I'll save this and I've said it all I'll see you in long I think when it let's go back to last year's draft class I think Andrew Barry knocked it out of the park I think he had another good draft this past draft so I also one I think I was on with the first big podcast I'm actually buying stock in the Cleveland Browns right now not literally of course I don't have that type of money I need to invest more but I believe in what they're doing obviously you want to figure out the quarterback spot but I do think this is a very talented Browns defense I think they have guys up at every level but then I also think on the offensive side of the ball they have more weapons than they had probably in a very very long time and I do think that once they figure out the quarterback spot I think this team has a chance to complete to win that division.

Former NFL GM serious XM NFL analyst Rand Carthon in the previous segment I'd like to point out that since I put the belief sign up in the studio yesterday and decreed in eight wind season for the Browns you're people are coming around yeah is that what that was. I was I did think you did a little a little bit of I don't know now he's not leading the jury he said what he said but you're like oh it's good to know that you think they're going to be competitive and I was waiting for Rand to be like I never said competitive I just said good and you don't need a quarterback necessarily to win in a my heart. I I believe I believe Rand and I were Sympathico and it's okay the rest of you will get on board with with our brilliance in time sure sure right I just need a little bit of time and all of a sudden I'm going to look very smart as again for anyone listening that may or may not work for the station who says they're not sure where we stand on this I've said the Browns will win eight games this season eight is your number six is my number and I just we just want to make it confusing for people yeah I did we know it's very confusing

for people for some reason eight it's also really serious business by the way like you don't know where a host stands in their preseason win total yeah what are we really doing yeah it's about serious you don't even know him personally it's about as serious of a thing as you could possibly ask of somebody honestly just the whole medium this is a very serious intellectual thing we're doing very very high brow yeah none of this is meant to be fun none of this is about having fun we're definitely definitely do remember people's predictions from last year and certainly hang that over their heads for sure and whatever you do the worst thing you could do for predictions is make a prediction and then like talk to a Browns backup quarterback or former Browns backup quarterback and then change that opinion that this show would never do that was that was last nobody on the station would do that was last year in the positive direction this year oddly enough because I think that same fellow you're referencing started at eight wins and his worked his way down to five now they talked to a former Browns it's better like once every two or three weeks we've lost a win in in that person's eyes and so I just I find that part interesting as well could be his co-host just whittling him down day by day he's just being his spirits being broken he turns

into like Brooks from Shawshank okay hey he could put that sign up Brooks Brooks was right mine's mine's believe his is Brooks was here we're having fun hey we're having fun now we do have much to get to on the show we've got Pete Futech coming up in one hour's time but as we're talking about there with Rand Carthon obviously we have a conversation about the quarterback position and the modern boys today now this is how you do it yeah you you take a piece of sound that's properly cut and then you play it on air and allow people to hear what the other person said isn't you know some shows like to you know grossly misparaphrase things are mid tick things out of context or just I don't know read a cut sheet and then just think that's the only thing that has anything to do with all we're talking just in generalities here not in specifics we're just gonna get them all out before we see him tonight by the way and then we'll repeat them to their face here's the morning boys today talking about how people would feel if a different starting quarterback was in play for the Browns I think only in Cleveland

and notably on the radio are people saying that were doomed in the opener because it's to Sean when around the country they would have said the exact same thing for Shador yeah so on what are you gonna say I'm just you wouldn't have thought it thought any differently you wouldn't have any look towards hope at all if it was Shador over the Sean him on Shador why I think you would have been more exciting growing the football that's what I'm so that's not necessarily winning football but it would have been different like in fact I could be a system that's called me as we've been in forever all right I don't know who the hell cut that one that was not a great cut uh but the point is is I for the the entirety of the summer we kept talking about the idea at least I could bring it up how I have a win total for if Shador starts and I have a win total of the Sean starts I already talking about it wouldn't be different if if you had Shador as a starter in week one of course it'd be different also I know that that line my is the the king of the Brian Hoyer fan club so maybe he just likes quarterbacks that only check the ball down I I've watched a lot of

football here I don't claim to be a football guy because I don't coach a middle school team but what I can tell you is yeah you should throw down a football down the field that should impact your thoughts on if you're able to win or not a massive difference in the NFL if you can throw the ball down the field or not also why is it crazy for people to look at what the Sean has done and be like I don't think he gives you a chance to win or also maybe that impacts our win total in some sort of aspect or I don't get it where is this we got to trust the Browns nonsense coming from and again I like the offseason that they had the one qualm I had was the quarterback spot but there's nothing in the bylines of being a radio host or a Browns fan that say I have to have a slavish devotion to it to to any decision they make specifically the dumbest most insulting when you could imagine I know but the heart of this convo is the idea of what you think about Chador versus what you think about the Sean and if you think to Sean is absolute trash and you think Chador is absolute trash then you get to a spot where you could see how somebody be like yeah my win total projection doesn't change at all if you have five wins or four wins are going to

still think five or four wins no matter what we just don't see it that way because I don't I don't think Shador Sanders is trash I think to Sean Watson is trash I don't think Shador is trash I guess I'm saying Shador belongs in the Hall of Fame either by the way guys I guess it's a weird thing because it's like I think there's this idea of they you know they think Shador is great and then they they they just think the Sean's less than that no no I don't know what Shador is I like what I saw in pockets from last year I'm at least intrigued by his playmaking ability and I have less than anything to say about the Sean yeah we're in that's not even games of awful play from the Sean one that's not even because he just took a torch to the fan base here in Cleveland and seemed like a guy who's trying to play the victim card after five freaking years no this is purely about football from a football perspective if you're if you're only defensive Dishon starting for the Browns is you think Todd monkey does no you think you think Todd monkey would risk that's not that's not I need defense of Dishon Watson no it's not a defensive Dishon defensive Todd

Munkin's decision it's not a defense or an endorsement of what Dishon is done what's funny about it too is I can hear somebody that wants to defend Dishon in this be like well nothing was worse than what Shador's Sanders season was last year for the Browns and it's like wouldn't actually yes it was the 2024 Dishon Watson season he had a lower EPA per play than Shador Sanders did last year and had the lowest out of any qualified quarterbacks in the NFL in the previous half-decade that belongs to Dishon that doesn't belong to Shador it belongs to Dishon I just think it's the funniest thing to call back to what Rand Rand said in Rand Carthon joined us earlier this hour I just there's this prevailing thought of man I love what the Browns are doing except at quarterback and it is just it is funny to watch everyone be like man they just had a real quarterback as if the Browns didn't just have an offseason to make that happen as if the Browns didn't didn't themselves back themselves into a corner of Dishon versus Shador right they could have done this differently I mean there's no there's no denying that they they didn't have to go this route with Dishon they didn't have to make it Dishon versus Shador they did and now we're all

talking about the 2027 quarterback class instead 216 474 0092 how different would your expectations be if Shador was the starter and by the way if all if if the only difference is it's simple it's three wins for me Nick that's a significant win difference I think it's I think it's three wins I think the difference is somewhere in there and and now again that's acknowledging I'm not being way too kind with Dishon Watson in my prey my prognostication of six wins in total because I think I think with Shador if Shador was starting week one I would be living where you are living with this team right now oh really I would I would not only I would put up a belief sign myself I would I would I would I would I would I would turn into Ted Lasso and just come up with speeches every single day to get people inspired I refuse to be your coach beer you be running through a wall okay it'd be it'd be fantastic we'd be loving it it's because it's Dishon that I can't quote unquote believe I do think there's a part of this that even if we take the wins out of it I think my expectations will be different and I think the offense would be fun to watch and I think it'd be a lot like it could be a lot like James Winston in his 30 for 30 30 season where

there's so many highlights and so many low lights you mean as 30 touchdown 30 interception season that's the one not the one they made a documentary about that they should make a 30 for 30 about his 30 for 30 season but no I mean I I think it would also be more watchable which if you can't be good being watchable is a trade off some fans would make especially in a year like this two and six four seven four double oh nine two how different would you expect expectations be if Shador was the starter and the fury that will not subside with Browns fans in five minutes right here on 92 three
