i don't know if you've heard officially the baker may field contract extension is being reported out there three years a hundred and sixty five million dollars fifty five million dollar per season uh... average for baker are you surprised at the at the deal and you surprised at the uh... the numbers for bake no because these are the things that happen right these are uh... like i would just tell you uh... you know i'd bet when you get to this part time a year there's tension because everybody's got to take on a bunch of injury risk teams will get the end of the year and see like what we wait until then and that's a problem uh... and so like that's what they mean when they say deadline for action you know when that real deadline comes to start the season usually pushes two sides closer together and the example of it right Albert uh... it seemed like the kind of the days been around uh...
rookie tailing green and uh... the idea of the time on concedede could be the active number two quarterback behind the shawne watson but obviously i had a should or sanders then as they take on jackson bill a we don't know if that means that they would be taking three active quarterbacks if it would be tailing green and then should work as the emergency quarterback i think this might just be gamemanship but how do you see this as far as uh... what munchens comments are and whether or not he's just creating and on just an unnecessary quarterback controversy i i you cut out for second there so i don't know i don't know how do you think this is just gamemanship i'm on camera do you feel like uh... this is him just creating an unnecessary quarterback controversy which the reality he could actually use tailing green is the back of quarterback in week one i mean i don't know i mean i think it there's different things you can do with tailing green you can't do with the other guys in the roster right and i think we also the talent and you know when you're talking about forty six man game day roster so i go
k-like what purposes that guy serve on game day and generally your backup quarterbacks are really just there for depth uh... there's a one guy a lot of times the only guy in the roster that you have on there that doesn't have some sort of special teams value or is it going to play some sort of role in off-answer defense and so like this comes back to kind of the case of health and i think that's the best example of it well you know like why did the why did the same that case of hill up for games when through breeze and teddy bridge water were active when those guys clearly were the one in the two was because they're different ways to use them whereas if you're third quarterback is just a developmental guy that you don't have any use for on sunday then you know then then then then then then certainly would dress up so like is there some games in ship here you know you force them to prepare for something else but i also think that there's a real scenario where you know when you're figuring out how to use your roster spots that could be a very useful way
to put on the albert dishawn watson starting this week uh... moment that i fought for all six months that you've told me that it was a possibility and maybe a likelihood what are reasonable expectations for dishawn on sunday against jacksonville i mean i think i think the main thing is like if you have a veteran quarterback you want to be proficient right the offense right and like that's the problem with having a rookie is like are you making it harder for are you making a hard for the other guys in the hot water because that guy isn't far enough along you know in this case i think that you know i think in this case it's can be get in and functioned high enough level where you can make adjustments that's going to be easier on the line can you change the play can you just guys brought uh... can he can he look on the other side and see the defense
and use the defense as rules against it uh... and that's a difficult defense to go against jacksonville too you know so i i was just saying like you know that's what you want to work with the rest of the can see uh... other than the offense looks like it's running efficiently if you have a bunch of all starts and penalties and guys misaligned and you know and and three-runners of the quarterback and you know things like that and you know you'll be able to you'll be able to you'll be able to see that and at that point so you'll get like well like now you've sort of take the advantage of the other now there uh... the human rights and number one and the number two i just think like some of the things that you're used to seeing you you solve for the marlene is career you know he was really i mean efficient player that really good instincts are on his career at a master making place and scrambled real and so do you see some of those people you know the whole game but you see sir like certain flashes poppin up where it's like okay like you get
the speed underneath that are made with the whole the board albert feels like any time we asked anyone about jacksonville it seems like a mix bag of opinions you can find some people say that they're overrated and then another group of people that think that well they were thirteen when team for a reason last year where do you and where do you think the rest of the NFL sides with what jackson bill is currently doing yeah almost like the honest with you don't feel like people forgot they want to be a last year i think i want you to be a lot of people have you know i did the quiet is thirteen when game thirteen one season of all time i i if you ask people on the up on the street who won the aft south last year what do you think they would say Houston yeah probably i bet you eighty percent i bet you eighty percent even knowledgeable football fans will tell you the taxes wanted but the jacks were the ones that had a whole playoff game last year you know uh... so i really like what they are like night i put them in a similar category to chicago and doing one where you could see progress but still a step back because they did have right class here
and a lot of things didn't wind up going there you know so all three of those teams are so like watching to the year before where you saw uh... a new head coach come in and a new head coach get a young quarterback going obviously covered over those other guys uh... a bunch of things go right to injury was on their side the schedule cooperated and before you know it all four of those teams one division title and at all well and so i i think what you have to go the basic young talent guys like i mean the receivers are going to be really good i think we're trying to listen parker washington and and you could be my office of line with arisen and little flipping i think i think i have a chance to be pretty good uh... you know you look at the people side of the ball you see a turn on walker and and and josh allen and travis hunters can be over there time now so the base of early to i think that there's a chance that they're better than they were a year ago but wind up with a worst record that makes sense
now i feel like we're saying the same thing about the cleveland cavalier so it makes total sense to cleveland fans uh... albert any chance with uh... cial in new england kicking off the season tomorrow night any chance of another variable racini story hitting this week no i mean i think of i i think they know right because i saw the numbers at several different places that i work and for one reason or another i mean that was like cocaine for the internet i i don't know why you know what i mean but like it was like every single story that came out on that um... for one reason or another has jeppie on it and the traffic was unbelievable and so i think it would be i i think it would be presumptuous to think that there's not somebody out there for showing something and like because just uh... amount of attention that all they got on the flip side i i don't know what else there is to dig into here
you know like i had an idea the one that came yesterday was coming and you know like that one was i mean i think more about brave along the page was that was about for seanie and i think in that case it was like okay like that's one of the last things that had to be covered with the page right now i know the whole thing i just don't know what's left unless there's some new wild revelation which i i don't think there's one coming Albert it feels like the talk of the NFL today is trying to figure out who's navigating the travel to australia the best is it the the 49ers plan of living there for a week or is it the the rams plan of basically seal team six were in and then we're out and also you we can we can cap in the idea that i think aeron donald is just not playing in this game because he doesn't want to do 30 hours of travel in 70 hours uh... but like is there is there been any talk around the NFL of like what the proper way to do some of these 16 15 hour flights and and trying to figure out the best way to do it well it is the first time that i've done it you know i mean that is a
as somebody who has been to that part of the world once uh... i went to my honeymoon we went to bolly and flew through Hong Kong i know how disoriented i was when i got to plane so it is i can say for experiences is not the same thing as going to europe i think it's interesting how different the strategies are right like this is my perception i would just never talk to you of the two teams the nighters want to go fully accume and be guns blazing for that rams team right so you go over there for a week that's a lot of time to accume and like they feel like they'll be right to go i think the rams are working at it they can't really say this but i think the rams are working at it a little more like there's a full season to play so do we really want to go through acclamation then re-acclination then like then you know like you're getting back and you have to just change your clock back versus just going grinning and bearing it
making sure your sleep schedule is on pace for those three days as best you can and not really changing the clock on yourself so when you get back you're as close as you can be to write your role for week two so we'll see how it goes you know i mean this is again like i'm charted territory and you know i i don't know if you have effect in the game or not i chances are if this is a close game we probably won't be able to tell right i mean ls one keep coming out and trips over it's on shoelaces for three hours like i think it might be pretty hard to tell and maybe even the planter is won't have answers until or a couple weeks down the road and a chance to look at all then Albert i you know this is a safe space we are on in cleveland not an arbor so this is a great place for you to be very honest if you feel like you think the michigan western michigan uh result should be changed by some NCAA committee that the mac appeal to today i hate the idea of overturning the result
however um it is them so i don't know uh i like you know it's like though like the best part about this from me like i was like a little bit like damn i you know it's kind of like root for miss western michigan there at the end of that game and then be then me and like a couple of my textbooks decided this is actually better isn't it in what way well just losing games just losing game but this is like really embarrassing what's going through right now right i think losing western michigan was about as embarrassing as it gets though i get you stamping down that hell with underwood i don't know though that the reaction the the field storming the mean mugging by underwood like i i almost feel it's more embarrassing the way like like what happened what's happened in the aftermath i mean the fact everybody saying things like you know you know from the school that that brought you a title you don't recognize here's a one you don't recognize um
you know all that like i mean i i i almost just like is this better than most of us i mean we remember the Appalachian State game for how many years now you know what i mean which which outcome uh and if they overturn this result we would remember this one even more right if they if they overturn it though but if it stays if it stays pat i feel like we talk about the western michigan loss for another 25 years if it ends up being a michigan win and what say michigan i even has like a good rest of the season which i don't think is going to happen i i don't know that i don't know the staying power is there that's a part for me that's so interesting isn't that this local homie game huge for them it's huge yeah i can become it becomes even bigger like if they go out there and just get there you know what kicked it and then like then what you know what i mean like now you so i mean but then you know by the same token they go out there and play great to the whole thing around you know so it like lines up i think that's a really interesting interesting element of a two is like there's really a lot on the line for that much Saturday now how does a lot of state texas play out Saturday
that's a great question i i think it's a really good game i don't hate texas um honestly i kind of i kind of look at them as like the southern version of us you know like the schools are so similar and they're both in capital cities and uh you know like they're both massive schools with tons of resources and so i would love to have gone there unfortunately it's week one of the NFL season if it had been labor day week i'd probably would have gone um i i i i have a day to say i think we went close one i just i i i think like this Ohio state team is really balanced and really and really deep and i'd do one question i have is the offensive line and can the offensive line hold up against their defensive line but i mean even like going against like Kim Pullman and Ryan Wingo who are both gonna be you know really good at self-layers i think like we've got a really experienced tough secondary with Sanchez and with Matthews and with
Kim and all those guys back there um i can't wait for i think it's gonna be a really really good game uh there's different things you can do with talent green that you can't do with the other guys in the roster right and i think we also the talent and you know when you're talking about a 46 man game day roster so i go tell you like what purposes that guy serve on game day and generally your backup quarterback are really just there for depth and so like this comes back to kind of the case of Hills and i think that's the best example of it well you know like why did the one of the same set case of hill up for game plan through breeze and teddy bridge water were active when those guys clearly were the one and the two oh because there's different ways to use them so like is there some games in ship here yeah you force them to prepare for something else but i also think that there's a real scenario where you know when you're figuring out how to use your roster spots there could be a very useful way to one talent green. Albert pretty of the mmQB and the previous segment great step with Albert as we get you ready for week one of the NFL season starting tomorrow new England and Seattle then the day after it's the Rams and 49ers and of
course we got Browns and Jags on Sunday i guess i would look at it if if four weeks from now Dishonest stayed healthy and tailon green is your your number two quarterback meaning uh Shadour's your emergency quarterback well i would have seen three weeks worth of Dishon Watson staying healthy i still would see immense risk at the idea of tailon being on the act of roster it seems like an immense risk but at least then i can say well i got three games to go on if you're taught munkin i got nothing i'm flying blind i don't trust uh Dishonest to stay healthy little around the damn office no and three weeks wouldn't change that for me i mean i was everyone just gets really comfortable with the idea that if Dishon goes down the game is cost anyway i just i thought we were trying to win games here i mean i like the idea is you're trying to win games you wouldn't just you wouldn't just send it to the post game show you'd play the game out and you you have the quarterback the next we make throws and make passes so i do think there there's something specific within what you just said that matters a lot to me um losing against Jacksonville when you're seven and a half point dog there's really no shame to it but the devil is in the details
here if Dishon were to get hurt on plane number two and then you had to play tailon until you could activate uh Shadour in the fourth quarter because you don't want to end up being down to one quarter because that's what happens if you have to go to Shadour earlier than the fourth quarter right um if you lost that way that's an unforgivable loss this would be something you could have seen coming absolutely unforgivable on top of playing Dishon week one is already kind of unforgivable i mean it's just uh it's a failure to uh i don't know kind of see the whole chessboard which i feel like is a constant with this browns team for his part of people as they are they fail to see the entire picture of things sometimes and this would be one of those instances it's why i just remain steadfast i don't think it's going to happen Albert made some good points i'm not trying to dismiss Albert's points if you think there's a a like a positive attach to green that exists and he could be a contributor i everyone understands that but the argument should be then for making a case that you keep three quarterbacks instead of making tail and green just your backup and then the emergency quarterback be in Shadour that should be the argument people are trying to make now we've been uh we've been talking about the big ten
Mac dispute where uh the mid-american conference earlier today released a statement saying on further review the big ten didn't use replay right and we want uh this ridiculous NCAA committee to to reinstate or maybe in state make west virginia west virginia good lord uh west western michigan uh the official winner of that game and then went through why well the big ten is officially announced their response to the response saying the big ten stands by the statement released following the conclusion of the western michigan at michigan game and the determination made by the replay officials we will have no further comment on the matter now i would say that this settles it but we know just because something strike zero doesn't mean it's actually ever over for the big college football is so backwards i don't even know what the process next is to try to reverse a game is it you just go to the NCAA do you go to the judge it usually with like source b we were just finding judges and in what right like in as usually the appeals
process what we find a judge in bowling green my people will take care of you john steinbrecher is that what we need to do we find a judge that is obviously going to be anti michigan there has to be a judge in bowling green that i've gotten absolutely blind stinking drunk with before sure i will i will complete i'll pick up the phone i'll just be like were you in the the falcons marching band in two thousand four that was you a real risk to cut i have pictures of you or i at least have a very telling story of you are saying pre you have to find the pre judges before the judges oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah you think you drink with a lot of judges oh no no no what i mean is at this point you're not old enough for them to be judges yet oh there are a lot of young judges out there there's not that many young judges out there like there should be a show by the way called young judges no just young judge young judge yeah and it's just like everybody hates Chris but it's about a young judge i mean because judges typically are you're just like a lifelong attorneys that then become judges say you know there are like you like you graduate you graduate younger right it's very uncommon that is not that is not a common thing maybe in Chicago sir we're a young judge
community around here now in fairness huh i do know that there are like there are a couple judges I grew up familiar with that were judges for 40 years that's usually the route they became judges when they were like 35 usually usually you just you're an attorney for 30 years and then you beat my sister gave me the lowdown and all this her whole track record in the life is one she wants to tell you this she's attorney and she's gonna eventually i would imagine least kind of like what she's laid out her plan of like eventually when she gets old enough she's gonna be a judge and this is how this is why she's slow played playing a judge is what she says every judge does this is how they this is how they do it they go from being a attorney so there's no short cut for judges so many years and then you run and you got to get elected to be a judge but like there's a whole yeah there's like a there's a whole process it's why you don't have you guys supposed to have 35 year old judges that's supposed to be a thing what do you mean there's not supposed to be you can have a united states president is thirty five you're supposed to be hard earned and and and basically have done everything that's a lot done nothing is hard earned it's like it's like a whole it's almost
like nothing is earned it's almost like a ritualistic process to it all there's like that that's your I think you think every judge is Kathy Bates that's what you're thinking time you put in it matters to all of this yeah and that's why there never be a young judge as long as I'm around that's my Kathy Bates y'all it's just not as common I don't know I don't tell you all right we are gonna have a young judge this but I guarantee you there's someone I went to college with beginning to Google I just it's not a common thing what is what is the not youngest judge this is a good point now the sudden I was gonna say Google it like I might need the break to Google it to get it right congressional research reports show that out of hundreds of active and there were federal district court judges yeah that's not what I'm talking I'm talking tiny fraction I'm talking state court I'm talking this around the judges okay you go to one of my muni judges right a guy that is on he tried like three cases and got thrown out because he got two drunk one time I guarantee that guy and I would to college together again it's just that's a very it's just not a thing we're going to type in municipal judges because that those are my people those are they they handle
could they handle the uh uh what's in Michigan Michigan hand better a lot of all this they better on the time the men's chorus brought back some dirty weed and that's what I'm gonna tell them about I never tried it but many people did including a potential judge yeah I mean everything that I read here it's just I'm back up exactly what I've always known about judges I don't I don't I can't find any kind of this is what I've been telling you this is why I didn't even know that you're trying over there I'm just trying I'm trying to try to tap me not it's funny you give me this like you know you can be under 40 and be a judge you can yeah yeah yeah it's not but it's not not it's not typical at all typical your ass two on six four seven four double-known two any young judges out there that want to call in and set Jonathan straight I think I think your sister's making excuses for why she's not a judge yet which by the way therein lies the answer I don't know that she still wants to be a judge this was many years ago so now she never really wanted to be a judge I don't know I mean I was always what she talked about like she's a yeah I gotta do I gotta
be an attorney for 30 years and then I can become a judge I get elected to be a judge and you go from there that's like that's the process of it all and she's not brought up that recently that that's remited died on the vine do you care do you want to turn the attorney for herself
