Gis Santos just earned a big reward for his breakout season. The 23-year-old Brazilian signed a 3-year contract extension worth $15 million. It includes a player option for the 2028-29 season. Steph Curry took time to celebrate the news during a recent game broadcast. He called Santos' path one of the team's most inspiring stories so far. Curry noted how Santos started out thrilled just to land on an NBA roster. Now he's a steady rotation player who contributes on defense and offense alike. Drafted 55th overall back in 2022, Santos honed his skills with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League.
