We’re talking about holding space for the “ugly” days—the ones where life just feels messy and whether we do the exact same thing as the day before, it's just one of those days. And if we need space for having an ugly day, so do our kids. Let's normalize the fact that you don't have to love everything, every single day. We need to stop fighting this feeling, there is always tomorrow or this afternoon. It's ok if it doesn't change. You can have bad days. And so can your kids.
