From San Francisco, California, this is the Rock and Roll Geek Show. This is the story of my rock and roll butler. Welcome to the Rock and Roll Geek Show. My name is Michael Butler. Thanks a lot for joining me. I really appreciate it. Today is Friday, November or November, March 28, 2026, 6.43 pm when I'm recording this. We're on the road with Hanson Dick Manitoba. We're in Chicago, Illinois. We're loading in at a place called the Lyres Club in San Francisco and downtown Chicago. And this is downtown Illinois. Last night we played Milwaukee, I was decent crowd. Joe Paul showed up with his fiancée, Gina, Jeff Zellapagno, a little bit of those showed up last night.
I can't pronounce it. The two Jeffs who I cannot pronounce, the pronounce their last name, showed up last night. Jeff Zellapagno's and Jeff Steelelecky, both showed up. It was great to see. It was a nice surprise. I was not told that they were coming but they showed up and I was really happy to see those guys. As soon as I start talking, these fucking assholes start playing guitar. I'm going to try to walk outside. Say hey to the strains, merch, purse, and high strains. Hi. Say hi to the Rock and Roll Geeks show. Hello Rock and Roll Geeks. How's the tour going for you so far? It's going excellent. Good. Although I don't think I had enough coffee today. Me neither. We're at Long Drive tomorrow. What time do you guys leave and have to leave tomorrow? Oh, I don't know. I haven't figured it out. I'm not looking forward to you. At least you guys get to go on earlier tonight. We go on a new... New? Of course not. You definitely need more coffee. Hi.
Here's the handsome Dick Manitoba merch person. How are you? I'm great. Could be better. What are you? I said I'm great. I'm great. Could be better. How's me how I am? How are you? I'm super great. Couldn't be better. That's merch girl in the world. Hello, you rock and roll geeks up there. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, okay. I'm sidetracked. Because these two beautiful women... Three. Give me one. One. One. Okay. Now it's side now. Where was I? Decent Kral. We saw Jopalak. He's fiancee. You know. Jeff Fieneliki. Jeff Stella Pagas. And Jopalak brought me. A nice cash value for value donation. He also brought me a 30 pack of Takate's. We went out and had some Mexican food. He also treated us to Mexican. Thank you, Jopalak. It's always nice to see Jopalak shot with value for value.
The gig. In my opinion, we sucked. I could not get my head into a rock and roll space. And everything I felt I was doing. So I'm being honest with you friends. I felt like everything I was doing was forced. I just wasn't feeling it from the from the audience. And Richard was... He didn't eat so he was... He was Richard without any food. Dave Franco. We stayed at an Indian casino last night at the Sato Atami Hotel in Indian casino. Whatever. Dave Franco, friend of the show, picked me up this morning or new. We checked out. And it drove us to Chicago. It drove me to Chicago. He brought me a case of... What is this beer he brought me? Oh, it's really, really fucking good.
It is called... I don't know. I can't... I don't have a picture of me. Man, it's good beer. Thank you, Dave Franco. He also gave me a book about the history of Detroit Rock and Roll. And a couple of magazines. I bought this in Jardin era, which is like a pickle vegetable thing that they specialize in Chicago here. Took me to a nice Italian deli. We had a nice drive. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what he does for a living, but I think it's pretty secretive. It's nice seeing him. He also gave me a catch value for Taiwanese donations. So thank you, Dave Franco. It was nice to see him. And here we are in Chicago. Hopefully it's going to be good. We found out today that... Ross the Boss is no longer with us. Rest in peace, Ross the Boss. That really sucked me. It was just announced like less than a month ago that he had ALS
and Lou Gehrig's disease. And just like that, boom. Hug your grandma's friends. Come out and see handsome dick man at Noble while you can. He might be the last dictator standing. Sucks ass. Richard did eat today. So hopefully it's going to be a good show. I had an Italian beef sandwich, which is what... supposedly specialized in Chicago. I think it's fucking great. Oh man. Well, here we are at the Liars Club. This is a nice punk rock dive bar. We got a lot of friends coming tonight. Yeah. We got some friends coming tonight and hopefully it'll be good. And maybe some people if they hear the news of Ross the Boss. Maybe they'll come in and want to hear some dicktakers too. Let's come out tonight and pay tribute to the great Ross the Boss. One of the greatest guitar players that was about time. Alright, that's it, friends.
I'm going to go in and sound check. Let's leave you with some dicktakers. Why not? I've been playing ginger, but... You know, we got to make an exception tonight for Ross the Boss. Long live. Ross the Boss. Friedman. I'll talk to you tomorrow, friends. Every day, singer, every guitar player,
ever put track, singer, sounds a soul. My generation. Is that the salvation? Who will ever see it rockin' roll? I don't know the sturgis, covered with bruises Who will ever see it rockin' roll? I've been mercenaries, three called double-wish-signaries Who's our side? Who's it well?
I choose first, sixty-seven, stop the time of winter heaven I wish such a cover, never told the band to play My generation is not the salvation, so who will ever see it? Who will ever see it rockin' roll? It's a rockin' roll, geek train wreck
