Community Recreation Program Coordinator, Caitlin Lynnahan said, it lets people warm up inside without cutting the day short. Activities included ice skating, disc golf, a visit from a retired sled dog, and hands-on stuff from the Fairbanks Children's Museum. The theme was a tropical beach party, complete with lays, free hot chocolate, and hot tang drinks. Local showed up in droves, with about 100 people there by noon, and estimates for up to 800 by the end of the day.
