This excerpt from Daisy Meadows’ "Kitty the Tiger Fairy" follows friends Rachel and Kirsty as they serve as junior rangers at the Wild Woods Nature Reserve. Their workday clearing a blocked stream is interrupted when they reunite with Kitty, one of the Baby Animal Rescue Fairies, who reveals that Jack Frost’s goblins are hunting tiger cubs. Using fairy magic, the girls are transported to a tropical jungle and granted the ability to communicate with animals to assist in a rescue mission.
