Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old self-described socialist, won the New York City Democratic Mayoral primary earlier this week. Mamdani beat out several seasoned politicians like former Governor Andrew Cuomo and NYC Comptroller Brad Lander in a ranked-choice voting contest.
The NYC mayoral election isn't until November, and Mamdani has to win over even more voters. However, Kennedy has much to say about his policies and fears for the future of Gotham.
