This illustrated children's book retells the classic fable of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, beginning with a family of bears leaving their forest cottage while their porridge cools. During their absence, a young girl named Goldilocks enters the home and systematically tests their food, seating, and beds to find the ones that are "just right." After eating the smallest portion of breakfast and accidentally breaking a tiny chair, she eventually falls asleep in the smallest bed. The narrative concludes when the bears return to discover the disorder in their house and find the intruder still resting in the bedroom. Startled by the homeowners, Goldilocks flees through a window and returns home, never to be encountered by the bear family again.
