And I know it's it's tough to these are two relatively what one is a new regime with the giants obviously, but this is the second year of of Muji and Glenn and there's a lot of things that I like what both teams are doing and I don't feel like it's me getting lulled into that false sense of security with these organizations. I actually think that at all of these moves have been beneficial ones from both general managers up until or head coaches up until this point Darren Muji has set themselves up

1:06in a great spot. The hardest thing is to come though, which is picking the right players, but with the one year deals with the accumulation of draft picks with the cap space that they have. I mean, and I know that they're going to try to win this year and they try to get to six or seven wins, but their future and what they have is Darren Muji did a great job turning this thing around. I think in the last week they picked up three more draft picks, two compensatory picks and then another one for Justin Fields, right? And then I mean turning it around is turning around the situation where you know, you got more picks, you got more cap space, you tearing it down and now you're ready to build it back up. You know, you just kind of poured the foundation, if you're looking for more horrible analogies, but you sort of poured the foundation and hoping that the next couple of moves you start building upward again. But I mean, this could be another horrendous year. It's either going to be a team that wins, you know, maybe seven games and this regime comes back or a team that bottoms out again, you know, we two or three wins and then everybody

2:09gets wiped out and then they start over with what would be a, you know, at that point, they might be an attractive job because of all the picks and who knows who they select this year. And by the way, you know, like I was saying yesterday, Jerry, that Pete Carroll came out and said, you know, he blamed himself for Gio's, uh, uh, Gino's decline last year with the Raiders and they hired Chip Kelly, they fired Chip Kelly in the middle of the season. It was not a good fit. There weren't a lot of good players around him. I think they'll, the one thing he will know and I've told you this about Frank, they'll be more buttoned up, they'll be more organized, they'll be better communication. So the quarterback will benefit from that plus, you know, they've added, you know, a number of veterans on this team. And I think the reason that they're doing that is they're trying to get as competitive as they possibly can within the building itself, first and foremost, and then have the right leadership on the field when you're practicing, when you're preparing, when you're watching tape, you want to make sure that you have guys like to make up to Patrick, Mario Davis,

3:10you want to have like a veteran quarterback that we were talking about a presence at, uh, a quarterback that has pretty much seen everything. And that is Gino and he's back here for his third time. He's been with the Jets, he's been with the Giants, he's back here now. He's going to have an opportunity to start this year. I'm sure there's going to be some incentives in this contract. But the Jets are removing a mistake they made last year, barely paying Gino that, that much money. And they're going to have to sign another veteran. There's going to be another veteran in the mix here, not the compete for the starting job, but would be told that, look, you're going to be the back up and they're probably going to draft somebody. I don't know if they keep Brady Cook. I'm not sure if they think that he has anything, uh, of substance to move forward with, you know, that would be up for Frank and Darren Moogie to decide whether or not that's going to be workable. But I do think that there has to be yet another veteran that's going to be added to this. Now, I said yesterday, and I'll say it again today, uh, would I be surprised? If it's Carson once, I would not.

4:10And you know, I know that's not going to excite people, but by the way, if this is not about exciting people anymore at the quarterback position until they draft one very high. Right. Now if they draft, let's say Ty Simpson and they draft, they, you know, with one of their first round picks or they trade back into the first round to go get him, then maybe you have your future quarterback. If in fact, they feel like he can be that guy. If not, then you're going to be waiting until next year or later in this draft for a Carson back or somebody like that, that you can bring in and hopefully develop. And then next year with all those draft picks and with all that money that they're going to be, uh, that they're going to be able to spend in free ages. I mean, like, this is where Darren Moogie's, when it me over, he has cleaning this whole cap thing up, you know, and next year with all these one year contracts, they're going to have such a clean slate. As we sit here, this time next year, is this coaching staff still here? I think the GM's going to be here, depending on how he does in this year's draft, he did

5:12well last year. And I think most people like the free agents that they've signed, but he's got all this draft capital. Now let's see how he uses it. Let's see what he does to fortify this team and put it on what you'd hope is going to be a bright future with younger players. We always talk about shots on goal with the quarterbacks and drafting quarterbacks and the jets are in the perfect position to do that. I mean, they could draft someone out of the first round this year and then still be in a great position to draft a quarterback next year if they don't believe that the guy that they drafted this year is going to be someone that's going to be in their future. So I mean, that's what's great about having so many picks and so many high picks is, you know, you could afford the opportunity to bring in a quarterback that maybe you don't feel 100% about, you know, in the second, third, fourth round, just to give it a shot because you know, next year you got two first round picks, you know, and then going flip into the Giants real quickly, just thinking about what they're doing. First of all, like I said, it starts with the coach. So the coach brings instant credibility. There's going to be competition on the practice field in the meeting rooms.

6:14There's going to be a feel like they are going to be competitive immediately out of the gate. And I know they're going to have a tough schedule like they did last year. The quarterbacks could be a lot better. They are going to add, they've added fullback to the offense, which I love, especially in the Northeast. I love the eye formation. I know that it's a little bit antiquated, but you know, there are a lot of teams that still use it. And a lot of those teams, you know, like San Francisco are still very successful offenses. When you have that guy that's multi-dimensional back there, you know, Patrick Cork record is one of those guys. And so is Cam Skatebo. Yeah. I mean, they're going to have some bruisers in that backfield. And I just, it just makes your team tougher. It makes who you are more difficult to defend. And you know, that's exactly what the Seattle Seahawks were with Kenneth Walker, the third in Charbonne. Is there two running backs? Charbonne obviously got hurt towards the end of the year. And then Kenneth Walker took over. And you know, I just think it's, I think it's the perfect situation.

7:14And I also think it's the perfect situation for Patrick Behalms now to have Kenneth Walker in the backfield. Yeah. I mean, that was, there was a shrewd move. It was something that made lots of sense where Jeremiah love goes on the draft now. It's even more interesting with the chiefs going to Kenneth Walker. So yeah, that, that's going to be the, the storyline outside because you think somebody has like, has already decided that they got to have Jeremiah love. Do you think there's a team out there that's, that sees him as such a camp, Miss player, much like Getham and Saw, a sick one, Barclay. And I'm not so like, like with sick one doing what he didn't fill it off, you know, I mean, it kind of validates some of the things that Dave Getham and was saying about him. Yeah. They were bringing sick one in to try to save the last couple of years of Eli's career. That's what that was all about. And it just didn't work. He was done Eli and, you know, we know the rest is history. So it really has to be, that's why they drafted a, a running back second overalls because

8:15they thought that they weren't far away from winning. So if, you know, it's certainly not going to be the jets. We know Mendoza is going one. What team is ready to use a, this kid is basically a levy on bell reincarnated in a sense that he can do everything on the football field. Yeah. Like he can, you know, remember, remember the whole argument in Pittsburgh with levy on Bell and Antonio Brown, who was more important in Antonio got paid more because he was a wide receiver, but who touched the ball more? Yeah. I think he had like 85 catches and 480 touches or something one year. Yeah. Kuiper. I know you love Mel Kuiper. His latest Machdrat has, Jeremiah love going to the Titans at four. That would make sense with all the money that they have spent. Yeah.

9:15Didn't they just redo Calvin Ridley's deal too? Yeah. I saved them like 11 million dollars in a cap with that. Yeah. Yeah. The other thing I was reading about were the Chicago Bears and how they really haven't done much in free agency like they did last year. And one of the reasons for that is, you know, our buddy Adam Schaefter put out there that the bears are broke. So what do I, I interpret that. Okay. How do I interpret their broke? They're broke because they spent so much money last year and they're at the cap point or they broke where they can't redo some of these contracts and pay people up front. How could that be possible? How could that be possible? That's second part of it. I don't know how to interpret his words of them being broke. Well, what's their cap situation when you look at it? Well, but you can redo contracts. You can give signing bonuses. You can give yourself some cap relief. That's why the system is built the way it is.

10:15And a lot of teams do like, you know, the jets have $91 million in dead cap money, right? Let's see. Yeah. I mean, they are right up against it. I'm positive they're going to have to pay a couple of their young players, including killed Williams, not this year, but next year. So they, yeah, available cap space is 30 second in the league. The bears. They broke because they're there or they broke because they're not redoing a few contracts and readjusting some of these contracts. It's got to be broke because they don't have any money to spend, but they can create space if they haven't done it. Okay. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, how would a NFL team could not have enough money to operate in 2026 with especially coming off the season that they had? Yeah, but you're not, you're not Bob Cravd, you're not Jerry Jones, you're not David Tepper who have, you know, billions and billions and billions and other areas where you could

11:19just, you know, use the football team as a, you know, kind of a fun thing to have it be a part of. Yeah. And you could spend your other money, you know, by making sure guys are getting their money up front and extending their contracts and then then spending more money on free agency. The bears don't have any more money right now. They're broke. They're out of money. I know people love all this coming up with concoctions and imaginations and scenarios where a team like the bears can come up with a player like Max Crosby, so it'd be a party poover. The bears don't have the type of money to make a move like that right now. They just can't afford it. Yeah, but that's out of shifter. Yeah, I, yeah, that's what I'm saying. So can't afford it because of the salary cap or can't afford it because they don't want to adjust the number of their players contracts and give them signing bonuses. So some Chicago media member said, so there's an uproar after Adam Schefter said the bears are broke, relaxed after making calls. Here's the scoop. That was in reference to the salary cap situation. They have whatever they need financially if polls wants to make a move.

12:21So they could, yeah, but they're just choosing not to at this moment as we sit here right now. Yeah, the Crosby, I mean, you were off when that went down. I couldn't believe that was just after all the crying and the goodbye and the whole thing with the raiders and get that thing nixed. Little Mark Davis letterhead that went out there too. Right. So who do you think is going to trade for him now? I don't know. The Cowboys? That's what they signed Trey Hendrickson, right? No, the Ravens. Oh, the Ravens. That's right. Cowboys, maybe. Yeah. I mean, Jerry Jones said if they could have played a lick of defense, they could have made a run in the playoffs. I mean, if you know, now when you see this, you fail, he fails a physical and, you know, so who this is the really interesting part about this? Who screwed who here? Did the Ravens or did the raiders know that when they traded him, he was going to fail

13:27the physical and they were going to get him back probably or do you think the Ravens saw that they gave up two first round draft picks and everybody's freaking out in Baltimore because they didn't think that he was worth that. And was there pressure on the Ravens to fail the physical so they would get those draft picks back? No, I don't think either team wanted this with the way that they operated afterwards. I mean, think about it. How much money the raiders spent after they made the Max Crosby deal? They did. But they did spend a lot of money. And now they thought that that contract was coming off of their salary. Now, now that you got to believe he's going to be traded, but the question is to who and for what? Yeah, I'm surprised that over the weekend something didn't go down. Maybe the jets were to it. Huh, they have plenty of assets and you might be getting a guy that's a little bit banged up, but he's good, they say, you know, because he's a maniac in the waiting room, a complete maniac in the waiting room. And he would be a guy that you know, you'd believe in that he would come back from this.

14:33Yeah. I mean, he is a like a attitude changer, but now the raiders are not going to get to first round picks form. That's the thing. It basically screws the raiders. It does. I mean, yes, it will screw the Ravens too in the sense that they thought they were getting this healthy player and it was going to be a monster ed rusher for them and they ended up signing Trey Hendrix in. It was a little bit older and not quite as good, but still a very, very good player. So you'll remember I was telling you that the raiders had jumped the jets when it came to draft power rankings in terms of their draft numbers and picking up those two first round picks. One of them being this year was a big part of that. Well, the jets now have jumped over the raiders with the compensatory selections. Yeah, it looks like it. Yeah. A lot of picks. 16:37By the way, you see Carlin ran out of gas on Iowa. Yeah. What the hell? I don't know. I saw that on Sun X. That was funny. Yeah. No, I don't remember that call. Yeah. I was fully saved, but it does involve a cervix. What was Carlin doing in Iowa? Calling some game. Yeah. I do in games for, I think the big 12 championship game on ESPN Radio, I believe. And I guess they're flight got canceled, whether issues, playing issues. So him and Courtney Cronin, who I guess does games with him, they got rented a card and drive to Chicago to go catch a flight because their flights were canceled. Wow. And he caught me. Courtney Cronin, huh? She probably had a great time. Let's stop at the Wednesdays. No, he stopped on the side of the road looking at one of the windmills in the middle of Iowa, just like you would think. And they were stuck on the side of the road. I don't know. 17:38I mean, I haven't heard about somebody running out of gas since I was in high school. Or like some idiot would try to get to school and we didn't have any money. And it was like, I thought I could make it, you know, running out of gas. You know, it's become more normal. This is weird, but I see that as a battery charge. Well, that's different. Yeah. 20:51players. There's nothing like it. And so if you then take a poll around the station, if you will, or if you listen to the radio station, we heard Tommy Lugauer in the overnight. He was not, I'm the reason why I'm playing this. He was not pleased with the comments that Judge made. This was on his show the other night post gaming, it was Sunday night. Why wouldn't you just see the crowds here? He's promoting the whole thing by putting down the world series. So now we're putting the WBC over the world series. That's what we're putting over. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. In baseball. It's going to put this stupid, freaking thing over the world series. Then get rid of it. Okay, Farron, if you get his take, then there's Seamack in the afternoon with Craig. I don't like when we talk about this, that we have to throw the world series in there for context. Just say you love this. Okay. Just say the atmosphere is incredible. Stop trying to make it that it's in some part better or on the same level. It's not, it's just not. So that's those two opinions.

21:53Well, Tiki has an opinion of his own for guys like Tommy and Seamack. Tommy and Yankee fans and some baseball fans are taking it personally. Judd said that. Yeah, get a life chill out. It's really get a life. Honestly, if that if that makes you mad, you really have nothing else in your life to worry about. So they're now. Did you notice when fire Tommy down? Yes. Did you notice Evan in the middle there? Yeah. Right. And he's essentially like laughing at himself because like Tiki's like, if you care about things like this, you know, you're the biggest loser on earth. Get a life. He's like, yeah, I don't go to spring training and score spring training games and that is pretty. What I heard in that old thing is two guys that are just have had it. And maybe like the warmer weather will change their pick.

22:55But Tommy's already had it with the overnight tonight and Tiki has had it with the sports fan dweeb. That's what I heard. Yeah, I know. Well, that's why he's just like, you know, it's like he can deal with it with Evan when he starts hearing other sports fan dweeb's and then it just overflows his cup. Oh, yeah, yeah. I try to have a guy struggling in spring training and then come out spring training and do well as opposed to a guy that's tearing it up in spring training and then starts to get, starts the season like, you know, one for 25. Talking about the team and he says, and you'll, you'll obviously see and hear the noise around him. So it's happy with free agency and what's ahead for them. What we've done on defense and that was what we have set up for the draft, plus what we really have coming back from our veteran defensive players that really didn't play that much last year, injury issues, things like that gives us a lot of promise. That was fun with the sound of the background, with the cars racing around. He says we're close to being really good. And I'll tell you, when you have the challenges we had last year, there's no place to go but up on the defensive side of the ball. And had we played a lick of defense last year, we had ourselves, and I think of real

27:02playoff run. Yeah. He wasn't actually the Grand Prix. He was just standing in the middle of a Dallas highway. He was not. He decided to have the press conference right there. So yeah, that was, that was interesting. And I do agree if they had any defense, they would have been a better team, but they didn't and they weren't. The Jets traded Justin Fields to the Chiefs for a six round draft pick. Christian Kirk looks like he is signing with the 49ers. You've got the first four beginning tonight, W W UMBC playing Howard. And then it'll be Texas and NC state all four of the local teams will be playing Friday, St. John's, Yukon, L.I.U. and Hofstra. Did you see how Rutgers is going to play in the crown in Vegas? Great. You're just telling you, I'm not sure yet. I don't know. What do you mean? What do you mean? You're the announcer. You're the voice of Rutgers. I want things, these details have to be worked out. 28:04How many guys on the Rutgers team this year will come back next year? Don't know. I have no idea. The portal opens April 7th, I believe. So I don't know. We'll find out. But yes, the next tonight, they've got a game. They play the Pacers and you've got Jalen Brunson, right ankle injury management and a cervical strain, which goes back to what we were talking about on his right side. So he's questionable for this game. Blizzard's beat that it's 114-95, Kings over the Rangers 4-1. It was a very honest assessment of the game from Adam Fox. It's like Baylor was in some of the worst hockey, I think, of our season and one shot, two shots, no shots. But yeah, we just flopped at the puck and they were playing good going into this. They were playing great and too many penalties. The one thing I would just say, they were having so much success and I think they did get a power play goal last night, but they've had so much success in the power play with Gabe Perot in the lineup when JT Miller was not healthy, doing a great job at the back.

29:09I agree. Doing a great job at that. But Perot is not long on the number one power play and I'm like, why would you mess up a good thing? I guess because your captain's coming back and he has to play. I don't know. You know, JT Miller made his or got his gold medal because of what he did on defense, not what he did on offense. He and Vincent Trocheck were awesome in the Olympics playing on the penalty kill. I don't know. I don't know. I want to see more young guys playing, give him more chances, more opportunities. And I think it was like charted pretty high. I mean, there's certain things that are just mundane things that music is a big trigger. Yeah. And I'm not just saying this because of today, but also smells is another trigger like you walk outside. I'm like, he stinks smells is another trigger like that summer day. I am shocked at how taking a couple of gel caps of garlic. I took one gel cap. One gel cap. One gel cap of garlic could make that smell come out of a human being.
