The Golden State Warriors have a long history dating back to 1946 when they started in the basketball association of America, the precursor to the NBA. Over more than 75 years, they've had over 600 players where more than 60 different jersey numbers while playing in cities like Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Diego. To celebrate that legacy, there's a new series diving into every jersey number, and the players who wore them. It kicks off with number 51, sported by Big Man Les Jepsen during his short stint with the team. Jepsen hailed from the small town of Bowbells in North Dakota and wrapped up his college career at the University of Iowa before entering the pros.
