The meeting was held in person last September in Detroit, but it was decided to do it online instead this year. Easier for everyone involved. Who would be representing the Red Wings in the Zoom call? Wrote the story. Cody Stabenhagen had it in the athletic first, I believe. I believe that is correct. So, the portal last month, the Greenberg was a candidate to switch sports. That move was believed because Greenberg has some hockey experience after getting some work in baseball for the pirates. And Greenberg not only did he play in high school, he played in college and played, worked a little bit professionally in hockey, but got some work in baseball. The pirates died in backs and cubs got the job as assistant GM with the black hawks in 2022. Later it says it's unknown how much Greenberg gave, how much thought Greenberg gave

3:26to switching back to hockey again per Evan Woodbury. Greenberg says he and Myers are ready. I'm going to be honored to be considered for the job, but it's committed to the Tigers. What do you make of this? Well, I think he decided he wanted to stay where he was. And I think he was being considered. And probably thought, you know what, I'm better at baseball than I am at hockey. Either that or at least, you know, the Tigers have a chance. The Red Wings, it's going to take a while. Stoney, maybe he's just like the Tigers, he couldn't hold on to the lead. Yeah, possibly, possibly correct. From a hockey perspective, I'm not doubting Jeff Greenberg's hockey acumen at all. I'm thrilled with this. I didn't want this to happen. It just would make them the laughing stock of the NHL if they're not already. I mean, we are nine days away from training camp. You know, I am one whose glass is typically half full.

4:28Correct. And I don't mind admitting that. If they had gone this route, okay, it would have been certainly out of the box and maybe brought on by sheer lack of other quality candidates. But somebody was the first organization to hire an agent to become a GM, Pierre Laquois in Colorado. Yep. And there have been a number since that have had success. Yes. And there's a few in the NHL right now that have gone the agent to GM route. No doubt, no doubt, Florida for one. Yep. And Montréal for another. When this whole thing happened with Ives, I mean, my first suggestion was Pat Person, the high-powered agent, the agents of Don't Larkin among others. But he probably makes so much money to do what he's doing now. I mean, but yeah, the agent said, I mean, it worked in the NBA with the NICS. So the point I am making is I would only build a case of hope in that this guy,

5:30if it were had been Greenberg, that it's a heavily driven analytics approach that are applicable from sports to sport, and that it would be something cutting edge that worked for the Redwings. Let me state for the record, however, I think if I built that case, which I would hope, and I do a lot of hope, I keep hoping my back pocket. It would be a weak case. I mean, I'm not mad that he's not a candidate anymore. Let's just say that. I've heard that the leading candidate is Brent Peterson from the Florida Panthers. Now, one of their guys is already going to be the general manager of the New Jersey Devils, and he's a fascinating analytics guy. So that's why the Devils got him. So I think his name is Sammy Mata. But yeah, I mean, Carolina want to stand in the cup with basically an analytics guy.

6:34Yeah, the analytics thing to me is certainly worth exploring, and certainly, but I think it's important that an analytics guy hires the right assistant GM. Yes. You need somebody in that room that just has hockey instincts, hockey knowledge, hockey sense, because analytics don't cover everything. So it would have to be a good assistant. Like if you're going to do something that's extreme to one in one direction, you better balance it out in the other, right? Yeah. I mean, the guy from Carolina, I'm looking at his Wikipedia page now, Eric Tulski. He started off working in Nano technology, writing for the Philadelphia Flyers fan blog, Broad Street Hockey. That's where he started, and then he spoke at the Sloan Sports Analytics. And next thing you know, he becomes the general manager of the Carolina hurricanes.

7:36Yep. After he consulted with the National Predators, and they want a Stanley Cup. So yeah, there is, and he's actually from Port Hurrah. I know. He's a local guy, which is unfortunate. But it's still one of the more unbelievable stories we are moving in now on two months. Yes. We have what you say eight days to training camp. Training camp starts the 17th. So yeah, nine days. Nine days, so training camp. By that time, it'll be two months since Steve Eisenmoon was stepped down or was told to step down, whatever, however you want to call it. How can they not have somebody running the organization? Well, Hurakov probably is in charge right now, but you know what I mean. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. And he is very highly regarded around the league. He's the, you know, he's the assistant general manager, but he's also the general manager of the Griffins. So he's put that team together with a lot of moves, you know, besides just farm hands. But and he's a former player.

8:38So he knows dealing with agents and things like that. But I know a lot of people want nothing to do with anybody internally. Well, there is a belief that, you know, the pipeline is maybe run dry and it's time to go outside the quote red wing family, if you will. And I don't think the red wing fan should be opposed to that. 9:38Uh, the new can't read defense defensive, uh, coverage is whatsoever. Um, and again, uh, that's my opinion. That's what I've seen and also have some opinions of the coach. So every time the showroom on TV has facial expressions where he didn't know what the hell is going on. And uh, it is like like he was scared half the time, barely confused. Um, I think maybe even the college game has passed him over too. Well, I don't know. I don't know if his facial expressions when he was the head coach, you toss successfully for all those years where any different than they were, I'm not saying they were or weren't. I don't, I don't know that. I think we need to give them time. Uh, but he's not, he's not a yellow and screamer. No, he's never been one. And he's never been one for it to be in the limelight either. You also have to be acutely aware of what the cameras pick up in the,

10:43five seconds they show him four times a quarter. Right. It doesn't always represent what's going on. Now someone, someone suggested yesterday, and I a reager actually mentioned this to me on Sunday, but suggested with a text yesterday when I worked with John that this has the makings of Monty Williams. And I think that's way, way, way, way, way, way too early to make that claim. It's one game. Okay. Well, there's, there are similar. He had a lot to say about Bryce there too. Yeah. And, and some of that may or may not be true. I can't, the coaches aren't telling me that and they probably wouldn't even if it were true. But the conclusion of what he is now is different than what he can be. And, and how much he came, it could improve. And the word, and the key word you use was can. Yeah. We don't know if it's going to happen. There's been, look, he, if Bryce underwood, but basically fails, he won't be the first,

11:47you know, five star quarterback to fail in college football. It happens. And there are some guys that get better as their careers go on. And, you know, it, it feels like it's got happened in hurry for, for, for, for Bryce, but it, it can, it can get better. It's like, it's like the Jalen during conversations. It can turn develop. He's still relatively young. Yeah, he can get better and Bryce can get better. But they're not, they can't be in the business of waiting too long. They, if there's somebody that gives him a better chance to win, play that person. If, if Tommy Car is ready, if brainfowler, nickel, OSE is ready, play one of those guys instead. Yeah. But in the meantime, it, I would, I would argue that it's still probable that Bryce gives him the best chance to win. They just, I would, I would try and narrow the playbook. Not everybody's in fan of that, but that's what I would try. I think he'll get a half at least on Saturday. And I, I just don't want to see people really booing.

15:54underwood footwork. These guys don't know what they're talking about. About the footwork. Everybody's calling in. Always footwork. Always footwork is bad. Always footwork. They don't see it's footwork. They don't understand anything about footwork. I'm not concerned about Bryce underwood footwork. I'm more concerned about his decision making. His decision making has to improve. If he can improve his decision making, his athleticism will make up for his footwork. I'm not concerned about his footwork that much. I'm more concerned about his decision making. His decision making. And if the staff will give him time, he's going to be fine. They gave archmaning time. And you we see he's going to be fine. So the bottom line is Bryce underwood is, I'm so everybody jumping off the bandwagon. Everybody's all upset at Bryce underwood. That offensive line was atrocious. Yes, it was. But I couldn't do good. Yes. But you brought up the point, the decision making.

16:55Most of that had nothing to do with the offensive line. I mean, when you watch and you break down some film and because of John gets this stuff and he shows, you know, from behind Bryce underwood and how he refuses or, I shouldn't say refuses consciously, but he does not look off receivers. Oh, there's some examples of it for sure. Yeah, so those are the things that have nothing to do with it. Underdress when you're under. Oh, I might have known. We're not even talking about, when I'm not even talking about when I'm underdressed, because I agree the offensive line was a pile of poop on Saturday. There's no doubt about it. Right. Right. Well, archmaning last year opened in Columbus and obviously a much better opponent. And but there were fans wanting to bail on him. And it would be different if Michigan if he played that way against Ohio State for sure. But people jumped a quick conclusions is really the point. And you know, he can get better. Like there is a chance here for him to get better.

17:56I don't, you know, you might think it's never going to happen. And that's fine. I would guess that the people that are working with him every day that have had success with dual threat quarterbacks and multiple stops before. And I'm talking about basically Jason Beck here. The offensive coordinator will have a better sense for crisis chance at success. Long term or failure, probably better than the call of reference to armchair quarterbacks. Yep. He'll probably know better than Mike Stone or Doug Karsh or anybody else. Definitely better than me. And they are more vested in that success and failure because it's their jobs. Exactly. So I, you know, I can defer here a little bit to them. And at some point, we're going to get to a situation where it's going to be a crossroads. And some people are there now. But the other part of it is is without seeing Tommy Carr and knowing what he can do.

18:57Right. We have no idea if he's even any good. Nope. Certainly hope so. Yeah. No one Tommy since he was a little kid. But at the end of the day, it's a, they're going to have to make the decision at some point. By the way, just because you mentioned Tommy Carr, is there any culpability at Michigan for CJ not being at Michigan or is it just he wanted to just get out of the car shadow? I, I actually don't know the answer to that question. There was, I don't know. Okay. I honestly don't know. I haven't, I haven't asked. I mean, I suspect there is. You know, if a kid doesn't end up at Michigan, it was, you know, it was grand play there. Grandfather's a, what, Hall fame coach. Yeah. So yeah, probably something was done on. Okay. Want to get to this? How does scenario today drive it into work? And I want to ask you what do you do?

19:58You're at a red light. You are the second car in line. Okay. The light in front of you turns green. Yes. How long do you give it before you honk the horn? 10 seconds. 10. Wow. Five to, five to 10 seconds. How about that? Okay. Kang, you're at a red light. Car in front of you is not moving. Light turns green. You're the second car. How long do you give it before you hit the horn? Three seconds. Three seconds. Yeah, I think 10 seconds sounds like it'll turn you. Yeah, I know. I like to know yellow and then red before you. Yeah, you're right. Okay. Five seconds. Five seconds. Kang, you're three seconds. Maybe 11 seconds if it's after the Michigan, Western Michigan game. So today, I was driving into work. I hit a red light. I was a second car in line. The light turned green. And car in front of me doesn't move. I'm like, that's been at least five seconds.

21:00I haven't hit the horn. I'm still sitting there. Wow. Still haven't hit the horn. Because the vehicle in front of me was a cop. Oh, what do you do? You do nothing. You stay there forever. If he doesn't do it. When's there another lane you could have gone around? No. You maybe take your head out the window. Go, excuse me, sir. Excuse me, kind officer. Man, I have nothing or woman. I have nothing but the utmost respect for. The light is green. You know what? I think after a while you could just a polite little. Boop. You know, not a slamming the horn. Well, I will tell you that I didn't do anything. It just waited and eventually he drove. But I was sitting there like, do I, do I,

22:00do I, do I hunk here? It's a cop. If there's any of our policemen, friends who are listening. And maybe what? What would you do if it happened to you where a regular person is behind you and none hunks at you? I didn't, I just sat there. I was like, nope, not going to do it. Not going to do it. You know, in your original question before the cop was involved, I got to say, you know what, I'm less patient at is if it's a right person, it's a right on red and the person's in the right lane and you're behind them and they don't turn red. Or you're not obligated to. I know, I know. Well, so you know, if you're not then getting another other lane, getting this lane where you can't turn. Well, what if they just are turning, but they just don't want to do it on red? Then there are a holes. Okay. Then I then I'll slam, especially now you brought that. Why wouldn't you? Why wouldn't they do that? I gotta tell you, what is the, I just saw this.

23:01I do it with a polite hawk. How do you, my horn doesn't have a, I always said that they should have different styles of horns on each car because there's a polite, hey, just a, you know, the light green hawk and then there's the, hey, blank you hawk. Great. There's a way just to, you know, No, there is. You're right, Stoney, but sometimes, haven't you ever accidentally pushed it too hard? And you're like, oh, no, I didn't mean to be that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was just supposed to be ahead. Yeah, yeah. I'm not sure. No, put the finger away. Don't need that. But with the police officer, man, I'm a saying it forever. I'm just not, I know, because in my mind, they probably just haven't looked up at the light, but they're pro, but in my mind, I'm thinking, okay, he's doing some important police work. So I don't want to mess up. Sure. Like, hey, he's doing someone on his computer there. So I gotta, I didn't know what to do. I had no idea what to do. So maybe you're right. 27:10Usually I'm about three seconds. Okay. You know, and then, but there's a cop. I was listening. I should write. Maybe I won't do that. So what do you do in that situation? Do you beep at a cop? Mike and LaPierre are 90-7-1. Hello, Mike. Good morning, Doug. Hey. Hey. I literally just had that, well, it wasn't a cop. I didn't know you were beeping that. You didn't want to beep at a cop. But I was at the light. LaPierre taking my dog to the bed. The guy in front of me, I can see down in his car. He's on the phone. He gets no time. He got the immediate. Okay. Hit off your phone and go. I get that, yeah. And what would you do if it were a police officer? I think I'm like, you, Doug. You don't beep at a cop. You don't even wave at him. I was with my cousin in New York and she waved at a cop and he pulled us over. You know, that was wrong, but he's like, why'd you, I don't know why, but you know, it's I used to drive at night.

28:10There's two kind of headlights at night. Drunk at cops. You avoid both. Fair enough. Thank you, Mike. I'm a retired police officer and it happened once, it happened once in a while because of being distracted by the radio or computer. It just depends on the type of honk as to how I would respond. I got to work on my polite honk technique. Yeah. I've got I actually just said out loud in public. I've got to work on my polite honk technique. That sounds dirty as hell. It could be a 12 seat in the Stoney and Wajau drop-turn. I'm sorry. Police officer here had happened to me when I was reading the computer screen and I missed the light change. I got honked and I owned it because it was my mistake. Let's go to Sean and Detroit. Your next hello, Sean. Hey, how you doing? We're good. Good, good. I wanted to talk about Bryce on the world. It's giving me Joe Milton vibes.

29:11You know, Joe Milton won his first game that year in Minnesota. Is that a good idea? I said, it's giving me Joe Milton vibes. When Joe Milton was here. Yeah. That Michigan, and it's just giving that type of vibe. But I just think he just needs a little more time. Because he's only a sophomore. But it's going to be brutal this Saturday. It's going to be brutal or Oklahoma coming in. And if he can show some type of signs of improvement that guy, I don't see you benching on. But the coaches need a lot of fire under his butt. They got to get in here. You know, it's got to be difficult, Sean. It's got to be really difficult. The discipline that it would take to be a 19-year-old kid. Then everybody's talking about you.

30:14And you have a device with social media that hopefully he doesn't have social media. And now you're being asked, we need you to get more comfortable. We need you to settle down. We need you to relax. We need you to, with the whole world, talking about this is an incredible challenge. And that's part of the job. But it's an incredible challenge. Because I mean, I got a 19-year-old son. Yeah. And I just laughed. Like he couldn't handle this. No. He was probably handled the money. He would, but it's like when a kid says something ridiculous or, you know, like a player says something. I'm like, yeah, my kids are at age two and they said ridiculous stuff. Nobody was paying attention. Right. But stuff happens. Yeah. And yeah, you hope he can get better. And the caller is correct. I think Saturday's going to be ugly. It might be. I mean, they were favored Michigan. Was favored by a point and a half before Saturday's action.

So to answer your question about if you're stopped at a red light behind a police officer, I'm a police officer. And sometimes we kind of get distracted with, which is called police duties with our, our card computers. And just a quick little tap. If you're behind me, a quick little tap on the horn. They just kind of give me a focus at the light change. I see no problem with it. Good. Thank you for your service, actually. I appreciate that. Yeah, we're not going to, I mean, we see all kinds of driving all day long. Sometimes we fall victim to it as well too. And yeah, just don't, I mean, don't sit there and hold the horn down for five seconds. But you know, little little reminder like, hey, light changed. Maybe we'll give you a little wave, acknowledgements and we'll just kind of drive off.

32:19Matt, thank you for sharing. I know the moral of this story is everybody's got to work on their polite honk. Doug, knowing you, you ever thought to yourself, is this some how are going to get me in trouble? Is this against the law to? That's exactly what I thought. I was sitting at the end of the day. You know me. Yes. Well, it's also like when you're on a, you're driving and you, there's a cop and who's not going to speed limit and you're wondering whether you should pass them or not. I mean, and you do because you know, you're not doing anything wrong. I mean, I'm just sitting there at this light going. All right. So if I, I got to be in the office of trying to get there by eight, if I give this little polite tap, I'd be out on bail and time for the show. That was what it was rather to my mind. Maybe maybe that skaters excuse. From Rob in the shores, I had the exact same thing happened to me in Auburn Hills this morning. I hesitantly, softly tap the horn and he went.

33:21Yeah, way to go. Unnamed Texter, never use your horn, flash your high beams or just wait. Flash your high beams in a cop. Yeah. That's worse to a certain extent. If you're behind them. Well, especially during the day is I can do it. Okay, your choice is to get the cop to realize the light is turn green. Flash your high beams or honk. You think flashing the high beams is worse. Well, at night, it probably is. But during the day, you'll never see it, right? Probably not. Quick beep. The horn. It's fine. It happens more often than you think. Running plates are looking at dispatched runs. Lots of stuff on the computer. Police officer for 13 years. Thanks for helping. These 12 hour shifts go by a bit quicker. Oh, you're welcome. So quick beep. Yeah. I got to tell you that the one cop that called police officer called was Matt. It was a matter of Mike. Matt. 35:22Or a guy who's been in the NBA for four years are ready to develop like an eight foot jump shot. I don't know. I think it depends on the individuals. But do you have an answer to your question? I think I think I think Bryce Underwood has a better chance of getting better than Jalen Dern does of developing an eight foot jump shot. Maybe, but the one thing that's crazy to me about the basketball scenario is it feels like the pistons have two players that they're asking to shoot more or maybe not in the case of Dern. They're asking to expand his offensive game. They're asking him both to expand their offensive game, which should be the most fun part of the game to work on. Right. Oh, and now, so, I mean, I'm sure they're working. And in the case of Bryce, the problem comes up if that he, if he doesn't develop quickly, like he doesn't get a huge timeline because if he gets replaced and there's any degree of success,

36:23he's probably not sticking around. Do you think Michigan will get to a point where he says, you know what, we're not going to make the playoffs. We just, I want to, we need to develop this quarterback for the next two years and just let him play. I mean, maybe, are you talking about Bryce? Are you talking about, yeah, that they were just going to, we think he'll get there. Yeah, we think he'll get there. I mean, what you have to remember is when they sit down with film, there are things like motions that are supposed to be tells or there are things like protections or what side the running backs lined up on or reading the safety and all these different things that are quarterback that determines their success and failure rate. There could be examples of plays where he did everything right but the, but the protection broke down or the receiver didn't get open. And so if you're worried about his decision making

37:24based solely on the passes he threw and not solely on against, because I'm worried about it too, but there are times where he makes the right decision, but nobody knows it. Correct, but I'm more worried about the decisions that like the one I mentioned earlier in the show where he should have kept the ball on red. Those decisions on, on RPOs. But Jalen Dern has been a professional athlete now for four years with round the clock coaching to be the best basketball player he is. Bryce underwoods placed 15 career, uh, college games. Jalen Dern is what he's, he's going to be. He's been four years to develop. Oh, at 21, you think he is what he's going to be? She's been with professional coaches doing 24-7 training for four years. Like if he could develop a post move or a shot from the key or a three-pointer with his level of competition, he would have done it by now. Pre-John, baby. I'm with you. I dramatically disagree. I think a player at 21 is still developing. Sorry, he's 22. I will say, I will say this to defend Doug. I do think Dern has gotten better every year, but to get to what we want, which is to be able to at least be a threat from,

39:28like I said, eight feet. I think, uh, Bryce underwood is further along. Yeah, I guess I think we're talking too much about he's only 22. What did you be saying? He's, but he's already in the league for four years. Like I think that, you know, we're just looking at it for the go wrong. Well, hey, man, Matt. It's just, I look, I just disagree. I think at 22, a player's just getting started. Even if he has been in the league for four years, he, because, and here's why as he grows up, he starts to become the big boy in the league, the veteran player in the league and the players that can handle him start to phase out of the league. And he has more develop, I think you can develop more of a game. I think you can develop more savviness and, and how to get to this. Because what I thought killed him in the playoffs was he wasn't catching the ball where he needed to catch it. And I think a lot of that was, was due to, you know, some, some players that knew how to handle him. And I, I'm sorry. I guess I just disagree. I think at 22, regardless of how long you've been in the league,

40:29you're not a finished product. Yeah, that, that part I agree with you. If he was 20, if he was 22 with it, this being like the first year as a starter, I get it. But this is his third year was completed as a starter. It's not like he's a, he's been a part time player for the last years where he hasn't been able to bang down low with these guys. Well, he just went from 11.8 points to 19.5 points from season to season. Okay, from his third year to his fourth year, that was the jump he made. And I think that's an example that he'd been in the league three years and made that kind of jump. So what does a fourth year really do? That doesn't, there's, there's like no timeline on growth is there. There's no expiration date on growth is there? No. I'm just talking about because of the actual thing that I want him to develop is going to be difficult. Right. Now, look, let's be clear here. There's tons of differences. Yeah.

41:29Between Jayland Dern and and and Bryce Underwood, my point is players do improve. Players do get better. Players over the course of time can, can learn how just, how to play in the league more. That's, that's the only probably relevant comparison. By the way, Pete Thamel just reported the SEC just filed an amendment and it's lawsuit against LSU and Lane Kiffin to seeks the authority for the SEC to expel LSU from the league. What? SEC has not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the series is. We have to circle back to that. Yes. Not having joint practices, not playing in preseason games. Are you just like chomping at the bit? I mean, are you going crazy? You just waiting? Yeah, dude, we've been, I've been going against Penae and Blake and all those guys for six weeks now. And you're just like, I'm done. Now I'm ready to go again to somebody else at this point. So yeah, I'm ready. You've been with this team for a while, and you certainly, you know, having grown up here, know the history. Why is this Lions team in your opinion? And maybe it's not, but why is this Lions team in your opinion ready to finally make that step to the next level? Third question. I think we've got all the right leadership in place.

43:33I think from a defensive perspective, we've all got a ton of faith and, and chef this year he's coming off his first year as a Corvator. And I think he's really evolved at a high level. So we have a lot of faith in him. So we've got to go out there this season and execute. And I think he's going to put us all in great positions. So just go make a play. What is it about DJ Wannum that Lion fans might not understand that you've been able to ascertain during training camp? Yeah, DJ, I think he's going to be a great player for us. Man, a real great compliment on the other side. You know, he plays with a lot of length. You know, he's got super long arms. He's able to really press that pocket with the long arm and the stab and supra athletic too. So I'm really excited to see what he does on Sunday. And I think it's going to be, I think the whole rotation really even with Derek Moore and the deep tackles we got, it's going to be a fun deal on this year. I always interested when a player like DJ Wannum comes in and you've played against him,

44:34not that you lined up against him. Do you guys start comparing notes to Z Sit down in the defensive line room and say, well, here's what I thought about your team and tell you what they thought before they got here? You know what? I'd like to say that. But DJ is one of the most soft, spoken, quietest person I've ever met. On the team in a great way though. We get along awesome, but I got to pry information out of him. So we'll be in the meeting tonight. I'll be I'll be I'm always picking his brain trying to see, you know, because he played with a lot of great players as well and went up against a lot of great people. So it is fun to pick his to pick his brain, but you got to you got to pull it out of him for sure. Are we going to see the Aleem McNeil that we saw a couple of years ago? Because the last year he kind of struggled coming back from the injury. Yeah, I think man, it's it's always tough coming back from injury, you know, especially you know, one that he had. And whenever I look at depth charts when they're put out there, he's listed as a starter. I feel like Tyler Lacey is a giant mystery man to this fan base. What can you tell us about Tyler? Oh, Lacey man. He's a he's great energy dude. He's always coming in to the locker room. He provides a great just a great friend amongst all the defensive line and his place speaks for himself. I mean, he's been our big end in base for a couple of years now. He's just a monster inside man. But he's definitely a gentle giant off the field. And he's always he's a great friend for sure. What kind of problems do the New Orleans Saints provide for you? Yeah, man. I mean, they're they're dynamic on offense. You know, I think with

So yeah, just a lot of a lot of dynamic pieces on offense that we got to account for. But I think, you know, we just do our game, do our job execute the game plan. What's it like for somebody with your motor to be in the preseason game just standing there on the sidelines watching? I would imagine it would drive you crazy. You know, I'm honestly not the biggest fan of preseason. So I'm a and that might yeah, I don't know if that shocks you, but I just to me like going out there because we did it a little bit when I was a rookie playing the preseason and any kind of production you might get or like even the defense playing well, it's just kind of and it doesn't really count. And so it's just, yeah, I'm working my crap every day. So it's I'm always trying to get better. But when when

47:47you make a big play and it counts for nothing, it's a it's hard to get it's hard to get going for that. Sure. Speaking of perfecting your craft, I see videos you've taken up golf a lot and you were playing with Jared golf who golf's left handed. How's your game? You know, my game is, but it's inconsistent as it gets, man, but it's been fun opening the golf brand, fourth and fourth this this offseason and doing some YouTube videos collabing with a bunch of NFL players. It's been great to get to know guys off the fields and man, it's been a fun little offseason venture for sure, but right now we're we're locked into it's the boss season now for the next seven months, eight months, however long it is. There'll be time for golf after the season. Hopefully after a long season. A dead cable took a totally different approach to this offseason. It felt like and there were, you know, there were no the joint practices. There was really a no nonsense all business approach. As a player, what is your interpretation or how do

48:52you see that that could make a difference this season? Yeah, I mean, I'm all about it. I think it's it's normal. You know, when you have a we have a team that we had last year, we didn't make the playoffs. Some stuff got to change and as players, we make the change and as coaches, I guess that's what he thought he had to change and I think we all have faith in that and we trust. I mean, it was a tough camp, very physical camp. So it was just because we didn't have joint practice. Didn't mean we didn't get work. I mean, I think we got even more work than we ever have. So it's a thought it was very beneficial, you know, but that's kind of the name of the game. If it doesn't work, you gotta change something up. You know, we evaluate, try and predict how and put, you know, what the season's going to be like. And there's a few players that you go, well, this guy's development's important. This guy has to step up. Maybe one of the biggest is a guy that you go against every day in Blake Miller. Tell us a little bit about the rookie tackle and how you evaluate his game. Yeah, I think

49:54what I respect the most about Blake is if I give him a look, he's constantly evolving. So it's rare when I give him a certain look that he won't recognize that in the future if I do it again and and be better for that. And honestly, out of our rookie, that's all you can really ask for, someone who can grow and learn as fast as they can. So I mean, I was trying to give him as many different looks as I could in training camp in order to prepare him for, you know, going against some of these team as you got on some other teams. So yeah, that's what I was trying to do. And I think he was doing a great job of evolving. I think he rarely makes the same mistakes twice, you know. So I'm excited to see how he developed throughout the season. Can you give us an example of you beat him with a certain move? And then later you are like, okay, he gets it. Is there something that happened in training camp? You're like, that's it. That's exactly what I was talking about. I'll change up. Yeah, it might be a move. It might bore me like my path. I switched stuff up a lot. But just when you get a lot of chip, I get a lot of chippers in my direction. So I have to be

50:58kind of multiple and how I attack that. And I think when I was presenting him with all those looks, I may have gotten him in the next day. I see him doing something else to that same look.
