Is that a baguette in your pants? Or are you happy to see me? I mean, the Napoleon myth is probably my favorite one. And it's the most far-fetched. Bonjour Emily. Bonjour Caroline. We're the Fishwives of Paris, and this is the podcast where we tell you the true stories behind French food and culture, party facts that are always more interesting than the myth. This week we're chatting cheese again, but this time it's when you've definitely never heard of, and it has gone viral on French TikTok. It also looks like Snot. It does look like Snot. Fishwives, right, were loud. We are unapologetic about our opinions. Fishwives, I just love the idea of reclaiming what is sort of an archaic Shakespearean insult. You are Emily Monaco. Emily is an international cheese judge and a culinary journalist who's been published across the board in many different publications, including the BBC and the Michelin Guide. You are actually French. Thank you for that introduction, Caroline. And Caroline Fizzelli, Nay Conner, is of course our resident wine expert and the owner of Leon Wine Tastings,

as well as a trained chef who got her degree from the Caldanglif. It's our job to basically party poop. We're party pooping the poopy party of fake news when it comes to food wine. Yeah, and we're about to poop in the biggest party food that France makes. We're going to poop on shit, babe. Definitely. This looks a little different. Yeah, it does. I think this whole year is going to look a little bit different. We need to tell more stories, so we are going to be moving to a weekly cadence starting in September. This is really exciting. Our guests have been awesome. Band, have to guess it far. And so we're really excited to have you on the podcast today because as the fishwives, we love to debunk the myths and legends around French food. Always Napoleon. It's always Napoleon. There's always Napoleon. I'm going to get the baker to bake a loaf of bread so slender that they can slip it down the leg of their pants. This is stupid as the guy I've ever heard.

How could you march with a baguette in your pants? Nobody wants crumbs in their pants and I'm pretty sure it would bend. I mean, French people aren't that tall. See you next week on Fishwives of Paris. Au revoir.
