The most serious alerts where flooding is expected hit residential streets and kegworth fields along the River Sore near Silaby and Mount Surrell and a few homes around Zeus Road by Hathorne. All streets off station road and kegworth face the highest risk including Mill Lane, Bridge Fields and New Street. Areas to the north like parts of Long Lane and Hoyt Drive are also included. Meanwhile, lighter flood alerts cover low-lying spots elsewhere in the county. Residents in places like Barrow, Upon Sore, Melton, Cysten, Barkby, Blayby and Glenfield just they cautious too. Flooding already caused problems at the Morrison Silver Market in Glenfield last weekend, disrupting shoppers and local traffic. The Environment Agency is monitoring river levels closely.
