they, they, they told juggernaut make sure you punch like this when the ball is being held here, punch like that. All right. If you're teaching how to strip it, that's coaching, but the whole like we really have put in emphasis on turnovers. Yeah. Every team in the history of football wants to create turnovers. You can't just manifest them. Well, I wonder though, because I wonder, you have an, you have X amount of time to practice and to put in your game plan and to put your focus on things. I wonder if it does matter if you say one of our focuses this week is punch that damn ball out of their hands. I don't know. Well, but yeah, that's specifically. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Specifically training to let's not, like this guy historically handles the ball pretty loosely. Let's make sure we work all week on ways to knock it out of his hand specifically. That's very different than guys, guys, guys, we, we got to stop giving the ball away and we got to turn the ball over.
