Max Crosby going back to Las Vegas. And the Ravens didn't take long. They went out and got tray Hendrix in from the Bengals. And it's a four year deal worth 112 million dollars. If you're Joe Burrow, you're probably thinking Max Crosby going back to the Raiders. That all of a sudden it's your former teammate, tray Hendrickson. He'll be in the division. You get to see him twice.

3:01You get to see Miles Garrett twice and TJ Watt twice. But that big deal with tray Hendrickson. And we speculated on where he might go. If you're the Raiders though, you've already look at your free agency plan. Was operating as if Max Crosby was off the books. You know, you had to absorb Geno Smith's salary. You went out and spent a lot of money on your center, Tyler Lindenbaum. Linderbaum, a quay walker, Nicobie Dean. So you're spending money. And other teams were affected because the cowboys were looking at Max Crosby. They turned to Rashan Gary. And then Cincinnati with tray Hendrickson and his negotiating leverage. Probably skyrocketed when Max Crosby was sent back to Vegas. But this Max Crosby deal devastating, I think, for the Raiders. Because as great as he is, they don't want him back. Because they don't want to spend that kind of money because they're not ready to win.

4:01And you could send him and get two first round picks. The Raven said, you know what? We were concerned about the long term durability. I don't know what long term is in the NFL. I'm assuming long term means like two years. What are we going to go with an hour? Who? We've got up there right now. More surprising. The Crosby trade being called off. BAM dropping 83 or Italy beating the United States of America in baseball. Okay. So I would say BAM getting 83. BAM getting 83 has 42% of the vote. And then it's a tie for second between the Crosby trade and Italy beating the US. All right. I would probably put Team USA losing to Italy way down on the list. Max Crosby, that trade. That shocked me. I think that shocked a lot of people. But yesterday, the whole idea of Italy beating the United States was a punchline. Like, we were laughing about it. About the idea of Italy actually. What?

6:02They even have a team who knew that they even had a team. I'm shocked that people are not surprised at that. Yeah, but they got a lot of players who play in the major leagues. So, I mean, they got a chance. So far, the only thing that the Italian team had really been known for is having an espresso machine in their dugout. Other than that, it was just like, ah, yeah. So anyway, USA, Japan, we all know how this is going. Well, maybe after the fact, I'm not surprised. After watching them play last night, then I'm not surprised. But yesterday, I would have been surprised. Yes. I'm a journalist here, all right? Got it. Yes. Pull question for Howard. Who is going to be what? Pull question for Howard. Whom? Well, actually, you know, we just got our one up there. So we're going to let that breathe for a minute. We also have two here from Todd. The Ravens did the raiders dirty or the right thing?

7:04Well, I'm going to say both. Because if they realized that there was some kind of structural damage that would concern them, and you can rescind the trade, you can send them back. And you could still keep your two first round picks this year next year. They did the right thing. Now, ethically, though it sounds strange to say that with the NFL. But ethically, with teams and how you deal with one another, I'm assuming that, you know, he's not, he doesn't have a healthy me. At that position, the way he plays coming off surgery, I just don't know. You can say, hey, we're concerned about long term durability. And then all of a sudden, you're done. I don't know if it was buyer, buyer remorse. You know, could have been that. It's like when you buy a house, and then all of a sudden, you go, oh my God, did we overspend? And then you get the inspection, and then you say to the person inspecting,

8:05could you please find something? So we get out of this? Yeah, Paulie. I think it's irony. Trey Hendrickson missed a good chunk of the season. I think ten games with a hip and core muscle injury. Max Crosby was injured, wanted to keep playing, and his team shut him down when he wanted to keep playing. The Ravens aren't concerned about Trey Hendrickson's long term durability, apparently. They'll waive the medical. Yes. So Trey has a hard time walking after four years. The Ravens won't be as concerned, but they will be concerned about Max Crosby. All right. 8773DP show. So for decades, Maris's record had an asterisk after it. Anyway, I'd love to hear with you and again I'd have to say about that. Thank you very much. I love the show. Thank you, Alfred. 10:07And on top of that. Look at BAM out of that stat line. 23 shot. And then 3.7 for 22. And then the three point line. 36 for 45. 43 free throw attempts. Now, I remember you, or I don't remember. But when you played in high school, I remember getting the free throw line one to any time. And I started feeling embarrassed, I guess. It was ridiculous. I never felt embarrassed to go to the free throw line. And yeah, it's a lot of shots. It's a lot of free throws. Seven for 22 from three point range. Yeah, pulling. I'm looking at the box score of Wizards heat, which I would never have done ever in my life. And the amount of players who you would know from both of these rosters is shocking. That there's no will Riley. Tray Johnson. Anthony Gill. Myron Gardiner. Pellie Larson. I mean, they are just nobody's. Yeah.

11:07Jeez. Yeah. Where's the star power? Did Tray Young play? No. He watched this one. Because he would have answered with 70. Oh, you would have. Yeah, that's too bad. Yeah. Yeah. He had a couple of fouls to give. John and Illinois. Hi, John. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. Six, three. Two, sixty-five. Good one to say, you're great and you're staying in your lane when it comes to this topic. Because I think scoring 83 is scoring 83. However you do it, you get it. And I'm a huge Kobe Bryant fan. And it hurts. But he's always going to be remembered as a great. Bam, we'll probably just be remembered as a second place person. You know, Bam has had a pretty good career. Went to the NBA finals twice. It's a good career, four time, all defensive player. It's just weird where you go. Man, he's a great defensive player.

12:07And he scored the second most points in the history of the NBA. Cody and Texas. Hi, Cody. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. You know, I think Bam, you know, it's a great accomplishment. But you know, look at two separate things. You know, whether it's Kobe's 81 or Kobe's 81 or Bam's 83. You know, it's a different conversation than what's the most impressive. You know, to me, the most impressive of all time was LeBron's Game 5, back in 2007 against Detroit. Detroit was easily the best defensive team, you know, arguably with the spurs that year. But you know, from three minutes until the fourth quarter in the game to double overtime, he scored 25 straight points in one that game. That is easily more, you know, impressive than Kobe's 81 or even Bam's 83. Yeah, it's hard to compare. What did Isaiah do on a bad ankle against the Lakers in the NBA finals? Did he score like 20, 23 points?

13:07I think in a quarter, he scored 23. Yeah, I've had 43 in the game. Yeah, yeah. That was pretty impressive on a bad ankle against the Lakers in Los Angeles. But there's been so many great performances. And yes, you know, LeBron with what he did, I can look what Michael Jordan did against the Celtics in the Boston Garden. I mean, he lost the game. But that's where everybody in the NBA, especially Larry Bird realized there's a new sheriff in town. In fact, I think Larry even said that. So when you're talking about historical performances, that was a change, literally changing of the guard. It went from its magic, Larry, Larry magic. No, it's Mike's and Mike never look back. So if you look at historical performances, that's when Mike and the Bulls put the Celtics in everybody in the NBA on notice. This is, this is just numbers. This is math. That was something that was actually tangible. You saw something that changed the NBA that day.

14:10Yeah, Marvin. And it's the perfect time to do it because there's no NFL season. So if he did this in early November, I'm not even sure if we, it would have been a mention. No, we would know it would be mentioned. If he put up 83. No, you said, I said mentioned, but it wouldn't be like a full segment. Yes, it would. It's 83 points. I would have worked in the rundown. Heat wizards. It's still 83. You're right. It's still real to me, dammit. You're right. But just this time of year. Oh my gosh. Here is BAM out of bio on when he realized he was having a special night. Probably when I had 45 at the half. Obviously, my team makes this very geek that halftime. So for me, it was just remaining calm and remaining locked in. And understanding, like, I can go for some special now. I didn't think it was going to be 83. But it's surreal because, like I said, man, to be able to do it at home.

15:10In front of my mom, in front of my people, in front of the home fans. This is a marking history that will forever be remembered. Yeah. He had so many points. He forgot how many points he had at halftime. He gave himself 45 at halftime. I think he had 43. Yeah, pulling. This is not a direct comparison. But back in the late 80s, John Stockton had the record with 27 assists in an NBA game. That was the all-time record at the time. A year later, it got passed by Scott Skiles. A guy not in danger of going to the Hall of Fame. It's a little apples and oranges, but it's a little the same. He passed Stockton. And Stockton probably loved that record. I don't think Stockton cared about anything. He had actually Stockton had the top three games for assists all time. And Scott Skiles passed him a year later. Yeah. Yeah. Scott Skiles just celebrated a birthday here a couple of days ago. Gritty Gutty, Scottie Scott. You loved him.

16:10You loved him. I liked him at Michigan State. He had a socks pulled up all the way to his knees. He was never fast enough, quick enough. He wasn't anything other than he was just gritty and gutty. He's a nun time all-star, but he has the all-time assist record for a game. That's cool. I got Marvin's holding his head when I say, you know, Gritty Gutty's probably first one in, last one to leave. Gosh, probably son of a coach. NBA players, Gritty and Gutty, I'm sorry. This has to just be a little bit of talent. Gosh. It kills me, especially when it's like white point guards. Oh, yeah. Super athletes. Oh, my God. T.J. McConnell. He's Gritty and Gutty. He won the Arizona. He did something before Donald's All-American. Hey. Peyton Pritchard. Scorn. Gritty and Gutty. What? Yeah. Gritty and Gutty. Oh, my goodness. Was Mark Jackson, Gritty and Gutty? Just Gritty. Yeah, he couldn't get the other half of it. He wasn't gutty?

17:10No. If he was white, he would have been Gritty and Gutty. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's true. You can't be black and be Gritty and Gutty. That's true. Like, oh, it's just natural ability. He's just... Natural. Is there a black player who's Gritty and Gutty, Martin? Ooh. Rondo? You know what? I don't think it's for point guards. You got to be like a power four. 18:10Yep. Yes, Satan. Did we mention Makasmop? Whoa. Good call. That is a Gritty Gutty player right there. I like it. You know who I think doesn't get enough credit for being Gritty and Gutty too? Aside from Makasmop? Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler is a Gritty Gutty player. Might be too talented to be Gritty Gutty. Early Bulls Gritty Gutty. He might want to be Gritty Gutty. I think he is Gritty and Gutty. I agree with Paulie, maybe early Bulls Gritty and Gutty. And all of a sudden it's like, man, he's really good. 19:10Well, I don't know. Maybe he regressed and kind of morphed into a Gritty Gutty guy. Are we saying lottery picks don't do the dirty work? Generally. But I don't want you to be Gritty and Gutty as the seventh pick. Yeah, Paulie. The actress's name from White Lotus. Amy Lou Wood. Yeah. And her teeth, yeah. I think that's the only thing that you should have to worry about, Daniel. Lovely flannel this morning, by the way, there in Maine, 80 degrees here in South Florida with my BAM T-shirt on. I think the thing that we have to do, and I'm not sure if you're willing to do this at the stage in life, Dan. We have to step back sometimes. Remember, we cover sports. It's just sports. It's fun. It was funky. It was weird. It was cool. And then we move on. We won another game, so the Miami Heat of 1, 6 in a row, moved out of the play in spot.

26:28That's all that really matters. The main thing is the main thing. It's winning. But for BAM, I think it's going to be one of the most memorable things in his life, because he grew up in a single-wide trailer with a single mother in North Carolina dreaming about Kobe Bryant and had a really cool moment. He's a guy who has done everything right, who doesn't really focus on scoring, who made his craft in this league as a defender and rebounder, who took the mantle from Alonzo Morning, Dwayne Wade, and Utanas Haslam as a culture carrier for this organization. And has been to the finals twice and hasn't been able to stay at the mountaintop just yet in those areas. And then also takes on the responsibility of being the lead force in the community for organization. That part of it all feels good. This is one of the first, let's put air quote, great heat players, who I have been able, so I'm making about me now there, who have been able to see from draft night to all the

27:32way through it. When I arrived here in 2004, Dwayne Wade was already a player. LeBron James came to Miami, already was a player. And so this is, it's just fun for the fan base, anything outside of that. It just kind of filters into this hater mode. We didn't have social media in 2006, when Kobe went for 81. So I'm not sure the response probably would have had its level of, and it as well. There's literally no video. We have a sheet of paper with a lot of laundry on it for Will, I'm sure old Nick's fans are still trying to wonder what happened to them that night. Let me just say this. If I go to my good friend Chris Miller, go to my good friend Chris Miller for a moment, I will fill a buster, sir, I will say this. What were you pressing full court and triple teaming the man for it in the second half of the fourth quarter? It created, it created what probably you're not loving as the basketball purist that I know is the proud son of Mason Ohio is presenting right now.

28:36When I keep telling everybody, it's still 83, okay? But still at the end of the day, 10 years, 20 years, and still 83, I did think about this. How do you think Kobe, if he were still with us, would have viewed that performance last night? The way there was intentionally fouling, keeping him in the game, the games out of reach, how do you think Kobe would have viewed that performance? Kobe had a level of rancor that would have possibly a finger wagged it, but I think Kobe would have liked bam and bam's game overall from a night in night out basis. So there might have been a little love there. The gold medal club from Team USA, you never know how those things go. As I've gotten older, Dan, I will turn 53 years as winter turns to spring, I've decided that I am in search of joy all of the time, all of the time. So when you're calling a game like this, obviously you can't anticipate on a Tuesday night

29:39against the Wizards. That's something unique and special is going to occur. So I say thank you, Idris, bam out of bio, and by the way, bam hates when you use his gift name, but I don't get to say it it up, so I thought I'd throw it out for you. Okay. Did you talk to Spulster about his philosophy down the stretch when he realized that he had a chance to surpass Kobe? I am on the set live at about 200 yards away when that happens, Dan, but it was asked of him, and it was aired on Heat Live last night. And I think he gave the most beautiful answer in the sense that for that guy, for when he's meant for nearly a decade to the head coach and to the franchise, for those that don't watch Miami, he basketball every single night, you're not going to connect with this fiber, right? This is about a guy that took the torch from a guy who played for 20 years in Udana's and the best player in history and Dwayne Wade and put the entire organization and what it means and the heat culture that makes everybody roll their eyes and all of that on his shoulders.

30:45He went to Kentucky just like the president of the organization Pat Riley, like all of it and does a beautiful job with it is own way. You know, he's not necessarily a big in your face, Ra Ra Barker, but the way that he goes about his craft as a role class defender, a outstanding, if not elite rebounder, and a guy who's developed, you've watched it overnight in seasons, developed his game into the modern big man, got to go out and knock it down from 23 feet dynamic. Man, when he came out of Kentucky, there was no way I would have thought that would be a three point shooter, but has become super serviceable and does whatever is asked of him. I think this is the thing that's most warming about it. He thinks about scoring least. From the dribble handoff to the actual assist, he's setting up other guys offensively to score. And so it's just, I'm leaving it as what I assume is a one off, like I was, the first quarter was fantastic. That was real basketball. That was just him lighting guys up and then when he got to halftime and already had his

31:48career high plus, it was wild to where it could go.
