There's a lot of things going on and tropics moving in next door in the Google store. I'm really Google building. You have craziness going on around this is a man who's got foxes and deer and squirrel and groundhog and all sorts of the castle is almost imposter. Hi, Odie. 2:05And I'm not exaggerating. I never went in once and sat down with anybody in that room ever. Now with the bar, not that we we're not even drinkers, but at least we go on and hang out and watch TV. Yeah, you do. And it's right off your off or that little TV room where you watch all the football games. No, it was not the family room right off the bar there. No, what is that room? That's what I don't know a sitting room or whatever. I'm sitting with the ass sitting. I don't know. That's where those castle. I do like it though. Yes. But we watch all the football games at the other end of the house. Oh, then I had four TVs there. So I'm I'm rock. I'm locked up and ready to go. Baby, you're rich. I'm not rich. New Jersey rich. Yeah. Yes, you are. You know, the taxes in New Jersey are just what they don't get him started. And he's starving. We'll talk one lick of football. Oh, no, no, no, road. It's unbelievable. It is. I'm going. All right. So I want to ask you a question. You've been out over with the giants. Yes. Is John Harboh has gotten it? Can you can you tell us what impact that you see that

3:11John Harboh has had on the entire organization? Well, it gave the whole organization energy. Everybody's happy man walking around smiling for many reasons. One, John Harboh, that's a big reason why the draft has gone well for him. And I think they just feel really good about what's happened to this team over the last two years or the last two drafts. The giants have changed their football team to me. And you know, the NFL is about boomer and GL, you talk about all this stuff all the time, but it's it's now a league for big people. I mean, so many teams are big. The giants are one of them. I mean, hey, guys, you said about the Ravens all the time, but their roster being the biggest in the game and getting off the bus. And you feel like they're building that here? Absolutely. So one day I'm with the Ravens. I'm down there getting right to the game. I'm in cafeteria. And Ozzie Newsom comes up, come here. He's all excited. I go, damn, did I do something? You know, what are we going to? How are we going? Yeah, what's going on? Ozzie goes, fill, fill. I just signed a tackle. You know, whatever. I said, oh, yeah. And he goes, he's six, eight, three, fifty. Yeah, I'm happy about that. I know he was it was just some believable

4:18that that describes who they were. And I get a little bit of that feeling with the giants. I know. So here's the other part about this whole John Harboh thing. Like we had him on, you know, he did want to play the guys in preseason. Nobody wants to play guys in preseason. And Jackson Dart played a little bit. James played some Odell Beckham played some. Leaked didn't play it all. And rightfully so. But the point being is that are the practices noticeably different from what they were from previous groups. I guess with the exception of Tom Kaufflin. Right. All the way back to Tom Kaufflin before I would say that. In other words, the practices are exactly what you'd want to see is a head coach and owner X player, whatever. It's really high energy. Not a lot of talking going on except the coaches. The players are just in and out. They, it's amazing how busy they keep them for two hours and maybe sometimes two and a half hours on the field. So his, so it's also competitive practice. Oh, big time. I mean, they're hitting right. I mean, they're thudding at least thudding.

5:20Yeah. It's like, you know, it's players are running in in on the field from the sideline coming out in and out. I'm like, what the hell is going on here? You know, I can't even figure it up. Figure it out. But the big thing about that is the energy is real. And I talked to a lot of the players. You know, they hang around. We talk and you know what? None of them complain one time for one word to me about anything or about John Harbour, because he's got them. They know what he's doing. It's the right thing. And you know, I think they've done a really good job of drafting this team right now. And of course, preparation wise, he said this to us too about the injuries and not playing in preseason. He goes, you know, years ago, we'd have four or five guys get hurt and we didn't think about it. Now, if you get one person hurt, it's, it's a disaster, you know. So that's one of the reasons why they keep most teams around the league kept their players starting players out of the, out of the preseason games. Now, not to crap all over Brian Davyle. He's not

6:22here anymore, but one thing that I really did notice when they made the switch and Kafka comes in and Abdul Carter gets disciplined. And then you heard some of the other players around that. It almost sounded like they were yearning for discipline. They were yearning for a little more structure, which struck me as was great to hear. But I was also surprised because you always assume that today's athlete doesn't want that type of thing. But it seems like the giants are reacting really positively to that exact thing that we assume that they don't want, which is more practice, more structure and more discipline. Well, you know, when you lose a lot in the NFL, you want to do something to change it. And you want to change your life, your football team, your job, your money, it's everything. And the thing about it is, like I said, I never hurt not one guy, one player, anybody said anything's a regulatory about John Harball. So when he walks into the room every day, you sit up straight, you know, you got to do it. And here's the man. That's it. Dan Reeves, after two bad years with the giants, we had terrible years. We get the team together.

7:27He walks in, you know, with a beautiful suit, the tie, the hairs, perfect, whatever. He stops, puts his yellow note pad on the lectern, looks at it to us and he goes, sit up straight, put your feet on the floor and take those damn hats off. And, well, it's soon he did it. Bardotes, my center was like as close as you are to me, Geo. And I turned to him. I went, we're going to win. Yeah, just like that. Yeah. Well, I mean, that's a big part of it. You know, we're talking to the great Phil Sims. I took, I'd ask you, Jackson Dart, there's a lot of pressure on him. There's a lot of pressure on this opening game. The Dallas Cowboys come to town. They go one of the best offenses in football. I don't know about the secondary, just yet about the giants, but Jackson Dart is the great home now. And rightfully so, after what we saw last year, do you see significant improvement in his preparation and what he looks like in practice and what you saw in preseason? Man, you know what I say? Yes, all the above he does. He's got a really good

8:27throwing arm. I'm not going to say it's the best arm in the NFL as far as throwing with power and all that stuff, but he's accurate. He makes great, this really good decisions. And the opportunity is there. He's going to run. And for all the giant fans, listen, Jackson Dart is going to run. They're going to have design runs for him. And also when you drop back to pass, if you don't feel good about where you got to throw it, you see a little gap somewhere, you take off. I thought he was great at that last year. And the other thing about him is he doesn't miss routine plays. If the guy's open, he doesn't missing. If it's tight coverage or whatever, somewhere in the field, he puts it in the right spot. And the other thing is to Boomer and Geo, he is absolutely the pie-piper of the team. I mean, the players don't like him. They loving. That's great. I mean, it's really he's and he's just once you're around him a little bit to go, yeah, I get it. Yeah, he just had that look. I remember trying to not compare him to Zach Wilson because they

9:31went to the same high school. We just went through that Zach Wilson experience in the first time. And it wasn't fair to him that I thought that way. It's just that another guy out of Utah. It's going to come here to New York and just get chopped up. He's a Pudgey! Yeah, so that's what happened. He was Pudgey. Yeah, well, we'll leave that one alone. But just look at Adam. He looked more like a man. Then Zach ever did. I mean, maybe it does to this day. So I think that part of him, he could tell he's a leader. But it's almost like, and I'm guilty of this too. When you think of the giants and the issues that they have, it's almost like we put quarterback to the side. Like, oh, it's going to work out. He's going to be fine. Are we assuming too much that Jackson, Dartmouth, sophomore season is going to be great? Because I don't hear anybody. It's worried about him. Are your people worried about secondary interior defense of line wide receivers running? Nobody's worried about Jackson. Darn, we're just assuming he's going to be great. Well, I'll be surprised if he's not really,

10:31really good. Is he going to be great? Is he going to be one of the top five or 10 quarterbacks in a fell? I don't know. Probably not. But, you know, I think all the things that caught me by surprise last year, the biggest one was his running. I would be a training camp. And I, you know, I'll tell these stories all the time. He, he would throw the, the throwing was kind of caught me by surprise. Every day I watched him in training camp his rookie year last year, that he just got better and better. And the running, he'd actually looks faster in the NFL than he did in college. You know, I asked these guys this yesterday. I want to ask you this. Jets giants, okay? Right. So you have Genos Smith on one side. You got Jackson, Darn, or any other. Which team has a better group around their starting quarterback? The Jets or the giants? It's close. I'd say that, you know, the Jets, the Jets got some firepower over there. And Genos going to be a big part of that. I mean, there's no throws on the field that he can't make. And he's got a great arm controls the ball well. He's a big dude, as you know. And, uh, yeah.

11:35You got a running back that can do. Yeah, the number one is the one that we're, yeah. Yeah. And, you know, so yeah, the Jets, they got Genos going to have a chance. The offensive line, it's not great, but it's good. Uh, Genos go have a chance to have some big games, I think, because they're going to get open. Uh, your buddy Frank Reich is going to know when to call certain plays to make sure they get, at least get a chance to get a big play out of it. So I think they're in really good position. And I get like, listen, Geno likes to throw the ball down the field. Frank likes to throw the ball down the field. But Frank also loves a running back like Jonathan Taylor. Like he had in Indianapolis. Right. So I think that's where Bruce Hall fits in and Brown and Alan fits in. That's going to be a nice one to punch for them. So they get back to the question. You think the Jets have the better, see, the Jackson Darts going to make extra plays. Right. He's going to do special things run on the ball. That's not Genos thing. Genos going to be in the pocket. He'll move a little bit and you'll run. We could see that. But, you know, he's older now. He's going to want to be in the pocket. He'll get away from a pass rush here or there. But maybe the

12:39difference between the two teams are the special plays that Jackson Darts may bring for the giants. Yes. I agree with that. I think, you know, the giants with the one spot we got to look at and nobody talks about is the tight ends. They weren't looked upon or tried. They didn't try to get it. I say I like Lee's here now. Yes. So that's a big deal there. And, you know, Patrick record to fullback. I never knew what he, I didn't see him on the field once. This whole wall. We're going to see him on opening night. I guarantee. Yeah. He, I think he weighed in a three oh five. He runs, you know, as I really watched him. I went down to Miami. You know, we watched him scrimmage the Miami dolphins and I'm a, it was hard to judge it because the giants won everything possible that you could win down there against another team. I mean, they were killing the dolphins. I would think that with record. In knowing John Harbaw the way we, oh, I think we know him is that when Dallas comes here on that opening night, it's going to be like

13:40smash mouth like we're going to try to run it down. You throw type of stuff and and cam scataboo is going to be like the lead dog in that in that regard. Yeah, I agree with that. I mean, I get it's about being the bullies. That's what they've been talking about over there. Yeah. That's a cock. You want to be back like when you guys were playing like when you guys were good, like you used to beat the hell out of teams. Well, yeah, we were a big team. And you know, so it's, it's gone back to that, you know, and it's not only that. And I was doing a lot of work yesterday. You just looking at stuff about the giants and you can't, you worry a little bit about the secondary, but every other positions on all the positions on the team, they got backups and not just guys guys. They, you know, it's really close. Who would you play? And the other thing is too. Yeah, the high flying Dallas Cowboys and their passing attack, which is real, the defense of front of the giants has to be kind of the difference in the game. Yeah, they'll try to run it, but they got to find a way to get to the quarterback. I think they have those people there enough talent to get it done. So we'll find out soon. Where's your

14:42reaction to the Darius Slayton release? Wasn't surprised at all. Yeah. I mean, kind of hanging around, you know, and watching practice all the time, which I didn't do it every day, but I did it enough. And, you know, I never heard a good word said about Darius Slayton. Wow. You know, not a good word. You know, not a bad word either. Not a bad word. Just, just, just no words. It's just time. They want to move on. Yeah. And that's just feels like there's not a ton of depth there. There's not. So that's why releasing a guy who you know can play was a little bit surprising, but I'm not saying that this guy did much in his career as a giant. He certainly certainly didn't. And there were some big drops on his resume, but I just, I guess they really, really trust who else is on the roster. And, and Mooney maybe is someone in Malachi fields or two guys that they really, really trust, which it sounded like John Harbohy. I asked John Harboh about Malachi fields. I'm like, all right, so is my eyes lying to me or is this guy a really good player or going to be a good player? Listen, he never disappointed in a practice. You know, I've watched him and I go, well,

15:47that was really good. Oh, that was really good. And you know, what I think really hit me and just, I give up was when they went down and scrimmaged Miami one on ones, you know, the old seven on seven, then team. Hell, he was great in all of them. Did he look, did he look big to you? I could, no, he is big. I am. So what, you know, like sometimes we talk about wide receivers, we say, well, you know, that guy six one, but he really doesn't look like six one doesn't play six one, plays like five, eleven. No, he plays big. He this kid plays big. That's why they drafted him. Yeah. You know, that's why they moved up. They get a big receiver. They got him. It'll be interesting to see what they do. Well, he play slot, you know, the slot receiver a little bit just because of his sizing, go inside and catch. But the other thing is to remember, the Darius Slayton, I'm sure the judgment, I don't know this. I'm just saying it. When they looked at it, they go, we want to keep these tight ends. We don't want to give one of them up. So what are we going to do? And so that's why you go right to Darius Slayton. And, you know, I didn't hear really any good words about him during training camp. He was out there. He was

It's a good one if you're a jet fan. Breeze would fall into that category of he's trending. The first category. Yeah. He's trending towards plan. He'll be practicing this week. Yeah. Yeah. He'll be practicing this week. That is certainly good news for our jet fans. Last hour we had the media asking Aaron Glenn what a successful season will look like. This hour it's Garrett Wilson who has asked that question. Nothing else. Nothing else. I mean, what is supposed to say? I four wins. Yeah, I know. I mean, I just put you know what's going to happen. These guys are just writing this down and when they don't make the playoffs. Also, it's not a successful season. You said a successful season was the playoffs. Does that mean your coach should be fired? I guess you just don't say anything.

So, you know, what is that barometer in which Woody Johnson looks at this thing and says, I'm going to keep this guy as my head coach. I don't think anybody really knows that question. I didn't answer that question. Phil and I both know rookie offensive coordinator with a retread quarterback. It's not a good combination for a new head coach coming in for his first year. No, not at all because one that rookie guy, rookie coach has to come and establish himself and that's hard to do. You know, so how about the rookie offensive coordinator with a retread quarterback? Yeah, that's even worse. Yeah, that is not good for a defensive head coach.

24:01Meantime Garrett Wilson, who went to Ohio State, was asked his thoughts of the way Michigan beat Western Michigan over the weekend with the review and the extra second being put back on the clock. Don't surprise me. Them getting a nod. Some BS. And then he said he couldn't believe that they were all big 10 revs. But then again, that's the way it goes. And so I'm glad I'm glad that the Mac commissioner actually finally put out a statement saying, you know, we are wanting this to be overturned because the protocol wasn't followed properly. And you know what and you know what the impetus that all of this was was all the social media and all the people out there talking about like the Mike Perreras of the world talking about protocol and how things are supposed to be done under replay rules and how they were not followed in this case. And because the Mac initially came out and said, you know, we understand we were told and we understand the rules now. But then a day later, after all of social media was out there just ripping the crap out of the big 10
