We do begin with the latest on the war in Iran, which looks like it's expanding. The Pentagon saying the military operation is accelerating, and that more US forces are arriving in the region, so chief correspondent, Ian Panell is tracking it all from Tel Aviv. Ian, good afternoon to you. Yeah. Good afternoon, Will. We are back in the shelter, another siren, another alert, another attempt by Iran to

1:00fire missiles and drones into Israel, and this just has been the daily routine for the last six days here and so many places now across the region. We keep talking about escalation, but honestly every day it feels like more and more things are happening. The US ramping up the war efforts in Iran, vowing to strike deeper into the country, releasing this video of a new long-range so-called precision strike missile being used in combat for the first time. And extraordinary video, capturing the moment US forces destroyed what the Pentagon described as an advanced Iranian warship. That ship, one of at least 20 Iranian Navy vessels, the US now says it's destroyed. America is winning, decisively devastatingly and without mercy. The ship, with 180 people on board, sinking to the bottom of the Indian Ocean, authorities saying only 32 sailors were rescued. As a Pentagon briefing Wednesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth saying that with even

Iran's capabilities are evaporating by the hour while American strength grows fiercer, smarter and utterly dominant. Several videos circulating online showing towering plumes of dark smoke from a series of strikes in Iran. And an up-close look at the armed forces facility building reduced to rubble. New satellite images showing the destructive impact of strikes to naval and air force bases and weapons facilities as the Trump administration says US and Israeli forces control the sea and the skies over Iran. The US also confirming the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander identified as the mastermind behind the 2024 plot to assassinate President Trump has also been killed. Iran tried to kill President Trump and President Trump got the last laugh. The death toll in Iran soaring to more than 1,000 people, according to the Red Crescent Society, amid growing scenes of destruction, a high rise apartment building in Tehran, struck.

3:04This high school severely damaged and this morning the war widening even further. Dramatic video capturing the Israeli Air Force in a dogfight with an Iranian jet, the first time that's happened for decades and a series of missile launchers being taken out. Overnight the airport in Azerbaijan struck and this church in Erbil Iraq taking a direct hit. NATO saying it intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile over Syria that was heading for Turkey. Iran denying they fired it. Explosions rocking Doha Qatar, our Marcus Moore is there. We heard a series of loud booms over the city and then saw something falling from the sky and then smoke rising in the distance and that is in the direction of Doha's international airport, the Ministry of Defense saying they've been intercepting a missile attack. Meanwhile inside Iran, one young anti-government activist in Tehran bravely speaking out. We're not naming her to protect her identity. It is very, very dangerous outside. Everybody from the regime has the gun.

4:06Most of them are very ugly and furious and they have a free will to shoot everybody. That's a sobering reminder of what it is that ordinary Iranians are having to live with at the moment. There's an internet blackout into the country so they cut off from the news. Iran saying that 20 schools, 11 hospitals have been hit by these strikes. We can't verify those numbers but we have got verified images of civilian targets being hit. Guys. Well, let's bring in Elizabeth Schultzzi tracking the economic impact of the war on Americans. And Elizabeth, many are watching the prices of the gas pumps here in this country. Yeah, we have been seeing some really notable increase in gas and that's because oil prices have been moving higher. We do see them higher today. Overall, more than 15 percent now since the start of the war. So as we look at gas prices, gas body says the national average for a gallon of gas. Now, $3.24. It's up six cents in the past day. At this time last week, prices were almost 30 cents lower below three bucks a gallon.

5:10So in total, kind of putting a dollar amount on it, gas bodies as Americans are collectively paying $98 million dollars more per day for gas. Then at this time last week, that is a notable cost for families, especially as we head into that busier spring and summer driving season. President Trump is calling this a quote, little interlude for higher prices. But analysts say that for prices to come back down, we do need to see oil decline. And that is unlikely to happen until oil starts flowing again through the strait of hormones. We are seeing even just in the last 24 hours an attack on an oil tinker there, which is making it less likely that ships would cross. They are worried about the safety of their cargo and their crews. As long as that oil is stuck, it is unlikely that we're going to see prices go down. And that means we could have a bigger impact over time on overall inflation, too, guys. And in the meantime, so many Americans are definitely going to be feeling it at the pump immediate impact there. Absolutely, Elizabeth Schultz. Thank you so much. We turn now to the Nancy Guthrie investigation and new details about the ongoing DNA analysis from the sheriff leading the case. Our chief investigative correspondent, Erica Tursky is here with more air and it's

6:12hard to believe that we are now in the fifth week of this investigation into the abduction of Nancy Guthrie Morgan well into its fifth week. And the FBI has now briefed Savannah Guthrie and her siblings about the status of the case. But as one of our sources put it, the investigators really have nothing to tell them. The 84-year-old grandmother vanished February first when she was reported missing after failing to show up at a friend's house that Sunday morning to watch a church service. A surge of tips followed her family's offer of a million dollars for information leading to their mother's recovery. But the number of tips has since subsided. Although investigators do stress they are still following potentially promising leads. There is one lead that did not pan out and that's DNA on a glove found discarded on the side of the road about two miles from Nancy Guthrie's home. The Pima County Sheriff's Department said that DNA came back to a person who works at a restaurant in the area and that person is not considered part of the investigation. Other DNA found inside the house is still being analyzed but the masked man you saw there has still not been identified. The Guthrie family is being sustained by the prayers of their

9:18O2 modern management made simple well you're back now with the GMA help alert on the popular GLP one weight loss medications new research taking a look at what may happen when you stop taking them for longer than a year Dr. Teran Rulo of course you've been breaking the sound as their chief medical correspondent so tell us about this research a lot of questions about what does happen do you bounce back do you does it take a little bit talk to me about that so many patients want to know this if I stop my GLP what's going to happen if I stop for insurance reasons or side effects I just don't want to be on them forever and so there hasn't been a lot of research in this area to date but this was a large study a review of about 48 other studies that looked at that question so if GLPs were stopped what happened one year later and they did find that weight was regained about 60% of the weight that was lost was regained at one year when they modeled with computer statistics farther out than a year weight was regained 75% of weight loss was regained so you know very interesting information I will say that some of this study a little bit difficult to interpret for a lot of people because it did kind of put together

10:21different groups diabetic patients those were over eight obese chronic kidney disease it looked at all kinds of GLPs not just ozemic or we go v in zet bound it also looked at different time frames of using them anywhere from 10 to 100 weeks so you know I think we have to interpret this with a grain of salt but definitely it is a start in the right direction of giving people some information about what happens if you come off at them yeah it's all still so brand new exactly beyond the apparent effects on weight loss that these medications have there's also been benefits in terms of cardiovascular disease reducing risk of stroke you are a cardiologist so so what do you see the benefits or the effects of these medications for heart patients yeah well we're really talking about these drugs so much more often I would say in my practice almost every single patient we're having conversations about GLPs patients who qualify who are either or have overweight or obesity and have some sort of cardiovascular disease risk factor because we have learned that they are not just helpful for the weight loss but they do reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke even chronic kidney disease heart failure and there are so many more

Tara Narula has the story of one woman who's journeyed to diagnosis actually took a few years yeah it's so hard to believe such an important story Melissa Diamond knew something was wrong from the time she was 12 years old but it took two decades and countless doctors before she got a diagnosis take a look it took Melissa Diamond 20 years to get a diagnosis

27:11of a disease that affects millions of women endometriosis I always knew that something was wrong the intense pain came early with her first period at age 12 it was the most excruciating pain that I've had in my entire life I knew that periods can be bad but I was missing school every single time I got my period endometriosis results when the type of tissue that forms the lining of the uterus grows in places it doesn't belong commonly causing pelvic pain heavy periods and fertility issues it affects one in 10 women may disrupt daily life and requires surgery to diagnose I was on the pill for 16 years and so that just seemed to be the norm I guess birth control cut most of Melissa's pain but she says it came roaring back when she stopped the pill I was told I have IBS and then I was told that I just have heavy periods and I tried acupuncture I tried everything I went to doctors I asked them what was wrong with me and they just said you should go back on the pill I never had

28:12anyone try to connect the docs for me which was the most frustrating part because they all seem to be linked together last year an emergency room doctor suggested her pain may be due to endometriosis and after finding a specialist in the disease a surgery confirmed the diagnosis he found endometriosis on a ton of my organs it was on my pelvic lining my intestines my bladder they removed 23 lesions in my body and they found lesions that were 20 years old and so it was always there Melissa says doctors need to be taught more about endometriosis in medical school encouraging women in pain to speak up even after they've been dismissed I feel like women don't know necessarily how to advocate for themselves when the person that they're supposed to trust like a doctor is telling them nothing is wrong then God I kept pursuing this but it is it makes you feel like you don't matter and Melissa's experience is far from rare more than 75 percent of patients are misdiagnosed with other conditions and on average guys it takes four to 11 years to just get the diagnosis

29:15in her case it took decades and so glad that Melissa is speaking up about this what do women need to know about this and why is it so hard to diagnose endometriosis well as you heard it's really common so 10 percent of women have endometriosis and it can go on diagnosed or misdiagnosed because the symptoms can be very varied so you can have heavy or abnormal menstrual periods that are painful abdominal pain urinary problems fatigue even infertility and so often it can either be misdiagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome something gastrointestinal a mental health condition or just women aren't believed there isn't a specific blood test or even an imaging test that really can diagnose it you require a surgical laparoscopy procedure so if you're someone who's concerned what you want to do is really keep a chart or record of your symptoms where when they're happening where they're happening how severe they're actually some apps you can download that can help you chart out what you're feeling so you can show it to your doctor to help connect those dots if you feel you're not being heard we always say advocate for yourself get a second opinion see an endometriosis specialist and you know we are seeing some advocacy groups like endo found that are raising

33:26a new race car driver yeah you were great you're great I definitely wasn't scared I'm going 75 but no it was fun it was fun you're doing that yesterday and getting scared a little bit and I was trying to act calm but I was scared myself a little bit you know streetcar going 140 is not the most comfortable thing but no it was a good time oh I had so much fun with you and let's talk about the Kansas Speedway celebrating 25 years this year hard to believe because I remember when it was being built back in 2001 what is it about this place that is so special for NASCAR fans I think the neatest thing is that twice a year we bring the 40 best drivers in the world to Kansas City Kansas and they race at Kansas Speedway yeah so cool it's as simple as that yeah and you fill all these stands up with all you know and I mean just the economic impact we've had on the region and the way it's transformed you know we're bringing the Kansas City Chiefs here oh nice yeah that's right they'll be your neighbor pretty soon in what five years we were doing that yeah about five years and Kyle let's talk more because one really famous moment that happened here at the Kansas Speedway was a race you won it was the closest in NASCAR history

34:31you won by 0.001 second that is faster than the flap of a hummingbird wings which is really insane they had to look at the photo you didn't even know you won initially no I didn't it was it was a crazy finish with Chris Bush or an eye and yeah I was just happy to be like a part of the close finish but yeah it took probably 45 seconds for them to you know go to the photo see that we hit one and it was just crazy so cool to be a part of history like that especially on the good side of it with the wind but no I love Kansas Speedway the the racing is always great here the area around here is awesome and as you guys mentioned it's only to get better yeah only gonna get better and for people who've never been here before 60,000 plus people fill these stands what is it like here just quickly tell us what it's like on race day it's just the energy that you capture it's so different to be here today when we don't have very many people but when you're here on a race weekend the cars are here the fans are here and I'd say probably above all else it's really loud it is really loud I've been here it's been years ago but I remember I had to put on the headphones thank you
