MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC Well ladies and gentlemen, thanks so very much for joining me again today, especially those of you who are serving in the United States Navy Coast Guard and all of our Armed Forces around the world. But a big welcome to those out on the fleets around the world who are listening to this broadcast either live or through live streaming. Well welcome aboard and thank you for joining Peace Through Strength America's Navy. I'm Lieutenant Commander Stephen Rogers, United States Navy retired and presently the Executive Director of the Association of the United States Navy. Now this program is absolutely without any doubt supported by and presented by the Association of the United States Navy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting US Naval and US Coast Guard power and operations as well as all the personnel serving and their families.
The topics addressed on this program reflect only the perspectives presented by the AUSN. Now if you'd like to have more information about the Association of the United States Navy, you can go to our website at www.ausn.org. That's www.ausn.org. Well I have a very special, very, very special guest today. His name is Mark Beacher. He is the chief of staff of the Association of the United States Navy. Now Mark's work for our Navy, our Coast Guard and may I add individuals in every branch of the US military is just extraordinary. And you're going to learn that as I have this conversation with him. So please listen carefully, understand that the services of the AUSN are available to all of you who are serving as well as your family members. Well Mark, welcome to today's broadcast. Thank you Steve, glad to be here. Well Mark, I'm going to ask you to first share with our audience your time with the Navy, what you did in the Navy, and then we're going to get right into the extraordinary work that you have accomplished at the AUSN for our sailors, their families, and again may I add to you.
And then we'll get to the families, and again may I add other branches of the United States military. So Mark, I'm going to, I'm going to ask you to come on deck here and then if you can please start with your time in the Navy and then we'll transition over to your time as chief of staff with the AUSN. Good, yeah, as a matter of fact, I may Vietnam war veteran, I joined the Navy in 1970, spent the next four years in the Navy, traveled around the world a couple of times, was in the North Atlantic, around the Cape of good hope. All over the Mediterranean and one tour in Vietnam. So that was my introduction into the Navy. And then after that I got out and went to college and went to four years of training in college and got a job in the industry that I spent for the next 30 some years in industry.
But during that time I really longed and looked back to my military career and my Navy career and wanted to associate again with the Navy. So about 30 years ago I joined the USS Saratoga Association, which was the ship that I was deployed on for the whole four years I was in the Navy and have risen through the ranks in that association. And became extreme friends with hundreds and hundreds of hundreds of shipmates over the years and been in many cities, done reunions. And I'm currently the treasure of the organization and love every minute of it. So that kind of got me started and then I ran into many, many Navy people, many military people and joined the DAV and the American Red Cross. And a few others in the veterans administration and became a veteran service officer trying to help other military people get their benefits or compensation that they might or might be due.
And it had really enjoyed doing that for the last 10 years. And then that leads me up to today where I'm actually involved with the association of the United States Navy by invitation Steve Rogers asked me to help out as best I could wherever I could. And over the last couple of years we have developed a tremendous friendship and and camaraderie in trying to expedite and help people all over the military spectrum from the United States Navy and Coast Guard to any other military people that might be involved or needs assistance. And you know, with that we're probably up to current speed and I love my Navy association and I was real glad to see Eli Hyden right come from out of the military academy and go straight into the Pittsburgh Steelers. So go Navy.
Hey Mark, one of the issues that have been brought to my attention early on before you came on board was that there hasn't been enough attention given to our enlisted members. It seems to be and I'm not talking about the AUS and I'm talking about generally in the military and the Navy that a lot goes on with officers a lot of said about and with officers all good stuff all all really good stuff. But very little is given credit to our enlisted personnel in the Navy now the extraordinary part of your story and you didn't mention it and I want to mention it because we've got thousands and thousands of enlisted personnel who listen to this broadcast. You're a member of the enlisted ranks correct. I am as a matter of fact I started out as an E1 and I left the Navy as an E4 and I actually took the the courses and curriculum for the Naval Academy and I could have well become an officer at almost any time.
I really wanted to do a few other things back in those days I was young and naive so now I'm trying to mention to all of the the sailors in the United States military Navy and Coast Guard to consider that you know being enlisted is definitely a good thing. A career builder it's a character builder and nothing to be ashamed of at all and those that go on to become must angers or enlisted people to officers are a great way to look at your military career. So I definitely want to represent the United States Navy and Coast Guard as an enlisted person and know full well that you know over the years I've learned a lot and want to pass on that experience.
I walked to your point about the enlisted ranks and then becoming an officer that's the career path I took I came in the Navy as an enlisted person and I'll tell you if I didn't be if I didn't serve as an enlisted person. I didn't remember the Navy I wouldn't know how critical and vital enlisted personnel are two officers when I became an officer I was told right off the bat find a good chief find a good chief that will be working with you because they are the backbone of the Navy. I'm glad you mentioned that it is something to be proud of because you know we go aboard the ships and we see those hard working young men and women whether in the boiler rooms in the bottom of the ship or they're doing other things they're constantly working and they get the little or no credit that they should be getting and I'm talking about credit from our civilian population from the people who are not in the military.
What do we say on TV all the time well we see officers talking about this talking about that as if they're all well as if you have to be an officer to be an expert and have credibility so by listening to you and how you're. I'll tell you Mark it's got to be an encouragement to those enlisted sailors of you know listening at this hour so to your point you know what you're right what a lesson but I've learned more by the experiences in life than book work correct. Absolutely I'll tell you what I certainly relish every minute of my college career and my work experience but I certainly go back to my foundations you know when I first joined the Navy I was just a young buck from Western Pennsylvania. And it really shaped me up and I got to see you know hundreds of places now you can do this in in any way shape or form but it is a great way to introduce young people into how they should approach life and how they should take on responsibility.
Now Mark we've run into some pretty extraordinary issues that a lot of our personnel have run into whether it be with my pay you know their benefits would pay whether it be with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies they have to deal with and I got to tell you folks Mark and I we talk a lot and we are amazed every day on how easy things could be for people. If the people who are in the positions to help knew exactly what they were doing right Mark. But let's talk about a couple of issues are you really important ones that you were involved with I'd like to you to share the story of well a couple of stories we had a world war two veteran here in New Jersey that you were very instrumental in helping out he is passed on now and there were issues regarding his pay. And benefits I believe going way back do you remember that Mark yes I do and I think you're talking about the 104 year old CB from New Jersey.
And in his particular case his family was trying to take care of him in in his waning years and the veterans administration and a few others you know in his provider network were always you know asking for more money or looking for more money and so the military was always a drawback to how how was he going to get the job. How was he going to get his his health care paid for so we were we were kind of questioned as to what better ways and methods and other methods could be utilized to help this man in his in his senior years as he was in a nursing home and so we we dug into it we contacted many people we talked to the veterans administration we talked to the US government. We talked to a lot of people we talked to the family and ended up sorting out a lot of details that ended up with him getting the money that he deserved from his from his military career and unfortunately ended up dying this summer but his family was much appreciative of what the association the United States Navy had done to help his.
His family and that's that sort of thing so we're we're proud of that that relationship. Yeah and you know i can only imagine what these families are going through right start to want to do the right thing right Mark and that's right yeah and and they want closure right mark that they just right they they're really looking for closure they're looking for assistance but they're looking for closure and you know with a couple of other issues that we've. We had to deal with you know on a one off basis we've you know helped somebody get the money that the they deserved in a timely fashion where they had been drug around for quite a while and it all comes down to an educational process trying to make people aware both on the receiver side and on the. The government side if you will to to make sure that these people get their due.
Mark before you came on board I remember a case we were involved with a retired Navy again this was a retired Navy and listed fellow. His family was trying to get him one of those stairmasters you know those stair lifts sure and three four years went by and they just couldn't get approval for the VA to finance that and to buy it. Well they came to us and I got to tell you back then we were able to with a little hard work get the stair lift within about three weeks now that isn't that a extraordinary isn't that something though how a guy like you Mark you get on the phone you do the leg work you do the hard work and you can get these things done within weeks instead of years but that's the tragic part of the story people have been waiting for years to get help and now that the AUS and another organizations are here that. Well it's not going to take years maybe a month or so in some cases but certainly not years.
That's correct and you know there's so many resources available to all of the military community I mean. There is you know there's an association named after almost every ailment or issue that the military has so if you plan your resources properly and you can. You learn to talk to the right people at the about the right things you can you can expedite these issues much quicker and with with a lot of emphasis on the military bearing in the family so with that said I'm real happy that I'm able to to get people together and get their resources to them as quickly as possible. Mark one case that you recently were very very successful at almost a heartbreaking case as to what the family went through for many years which you tell us the case you worked on regarding I believe it was a the crew I don't know if it was a B 17 but some aircraft that the father or grandfather got shot down.
Nobody survived could you tell us that story and what happened with regard to the family trying to have a proper burial for at least a marker that was given to the family during World War II. Right that story started in World War II outside of the Philippines apparently this particular. This particular. I had to shut that off I apologize the the the the story started out in World War II where a crew of bomber pilots and a crew of bomber people were on their way to bomb some place in the South Pacific. And as they were going across the the border into the country that they were going to bomb they were shot down and the whole crew was lost one person was actually captured by the Japanese and spent about four years in a military prison during the war up until nineteen.
Forty five when when he was finally liberated but the other members of the crew were all lost and one of those crew members that was lost was a family from New Jersey and that that family from New Jersey wanted to honor their their lost uncle in this case. And have a marker for him at Arlington and as you well know as probably the listeners know if you are a prisoner of war or if you're shot down or if you're a senator you are definitely one of those people that can be buried with honors at Arlington. In this case there is a place I had to learn this there is a place for the family members that have lost somebody during the war that their body was not recovered called the memorial section of Arlington and it is a wall of plaques that just tell the story of who what where went and how.
And so we petitioned the state government and the US Army and the family members to solve the mystery of how to get this memorial established we researched it got it done and recently got a letter from the Army mortuary division that the requirements have been met and the letter and the. Memorial will be established and placed at Arlington in the very near future so the family is extremely aesthetic they're very happy about this process and all due to you know their request and our research and and then the process of you know utilizing our resources so we're glad to get that done. Again getting back to that issue they want peace of mind they want closure right I just and I know you and I talked about this I just can't understand how these things cannot be taken care of at the period of time when they come up is it unqualified people mark that you have found in these positions that the important decisions need to be made because this this seem to me.
As I look back it was a matter of someone making the right contacts and just pushing the right buttons saying hey look at here's the issues we have the evidence let's move forward with it but we're talking years right we're talking years before you got involved. I think what's happening is naivety you know the family members just think that they can make a phone call or go over to the croaker store and get what they need but it's a lot more in the way that they can. So we've just learned to navigate the intricacies of the US government and the pieces of the puzzle that need to be put together and you know again I use the word utilizing our resources that kind of goes back to my old boy scout days you just have to envision it plan it and you know what I'm going to do is I'm going to do that. In vision it plan it and then prosecute it so we were lucky to get that done and I think that's the same way we need to do it it's kind of like a legal defense my veteran service officer training was that you treat everything like it's a very serious legal case and you are the prosecutor and you need to.
Come to a satisfying conclusion that the the the deed is solved and justice is going to prevail. Mark we just launched Operation Reach Out and I know you're aware of that you talked about the resources people need. We need to encourage families right to get in touch with us to military families to become part of Operation Reach Out because you nailed it before a lot of people are unaware they have no idea and I'm talking about the people in the military and their families of the resources available to them and look you've been at meetings that have been held at the Pentagon with me virtually and you see what the department of war is trying to do with regard to helping military families. So they need to get in touch with us right these military families and of course involved it's a matter of either picking up the phone or going to our website and sending us an email and we'll provide those resources to them and do you find that as proud of the problem as maybe I think you touched upon a little bit that maybe not only us the a us and but the entire military infrastructure needs to do a better job.
And getting this information out. Absolutely and you know to make a finer point to all of that communication and connection is a very very serious problem. There's so many people that exit the military or that have exited the military years and years and years ago and they've been they've been naive they've misunderstood and don't understand the processes that they need to go through to even answer the simple question. So all of the conferences and all of the opportunities that I have or can have are to learn and express myself and express the feelings of the a usn in terms of you know answering questions and putting out the information so that all of these people in the military no matter where they are what they're doing or what their job is from the military.
You know oh oh ten down to E one you know they have to be they have to know that they can talk to somebody and that they can ask somebody so our you know all of our processes are designed to communicate better and I think that as we do that over the years and as you develop a good rapport with all of our members and put the word out in operation reach out the the wives are going to know the spouses are going to know the children are going to know and I think it's a wonderful thing what you're doing to make the the a usn a focal point for answers to questions. What we got about three minutes left and you touched upon something that I'd like to just expand on a little bit communication unfortunately there are people today are getting all their news and information from mainstream media networks there's a lot of misinformation over the internet it's frustrating people it's getting people angry and I know you and I had this conversation it's important again and I had mentioned this at some point.
I think some of the meetings I've had in the Pentagon for lack of a better word we need to do more marketing on behalf of our US military forces and be the pathway for people to come to to get accurate information there was a lot of things going on with some of our ships out in the Middle East these past few weeks and boy I got to tell you Mark like like me I'm sure you were just astonished over the false information the false narratives and the panicking and everything else going on as a result of the media outlets sending bad information for lack of a better term across the airwaves but also it's a it's a heads up to all of us who are in the know to share that at your information with people and they could come to the a usn and get the best information that's available to them through us. Absolutely and you know Steve we have to portray the a usn as an advocate for the military and not a bad player in the organization like these artificial intelligence and misinformation bad players that are diving into all the social media that we are so prone to view every day.
So we've got to spend more time communicating our position and our our clarity and correctness so we can you know fight against those artificial intelligence and and bad players that are spelling bad bad information that unfortunately is being strewn about the world. Well Mark thanks for joining us I got to tell you you're an asset to the a usn the United States Navy you're still in buddy you see you did you did become an officer right here she was staff you you made it buddy. I've elevated myself thank you very much. only when the government boughs to the people will America become great again this is Malcolm out loud here join me in pushing back against censorship my fellow Americans white at the top of America out loud dot news are the words any voices one freedom united in the first amendment now is our time my fellow Americans America out loud dot news liberty and justice for all welcome back my friends thank you for joining me here on the second half of our one hour broadcast obviously if you've tuned into the first half of the broadcast we're addressing a lot of secular issues and secular challenges in the world that's turned inside out and upside down but we do make some sense of it we do give you some guidance as to how you could overcome a lot of the difficulties that you see that we are facing as a nation and perhaps you as an individual
which leads me to this part of our broadcast because the first part America out loud news right America out loud so we're being a people who have become out loud for the good of this country we need to speak up right we need to speak up speak out get involved and make sure that we do our part in keeping America free and strong and a part of doing our part leads me to what we're going to do right now we are going to get out loud but we're going to get out loud for God that's right America out loud news well here's this portion of us getting out loud America getting out loud for God because it is in the holy scriptures that we find peace through the storms that we find strength through the challenges that we run into as not only a nation but as individuals when you look at the founding documents of this country
in just about every paragraph two words are used divine providence George Washington dependent on divine providence to get through some tough tough times Abraham Lincoln at his time divine providence John Adams Thomas Jefferson I could go down the list of the 56 signers of the declaration of independence and show you historical proof that they somehow some way even if it was an ounce of belief did believe in God Almighty the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob known as Jesus Christ the Lord of lords of the king of kings so when people say well the founding fathers really didn't believe they don't know what they're talking about they have no idea what they're talking about and so as I just shared with you the second half of our broadcast here in America out loud news is getting out loud for God and so I'm going to share some scripture verses with you that I hope and pray will have positive impact on your life
and help you to understand that there is a God above and his name happens to be Jesus Christ know the name no other name under the heavens on the earth under the earth in the depths of the sea and the far reaches of out of space know the name in history can replace the name of Jesus Christ as the one true holy God just remember that you don't believe it well you got problems but doesn't mean God doesn't love you he loves you and his arms are open for you and we will continue to pray for people like you if you don't believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior however hang in there does wait a few minutes because by the time we're through with this part of this broadcast you may have found peace not through the words that I am saying brought through the words that Christ has said through his Bible his word I am merely the messenger
now let's talk about your trials let's talk about the trials of our country let's talk about the trials and tribulations that you are facing and in some cases the trials you are facing is as a result of the direction our country is going in but I'd like to bring down things down to a personal level how about this one have you preserved through your money problems have you preserved through your health problems have you preserved through your emotional problems and your your physical problems I mean on and on and on have you preserved through that have you persevered well here's something for you 40 some I waited patiently for the Lord and he inclined to me and heard my cry he also brought me up out of a horrible pit out of the myyory clay and set my feet upon a rock and established my steps he has put a new song in my mouth praise to our God many will see it and fear and will trust
in the Lord blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust and does not respect the proud nor such as turn aside to lies many O Lord my God or your wonderful works which you have done and your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to you in order if I would declare and speak of them there more than can be numbered sacrifice and offering you did not desire my ears you have opened burn offering and sin offering you did not require then I said behold I come in the skull of the book it is written of me I delight to do your will oh my God and your law is within my heart I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the great assembly indeed I do not restrain my lips O Lord you yourself know I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation I have not concealed your loving kindness
and your truth from the great assembly do not withhold your tender mercies from me O Lord let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me for innumerable evils have surrounded me my inequities have overtaken me so that I am not able to look up there are more than the hairs of my head therefore my heart falls me be pleased O Lord to deliver me O Lord may catch to help me let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion who seek to destroy my life let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wish me evil let them be confounded because of their shame who say to me aha let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you let such as love your salvation say continually the Lord be magnified but I am poor needy yet the Lord thinks upon me you are my help and my deliverer do not delay my God that was a prayer of David King David who went through
hell and high water in his life and he made it pretty clear that he waited and waited and waited patiently never gave up went through more hell and high water never gave up and then one day one day so his answers come from the kingdom of heaven you know about him those of you who do know about him you know what he went through because of his sin and a lot of what he went through had nothing to do it sin it's just the way things had happened in his life are you sinning yeah talking to you you're listening to me are you sinning you doing something you shouldn't be doing do you know you're doing something that is wrong not only in the eyes of man but in the eyes of God I once asked a person say well look it if I do this you think there'll be no problem with it I mean nobody's looking and you know that person said to me years ago what you're about to do would you do if Jesus
Christ was standing right there looking at you I got to tell you folks the answer was a very very quick no way no way would I do that well there's your answer I'm asking you right now would you do something that you know to be wrong if Jesus Christ was standing right there in front of you staring at you no you wouldn't do it I'm sure you wouldn't do it the point is folks is that we do things thinking believing that nobody's watching when Jesus Christ is watching and that's the problem we face today people don't want to be held accountable to anyone including God they don't want to wait for answers to come from God to their prayers and they look for the quicksick the quick fix and who gives you the quick fix well those who pat on the back and say you know I sympathize with you so let's go for a drink or how about take a drug or how about go see a psychologist or psychiatrist which by the way I do not condemn there are therapists psychologists psychologists
great people God gave a lot of these people wonderful gifts to heal you or at least to help you along the way to healing so when people say well you shouldn't go here go there no no no no you listen to people yes but I always say you pray and you ask God to guide you and he will guide you so don't listen to people that say don't take medicine don't do this don't do that for good mistakes God gave wonderful intelligent people the abilities the gifts if you will to bring a lot of people back to life you know you know what I'm talking about not back from physical death but I'm talking about back to life from a spiritual death as well as emotional death and on and on but they waited patiently yeah they prayed they waited patiently and that's why I'm sharing with those of you who maybe have no strong relationship with Christ you could wait for man until the end
of the world to help you don't send you down this or I go down this road good and that don't work on that road you go crazy right one person says do this another person says do that then you get the people say well look just call me I'm ready I'm here to help and on the 150 a telephone call or text or email you give up God doesn't work that way you'll have to wait you'll have to wait because God timing is perfect you're going through difficult times and challenges and same why meet God I don't understand folks I don't understand it all either but I find out that by waiting patiently for God's answer whether it's yes or no or in the middle that peace is coming to me and that when he answers it's an everlasting solution now that takes faith that takes a lot of faith but you don't give up you never give up and he will I'm telling you I believe it because I lived it
I've experienced it I waited patiently for the Lord and he had inclined to me he heard my cry he brought me up at a horrible pit at a myyry clay and he set my feet upon a rock which leads me to the book of Matthew there are scriptures in the book of Matthew that they look it don't build your house your life your soul your spirit everything you have unsaned because what's going to happen when the wind comes the rain the hell the fleet the storm comes your house is done finished you built it on sand the sand gets loose it caves in you get buried under the sand now what is the sand you ask I'll tell you what it is folks the sand is your hope and your dreams and all your investments are in money yeah the material things of this world money the love of money is the
root of all evil I have found I have learned and I am convinced that money the love of money does more damage to a right relationship between people and God than any other thing on the face I believe that because money isn't designed to hurt you money is designed to help you and you know what it helps you do this and yourself from God that's right there's a Satan there's a devil right we all believe in that who believe in Christ as our Savior so if you think that the devil is going to come after you with a pitchfork and burn you and prod you and demand that you separate yourself from God you know that's not going to work but if he showers you would give some material things and on earth including riches including success in whatever you're doing
if it's him doing it it's going to distance yourself from God and all of that material wealth and the success you're having on the job or here and there is going to be very temporary believe me I tell you folks I lived it unless Jesus Christ is in your life who happens to be that's right the rock the rock the rock the rock is the word of God is Jesus Christ you build your house meaning your heart soul and spirit you're you're you're being you build it on the rock which is Christ the word of God you know that same wind storm hail that came upon the house that was built on the sand and destroyed it will come your way and your house will still be standing meaning you will still be standing you have a few bruises you bet you will we'll be bleeding nope we'll be dying nope
you will be actually resurrected from the problems and difficulties that you're facing but you've got to wait patiently because in waiting your faith is being strengthened for the next challenge you got to wait I once a man once said to me when you pray what do you do after you pray I said well you know I I pray to God I talk to him I let him know the things I I need and some of the things I want and then I leave him alone I go he says you mean the what do you mean by going I says well you know I do pray once in a while I'm on my knees or I'm walking and then when I'm finished I you know go about my business so here's what the fellow says to me he says do you do that with everybody you just like have a conversation with them and walk away I said of course not I just did all about everybody I mean and folks let me tell you we're just driving at if I don't do that with people if I'm willing to stand there or sit at the table with them having a conversation
and waiting for their response one on I do that with Christ why don't I do that which Jesus Christ with the God that I'm praying to and I learned to listen Steve Rogers you're on your knees praying sitting up praying standing praying walking don't leave maybe walk an extra mile and be quiet be quiet Steve Rogers you said it all to God let him minister to you let him speak to your heart your soul and your spirit don't talk after you've already talked your heart out to Christ let him talk to you and I got to tell you folks no voice comes out of heaven no earthquake no both of light me but you know what happens that whisper that inner whisper to one's heart soul and spirit you know what I'm talking about leads me to go home or my office or wherever my Bible is now listen
to me and to just turn to pages turn turn turn and then suddenly you're gonna stop Steve Rogers you're gonna stop on the 769 page for example of Dr. David Jeremiah's Bible which I have in my hands now and your eyes are gonna be eyeball to eyeball on the Word of God the 40th Psalm yep for you it may be something else and another day another time for me another time another day and what should say at the 40th Psalm I waited patiently for the Lord and what did he do he inclined unto my you know he inclined unto me he heard my cry he heard my prayers what makes you think he's not hearing your prayers every word that's coming out of your mouth he hears every tear drop coming out of your eyeballs and flowing down your face you know what that is they're not just drops
of water folks now listen to me a lot of people have said to me oh I've you know cried so much Steve Rogers I've cried so much I you know I can't other a prayer we've all been there we've all done that but what we all have not done is come to an understanding of what those tears flowing down our faces really are that's right you want to know you're ready you're going through tough times difficult times challenges you don't believe you could overcome finally you get to a point where I cried I prayed to God night and day on my knees I go to church read the Bible listen that I just can't handle this anymore and then you break down and here comes the river the river of tears that could fill a 50 gallon jug and you know what it's okay every single tear drop
every single tear drop and I know when I say this some of you are going to tear up right now and that is okay every single tear drop is a silent powerful prayer to God he sees every drop and inscribed on every drop are the desires of your heart are the request you have brought to the throne of Jesus Christ that's right so when you're crying I mean really crying and those tears could fill a jug well there it is the river that makes glad the city of God ah what do you think of that what do you think of that that in itself should bring you to solace should bring you faith and strength God knew how to create man he knew what you and I needed to express ourselves to him even if we could not utter those expressions via a voice
or out of our mouth but we have to know him oh yeah and how do we get to know him read his word hey folks you know when you want to you want to know about first president of the United States George Washington pick up a biography about George Washington you want to know about Ronald Reagan pick up a biography about Ronald Reagan want to know about Jesus Christ pick up his biography the holy bible pick up his life story the holy bible and take his holy bible his word and take a look at that and you will find indeed what you have in your hands or if you are an individual who for some reason can't read a bible whether it be through a physical ailment some health issue or whatever you've got audio tapes you've got audio live streams you've
got audio usb you've got computers there is no excuse anymore it's there it is there the rock the rock comes in all forms folks whether it be through a computer an iPhone an iPad a telephone the rock the word of God yep if you can't see it you could hear it if you can't hear it you could see it and by doing that in any way shape and form that is grabbing that rock the holy word of God it will touch your heart will touch your soul and touch your spirit so you wait you wait because help is on the way I look at I don't know what many of you are going through but I'll tell you I believe most of you are going through difficult times look the economy is rough my wife and I think about gee you know we had kids several years ago that is a family make it today
but then I'm reminded that my 99 year old mother who passed away recently well I should say a year ago said that we made it my son we made it through the 1930s to depression the 40s to World War World War War II Korean World War we made it mom how'd you make it we were poor we lived on the streets of Brooklyn New York for goodness sakes and Bay Ridge we were poor you know she told me we made it because we prayed we made it because we worship Jesus Christ we made it because yet there were food pantries here there were grocery stores there but we made it because before we went into the grocery store before we went down the street to maybe get celtzer or bread or whatever there was another building we walked in and that was the church
that was a holy place where we could meet God Almighty one-on-one in the solitude and quiet of his house now my mother knew full well as we do today we could pray to God anywhere in the car in the shower in the bedroom in the in the living room yeah we could pray to God walking but I've got to tell you in my view that's fine and I do a lot I believe me I do it a lot they sit on my deck with my dog every day and I talk to God and I pray but I'll tell you what folks there is nothing like walking into a place that I call a holy place of God a holy house of God I feel that way I walk into a church there's an altar there are there are I mean a feeling that is so incredible and there's nothing wrong with that and I solitude it is quiet and that's the
best way to have it between you and God so I kind of say listen I've said enough to you O Lord of my house let's go to your house and let's talk and then I go and you know what I do after I pray I wait patiently I wait patiently upon the Lord because I know that he is hearing my prayers and I know help and is on the way and you need to know that so no matter what you're faced with right now at this hour know this it is not by accident that you're listening to this message I'm telling you something now listen to me this was not the message that I was preparing to share with you today nope I was preparing a message about atheism atheism and the fact that atheists are looking to destroy our country by separating us from God and suddenly something happened
decided to go to my Bible I decided to go to the 40th Psalm and began to share with you that Psalm about waiting patiently on the Lord in reality I didn't make any of those decisions he did Jesus Christ surely thy way teach me thy faithful Lord I say every day well he showed me his way regarding what I just said with you and teaching us all his path you're going to be fine you're going to be fine put your feet your hot soul spirit put it all on the rock to rock name Jesus Christ God bless you thanks for listening until next time God bless the United States of America and remember there's a God above who loves you ready willing and able to help you just ask right just ask and then wait and he will answer your prayers thank you and God
