Let's go places. That's pure automotive joy. I'm Peter, the owner of Muscle Car Junior. It started as a hobby, then I started posting about it. Before I knew it, I built a business for storing muscle cars on Facebook Marketplace and the community of car lovers on Instagram.
Today, new customers send me what's that message is from all over. Not bad for a hobby. Learn how meta helps over 35 million American businesses like Peter's grow at meta.com slash community. Here we go. Welcome in. It is follow the money on decent these sports, Betty Network, Mitch Moss, along with Mike Summit today in for Paulie Howard, who is out having lunch getting some pizza. I joke because there's a massive like the biggest one of the biggest pizza expose going on in the entire country right now in Las Vegas. It would actually be a great event to go to. So that's why Paulie's off and so much is in for the next three hours. We are loaded to the gills, Jeff Ceeley, best bets Houston open coming up at the bottom of the hour. We're going to do most wins end of April, major league baseball with Chris Belm, who is a sports better, who I have known for a couple of years now. He and I go back and forth on the most wins markets in baseball and we have for a couple of years now. He's very good at this.
That's coming up in an hour from right now. Mike Paul on the show a little bit later on and then humans to basically close up shop on the sweet 16 at 630 Eastern time. Mike, good to see a man. How are you today? I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Mitch excited to be here excited to talk about everything this weekend as well. We've got an absolutely loaded weekend. Obviously the sweet 16. But I'm excited for the first pitch tonight. We get real baseball back. I love betting baseball. So looking forward to having that back in action as well. And it's not just playoff time come NBA season here. We're getting down to the last 10 or 15 games the NHL season as well. We've got a couple of playoff races that are heating up. I like someone in the Eastern conference at a nice price. We'll talk about that a little bit later as well. So looking forward to jump through everything in the sports world with you. Very good. So we'll cover the sweet 16 today as well. I'll see what you like with those games coming up tomorrow night. I want to bring this up to begin the show with all these rumors. Now swirling about the North Carolina job and the names that are out there in the old rumor mill. Mike and the number one name. We talked about this yesterday. Paulie had this was maybe Billy Donovan going back to college and getting with North Carolina.
Evidently, that's the job that Florida did not want him to leave for many, many years ago. And that's the job that. You know Orlando or Chicago did not want him to go back to college for as well. But then there's another name that came into the mix. Yesterday and it is Tommy Lloyd from Arizona who has put together very talented teams. He's got a fun style of basketball that he coaches and Arizona. And you can bet on this stuff by the way globally speaking or prediction markets. Tommy Lloyd is about 12% right now to take the job. Donovan is the short shot on the board. I guess. But Mike, let me throw some other names at you. Again, report it out there possibly, you know, in the mix North Carolina would like to talk to them. Not only Tommy Lloyd. Dusty May's name is out there. T.J. Ozzelberger. Nate Oates. Todd golden. Now they all have one thing in common outside of golden. Then that is. They're still alive in the sweet 16. So like let the narratives begin right like this is going to be a big distraction for coach X.
Like should that factor into the games at all starting tomorrow night. I don't think it factors into the games right this quickly because you've got so many names that are still out on the board. I think Donovan makes a ton of sense. As you mentioned, he'd been rumored to want to go to that job a couple of times just never really came available when he was available as well. He's other names that are still in the market that are being talked about. You're so focused on these sweet 16 games. To me, this isn't like the college football playoff or like college football where you have a week in between games and you've got multiple weeks between the final regulation game and college football season into the college football playoff. It's also not like college football where you have to essentially recruit. Well, you are going through that process. It's a very singularly focused in my mind and from a team perspective, it's a lot easier to get five guys to focus than it is to get 62 guys on a roster there in college football to be able to focus. So I don't think this necessarily affects this specific weekends games. I think you're going to have teams that still are able to play up to their potential. I don't think coaches from a basketball perspective are worried about, hey, what are the interviews going to be like for North Carolina versus what can I do right now to try and get my team through to the final for this weekend.
I do think the storyline around how attractive is this job is going to be very, very interesting because the names that you are trying to pull from current schools are schools that have NIL are schools that have facilities. It is the North Carolina name is a blue blood name still worth pulling away from a school like Arizona, which is also a very, very good school but has shown that they can consistently outperform North Carolina. You're in you're out from a talent perspective with the current structure that you have. So I'm I am fascinated to see what exactly the name North Carolina is worth. If it's not Donovan, if it is one of these college coaches, where are they willing to leave to go to that North Carolina. Totally fair point. I brought this up yesterday and I compared it to college football. Like is there any fine print that says in college basketball that Duke North Carolina Kentucky like they have to be blue buds, blood forever and they have to be like a top 10 program every single year. And the comparison would be the Indiana Hoosiers won the national title in college football. They were the worst division one team per the numbers win loss percentage in our lifetime and our father's life time like going back a hundred years, they were the worst team in division one college football basically.
They won in signati just said, I don't in two years. Here you go. Good luck challenging me. UCLA hasn't been UCLA in many, many years. Indiana. I can't even remember the last time the basketball program. We're like, okay, there are threat to win the whole thing. Was I even like in high school at that point. So I think that you're spot on with that. Like why do they have to hit a home run higher here? Why does some one of these guys have to say yes to the job because their school is right now might be able to offer them more money than Carolina can. Look, the grass is not always greener, right? We always hear the grass. Everyone thinks the grass is greener, but is it necessarily actually any better to jump the fence? I mean, and you mentioned like the blue blood and Indiana and college football being able to jump in there. Look at two of the sweet 16 teams. Look at St. John's in Houston. Two schools that that really have been able to transform that program with a head coach and NIL money, right? That's been the big difference in Houston and St. John's over the last three years is that you've gotten this influx and now both of them able to be contenders.
Houston, we saw make a run last year. St. John's is one of the buzz teams last year. Now they're both back here in the sweet 16. You don't need to be a name. You don't need to be Duke. You don't need to be North Carolina. You can be some of these other schools and be able to go out and get talent in today's current environment. If that's the case, then you have to take a long hard look, especially if you're somewhere like Arizona, where you know you are proving right now you can have success there. Do you really want to jump for North Carolina where the pressure gets ratcheted up where you're competing with Duke for recruits right there on your back door? To me, it's a it's a big time question. You got to ask yourself obviously money going to play a factor as well, but I don't think there are as big advantages in college basketball as you see in college football at the top level. Those top two programs from recruiting perspectives. Yeah, totally fair. And by the way, from a betting standpoint, like getting into these games tomorrow night and Friday. And is there a distraction? Like I doubt there's anybody in the world who has a database that said, OK, in the last 30 years in any sport, when there's a distraction out there, this is how the team does ATS or ROI.
I don't think I'm going to factor this into my handicap of these games at all in the sweet 16. I really I'm not going to. And by the way, if it would be like the ultimate told you so. Because if Tommy Lloyd eventually takes the job in North Carolina and they happen to lose Arkansas, people are going to say, oh, yeah, must have been distracted. I'm like, was it really that? Do we know for sure like that reason? You're not interviewing. You're not preparing to interview like there's a bunch of reasons why people say it's a distraction in football. And it's a distraction for the players. I don't see how this is going to be distraction for any of these head coaches when you're talking about a job that opened up two days ago. And a game that's happening tomorrow like that. The time frame just does not make sense for this to be a distraction in my mind. And again, the interviews aren't the time between games is a day or two here. We're not talking about the time between games being weeks where you have time to interview you have time to focus on other things. These coaches are going to be solely focused on getting these programs to the final four. I don't think it's it shouldn't factor into the handicap at all. I agree with that. This shows brought you by prophet X and right now you can win a free trip worth up to $10,000 during March badness with King of March use the code V sin.
MM so we are going to get to baseball throughout the show today. There is one game tonight. It's just we've never seen this before right opening night not opening day major league baseball and it's now streaming on Netflix or buddy Matt Vaskers is going to be on the call. I did now this number moves so I didn't bet it, but I would have taken Logan Web over five and a half K's against the Yankees tonight. Now six and a half. So I don't want to touch that and bank on and like there can be a big difference in these K props from one number to the next obviously last season. He had 9.7 K's per nine over 207 innings his 26.2% K rate was up from 24 20.5 22.8 and 20.7%. In the previous three years, best K rate over the second most innings of his career and the Yankees had a 23.5% K rate last season sixth and major league baseball. I would, however, look at his out prop maybe to go over 16 and a half tonight because he is an innings monster. Have you gotten involved in opening night yet Mike? I have not I kind of want to kind of want to take the under here, but I have not jumped on anything quite yet here. This should be a fun baseball game.
I'm looking forward to having baseball back like I said a little bit earlier because I do love betting it. I do find myself betting less of it early in the season though. I do want to have a few more metrics around. Okay, what are we going to see from these guys? It's also difficult for me, especially when you're looking at these first starts for pictures and your expectation isn't you're going to get seven eight innings. You're most likely going to get five six innings from these starters as you build up to your kind of full potential there as a starter couple starts into the season. And because of that, you got much more exposure to the bullpen. So for me, if I'm betting this game, I'm looking at first five when I think I'm going to get all of the starter innings here. I do don't I do like the first five under three and a half. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Probably will because I want a little bit of action because I'm going to have this game on the TV here before I think the first pitch is off. But to me, the third and fourth week of baseball, when you've been through the rotation a couple times, you're starting to see starters go a little bit deeper into games. You understand the rotation of the bullpen, who is going to come in at what innings. That's when I like to start really attacking baseball. Don't disagree. There's nothing wrong with that letting to breathe for a little while. Logan Web, by the way, for the record has pitched at least six innings or more early on in the season.
In four of his six starts over the last three years, meaning his so two starts in each season, he's pitched a grand total of those six games, six plus innings four different times. So he can go at least deep into these games to begin. I'm also we're going to do this in about an hour with Chris Bell, the most wins. It's one of my favorite markets to bet on all of major baseball. And to begin the year, circa hasn't posted yet. They're going to post tomorrow or later on in the week. They're going to post April only, but draft Kings and Caesars, they have up either like most wins in March and April or most wins by the end of April. Do you dive into that? I I like to look at it. I've yet to bet it because I did not live in a market where it is available to me. However, it's a fun way to get a big number. I know that you guys have chased some pretty big numbers here in the month long bets. It's a fascinating to look at the schedules and try and figure out where the advantages inside the schedule inside such a short time period. Up next, we're going to hit the NBA and the NHL. I felt confident in saying this was the best night in quite a few days to make this particular that the NBA, but now this.

I heart radio tune in radio or any of our great affiliates across the country. Mike Sommage in today for Paulie Howard Jeff Cele is going to join the program.
Vespets Houston open coming up in about 15 minutes. Mike. You also obviously a horse racing guy here at the network. You love betting on hockey. We touched on this yesterday with Jonathan Davis, the schedule on hockey. I just mean one game Monday night, 15 last night, two tonight. And then you come back with a hundred again tomorrow nights. It's so weird. Yeah, it's interesting that they've tried to create these big days on the weekends, which I love where you have games and started at 10 11 a.m. And they go all the way until six or seven o'clock on the west coast. And you're kind of rolling the starts so that you're able to decide which games you want to watch, but you're able to catch a little bit of all of them. However, you have nights like this, which just are completely like mind blowing to me. It's because it is because the Olympics were this year. So you essentially had a three week four week break for the all star game, which is when what usually would be there. And that's usually five days. So you're taking two to three extra weeks and you're saying we need to condense us down and still fill the schedule out in the same way. Yet you're having nights where there's one or two games. I just, to me, you want to put more of them in here. So you have less back to backs, you've less situations where you're forcing teams to play three games and four nights.
So to have like days after that, that Olympic break with one or two games is it's head scratching to me. Yeah, it's similar to the NBA with this new cup that the commissioner put in a couple of years ago now. Because of that, you get all these back to backs, like early in the season after the cup. It's like, man, this come on. At some point, just say the cup was fun while it lasted, but let's abort that whole idea. So tonight with only two cards, you do have a best bet. They'll write in hockey. Yeah, I do. I look, this is one of those teams, this Buffalo Sabers, which I want to try and back as much as I can. They have one, they had one, 12, their last 13, they lost in overtime, two and a high team last time out. Now they're heading back home after a West Coast swing and they get the Boston Bruins. This is a big game for both of these teams. I mentioned the open word. We're down to about 15 or so games left in the NHL schedule. Boston right now holding on to the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. So obviously a huge game for them Buffalo on the other side currently a two point lead in the division over Tampa Bay. And they also have a they're they're down one game. So Tampa Bay has played one less game. So essentially we can call it tied there for the division. Buffalo needs to win these games. This is a big spot for them at home to be able to try and stretch out that lead against Tampa Bay.
I trust this Buffalo offense more than almost any singular unit inside the NHL right now. It's one of the elite units. They're going to be able to score goals. And this is a Boston team that can struggle putting the puck in the net. I think Buffalo able to get it done tonight. I'm willing to lay the goal and a half here. I'll take them at plus 125 minus a goal and a half tonight against Boston at home. It's a super exciting brand of hockey. Look no further than their game on I think it's on Sunday night against Anaheim ducks wild back and forth of fair right. So were you ever a buyer throughout the regular season on the Sabers. Because I know you have a bet coming up that you're going to share to win the East right now. But did you ever think of or did you actually make a bet on Buffalo to maybe win the cup or win the East. I did not I kind of wish I did specifically the East look I think it's very interesting year inside the NHL because the Eastern Conference at the top isn't great. But the depth of the Eastern Conference is significantly better than the West. I'll take the teams at the top of the West. I'll take your your Colorado's I'll take your your dialysis. I'll take your Minnesota's I think those are your real Stanley Cup contenders.
However, the depth in the East is significantly better than that depth in the West. You could basically make a case for anyone who makes the playoffs to be able to win the Eastern Conference because there are serious flaws and almost every single one of these playoff teams in the East. I wish I had a Sabers number to win the East because I you look at the favorites right now Carolina Buffalo the Penguins the Canadians I like Buffalo by far the most of those teams. The Hurricanes have the best structure defensively but they just can't score goals and that that's going to be a big issue for them again once we get to the playoffs. So I wish I had a better number or had a number on Buffalo. I don't want them right now with the current numbers sitting there at seven to one. But at the same time they they to me are one of the more attractive teams here if I was going to take a swing they would be second or third on the list for me to take a swing with very good. So in the NBA tonight we get a bunch of games as well. Have you been doing the tanking parlay like on a daily basis or do you pass on that just because it I mean you got to put together six seven teams to get it even close to like even money usually.
I have not been playing the taking parlay now I I one of my New Year's resolutions was to stop betting the NBA in the regular season because I was not good at betting the NBA in the regular season I always like you I just it was the sport I struggled the most with we always talk about make sure you track your bets. I track my bets every year have a spreadsheet broken down by sport props totals sides the whole thing NBA consistently one of my weakest spots so I gave up the NBA but I adjusted it pre flop is now my rule I'm not going to bet the NBA before the game starts but I will bet it in game I think that's been a great way to attack these tanking teams you can find situations specifically teams like Utah which clearly you're not trying in the second half of these games where you can come in and get a better price in the pre game number with some of these teams that are the favorites and be able to come in when you know that tanking team is really going to put forth a subpar effort in the second half. Oh man we've seen some of these tanking teams get up by 10 15 almost 20 points in the first half and then okay I think it was the jazz game against the nicks recently where they had a 20 point lead if I have the wrong team there I apologize but the nicks were down by like 20 in the first half they're still favor to win the game I mean only in the NBA but tonight I have not been doing this on a daily basis either thank goodness I guess because it lost the other night but tonight I mean it looks very good on paper and here's kind of the breakdown of this because you have the lakers against the Pacers.
The problem here is that there's no Marcus Mark or Hachimura eight is questionable but it's still a 10 point number the Pacers reach the other game the other night they've snapped their 16 game losing streak a bunch of their dudes are probable tonight you get the spurs and Grizzlies the Grizzlies are 4 and 18 last 22 1 and 11 in their last 12 they've lost three straight and they've lost recent games by 39 23 25 and 16 points you get Denver against Dallas. The Mavericks are 2 and 13 in their last 15 4 and 23 in their last 27 they've lost two straight and oh by the way those games were to the Kings and the Grizzlies you have the Warriors and the Nets tonight that you could have on the parlay the Nets have lost a consecutive games they are 2 and 18 in their last 20 5 and 28 in their last 33 they lost by 35 at Portland Monday and their injury report tonight is like every place. They are on the team the way it looks and the last game would be the Blazers against the Bucks the Bucks lost by 33 at the Clippers but they did beat the Suns over the weekend on the road.
They are 3 and 10 overall in March the other two wins were over Indy and the jazz would if you put all those teams together Mike when I checked it a little bit earlier at draftings anyway it was minus one 14 it just it feels like tonight's the night almost to get involved because these right I mean. I guess you could say that every day in the NBA and it didn't win the other night. You could I mean you got the Wizards and jazz going at it as well teams that are taking together look at this does feel like a pretty safe night to go after it. This is a Bucks team that is pretty much given up everything on that front to me the one that that a lot of people would push back and say is the least interesting is that Lakers at Pacers I kind of like the Lakers at the Pacers minus the nine and a half right now in the market. It's because what we've seen offensively when you've got Luca and you've got LeBron you've got Austin Reeves all playing well all playing well together. That's been a team that is able to win by double digits consistently it's not a team that's played a overly large nonacose games it feels like they're going to be able to blow out the Pacers there so I've not been involved in this in the past but to your point it does feel like this is one of these safer nights to get involved especially since you have a couple of these teams that have been a little frisky or coming off a win that leads me to feel like they are going to kind of up their tanking levels here tonight.
Yeah, I did get involved straight on one game and it's a partial hedge based on my Charlotte Hornets division ticket that Hawks have been red hot one of the best teams in basketball for more than a month now they're at the pistons. Just don't remove a little bit earlier today but at bed MGM I was able to get up the three and a half points with Atlanta and lay 20 cents with that so I'm hoping that Detroit can win this game by one two or three points. And I can cash that ticket the Hawks would be a loser there then outright and then that would be a really good thing for those of us who are holding Charlotte to win the division. That's a pretty big numbers follow the money is brought to you by prophet X. use the code V sin M M make your first purchase and take your shot at becoming the king of March you're also a big horse racing guy. But you said to me during the break that Wednesday afternoons not typically great for this sport to bet on what are you looking for this weekend though should be a big one for everybody to pay attention to yeah. Yeah monster day over a Gulfstream Park this weekend we've got 14 races culminating in the Florida Derby i've been very high on chief wallaby if you followed V sin at the track we've talked about kind of some of these Kentucky Derby horses that we're expecting to see. And Florida Derby is going to be the best prep of the entire season here you've got chief wallaby who is in this race you've got a horse team commandment who actually beat him last time out. The horse called the Puma who won the Tampa Bay Derby last time who's going to go over and try the Florida Derby here and you also have nearly who won a local prep here who's one of the favorites as well so you have four of the top 10 choices right now in the Kentucky Derby future pools all facing off. Whoever wins this race I think should be your favorite in the Kentucky Derby we'll see if we're going to able to get that inside the market I still like chief log I think it's the best three year old we have right now.
Very good Jeff Sealey next Houston open bets off his first hour at winner last week with metrics it's Patrick and there's no Scotty now he withdrew so what do we do from a vetting standpoint. Quite the weekend coming up for those who live in the Houston area tomorrow we get the Houston open that starts and then of course that'll be a four day event tomorrow early evening you get the sweet 16 right in the middle. Astros opening day at home against the angels pretty good and we head out to the progressive guest line now as a long time friend of the show. Jeff Sealey joins the program now to talk about the Houston open you can follow him on X at cutmaker Jeff and the cutmaker podcast is going to be out next week. Hey pal thanks for the time as always we appreciate that could you shoot like even power a couple under here at this tournament. Oh guys I mean I mean this this you mean me or anybody I certainly I could not but but the duty of it is it's a public course right.
So you know we're at we're at the moral part here of one of the nicer public courses on the U.S. and you imagine tip in this thing I mean just going out to play with your buddies and you play the distance these guys play. They're playing a par 70 7400 so 7400 is kind of the barometer of a shorter long course if it's over 7400 as long it was under its short 7400 about average but when you make it a par 70 that becomes substantially longer effectively like a you know. 7600 yard course so this is going to play really long it's going to be a really fun week and I expect to see hasn't been a ton of rain so I expect to see from scoring this week and I think the winning score will be like it was last year 20 under or so. So you mentioned that winning score go ahead Mike you mentioned that winning score around 20 under or so last year. How does when you're going to a tournament where you know you're going to see low scoring where you know people are going to have a lot of birdies and you can have fluctuation in the leader board does that adjust how you're handicapping in some of these events are you not as concerned around the where the scoring is just more who fits the course best.
I mean honestly look yeah you have to make birdies right and so certainly one of the things you look at this week is birdie or better percentage and guys who make birdies there are there are a lot of guys you know I'll take a you know I'll use an example of JJ spawn and last year's US open right when you just it were even was a really good score you just had to grind it out and not make bogies. Some weeks you really look at bogie avoidance this week birdies are as important as anything because if you can't if you're just going out there making power as you're losing strokes on the field. Okay so then we as we were kind of joking in the break this is a true winner without Scotty event because he was going to be in it with Drew yesterday and early in the season you were actually kind of betting the winner without Scotty because you know before he kind of fell off a little bit you kind of feared him that he could win basically any event. Are the odds pretty much the same right now compared to those events earlier in the year when it was actually a winner without Scotty when he was playing. Yeah I think that's exactly the take right as the as the board adjusted if you bet any of these guys when Scotty was still in you certainly got a much better price that we have today and I think that's exactly right what we have today is is effectively what would the odds would have been the winner without market.
I got to say is refreshing to look at this board and see the favorite at 15 to one and the price is going up from there being able to actually play golf tournament with big numbers there that are attached to it so nice to not have Scotty around although you can also play that winner without market here so where are we going who do you like the most here when we're sitting staring at this leader board who fits this course the best what we're expecting to see this weekend. You know honestly guys I I can make a case for all of the top eight guys at the top of the the odds board I can make a case for almost any of them I'm not on San Bernard this week but I could certainly make a case for men who who won last last year this you can make a case for about any of these those guys that I bet at the very top of the board I really started with Jake nap and my primary play on Jake nap was with the top 28 plus 110 I did put a little on the outright but the only question was Jake nap is is where. This game at which is why I'm kind of taken the conservative route this week the fact is we haven't really seen good Jake nap says the Genesis which was almost two full months ago so he was on fire leading into that there was a lot of people have been been interested in playing Jake nap then he withdrew and then he was sick and there's all this kind of been this stuff and then he struggled with the players so.
Now all that said this course is an imperfectly he finished T 27 here last year which shows we know he can compete here now it's just a question of improving on that T 27 and making a run on a Sunday but I certainly like top 20 plus 110 a lot and then Nicoli Hori garg is 27 to 1 comes in 6 on approach and 7th and driving distance which is going to be a really good fit this week from just a pure model format gained off the key here last year but he did lose strokes with his irons. Something we've seen correct coming into this week is approach play has been substantially better this year than it was last year so with the depth of the top of the odds board again I'm making taking a little bit of conservative path and taking Hori guard top 20 plus 125 again I'm going to sprinkle it on the outright at the 27 to 1 as well. Okay so are we going to go directly from top of the board guys to your mid tier players before we get to the bombs and you're not even going to mention Brooks Keppga is that possible. I mean I'm taking a week off of Brooks which means he'll probably win but I mean look the forms there was interesting to me with Keppga and I have as you might imagine I have watched every hole that he has played since he's been back I haven't missed any of us every
week the irons have been are really really good every week the drivers a little better and the putters the putting is a little better but they're still not where they need to be to win him after is yet so there and with the depth of this field right now and just where Keppga's price is I'm not going to play him this week yet because that mean I won't have him and if he you bet if he's in contention on a sunday I'm going to have some shares of him but you know pre flop I'm not going to take him just because the driver has been a little bit inconsistent as the putting but if we see good putting on on Thursday and Friday I can guarantee I'm going to be on I'm going into the weekend. All right so we're looking at nap and Nikolai Hoigard toward the top of the leaderboard Mitch mentioned at the middle pack who are we looking at here 30 plus to 1 to possibly win this tournament. Yeah guys so Ranger Art was at the top of the Asboard a few months ago and now we get him at a much more reasonable price in this 36 to 1 range.
I really like his top 20 plus 144 so and it ties tight full market he doesn't bomb it off the tee but his ball striking is very strong. Having gained on approach in seven of his last eight events was absolutely on fire in January guys when he had back to back runner up finishes and then a T11 and since then he's cooled off a little because of that the price has come down. I look for jar to get back and form this week and at least finish inside the top 20 to I had bet the 144. 48 to 1 seems like a great price on windom Clark gained across the board here last year and route to a fifth place finish. This year he comes in having gained strokes ball striking in five straight events. So I really like that that play and you know this troubles with windom has been his putter and he's really struggling with his putter lately. But he did gain over stroke putting here last year so maybe he can find some form on the greens getting styled in again. I played him primarily top 20 plus 150 but I'm going to have a little bit on the 48 to 1 and then guys don't look now.
But Tony Fee now is 66 to 1 this week is playing some good golf and over the last five years he is the number one in strokes gained in the state of Texas. He plays really well in Texas has finished third excuse me has three top 20s this year already and it's clearly very comfortable playing in Texas. So what is putting hasn't been great it hasn't been awful and so getting him at over two to one top 20 feels like a really good price on a guy who already has three top 20s this year. Again, we're in Texas where he's comfortable in 66 to 1. I think it's a really good outright to throw some piece of money on Tony Fee now this week. Yeah, you might be able to get plus money on him to finish top 30 top 40 in that range as well as that big of numbers out there on him. Okay, let's go to the bottom of the week Jeff. Who are you looking at here? Guys, my guy yellow Majority 94 to 1 has been nothing but played good golf in the last six weeks. If he plays well again this week, we're not going to see him north at 90 again this top 20 price is this better than three $3 extremely appealing. And the last three months he's 10th on approach and third and good drive driving percentage in this field.
He is playing phenomenal golf key 13th Sony key 17th cognizant key 37 and Puerto Rico and then just finished key five at the players. Get on board now guys get on my guy now. I do not think we're going to see him this price for the rest of the year. Play him top 40 top bladder this guy 40 30 20 10 and a little on the outright. I think this is our last chance to buy low on this guy. Very good follow Jeff on X at cutmaker Jeff and the cutmaker podcast is going to return next week. He joined us here on the progress of guest line. By the way, tip of the cap. Nice job on Fitzpatrick to get on the outright board last week and go get him again this week, buddy. Thanks. I'll take care. Yeah, be good. There you go. Jeff Cele. This part of the show brought you by sharp plays founded in 2011. Like as soon as the event is done in a couple of weeks, I'll have them up for next year. So typically when the event comes around, I have like 10 to 12 guys. I'm like, God, this is done. I do it every single year. I met six and that six guys and I don't think I'm going to add anymore. So I can take that. I can take six guys on the outright to win the masters. And up next. I want to run down the teams that have been the most profitable in major league baseball over the last five years. There's a common theme here. It might want to dive in on this as well coming up. So one intriguing thing to me anyway is baseball is underway tonight. Mitch Moss along with Mike. So much was in for Paulie Howard today. It's followed the money on V-Send. These sports betting network. I went back and looked and I used the last five years because the pandemic year and major league baseball. We only like 60 games. So not much of a sample size. I just took it from there. But over the last five years. I wanted to look at the most profitable teams to bet on. Mike. From opening day all the way through the end of the season. I will point out like. Basically nobody's going to do this unless you're a fan of the team. And you just want to have some action on them throughout the season, you know, every single day of the year. But nobody really is going to do this. However, there's an angle out here where you're going to notice something that these teams basically have a lot in common.
That if you notice it right away, you might be able to hop on and ride that train for a long time. Last year, the biggest money making team in major league baseball was Miami. And if you bet them every single day of the year, you won between like 21 and 22 units. The second most profitable team last year was Milwaukee. You won 20 units there and the guardians were also on the list. I'll go back a couple more years here, Mike. I know that you want to chime in here with a couple of teams that you're going to have your eyes on at the beginning of the year. In 2024 brewers again, most profitable team in baseball. The Padres were number two in the guardians were number three. If you go back 2023, the Orioles made 33 units. The nationals 21 and look at Milwaukee yet again, almost 17 units betting them for the full season in 2022. It was Baltimore yet again over 28 units, the guardians, almost 18 units. And the year before that in 2021, it was the Giants up almost 36 units and the Mariners up almost 35 units followed by the Tigers.
And the race now the Giants are a major market team. But other than that and Seattle's pretty big as well, you look at these teams on the list. Miami, they look to have a fire sale almost every single year. The brewers they trade some of their best players on an annual basis yet they still compete. The guardians are an afterthought almost every single year like no way they're going to win 80 plus games and they do. The Orioles did it when they were down in the dumps, one of the worst teams in baseball for, you know, three year stretch. It's never any of the Yankees Dodgers Red Sox. Those teams are not on the list. They're laying too big of prices. So I think you can maybe find a dog or two to latch on to. If you think it can be a full season thing, Mike, and ride that out for a long time and probably make money again this year. Yeah, that is the number one thing that jumped out to me. No Yankees, no Red Sox, no Braves, no Dodgers, right. It's teams that are either like last year. I think they've very good example. The Marlins everyone hated them.
Everyone hated them. So you got a big time plus number on them every single game. They don't need to win that many baseball games to have success. The brewers they were 97 win team that came in with around an 82 win total, which means that they wildly overexceeded. But they were a lot of minus 110 games. They weren't going to be minus 200 minus 220 minus 250 all that often. I think you got to look at teams that are going to be dogs quite a bit. If you're trying to find these teams are going to be long term profitable. And the first one that jumps out to me honestly is Miami. This is another team this year where look, the win total is incredibly low. You're going to have them as dogs and the majority of their games. And good luck at trying to price them properly. Because this is a team that is stacked with 22 to 26 year olds. One of the youngest teams in baseball on the hitting side that you're going to have to figure out. Hey, what days they're going to hit? What days they aren't? You're going to have days and stretches of the year where Miami is able to play very good baseball. You're going to have stretches of the year where they stink. If you find them to start playing well, I think they're a team that makes a lot of sense.
And especially up top when you got out control, it was a little bit better toward the end of last year coming off the injury. And you've got you, Perez, who pitched very well for this Miami team. You at least have a couple of stoppers at the top of the lineup as well. Where look, if you're getting Perez at a plus 150 price, that's almost an auto fire to me. Because I do think that this lineup has some sneaky upside. And the same goes for the, and this one's this one's a hold your nose team. Same goes for the Chicago white socks, who's win totals at 67 and a half. I think it's too low. I think that that division is not as good as a lot of people think that division is. I think the Tigers are very good, but the rest of it, I can poke some holes in. And they've got a bunch of not a huge upside hitters, but a bunch of hitters that I do think can make contact and be able to produce some runs for a white socks team that everyone is wildly low on. So if you're looking for these teams preseason, they have an opportunity to be the, you know, the highest per profit team per $100 bet. I think you have to look at dogs and I think Miami and the white socks are two of the ones you have to take a long hard look at. Another thing with the Marlins as well.
I like Pete Fairbanks the closer as long as he stays healthy. He's he's a reliable guy, right? Because that's a big part of handicapping baseball and a daily basis anyway is like which bullpen's do I trust? Because how many times are you going to go out there? A team's got a six four lead the eighth. And look at this stand up losing, you know, nine to six or goes to extra innings and a couple guys get blown up. Like that's a guy that I think can come into most like two one games five four games or whatever. And you can rely on him. A whopping percentage of the time to say, all right, man, go close the door. Take care of us. We're going to get out of here with the win. So I think that's a pretty big deal for them as well. And you're right. I mean, I like the top of that rotation, including Perez, who is like one of the still. I mean, it seems like he's been now in the majors for much longer than he has. He's 22 freaking years old. That's it. And he feels like he's been like one of the best prospects for like four years now. But if he can stay healthy, I think it's going to pop for that guy at some point and they could be this year. Yeah, I don't like this is this is like I have a pizza money bet at the Marlins to win the division at forty to one. I'm not saying go crazy with it. But to me, there's enough holes in the rest of that division.
Philly's a little bit old. We've seen the injury issues on the Atlanta side. I do think the Mets are the rightful favorite. But let's say that that Miami starts out hot. And I can then buy in on the other side of the Mets. I end up with the two of them when Miami at a monster price. I don't mind that situation at all, especially when you're talking a forty to one price to win a five team division. I just look. There's upside with these bats and the age part of this is the big question mark. Again, everybody, everyone who's going to be in that line is basically between 22 and 26. You don't know how they're going to respond. You know, there's going to be streaks where they're not going to be able to hit the baseball. But when they are hitting it, I think the rest of this team fits. You mentioned fair banks. I think he's a nice piece on the closing side. I also, again, as you can tell by the forty to one, I don't think that you're just going to assume it's going to be all roses and chocolates for Atlanta. And for Philly, this entire year, I think that they're going to be two teams that you can upset. And that you can get Miami at plus 240 plus 250 on in certain spots against those two teams where, yeah, I don't mind having that bet.
And that's why I do think they're one of those teams that can be profitable. Another one, I think that fits this list is the athletics, specifically when they're at home, they've got the bats to put up runs. The pitching staff isn't great, but give me variance when we're talking about teams that could be profitable over the entire season when you're betting the money line. I want situations where crazy things can happen. And when you have an offense like the athletics at home, you're introducing variance. You're introducing the opportunity to pull off a big upset because the bats can get hot. I like it. It's good. I'm glad you brought that up because that is something that I'm going to absolutely track with Miami right away. And I will point out. So a team that I rattled off there three years in a row, one of the most profitable and all baseball. I think the brewers going to be damn good again this year. I really do. I mean, they have an unbelievable manager. Their bullpen's going to be great yet again. And yeah, there's no more Freddie Peralta, but I mean, don't we see this every single year with the team? They lose somebody either out of the rotation, a key player in the lineup. And it's like, it doesn't matter. Here's 95 more wins. The brewers and the guardians showing up on that list every single year, almost every single year.
There's a lot of similarities. They're just not sexy. They don't have the like superstar pitcher. They don't have the superstar bats. They're not major cities. They both have offensive struggles at times like that. There are a lot of parallels that you can draw between those two teams, but they win games every single year. And that the market is underpricing them. And that's why they're consistently on this list. Yeah, I would not look at the brewers or the guardians to win their leagues, nor would I look at them to win the World Series. I think it would just be more about betting them throughout the year. And maybe if you want to look at a playoff bet or the brewers, I still think because, look, Ladolo hit the IEL for the reds yesterday. Ladolo green always being up. I want to like the reds. Unbelievable. All right, it is. I can't trust the rotation. And then like the pirates are so much team on the pirates. I hope they're good. It's been a long time. But I still have the brewers ahead of them. I followed money brought to you by Profit X. And if you're not on Profit X yet, it's the time to get involved right now. Is it just easily going to be the Rockies or do they have some competition? I think the twins are going to stink too. I think the twins are going to be really, really bad. So to me, it would be between the twins and the Rockies for worst. I'll take a little bit of the upside. I'll go twins. I think the twins are going to be the worst in that division as I like the white socks a little bit. I think the twins are going to be awful this season. What about you? I think the nationals are going to be pretty bad. Their rotation is kind of disgusting. I know that's been kind of a common pick. And I can't remember the last time I'm from the Midwest.
So, you know, being close to like the St. Louis team or that division anyway. I can't remember the Cardinals ever being this bad entry. I don't think they ever have been in my lifetime. It's Cardinals baseball, right? We heard that time and time against like the heat basketball thing where you just expect them to be good. They're going to figure it out. They are finally hitting the full reset button this year. They're finally saying, okay, we got to rebuild this thing from the ground up because we just cannot kind of sustain this and compete for a division year in and year out. Yep.
