A Catholic Take — Escalation of the UNJUST Global War? (Audio). Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Go into the world and tell every man that you meet. There is a man on the cross. A Catholic take. What you need to know right now. A bold synthesis of inspiration and information. Keeping you up to date on the news and issues from a courageous Catholic perspective. A Catholic take with Joe McLean starts now. Praise be to Jesus Christ. Welcome back to a Catholic take a bold synthesis of information and inspiration of your host Joe McLean. Praise be to God. It's good to be on with you this afternoon. An escalation of an unjust global war. This is a question that I think many people are asking today. I mean, especially as we have four dollars per gallon national average in the United States. How are you loving that? Living in California, it could be like twice as bad.
But I guess even here in Texas, four dollars a gallon is pretty steep. Okay, well, then there's France that are cutting off American war planes from its space and they're cutting off the relationships with their, you know, defense weapons, contracts with the state of Israel. So as Italy, by the way, they don't want anything to do with this. Germany wants American troops kicked out. It's starting to unravel all across the board. Donald Trump tells them, go get your own oil. You don't like the straight or her moves thingy dingy. All of this while we're seeing 33% approval rating for Donald Trump in a new poll coming out of Massachusetts. Amherst University there. Now I know what you're thinking, but Joe Massachusetts, of course, they hate him anyway. They're very liberal. The very left of center. That is true. I'm not going to lie. But this time last year, the approval, the approval rating was higher than it is right now out of the same university. Also, Kenypiac has, has it like 38% Fox News is at 41%. Things aren't looking good.
And we're going to have a conversation because as we get to the midterms, you can see that pendulum swing hard in the opposite direction. We're not going to be talking about illegal immigrants anymore. We won't be talking about, you know, high interest and the cost of housing, for instance, none of those conversations are going to be had. If things go really bad, we're going to have a conversation about that with Steve Cunningham, the guy behind Census Fadalium, also a political news junkie like myself on a 14 past the hour. Also, we're going to dive back into our second part of the series on a deeper dive into Palm Sunday. They hidden secrets, the things that you don't really hear in the homily at the parish. Jesus is not just the new high priest. It is much bigger than that. He's not just the king. It is much bigger than that. Yesterday, we talked about the corruption of the priesthood that was now being replaced with the apostles. Today, we're diving even deeper at 30 past the hour. Do you join us for that if you can?
Here's some good news for the first time in history of Christianity. We've topped 1.422 billion Catholics around the world with growth, not just in African Asia, but here in the United States. In fact, even New York Times is talking about the gangbusters, crowds right now coming up this holy week. This is good news indeed. Praise be to God. Let us pray that a deep conversion is had by all. Let's pray. And the name of the father of the son of the Holy Ghost, Amen. Remember, almost gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy helper, sought thine intercession was left unated. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, a virgin of virgin's, my mother, to thee do I come before thee, I stand sinful and sorrowful, a mother of the word incarnate despised not my petitions. But in thy mercy here, and answer me, Amen. And the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost, and now your sanct of the day.
Holy Amos the prophet, pray for us. Amos was a simple herdsman and a farmer of sycamorphigs, living south of Jerusalem in the southern kingdom of Judah. About seven and a half centuries before the birth of Christ, God called upon Amos, saying, Go, prophesied to my people Israel. Amos was sent to the northern kingdom of Israel, a prosperous realm that carried out the proper religious ceremonies with great outward plump, but weak inner devotion. The kingdom's prosperity led to decadent and indulgent behavior by the Israelites, and even to syncretism, due to their regular business dealings and other such interactions with pagans. Amos preached strongly against the wickedness of both kingdoms, but especially that of Israel, emphasizing their decadence, their interior infidelity, and their assumption that going through the motions of religious observance would cover up unrepented sin. The prophecies included both a warning of coming chastisement and a promise of God's restoration of the house updated.
Amos was eventually tortured by the idolatrous priest Amesias before being struck down by the priest's son Ozzias. Mortally wounded, he was carried back to his native land and buried with his ancestors. Amos is the third of the twelve minor prophets in the Old Testament. Ground news reports the US Supreme Court backs the challenge to Colorado's ban on LGBT conversion therapy. The Supreme Court ruled A to 1 that Colorado's ban on conversion therapy violates the First Amendment free speech rights of therapists. With more than twenty states maintaining similar laws, the decision carries broad, national implications, praise be to Jesus, that's good news. Daily Mail reports the bullet used to kill Charlie Kirk did not match the rifle allegedly used by Tyler Robinson.
Defense attorneys for the suspected Charlie Kirk killer Tyler Robinson in a bombshell new court filing states that the bureau of alcohol tobacco firearms and explosives was unable to identify the bullet and match it from the autopsy to the rifle tied to Mr. Robinson. Tyler Robinson is facing capital murder charges and a potential death sentence for Kirk's murder at Utah Valley University on September the 10th. And zeal reports Christians suffer in many regions as Holy Week arrives. Violence and sectarian pressure targeting Christian communities across Africa and the Middle East have continued in the days leading up to the Holy Week. Deadly attacks in Nigeria on Palm Sunday, a sectarian rampage in Syria ongoing settler incursions in the West Bank by Israelis and continued displacement of Christians in Lebanon to name just a few. Keep them in your prayers and those those are your headlines. The Gospel today comes to us from the Novus sort of me say John chapter 13 verses 21 through 38.
At that time when Jesus had said these things, he was troubled in spirit and he testified and said, Amen, amen I say to you. One of you shall betray me disciples therefore looked one upon another doubting of whom he spoke. Now there was leaning on Jesus's bosom one of the disciples whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore back into two hidden and said to him, who is it of whom he speaketh? He therefore leaning upon the breast of Jesus, sayeth to him, Lord, who is it and Jesus answered? He it is to whom I shall reach bread dipped and when he adept the bread he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the morsel Satan entered into him and Jesus said to him, that which thou dost do quickly.
Now no man at the table knew to what purpose he said this unto him or some thought because Judas had the purse, that Jesus said to him, by those things which we have need for the festival day or that he should give something to the poor. He therefore having received the morsel went out immediately and it was night. When he therefore was gone out, Jesus said, now is the son of man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God be glorified in him, God also will glorify him in himself and immediately he will glorify him. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me and as I said to the Jews, whether I go you cannot come. So I say to you now, Simon Peter said to him, Lord, wither go ast thou and Jesus answered, whether I go thou canst not follow me now, thou shalt follow me hereafter.
Peter sayeth to him, why can I not follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee. In Jesus' answer to him, will thou lay down thy life for me? Amen. Amen, I say to thee, the cock shall not crow till thou deny me thrice, the gospel of the Lord. Laus, TV Christie. Cornelius Alapide would say this emotion then was an immense grief and indignation at the crime of Judas. Christ was pained in the innermost feelings of the soul and groaned in spirit for the enormity of this crime as well as for the tradition of Judas. And this sorrow he did not suffer involuntarily, but admitted it of his own free will and took it upon him at this point of his own accord as he did at the death of Lazarus. Father Machibli would say Satan entered into him, already had Judas yielded to the suggestions and temptations of the devil.
But now the fiend takes full possession of him, rending him utterly reprobate, driving him on recklessly to destruction. Judas now becomes a tool in his hands to perpetrate the greatest crime, the betrayal of his divine master and benefactor. The communication between our Lord and Saint John relative to this horrid treason of Judas was conducted in an undertone unperceived by others. Now our Lord in an audible tone addresses Judas, that which thou dost do quickly. The love which Saint Peter bore our Savior says Father Hadoch was exceedingly tender. But it was not yet sufficiently strong, says Saint Bernard. Jesus therefore asks him, Will thou lay down thy life for me? Do you think you yourselves have sufficiently strong or strong enough to perform this heroic act for love of me?
So far are you from exposing your life for me that you will shortly deny me. But the day does come when Saint Peter will in fact give himself over to death, upside down on the crucifix, because he was unworthy to die in the same manner as Arce will be back in Superman. Praise be to Jesus Christ. Welcome back to a Catholic take a bold synthesis of information and inspiration. I'm your host, John McLean. Praise be to God. It's good to be on with you coming up at 30 past the hour. We're going to go a blast to the past part two. We're going back 14 years back when I was much younger, obviously good looking. I mean, look at that guy. He's just smooth skinned. No gray hair. But back in 2012, I gave a two part series on a deeper dive of Palm Sunday.
Jesus is triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the hidden secrets, the gems that you need that you never ever hear. It's going to be worth your time. That's coming up at 30 past the hour. But today, before we get to there, we need to talk about the gift that keeps on given. Donald Trump's second term in office apparently. And the endless wars that we voted for three times, or at least I did, I don't know about you. Clearly, I voted for $4 a gallon of the gas pump national average here to also complain about this with me is my good friend Steve Cuttingan from Census Fidelium Census Fidelium.com linked to it in the show notes. But Steve, good afternoon, Steve. I'm going to need some oxa toast. And I need some like dope. I mean, give me something of good news because $4 a gallon and endless foreign wars wasn't on the agenda when we elected him. I did save money by switching the guyco. Yeah, it was good talking to you, Steve. Great, great interview buddy. I mean, like, really, come what you've got. Now, tell me this is all going to come to. We're not going to go to a global third world war. Are we as Russia seems to think we are? You should give you something good. I mean, outside of that, I mean, because of Peter against Yukon and Duke was pretty cool.
I mean, it's pretty dark out there. Yeah, I mean, $4 a gallon, maybe in a month, we're going to be wishing for $4 a gallon. This would be the good old days. This might be this the new new new normal, I mean, COVID 2.0 is going pretty hard right now. I mean, it's good to see other people finally calling that saying it's COVID 2.0 and the lockdown 2.0 going on right now with the Philippines. And I was at the EU just said they're going to work for homes. There's about five countries doing work for homes right now. A lot of stuff that you see is exact stuff that was going on in 2020, 2021. It's happening in record time again. And it's just better weeks before it starts happening in the States. I mean, you already see some cities talking about doing shutdowns at night. I mean, which is a good thing. I mean, New York City don't need to be up 24 or seven. That's kind of weird, but still that's pretty significant for what's going on right now. Well, you know, on Palm Sunday, with the news that we talked about this yesterday on the show,
but with Carla Devala being locked out, the streets of Jerusalem eerily reminded us of 2020 all quiet on Palm Sunday of all days. Man, it was the Prismac so many weird memories of looking at the TV and seeing that, you know, nobody's dead, but we're closing the state down. What's going, what is this? And everyone's losing their minds and you feel like you're the only person that's not in crazy town or the twilight zone. And it's happening again. It's different. Let me get Donald Trump. Let me, let me put Donald Trump on the table here because this new poll I'm linking to it. It's from the hill, but it's the mass university mass chooses to name hers. They don't like him anyway. We know this, but they're at 33% approval rating. A year ago, they were at 38% in the same poll. Kinepiacs got him at 38% Fox only has 41% approval rating. Like he's got to know that his base did not vote for this.
They didn't vote for the foreign wars. They didn't vote for $4 a gallon. They didn't vote for another lockdown. They didn't vote for this insanity. We're not talking about cleaning up bad immigration policy, getting rid of kernels and illegals. We're not talking about intra high interest rates or affordable housing. We're not talking about any of those things right now. All we're doing is this endless foreign war nonsense. Jeff Smith has a good piece out. He posted the other day and called it. It wasn't on the Chris in the Christian Libertarian website. And he mentions about how when you're in your edge candidate, you promise X to these guys. You're in another city. You promise Y to these people. You're in another city. You promise Z to these people. When you get an office, you don't care about those people anymore. You care about the donors that got you in. The people that gave you the money. The people that are popping you up. You do not care about those. That's why he's not a local guy. He's not. He thinks he's dead. All those guys, they're elected. You had to know King's thing again this weekend.
The problem with those news, King's guys, those guys would be fine with a king of their flavor. All the modern presidents are elected monarchs. We see how they act. No matter if it's a D or an R, they all act this way. But yeah, Jeb, I thought Jeb was right on point on that. It's, you promise these people and they all go, oh, he's for us. He's for us. He's for us. He gets in there and not do anything. He said, and you're like, what happened? Well, he wasn't going to do it anyway. He was just blowing smoke up. Yeah, it's a great sales pitch to get elected. The real thing comes from, all right, we got you an office. Now it's time to pay up, pay the piper. You got Mary Madison, a gate for more money than Joe Blow down the street by exponentially more money. Where's she? What? She wants the greater Israel project? What are we? What is he doing right from day? It was in the Gaza. So all this, it doesn't matter what we think that he does not care about that. He just got the airport in West Palm Beach named after. He doesn't care because we have, because prior, he got the priorities, okay?
TSA comes after this, all right, right after this. I'm sure. Let me airport first. Pay TSA guys later. Hey, I know he, I know he signed the executive order to get him paid because Congress refused. How Congress is allowed to go on a vacation? How Congress draws a paycheck whatsoever when federal employees aren't getting paid for more than a month is beyond my understanding. It literally is. But what happens come midterm, Steve? If that pendulum swings hard to the left and they get a control of Congress, does Donald Trump get impeached? Should, shouldn't have done already. The impeachment thing doesn't mean anything anymore. It's like you, it's probably like you blocked me or you blocking somebody on Twitter. It's a, you know, you block somebody. Okay, that's it. Great. You can still see the other person, all this. There's pretty much one impeachment as it was. It's just kind of like a formality. He should have been impeached. Everybody should have been impeached. I mean, that's not, this is not just the Trump thing.
Brandon should have been impeached. Obama, Bush, Papy Bush, Clinton. Go back down to Washington. They all probably had did something that disobeyed the oath of office. That constant. Yeah. What happened midterm? I'm sure it'll just be like every other year. The pendulum will swing this way. They'll put these guys in. And they'll run on that for a 2028. Give something fancy or JD feel will run on something like that for that for 2028. And then they'll blame that. Oh, we can't get anything down because you got Democrats in. Not like they're just playing that game the whole time. It's like a long ago when they said that the GOP ran all three houses. And they couldn't get a pro-life bill throw pushed in. And then they blame the Democrats for waiting. You had everyone in. This, you know, a decade ago, whatever. So it's just, it's just the, it's like WWF. It's, you know, you see the new world order? No pun intended. In Hulkomanian and all of a sudden, they're not in power anymore. And then get switched back to these guys are in power again. Which, are you saying McMan is in charge of the country?
Is he the, is he the wizard behind there? The curtain here as well? That's who's whispering. It's his trumps here. What happens? What happens? We're talking about putting troops now in. 50,000 troops massing in the region. I hear that there's yet another aircraft carrier battle group headed, you know, steaming towards the Middle East again. I think it's the George Bush, if I remember. I forget now exactly. I've lost track of how many carriers we said to the Middle East anymore. So troops on the ground, be at the same time. I think, I think Donald Trump realizes that this is not going the way he wanted it to. And he needs to find an exit ramp here. There was scuttle butt that he's told AIDS. He's willing to just walk away from it all and forget about the Hormuz straight. But at the end, if the, if I, if the hardcore regime in Iran is still in charge, they basically win. All they have to do is survive to win this thing. They don't have to dominate the United States or Israel. They just got to survive the day.
The music has to stop. They have a chair to sit in. And China, after this, if that's the way it goes down, China will demand that all petroleum energy is exchanged in their currency. Not ours. What does that do to our future? Integrated reset, grand the watch in real life. I mean, I mean, we said that all of this at the beginning. I mean, the no troops in the ground, two weeks, the land, the curve, all that. And we in the second, eighth week of this. Everyone, Ray Charles saw this coming. And then you got Trump saying that we won. How many times now is it? 15 times is like the groundhog they mean. And then the next hour later, or something more, troops are like, what? I thought we won. And will you send these troops in on two? Who means? You send in the die? It's, it's, it's, I don't, yeah. It's really, it's almost like he's mad right now. I thought it was a Colonel McGregor mentioned this on the judge show this morning. This is a mad man we're about right now.
He's like flapping, trying to figure out what's going on. And he should pull everyone out. Take the humility and say, hey, I screwed up a lot. We, we, we didn't win this. We lost this one. I messed up. And that's not going to happen. I mean, the, the straight was open beforehand. Now the straights couldn't, now the straights closed. Ryan and Ryan wasn't even thinking about getting a nuke. Now they're going to get a nuke, probably. Uh, yeah, the petrol dollar is going to be gone. And it's the, the reset is literally happening in real time under this. And sometimes you wonder is I ran in on it because they were all for the digital ID. They're all for the digital currency. They're all for everything that Rhona was doing back in that. They were just like this back in those days. So it's almost like, hey, a team that people will die in these situations. But what, what's the end game on this? It's, I mean, you see everything going to the way of EV sales are up all over China. And the book, uh, great reset.
It has pins US versus China. Who comes out on top? Um, and in the AI and the, uh, the, uh, the infrastructure with water and all this going on. You're, there's a lot of head scratch going on. There's something else to this besides, you know, not the war between Israel and through. It is the major players, but there's something else going on involved in this. If, if this doesn't end well for Donald Trump, the United States, and I suppose Israel too, if it doesn't end the way they would like it to end, and we just sort of walk away. And as I said, the IRGC is still in charge of things. And you're, you're Russia, you're China. I don't know how you don't sit back and say, oh, I thought, I thought the United States was a superpower that couldn't be defeated, but it looks like they can be, as we've seen, they just have to be weighted out just like in Afghanistan, just like in other places, right? Yeah, I mean, again, that's what they were saying about with Iran that Iran, all they had to do is sit back and just wait out the bombs and, uh, they'll be okay.
Because there's how many, how much money was being wasted by the US and the, uh, the missiles versus Iran using just $20 or, $200 drones, wherever they were just popping them out left and right, whereas we have to use $20 million missiles. And then we just spent, well, it was a $200 million, a $200 billion more. We were, we were complaining about Brandon giving away so much money you crained for the war. And then, yeah, two weeks, we spent more than that. And those same people arguing, didn't say anything about that from the Ukraine. Again, that's why Trump was put in because of situations like this. But yeah, you see, and then when I, when I keep saying about this, the, the reset part, see all these airports going in, we're closing down, we're, we're shutting down some flights, we're closing, we're thinking about closing down airports. There's a document called absolute zero. I've been posting for years now. It literally says that from 2020, 2020 to 2020, uh, 2030. This is for England. We're closing down to three airports, 2030 to 2050.
Nine, materializer, same deal, uh, all these materials, rubber, uh, plastics, same idea, car, same idea, trades, all this stuff. It's Dave. It's, I wanted you to have good news. I asked you for one thing. Give me some good news. Just good news instead of black pill totally in this. I'm just teasing you. It's not your fault. I'm so glad you're on the tee. Thanks for doing it. SensesFedalium.com, check them out, put a link to it. SensesFedalium.com. But coming up after the break, we're going to go into a blast from the past. We're going to dive deep into home Sunday, part two, two minutes from now. Don't go anywhere. Praise be to Jesus Christ. Welcome back to a Catholic take a bold synthesis of information and inspiration of your host, Joe McLean, praise be to God. It's good to be on with you. Don't forget at the top of the hour, we're going to go into the live after show
where you get to conversate and be a part of that, you know, uh, whatever your take is, whatever your opinion is, you get to share that on the live video stream. Just go to the station of the cross.com forward slash ACT. You'll see the watch the live stream there. You see the show notes there as well. And we're going to link to the pilgrimage to Spain and Portugal. I'm going along with Father Jal Silvera and Luis Ramon. It's going to be November the night through the 21st. Our Lady of Pilar, a by location, not even an apparition. Our Lady Fatima, our Lady Guadalupe, all that plus so much more in Spain and in Portugal. This November, that'll all be linked at the station of the cross.com forward slash ACT. But let's take a blast to the past. This is part two of a two part series that I gave on my radio show back in 2012. I know that was like 14 years of ever ago, back when I was obviously young and good looking. But nonetheless, this is a kind of deep dive into Palm Sunday. It's, it really does pull out a lot of great details that you're just not going to hear in your average homily.
And I think it's worth, worth spending some time on this week as we prepare for the passion, death and resurrection of our Savior. So today is part two. Yesterday was part one, sit back, relax and enjoy. As we take up the triumphal entry of our Lord Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem, part two. Last week, we started this discussion looking at Jesus in the light of the new King Solomon, bringing with him a new priesthood, getting rid of the corrupt priesthood in the temple, and bringing about the correct priesthood, the priesthood of the first born. But now we're going to bring about the connection to the Feast of Tabernacles. We're also, hopefully, if time permits, get into all the beautiful prophecy that's being fulfilled in Jesus Christ from the book of Zacharias, specifically chapters nine through 14. So we have a lot of ground to cover. Let's get started. Okay, we're going to recap Palm Sunday, the passage from St. Matthew's Gospel, chapter 21. In verse one, we see how Jesus comes to the house of fruit or the house of figs on Mount Olives there,
the Mount of Olives. That's Beth Page. It's very specific that it's the house of figs or house of fruit. Why? Because we'll see how Jesus will curse the fig tree. As a way of proclaiming judgment upon that house that did not bear fruit. Okay? The evil shepherds of the people in Jerusalem. In verse two of Matthew 21, we see how Jesus tells His disciples two of them anyway to go to the village opposite you and to find their adonky and occult and to bring them, right? And He says, if someone says, why are you taking these, then tell them. And He goes in verse five there, He quotes from Zacharias 99, tell Daughter Zion, your king comes to you, riding on adonky. It's a king of peace. And so the disciples bring the adonky and occult to our Lord. And then Jesus is placed on this adonky, right? As we showed last week. This was a direct reference to how Solomon himself was anointed king and how He rode triumphantly into Jerusalem on the adonky of his father, King David.
But who placed Solomon there? Zadak the priest. Who puts Jesus on this adonky? His disciples. That's a priestly reference. We went on to show last week how Jesus proclaims the parables, proclaiming judgment upon the chief priests and how corrupt they were and how He would take away their priests. Take away their authority, their place and position, their cathedrals over the people and give it to a nation who would bear much fruit, right? Okay. So Jesus is placed on that adonky in verse seven. In verse nine of Matthew 21, we hear shouts of Hosanna to the Son of David as our Lord makes His way into the city. In verses 12 and 13, Jesus goes to the temple and there He cleanses the court of Gentiles, the court of nations. He proclaims them a den of robbers, these traffickers in sheep. How they how they abuse not only the people who come to offer sacrifice, the people who come to enter into communion with God, but they prevent the Gentiles, the nations, same word there for both.
The nations from entering into communion with God because that was the place in which it was designated for them to do so. And how could they be real recollected to God amongst the chaos of all the the bartering, the trading, the noise, the smells, and of course all the inflation that was being imposed upon those who showed up. So Jesus cleanses this court, opening the way for the nations to come and enter into God's communion and proclaiming judgment upon the chief priest, the scribes, the Pharisees, and the Sadducees, right? In verse 14, the blind and the lame come and he heals them. That's very important and we'll get to that. In verse 15 and 16, we see the chief priests are indignant at the wonderful things and that the children, and that the children are crying out and out of the mouth of babes, the truth comes, right? In verse 19, he curses the fig tree for not bearing fruit, and it will never bear fruit again.
But that is, as we said, a profound image of what our Lord has come to do. In verse 23 of St. Matthew's Gospel, we read about how he is being tested for his wisdom. As we said last week, this reminded us of how King David was tested for his wisdom and they came from all over to see this wise king. And so here we see the episode of the priest testing his wisdom, the Pharisees and the Sadducees all coming to test his wisdom. It's the three wicked shepherds of the people who come and all three are turned away because he is more wise than King Solomon was. And so no matter how many traps they lay for him, he is always able to get out of it and turn it back upon them as a way of proclaiming judgment upon these shepherds and upon Jerusalem. Because 40 years later, the Roman army would come and decimate Jerusalem. And Josephus, the first century historian, he describes this to a detail that will almost turn your stomach.
He talks about how women would eat their own children in hopes of survival. I mean, it was a gruesome gruesome scene and countless hundreds of thousands were slaughtered. And so that is the judgment that's placed upon this evil and corrupt generation as Jesus will also say in Matthew's Gospel. Okay, so that's the recap of Matthew 21. Now I want to tie together for you the consummation of the Feast of Tabernacles and show how this plays into Palm Sunday. Now, the Feast of Tabernacles is an eight day festival. It's in the fall and it's intended purposes to remember the journey of the people in the wilderness, how they lived in huts when they left Egypt in their exodus and on their way to the promised land. Now, I'm going to draw a couple of passages out of Taylor Marshall's book, The Crucified Rabbi. From page 158, Taylor Marshall says, quote, the Tabernacles recalled Israel's 40 years of wandering in the desert of Sinai. The Feast of Tabernacles was also one of the three pilgrim festivals that obligated all adult males to journey to Jerusalem, the festival climaxed in an eighth day of rest, feasting and solemn assembly, unquote.
Now, a couple of things here. One, notice that it said, Taylor Marshall points out that this was one of the three feasts that all adult males were required to come to. Now, in a future show, I hope to bring this out in greater detail because one of the very cool things that happens at these three festivals is God commanded that this was required, that they come to the very face of God, that they encounter the very face of God. And so what happened? The priest would bring the altar of the bread of the presence, this golden altar with these 12 cakes of bread and these little flaggons of wine there. And they would carry their out out of the inner sanctuary there. And they would have it in front of all the gathered assembled people, all these men who had to come down three times a year. This was one of them. And they would hold up this golden altar with the 12 cakes of unleaven bread. And they would proclaim, behold, God's love for you, unquote. I mean, how powerful is that? This is a eucharistic prototype. This is an image that is so beautiful and so grand. And I hope to dive deep on that subject in a future show.
Now, the same feast of tabernacles was used very precisely and strategically by King Solomon when he dedicated the first temple, okay? Dr. Scott Han from his book, a father who keeps his promises talks about this event in relation of his parallels between the Garden of Eden, the tabernacle and the wilderness and the presentation or the consecration of the first temple under King Solomon. He shows their similarities on page one, sorry, page 53, rather of a father who keeps his promises. Dr. Han says, quote, a similar pattern is evident in the biblical account of the construction of Solomon's temple, which he rushed to complete in seven years and chose to dedicate in the seventh month during the feast of tabernacles, which lasted exactly seven days. To top it off, Solomon's prayer of dedication was composed of seven petitions, unquote, seven, seven, seven, very much in line with Genesis and its creation account, as well as the account of how Moses was commanded by God to construct the tabernacle and the wilderness according to the same pattern.
What of the eighth day, right? In 1 Kings chapter 8 verse 66, we are told, quote, on the eighth day, he, King Solomon, that is, sent the people away and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had shown to David, his servant and to Israel, his people, unquote. So remember that we're going to come back to that again here and just a little bit on the eighth day, the king sent them away and they were joyful in heart. Okay, so that's the feast of tabernacles. King Solomon, the king of peace who rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, he uses this feast of tabernacles the eighth day festival to consecrate the temple on, and I don't want to get ahead of myself, but there is so much detail there that we'll talk about hopefully here in a minute. Now, the feast of Hanukkah is another feast of tabernacles. You see Judas Maccabeeus, he kicked out the Greeks, right? He was able to conquer the Greeks and recapture the temple and he used the same pattern of the feast of tabernacles to create a new eighth day feast, which celebrated the retaking of the temple.
And we read about this in 2nd Maccabeeus, chapter 10, starting in verse 1 going down to verse 8 says, quote, Now Maccabeeus and his followers, the Lord leading them on, recovered the temple and the city. And they tore down the altars which had been built in the public square by the foreigners and also destroyed the sacred precincts. They purified the sanctuary and made another altar of sacrifice. Then, striking fire out a flint, they offered sacrifices after a lapse of two years and they burned incense and lighted lamps and set out the bread of the presence. And when they had done this, they fell prostrate and besought the Lord that they might never again fall into such misfortunes, but they, if they should ever sin, they might be disciplined by him with forbearance and not be handed over to blasphemous and barbarous nations. Verse 5, it happened that on the same day on which the sanctuary had been profaned by the foreigners, the purification of the sanctuary took place, that is, on the 25th day of the same month, which was, rather, Shislav.
Verse 6, and they celebrated it for eight days with rejoicing. In the manner of the feast of booths, remembering how not long before, during the feast of booths, they had been wandering in the mountains and caves like wild animals. Therefore, bearing ivy-reathed wands and beautiful branches and also fronds of palm, they offered hymns of thanksgiving to him who had given success to the purifying of his own holy place. They decreed by public ordinance and vote that the whole nation of the Jews should observe these days every year, unquote. That was the feast of Hanukkah. You see, Maccabeeus wanted to re-consecrate the temple just like King Solomon did during the Feast of Tabernacles, but he didn't want to wait 10 more months to do that, so instead he created a new eight-day festival called the Feast of Hanukkah, and he commanded that it would be celebrated every day forever, right? Or every year, rather, forever.
So we see those parallels. Did you catch in verse 7, the palm branches, the shouts of hymns and thanksgiving to God who had given success? This is a reference to Psalm 118 that we read last week, the Hosanna, save us, give us success, O Lord, as they proclaim that, for Jesus who rode into Jerusalem up to the very temple, where he would purify the holy place, just like Maccabeeus there in verse 7. So I'm already getting out of my self-Christ. We're going to pause there, praise be to God. We still have another 10 plus minutes of that clip for you. This is part two of a deeper dive into Palm Sunday. Jesus is triumphant entry. He is more than the king of kings. He is the high priest. His apostles are the new priesthood. The old priesthood failed to do what they were supposed to, and it was taken from them and given to the apostles. And that was all prophesied in Daniel's book. So I got to tell you, this is a deeper dive, and I absolutely love it. It's a blast from my own past.
And we'll come right back to it in just two minutes from now. Do us a favor. Share us with a friend. We'll be right back. Praise be to Jesus Christ. Welcome back to a Catholic take a bold synthesis of information and inspiration on your host, Joe McClain, praise be to God. It's good to be on with you. We've been talking about earlier in the hour, Donald Trump, the escalation of a global unjust war. Well, Pope Leo seems to think so. We're going to continue that conversation in the after show when we say goodbye to the radio here at the top of the hour. All you got to do to be a part of the conversation. Let us know what you're thinking about all of this. Go to the station of the cross dot com forward slash ACT where you can find the show notes. Sign up to the email list and get a bunch of goodies like being on the telegram group in the back end. As well as like the Bible study on the 13 part series of salvation history, the apocalypse study and so much more plus the watch the live stream and the podcast.
If you like podcast, why don't you leave us a review on your Spotify, Apple, wherever you listen to them, that would mean a lot to us. But right now we're going to finish up our series on home Sunday, a deeper dive. We're looking at Jesus Christ the king, the king of kings and the Lord of lords. But there's so much more this is like the tip of the iceberg. When you look under the water, you see a mountain and back in 2012. I did a two part series a deep dive on this back in those 14 years ago. It's hard to believe how much time has passed. So I did this on my radio show back in those days and it was called the whole demand. So yesterday was part one today is part two. We're going to wrap it up and you can if you missed it, you can catch it all on the podcast or if you're a channel member. I posted those videos in their entirety for you at your leisure. But let's go back to part two of this deep dive on Palm Sunday. Is the fulfillment of both the feast of tabernacles and the feast of Hanukkah. He is a new king of peace who comes to the temple with a new eight day festival.
You see, it was eight days from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Do you think that's a coincidence at all? No, of course not. There are no coincidences in scripture. This was intended. Why? Because he wants the people to see him for who he is. The king Messiah promised from the prophets and the law. So many centuries ago, he is the perfection of it all. And so just like King Solomon who uses the eight day festival to dedicate the temple and to to bring about a sacrifice and a feast. So to does our Lord use an eight day festival to bring about a purification of the temple and a new temple in his body with a new sacrifice. You see Solomon's own name means peaceful one, right? He is Shalomah. He is peaceful one. Now if we read St. Paul in Ephesians 2.14, he says, quote, for he is our peace who has made us both one and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility.
The dividing wall of hostility, that is a reference to the wall in the temple for dividing the court of the Gentiles to the court where the Hebrew males could enter. There was a doorway that separated these two courts and a sign hung on the Gentiles side that said something to the effect of, you pass through this door, you do so at your own risk. Because you are going to be killed and your blood will be on your own hands. You see, it is the dividing wall of hostility. Do not dare pass through these walls. We will kill you. Was the message that the Hebrew people had for the Gentiles, the nations. Same word, Gentile and nations. Think of Abraham and the promise God made that he would make many nations out of him. Gentile and nations. Do you think God's intention from the beginning was to bring about a family reunion with all mankind? I argue it is.
Now we see that Solomon, the king of peace, is also the king of Jerusalem, which happens to be an interesting name. Jero Salem. Salem comes from Shalom, meaning peace. Jero comes from God will provide coming again from Abraham on Mount Mariah, offering up his son and God provided the ram instead. That prophecy that God would provide himself the Lamb of God, which he does in Holy Week, as we are about to experience. And so King Solomon, the king of peace, is the king of the peace that God will provide. And now David, our son of David, Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah, truly is the king of peace, who brings about peace of all mankind, knocking down the dividing wall between Gentiles and Jews, the Israelite people. So I want you to see the perfection there on Palm Sunday. Okay, now let me back up here. On the first day of the feast of tabernacles under King Solomon, what happens?
The very presence of God that checking out the glory cloud comes and fills the sanctuary so much so that the priest had to leave. We read about that in first Kings 8 verses 10 and 11. What about the first day for Jesus Palm Sunday? What does Jesus do on Palm Sunday? He enters into the temple and he cleanses it. Jesus is God. He is the second person of the Trinity. And here we see God's presence in the temple, purifying it, cleansing it, sending out the traffickers, the traders, the money changers, like those priests who had to evacuate, we see these traffickers evacuate the temple. See that image? See that parallel, that illusion? Jesus cleanses the court. Why so that they, the Gentiles, can as well enter into God's communion? Because he desires to bring about that communion. Okay, on the eighth day, what happens? What does King Solomon do? Remember, first Kings 866, he sins away the people and they are filled in their heart with joy.
What about Jesus? On his eighth day, Easter Sunday, Jesus' angels send away the women. Matthew 28 verses 7 and 8, quote, then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead and behold, he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, low, I have told you. Versailles, so they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples. Jesus too sends them away on the eighth day, filled with joy of heart, not just joy, great joy, right? So again, a parallel to King Solomon. He is the new Macbias in a certain way. He is bringing back a retaking of the temple. Like Judas who conquered the Greeks and took back the temple, cleansed the temple, casting out the idols, holding an eighth-day festival of lights, an image of the feast of tabernacles, and offers a sacrifice once again.
So too does Jesus, riding into Jerusalem triumphantly, taking back the temple, cleansing it, casting out the traders, like the idols, and the traffickers of sheep who profane the very house of his father, proclaiming judgment on these evil shepherds in their corrupt ways. Jesus brings back the light upon this darkness that has befallen the people. Taylor Marshall, in his book Crucified Rabbi, goes into great detail about the feast of tabernacle and showing how it is a great link between the feast of tabernacle and Palm Sunday. He talks about this at the bottom of page 160, going to 161, says, quote, Christ also seems to have mapped the symbolism of tabernacles over the last week of his passion. Moses commands that on the feast of tabernacles you should take for yourself on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and bows of thick trees and willows of the brook.
The events of Palm Sunday and the account of Christ cursing the fig tree for its inability to bear fruit seem to point to the ceremonies involving fruit and palms on the feast of tabernacles. The eight days of Holy Week ended with the resurrection of Christ's body, a kind of dedication of the true temple. Jesus answered them, destroyed this temple, and in three days I will raise it up, but he spoke the temple of his body. That's from John chapter 2 verses 19 and 21. So even Taylor Marshall points out these connections, and I want you to dive deep on those. That's the crucified rabbi. I'll link to it at CatholicHack.com. Now, as we said in back in Matthew chapter 21 verse 5, Jesus quotes from the book of the prophet Zachariah. And chapter 9 verses 9 and 10, he says, quote,
It was all laid out in the Old Testament, and they knew, and they knew and still they rejected. Caiaphas would not have the competition. This new Israeli king with his 12, with his 70, with his miracles, and all the rest, he knew they all knew that this was the Messiah, but they rejected him. Never reject Jesus when he comes to you and he makes himself aware, you must say yes. God love you. We'll see you tomorrow on the radio or in the after show. Praise be to God and all things good afternoon everybody. Thanks for hanging out with us. It's kind of fun to go blast from the past 12, 2012, 14 years ago. So so crazy to pull anything out that old, actually, and listen to it. But like I was saying yesterday, I at the time I was producing a radio program called Behold the Man, and it was all pre-recorded and then it would be distributed. There was a postulate out of Brooklyn, New York, actually, that would take my, my show, and they would distribute it to many radio stations throughout Latin America, the United States, and other places.
So it's just, I don't know, it just feels kind of weird to look at yourself or listen to yourself from so long ago. But I, you know, back in those days, I was really into apologetics and biblical typology. And I was working full time, my full time job, my day job was not radio at the time. My day job was Catholic conferences. So I was working with an apostolate that did these huge Catholic conferences for like thousands of attendees, and we were working with the biggest names around. I mean, at the time, even Father Cropi and, you know, Scott Hahn and just all of the anybody at the time who was like a big name, we were working with him. So I got to spend a lot of time consuming tons of material coming out of the St. Paul Center for Biblical theology in their, their lectures from Dr. Bergsmann, Graham Petri, and Michael Barber, and Scott Hahn, and Tim Gray, and just Edward Sree, and just a ton of these guys. It was pretty amazing.
So I was really into it. And so I spent all of my time really focused on that kind of content. So and all of that is on my old website. And I've told you this before. I don't maintain that site. I do make sure it stays up. I pay for it every year. But I never go there. I never like updated. So like it probably loads very slow. It's got a ton of all content that I don't even know how often it works, but it's all there. Catholicac.com, you can find it. But by the way, I just wanted to also while I'm thinking about it, I am going to be going to be at some conferences and some events coming up. One is going to be I'm going to be with the Jeff Kavens who, you know, I remember it's funny having this sort of flashbacks about flashbacks. So 2008. Now 2006, I started my podcast, I called the Catholic act specifically before that I podcasted under a different name, but in 2006, I started a podcast called the Catholic act focused on apologetics. I was working in international logistics during my day job. I would have one hour for lunch. I would run down to my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan.
And I had no air conditioner. Literally never one was never installed. I bought it when I was living in New Hampshire. I drove across the country to Texas. No AC. And I would sit in the parking lot, you know, of my office building where I worked. And I would record my podcast during my lunch break with the windows rolled up, sweating my tail off on a $15 headset. I bought a Walmart because I couldn't afford anything. And then I got Skype and I figured out how to have like guests. So then what I would do is I would drive to a hotel. Then what's sitting the parking lot and it would access their Wi-Fi from the parking lot or I would go to a Starbucks and get on their Wi-Fi from the parking lot. And I would use Skype to Skype guests and Jeff Kavins was one of those guys, but Scott Han, Jeff Kavins, Tim Staples, all those guys. I was talking to them about through by Skype and they'd be guests on my podcast, which people started stealing the content from my podcast, 2006, 2007, 2008.
They were stealing my content. There was at the time there was a marketing firm called Maximus Group out of Atlanta, Georgia. They were air quotes here stealing. They weren't really stealing and I was completely cool with it. But they were taking my content and then they were distributing it to like the Catholic channel on serious out of New York. So they were playing clips, just the interview parts. They would get rid of everything else and just take the interview parts and they were playing that. And then there was this organization out of New York that's out of the Bronx. I forget exactly where in New York. There was a wonderful lady there and she's like, listen, I have a lot of radio stations that want content. Most of them are Spanish, but there's some English too. Can I take your content? I'm like, of course. And then I switched from the Catholic hack to behold the man. I started a new show called we'll hold the man 2009. And so yeah, and I did that for a few years. And so anyway, just going down memory lane. That's all. No big deal.
Let me know what's on your mind. What do you want to talk about? But I wanted to let you know that I will be if you're in Texas at all. There's a lot of opportunities for us to maybe get together, connect, say hello, hang out a little bit. I'm going to be at the Catholic Culture Revival 3.0. On June 5th through the 7th in Round Rock, Texas and the Austin area. So who knows could be an opportunity. Hello, 3, 3, 4. If you can come down from the deep north. Maybe we can hang out. That'd be a great. Father Ripperger is going to be at that one. That's going to be a great conference. I'm going to be there as the MC. And Father Ripperger, Kyle Clement, whom we've interviewed a few times. Jesse Romero. We just had it on the other day. Shane Smith. I'm kind of excited to like maybe get to get to meet Shane Smith. Very interesting convert to the church. Praise be to God. So I'll be at that. Plus I'm also going to be at the San Antonio conference. August the 21st, first through the 23rd. I'm going to be there as well. Plus I'm going to be at this gala with Jeff Cavan's coming up April 23rd. And as I said yesterday, I will also be.
In New York for a week of the last week in April, I'm going to be in New York and James is going to attempt. To convince me that blue cheese is somehow worthy of the time on a on a on a small little tiny piece of, you know, chicken wing. I'm like, it's just the tiniest meat ever. But whatever. All of that going down so far. And if you also I wanted to say that if you if you were at all interested in inviting myself or maybe somebody else that is on the station across Catholic media network to come and speak at your event, your conference, your retreat or anything like that. Whatever you can always contact us, the address, the email address is listed on our landing page, the station of the cross dot com forward slash ACT. And if you just scroll down, you'll see it says ACT at the station of the cross great place to send an email in case you want to contact us. Call me out, you know, call me a bunch of names, tell me I'm the worst person ever. I don't care. That's fine. Totally fine. Have had it. But if you're also interested to like maybe invite us out to give a talk, a retreat or anything like that whatsoever. Just let us know we can work out the details.
The station of the cross dot com forward slash ACT. Hey, good afternoon, Mary and Paul praise be to God. Glad you guys were on the team today, Mary from Hampton, New Hampshire. Oh, man, I'm having flashbacks to Hampton, New Hampshire, each town Hampton, all the shanty little buildings that everybody would rent out every year to spend their summers at the beach. My wife used to love going to Hampton as a young woman. She would earn her friends. We get together and they rent one of those houses and hang out at the beach in the summers. But the problem is when I would show up to New Hampshire, put my big toe in the Atlantic Ocean, it would freeze to death and fall off. And I'd be like, why are we? Why? Literally, this is unusable. You can't actually get into the water here. Like what would you you will die if you try to swim anything north of probably road island. I'm guessing like you swim. You guys swim. James used to do. Do I swim in activity in Buffalo?
I guess seasonally you could say. But nobody actually swims. Not on like a regular basis. It's not like a cultural thing. Nobody has pools. Oh, there are people of pools. They heat them though. Yeah, in most cases. It's like a, I don't know, maybe three, four months of the year type deal here. Swimming. Do you ever swim in the in the lake gray lakes? You ever like to take it down? I do not. You never take a dip and to see. I don't know if I would do that. Perhaps since it's a water. It's probably gross. It's just a lake. It's just not like it's not like an ocean. It's just a lake. It probably gets very warm in the summers. I mean, the whole thing was frozen over the winter. So that was yesterday. It was probably your ice fishing yesterday out there. We didn't even try to lie. I'm not a big swimmer. If you can believe it. I imagine nobody in Buffalo knows how to swim actually. I know how to swim, you know, which is funny because you guys got a lot of sailors there. I mean, like you have a whole sailing Navy museum thing going on there, but in a lake to sail on.
But nobody, nobody knows how to swim. You've already gotten to see about the extent of, you know, what we've got in terms of water in Buffalo. I think you saw all of that. So Andrew got to see the balls, but I would not necessarily recommend trying to swim there. Can you fish above the Niagara Falls? That's a good question. I'm not sure. Probably nowhere near the edge just because they're afraid of people falling. And going over, which does happen. We need Carlos and I are thinking about buying some waiters and just waiting in and going for a fish, right? I bet the fish all hide right there because they're not waiting in. Yeah, like just like wait in and just hang out right there where they fish probably all pool up. Right there and just like start start reeling them in. Do you enjoy being alive? Yes, of course. So I would not encourage you to do that. Why not? I mean, it's, you guys shut it off when you want. You just flip the switch and they, the falls turn off.
Okay, don't use it to me. Who's you guys? No, no, no, no, no, no, my first trip up there, like they're the big reveal. The hidden secret of Niagara Falls is they can turn them off. I don't recall that being a part of it. Ask your boss, Jim Wright, he'll tell you all about it. I have to say, I wasn't like with you at the falls that day that you got to go on the made of the mist and all that. I was not with you. Oh, that was a blast. We should do the center, but me and Rudy Carlos are going to go on the made of the mist, whatever that thing is called. Or Jordan, I think Jordan calls it the mist of the seas and I'm like, yeah, you'll. The mist of one of these days, you'll get it right. The Canadian misty something. I don't even know, but like it was a blast. We had a great time. It is a cool thing. We should go. It took all the cable wins. We did. Yeah. Oh, so you got the full experience. We did. We went the full Niagara experience and Jordan Pacheco was a hoot and a holler to hang out with. He is. He is a character. He is a character. It was a lot of fun. A Hello, three, three forces. Joe, I had a Catholic who moonlights as a Freemason tried to join my, my Facebook mean group, Catholic meme group.
He had a photo of him and his son in their aprons. I forwarded the photo to his parish in Cali. By the way, did you see that France has got a bunch of Freemasons on a murder trial going on? Did you see that? Kind of crazy. I saw that. I'm like, wow. Freemasons for the, for the nuts for the, for the loss. Yeah, no, no bueno. Also, I'm seeing some crazy news about Turkey threatening to get involved in the war with Korea threatening to get involved in the war. None of which is a good thing. So yeah, lots of crazy going down. Lots of opportunities to pray fast and do penance for world peace. Because we need more world peace and less, less insanity. Yeah, I saw this right here. It says 22 members of a Masonic lodge face trial in France. 22 individuals linked to the Athenor Masonic lodge are now being, are now on trial in France facing serious allegations tied to organized crime.
The group includes intelligence operatives, police officers and Freemasons. Among the defendants are members of France's foreign intelligence service, police officers, a foreign domestic intelligence official, a security guard in business executives. Prosecutors, alleged involvement in the murder of a racing driver, attempted murders of businesses, business coach and trade unionist, aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy. It's all allegedly connected to a mafia style network operating within the lodge in the Paris suburb of of Pouteau to Pouteau. I have no idea how to say that properly. Don't fact check that. Some defendants claimed during questioning that they believe they were acting on behalf of the French state alleging the target had ties to Israel's Mossad intelligence agency. Who's shocked at that? Anami? Anami, that's for sure. To the twister, good afternoon. John B. Good afternoon.
Usually Catholic Freemasons just do it for business and no, no, not innocent. Well, I mean, that's the thing. It's like the one Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence was a member of the of the lodge. And no doubt that they would tell us it was because they they want the networking capability. I've talked about this before. I was a Freemason. I had to renounce that. I had to confess that. I highly recommend this book right here for the subject. The War of the Antichrist with the Church and Christian civilization by Montsenior Charles of Dylan. It goes into great detail why the church condemns Freemasonry and always have. What the problems are with Freemasonry. It goes through their alt of vendetta and their conspiracies to subvert Holy Mother Church. Their plan, it just, it goes through it all. It is a fantastic book. Couldn't recommend it enough. I do encourage you to check it out. By the way, the Freemasons are who ruined Mexico, by the way.
The Freemasons, the war with the church. Now, in America, it's not quite the same, but in France, that is ground zero for the war against the church. France and Italy. So yeah, it's kind of a big deal. I wear hit boots whenever I read the sumo joke. No kidding. That's pretty baller, tooth twister. Divine intervention Ontario saw a Canadian side much better. You rub it it in. Poor James. It's not his fault he was born in America. You won't get me object to that. It is better on the Canadian side probably, but you're closer to the falls on the American side. So that's the plus. Hampton Beach. Paul is talking about Hampton Beach. The casino ballroom was the place. Don't remind me. I'm trying to forget those days, Paul. Okay. I don't need those kind of flashbacks. Paul says, I can't think of the name of the place in Hampton Beach. I went to the ballroom. I wouldn't wait in above or below Niagara Falls. Why not?
It seems like that's probably where the fish are going to be hanging out. Probably the best place to fish is right there. Right before it goes over into the rocks. We're still talking about blue cheese in the chat, too. It's all in illusion. I thought we'd blue cheese the whole thing out yesterday. He's saying there's something else to be said. John, look forward to your conversion, Joe. That's all I will say. I'll leave it there. When you read from the book of the book of blue cheesians for the first time, thou shalt not finish the last words. Famous last words. John Bees says, Joe, I was just looking for that book. Well, thanks Charles just did a video promoting that book. It's a great book. I interviewed Joshua Charles on that two years ago. He was the editor of the book. Fantastic. John says, I can't imagine American Catholicism without Scott Han. Yeah, agreed. Now, listen, some trends have issues with Scott Han. You shouldn't. Scott Han's a wonderful man.
Even if he won't give me the time of day anymore, it's okay. To be honest, I mean, I wouldn't give me the time of the day either. But nonetheless, I have a lot of respect for Dr. Scott Han. He has done a humongous amount of work to take what was generally complicated theology and boil it down so that it's super simple to understand and see in a 60,000 foot view. He's been pretty brilliant at that. Furthermore, he has done a great job to help lead many countless thousands to conversion in the church. Which is why I had the book right here. It's why I use his book, the original, the OG original copy. I've had to tape it to keep it together. But I used this as my guide for the 13 parts series on salvation history, which as channel members, ACT and Saturdays, you get access to that. You get all 13 sessions.
You can watch them 1,000 times if you want. You can share them even if you like all of that. When you son up to the email list, you get a direct link to it. This right here was literally life changing to me. In fact, in 2004, Scott Han came to give a series of talks at a parish in New Hampshire. I want to say it was St. Michael's Catholic Church. I forget the town now. It's how past Raymond headed towards Hampton. I forget the name of that town. It'll come to me. It doesn't matter. St. Michael's, I want to say it was St. Michael's. But when I waited in line to meet him personally at his booth, and when I went up there, I started crying. I don't know. I have that picture someplace. I wonder if I searched for 2004, what comes up.
Don't see it. I still have the picture someplace of me meeting Scott Han. Some place somewhere. I was just curious if I could find it real quick. I cannot though. I don't know where how I would find it. It's pretty old. But nonetheless, I was I was bowing my eyes out and he thought I was an idiot. And fair enough. I mean, it's true. But nonetheless, I guess he probably gets it a lot. And having had some experience not at his level, of course, but having had some experience of meeting strangers that have been impacted by your work, you know, you can feel a little bit awkward when that happens. Like, that's how I generally felt. I imagine he probably feels that times a thousand. He's on a whole nother level. But he had dramatically impacted my life. He gave me an understanding of the salvation history in a way that I never had nobody ever gave me ever before.
I could see for the first time after reading just this one book, how the Old Testament made sense. What was God's divine plan? I could see it. And then because I could see the Old Testament, now the New Testament and the Catholic Church made absolute perfect sense. Every detail of it. And it was literally life-changing. And then, of course, I would read First Comes Love, which was an amazing book on the communion of saints. And just God gave us more than just himself at the cross. He gave us not just his father and the Holy Ghost, not just his blessed mother and his apostles. He gave us the brothers and sisters that had go before us. He gave us the sacraments. He gave us the church. He gave us the creation itself. And it was so... Like, Scott Hahn did so much for that. And then, of course, many of his other books, Lamb's Sopper, such a classic. I've got that sitting there, too. You know, these books were amazing. They really did a lot for me. So I cried, I balled my eyes out,
because it was so life-changing for me just to go through that. And he thought I was a complete moron. Now, years later, he would know this, but, you know, several, a few years later, anyway, 2004 and 2008, I started working full-time in Catholic evangelization, leaving the corporate world, and doing these Catholic conferences, and then I began to work with him again. And I waited a few years before I say, hey, by the way, the first time I ever met you, but, you know, of course, he didn't remember me, but that's okay. I'm not very memorable. Oh, there is somebody hacked my count. Somebody has... Couldn't be me. Taken total control and is putting blasphemous, sacrilegious things in the chat here under my name. That is crazy. It says, blue cheese is often bad outside of Buffalo, New York. Oh, clarification was needed, in my opinion.
Is it really needed? I don't know. It's needed. This is an important matter, Joe. You'll understand. Let's see here. It says, fill a Phyllis Della, J6592. How do I say that correctly? What is the act? What is that? I need help. I need some help. Can I buy a valve? Can I phone a friend? I think Scott Hahn is just a few steps away from being tried, navigating the crisis and the church is insane. You know what's interesting about that? Now, again, I just said, I love and respect Scott Hahn, and that is true. But what is interesting about the whole Scott Hahn saga is, Scott Hahn is, I think he prefers the traditional Latin mass. He has said that. He's actually also criticized Pope Leo, but it got him in so much trouble that he never wants to touch a third rail again, which is why he doesn't take my calls anymore. Because I talk about those topics all the time
and he does not need the bad association. So, I don't blame him. It's fine, whatever. But the reality is, I think he would, I mean, I think he would prefer to go to the traditional Latin mass. I think he prefers orthodoxy over, this gobbledygook's sonotal heterodoxy playing with fire nonsense. I think he saw the grave errors committed by some in the hierarchy of the church, and it was causing him great pain to see it. But why I feel like it's interesting, because one time he and I were having a conversation and I picked him up at the airport and I was driving him to the conference, and we were chatting about how many Protestant pastors would call him on the phone, conversate with him for hours. He would mail them books, boxes of books, even. Being able to plant a seed in their heart for the Catholic faith, and they would see the light of it. They would see the fruit of it. They would be like, you're right,
but they themselves would not convert because they were afraid of what people would say. They were afraid of losing their position. They were afraid of losing their followers. They were afraid of what might come next. And so I see some parallels there for Scott, but I don't fault him, and I don't think any tragedy either, because he is doing a work that you and I particularly are not doing. And many hands make for light work. Scott Han is serving a segment of the world, the audience that you and I are not. He talks routinely to the non-Catholics. He publishes like his book right here. I'm going to pull this off my whole bookshelf is going to come crashing down. I got to be very careful because it's like Tetris. This book right here, Kinship by Covenant, a canonical approach to the fulfillment of God-saving promises. If you want your brain to hurt, read this one. You will get cramps in the cranium.
And you'll be like, what did he just, like, what? I don't even know what that means. And so he basically, basically this is his doctoral thesis. And this is the version of it that I read that made sense. Okay? I bought this one too. I read parts of this one, but you get a lot of cranium cramping. So I don't recommend it unless you are a true geek and you love to dive super geeky deep in your ivory tower. Then this is the way to go. But the reason why I pulled this book out was to say, that this book is published with a Protestant publisher. You know why he does that? It's like 4D chess. It's not because he hates Catholic publishers. He owns one. You know, he owns his own publishing house. It's because if it's published by a Protestant publishing house, Protestant pastors and scholars may pick it up and actually read it.
If it was published by Ignatius Press, or the Jesuit house, or something like that, not likely. You know, Sophia can, I mean, there's several Catholic publishing houses, even at the higher level. And these scholars are not likely to read those. But they might actually read it if it's published by a Protestant house. So he's pretty sneaky that way. And so I say, you know, if you got mad at Scott because he's sort of backed off after he got in trouble for criticizing Francis, give the guy a break. He's doing a great job. He's doing something you and I are not doing. Hey, says Catherine. The Great Lakes are amazing. I'm in Michigan. Some lakes in northern Michigan look like that. Look like the light blue of the Caribbean and crystal clear. Look up torch lake. Walloon. Walloon lake. Himmingways spot. That sounds actually nice. Maybe we should do like a road trip.
Me, you and Rudy Carlos when I'm up there. Games. I'm honored that you would include me. Maybe we'll stop by Wegmans and Stora. Stalk up on some road food. Joe just wanted. He really just wants to come to Buffalo for Wegmans. That's all I gather every time we talk about that. Can you not mention that? That's really all it is. It's not our boss will hear of that. It's not me that you want to see. It's my flight. Just you're using me for Wegmans. And I won't be able to come to Wegmans. I mean, to the studio there in Buffalo. That's what I meant to say. Tan is too much for some Catholics. It used to be, but probably not anymore. Tan is under new leadership over the last decade. So it's not like it used to be. Hello, 334 Joe. I was inspired by the Archbishop of Canterbury and made a new meme. I emailed it to you. Let's see if I can find it. It hasn't come through yet. So unless it went to junk. Did he go to junk? Didn't go to junk. So I'm not seeing it just yet.
I'll let you know when it comes through. Is video and audio tracking off for everyone else? Sagar mode, probably. That's all James, though. But then I adjusted it and he said, yes, but then somebody else said, now it's off for them. So what I'm gathering is we lose no matter what. We should force James to sing 80s tunes in reparation for his failure to keep the lip sync going. Going. You know, if you guys are in favor of that. Um. Yikes. You said you could, by the way. Honey West. Praise be to God. Welcome and hang him for hanging out with us on the Rebels. How many bookcases do you have in this room? Well, okay, in just this room. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven in this room. That doesn't count other rooms. And you wonder why he avoids you. Why do I avoid who?
Uh, it's got a lot of owns his own library. His basement of his house in stupidville is an actual library with thousands and thousands of books. Okay, he hates books more than I do by far. Or it loves, loves books more than I do by far. That's what I meant to say. Uh, he avoids me because I'm, I'm up to shenanigans and they, they don't love it. Hey, James 1689 said, welcome and good afternoon. Praise be to God. I join the team. Hi, hi, hi, hi. Are you making a road trip down to Buffalo in the end of April? Are you bringing the garbage plate? I just, I'm asking for a friend. I'm asking for a friend. Eyes on the horizons. This is a just wrote an article that 10,000 people turned out for the No Kings March in Reno last Saturday. Pretty sure they are all multi jab brain damaged. Yikes. Yikes. Boy, it's like the, it's like dumber, dumber reality TV. That's kind of what we're dealing with these days. Yes, sci-fi is going to make it down to New York,
down to Buffalo, I meant. That's awesome. So eat. Praise be to God. Uh, Connor Gallagher, Tansio does a, does great long form interviews. Very worthwhile. I've interviewed him a couple of times. Connor Gallagher is a great guy. Has a ton of kids, too, by the way. Amazing, man. Doesn't even, it's like 13 or something. Yeah, he's got a bunch. I feel like, I feel like a loser when I talk to him mostly. I've only got six kids and three grandkids. What is that? Slacker. Me, Joe. I'm still young. I haven't done any of that yet. Well, you're calling me a loser. You still have time. It's okay. If you want to call me a loser, I understand. I will not call you a loser. Thank you. You'll just, you'll just heavily imply it, but you won't state it. I will heavily imply that I'm the loser. But if it helps you, I would be happy to, you know, play hookup, you know, matchmaker for you. So, if you want us to, you know, find a beautiful lady for you, we can do that on the show. Hey, let's just move to, that's, that's the new show idea. That's the game show. What was that game show called back in the day?
Like, blind date or? Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Now, there's like a billion spin offs of it. Hmm, maybe we get like some ladies on the phone. And then we'll ask them questions. And, you know, and then you, at the end, you'll pick one and you'll go on a date. What do you say? Should we make that happen? We'll consider it, Joe. How's that? We'll consider it. Because if I say yes, then it'll be held over my head for the next six months of it. It would be, it'll be regardless of how you answer. So the fact that we talked about it means it's already too late for me. Yeah, 100%. The fact that it has now been mentioned. And it's called the dating game. James, thank you for reminding me. James 6897. The dating game. Oh, dear is right. I second that. The Catholic dating game. Woof. Be awesome. That'd be a fun time. We can have prizes. It'd be great. We could have sound effects and sounders. And like if she says something wrong. Or right. That'd be, we could have a great time. I got buttons to push.
This would be fun. Hey, cigar mode. God bless you. It's okay to get news. Is it, it's okay to get news from all sorts of carisms? The choleric and the melancholic have takes, which add perspective, which can inform. The things needing a gut check are greater than those that don't, by the way, I'm guessing it's what you meant. Joe, which temperament are you? What's temperament do you think I am? Probably what I am, but I don't want to say that, because then it spoils it. All right. You guys, let me know what temperament I am in the chat. Let's see who gets it right. Let's see who gets it right. Can, do you know what temperament I am? It'd be interesting to know. If people have figured that out. In glass, good afternoon. Prizes can be pilgrimages. Do you want me to sense somebody on pilgrimage? Hmm, I wish I could. If I had an underwriter sponsor, I would do that. I would do that. If it's a dating show, I thought I was the prize.
Why do we need prizes? Do we need to sell these people? I'm like, hey, if you're willing to meet this guy, we'll send you to Fatima. Yes, fuck. Hold on, James. Hold on. If the first date is in Fatima, Portugal, you see what I'm... Like, now it's a winner for both of you. And who's funding this project? Well, that's the trick. I've got to find... I have to find money bags to come up with some underwriting to pay for all of that. Be pretty cool if we could, though. I'm temperamental, says sci-fi. James doesn't know the temperaments. Are you kidding me? My kids all like are into the temperaments. I am not really into it at all. My kids are really into it. Oh, dear. Oh, dear. The Gong Show, says John B. I don't have a gong. I need a gong. And a cowbell. That would be amazing. Easy, says choleric. Melancholic choleric says Douglas. Could be.
You know what you're saying? I'm not a sanguine. Cano texas. I'm a choleric. I'm a choleric. See, generous donors to find James a woman. Seriously, what is this? It sounds like a good time is what it sounds like. For what it's worth, I tend to agree with Douglas on the temperament for you. Which is what? He's on the melancholic choleric. Why would I be melancholic choleric? Well, choleric is typically very goal-oriented, I guess, ambitious. You think I'm ambitious? Good leaders. And then melancholic is you're a perfectionist, for sure. You think I'm a perfectionist? I don't know, bro. Have you watched my show? Have you ever listened to my show? I'm not sure one can claim that I'm a perfectionist. Melancholic, you're also a doomer. But so am I. That's so funny. My self-analysis is overwhelmingly melancholic, by the way, for myself.
And the test back it up. Joe's phlegmatic, phlegmatic, phlegmatic, the guessing he won't admit it. Is this a guard mode? You know, okay. The thing is, every human being has a little bit of all of the temperaments. Two Twister says, sanguine melancholic. You think I'm sanguine melancholic? I wish my kids were here to weigh in on this. Sanguine is in optimistic, like positive. I am Debbie Donor. I am the glass half-empty guy. You're telling me you've never taken one of these assessments, Joe? I have, but man, I had to... One time I got offered a job. Remember that marketing firm I told you about in Atlanta, Georgia. It no longer exists. But they offered me a job. And they made me take a personality test. And then the guy... Who runs it? Who runs a sentient press? What's the guy's name? Who runs a sentient press?
Jim... No, this is not the guy. I wonder if the original guy sold it. Jim, Matthew Pento, co-founder. So they offered me a job. It was owned by a sentient press. And they made me take this personality test. And then I got the results. And I hated the results. And then I got on the phone with Matthew Pento and we're going through the results. And I got incredibly defensive over it all. I was like, no, this is not right. I'm sorry. This is wrong. There's no way that's true. I was like, I'm really upset about it. I was like, forget this. This is horrible. I mean, I just did not like that at all. I hated the whole thing. And amazingly, they still offered me the job after. I couldn't believe it. I ended turning them down though. It was actually a kind of a grace and a miracle from God.
That morning, I was going to Daily Mass. And I said, after Mass, I said, Lord, if you do not want me to have this job, I'm not supposed to have this job. I need that to be incredibly clear to me by the time I get to my office. Because I'm going to accept this. That's not what you want. I need to know, like, right now. I get to my office. I mean, like, on my way to the office, and I get a phone call from an old friend ahead and talk to in a long time. I'm like, Joe, I need to talk to you. I'm like, really? Why? What's going on? I'm like, I ran into somebody at Mass this morning who said that they need to tell you something. I'm like, really? What was it? And I'm like, don't take that job. Oh, wow. Okay. I was pretty blown away. So I had to turn them down. And the rest is, as they say, history. Probably a good thing. I lean, can't stand with potential employers make you take those personality assessments
as part of the application process. I know. Is anybody else as defensive as me over them? It's like it's the worst. I just don't want to deal with the harsh reality of my personality. Not that there's anybody else. I think ignorance is bliss in this case. Kanotex says, I'm not choleric. I'm caldoric. I got where you're going with that. Where did you mean it the other way around? Love them calories. Dumer is just somebody who reads the news. Well, that's me, Kanotex. That's definitely me, too realistic to be sanguine. I'm the same way. I tried to sell it to my parents once. They couldn't think of anyone to set me up with. Oh, yikes. No, we can get James connected. Trust me. I can get married by the end of the year. No problem. You have connections in Buffalo now. Why does it have to be in Buffalo? Why are you going to hold my whole limit? I mean, I'm here. Okay, but you know, but she may want to move.
She might just sunny Buffalo and pay high taxes and not, you know, enjoy the second amendment rights and all the rest of the great lockdown mentality I'm listening to your plan fall apart real time, by the way. I mean, it's all crashing down as you speak. Sounds like it sounds like Utopia. I don't know why you're like Debbie down in this thing. It's your melancholic coming out. Okay. I can't help it. It was decisively melancholic, by the way, not just melancholic. When I took the test, it was like overwhelmingly melancholic. But personality test did say I would be defensive at many times. But that's true. A sentient press to Joe, interestingly enough, we're looking for someone who flies off the handle when someone offends our lady. Whoo. I'm your man for that job. That's my one only talent. It's the only thing I offer to humanity, actually. Is that one thing outside of that? I got nothing to offer. Find him a woman who is more knowledgeable about blue cheese.
Well, we definitely have to find someone who is more knowledgeable about blue cheese than a buffalo onion, a native buffalo. We're going to have to find a woman who will tolerate and cave in to Big Blue Cheese Inc. Okay. I should be paid for this. Honestly. Yeah. Why don't I have like a sponsorship agreement for Big Blue Cheese Inc. If that's what we're calling it now. That's so funny. Okay. So hold on. Let me, I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to phone a friend. I'm going to phone a friend. Let's ask my daughter first. My audience wants to know what my, is it personality? You're temperament. I guess it's my upper terminology. Temperament. Which of the four temperaments are you? Who you say? So we'll see. I'm going to ask this to my daughter first.
And then I'm going to ask it to my son. We'll see what they'll see if there's consensus on the home front. We'll see. Will they even answer? That's the question. Um. Yeah. Well, personality tests are mostly questionnaires put on by Scientology Yikes. Dating game Catholic version. You see Catherine Hunter? That would be fun. Some Canadian ladies right across the border. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You'll batch. Yeah. That would be great. Blue cheese and wings are unbeatable by only. So this is what we'll do. This is. I got it. Oh, dude. This is what we're going to do. We're going to get three contestants. We're going to fly them into Buffalo. Okay. We're going to blindfold them in the studio. And before them will be laid out various combinations of Buffalo wings and sauces.
And the lady who can rightly identify the perfect flat and blue cheese combo. That's the one. That will be the one. That'll be the test. That'll be that'll be how you know right there. That's what we're going to do. I just got to find the ladies. What? So blue Christine, what are you saying? So Sardinians blue zone blue cheese can add to longevity and Pecorino cheese. All goat and sheep. I've never even heard of Pecorino cheese. Poor women. You can always tell when somebody hasn't tried like real blue cheese. You can always tell. You're exposing yourself here. They get a free trip. They get free Buffalo wings. How come back at this? It's great. What do you mean? There's a win. It's a win. It'll be great. Sanguine. Are you saying I'm sanguine, Catherine?
Are you sanguine? Torture is not the best way to get away. Probably true. But nonetheless, it will be a lot of fun. It will be enjoyable along the ride. I'm sensing the need for another conversion in this chat. Let us know where you live and how much it would cost to fly you to Buffalo. Is blue cheese an instrument as Nicholas Williams? Hmm. Blue cheese. Six, seven, six, seven. That's such a gay thing. Kids these days. James says, if Helmonds, mayonnaise is an instrument. Do you understand that reference, by the way, Joe? The six, seven. Is mayonnaise an instrument? No, I don't. I want you to do your research and come back to me and figure out what that's for. Why? Do you want me to, like, this mine rot, brain rot? That's not like a modern thing. I'm not a six, seven guy myself, but the other thing is different. Is Helmonds? It's not specifically Helmonds, but just is mayonnaise an instrument.
Is mayonnaise an instrument? Somebody in the chat probably got it, by the way. Good for you. Yes, according to a 2026 marketing campaign by Helmonds, mayonnaise is technically considered a musical instrument. It's not looking for actual in-depth analysis on the matter. Partnering with Northumbria University and content creator Andy Arthur Smith. They demonstrated the condiments sounds can be used to create music, officially settling the long running SpongeBob SquarePants debate. There you go. And that's what you were trying to get to. Yes, it is. SpongeBob SquarePants. Uh-huh. Yeah. What is... I don't... I don't... I don't get it, but... Well, that's not what I was referring to, but it's the SpongeBob picture that I was
referring to. What I was trying to do in these days is musical instruments with SpongeBob references. Hey, I'm down, so let's go look for a flight and Buffaloings for sure. See? There you go. Contest number one. All lined up. We're on roll. It's all coming together. It's all coming together. We just need to more... And a flight from Boston to Buffalo. What is that? 17 minutes or something? I mean, like... You could almost walk there faster, it's so close. Uh, Nicholas, that's gay. It is gay. The 6-7 thing? Totally. Are you saying it's not? Some kids wrote the spray painted 6-7 on my street. I'm like, what are we doing over here? Uh, SpongeBob is the devil. I probably... Very likely. Uh, James, 6-8. I thought mustard was of the devil. That's what T-storm said yesterday. There's no way. Mustard is great. Mustard is fantastic. I love mustard. It's my favorite condiment. Debatable. No, it's not debatable. It's going to be...
It's going to be your second favorite condiment in about a month. There's no possibility blue cheese is going to Trump mustard. Sorry. It's just not. It's not going to do it. By the way, here's some good book, Ricky News. Sorry, Rabia's bin Salman has terminated the defense agreement with the US following insults from America and has entered into a defense pact with Europe without informing Marco Rubio. The hits just keep on coming, don't they? It's fantastic. Good times. How does this all end? Is the question. EU is turning hard against Donald Trump at this point. I mean, even like his closest friends and allies, Maloney and others, they're really not liking anything coming out of the White House at the moment. I'm going to pray that we can get out of this with some peace and some tranquility and less chaos. Pullman Smith says, am I a fake trad, the 55 Holy Week just doesn't bother me all that
much. Sure. The renewal of baptismal promises is kind of lame and a lot of beautiful prayers and readings were removed. But it's not like the 55 rights constitute a new religion. The grass is always greener. Some people claim that 1911 Brewery reforms of Pope Pius, Pope St. Pius X were modernist. Or does it end? I stand with Pope Pius XII, he says. Steve Cunningham, who was on our show earlier, says, doesn't matter if it bothers you. What is the truth? It's Bougnini's Holy Week. It's the novice. Oh no, he says yikes. All right, my daughter has finally come in. Her answer to what is my temperament, she says melancholic sanguine. Okay, so I got half of it right. I don't know if that's correct. I didn't see the sanguine personally. Your daughter knows you better than I do, I'm sure.
So we'll take over for it. She's hearing you clearly, although she can't actually hear, but she must be hearing you because she says she followed it up with a strong dash of cholera. Ha. Definitely, she says. So I win is what you're saying. I'm just telling you what she's saying. My son has yet to answer the question, but he works for a living. So we'll see what he says. Hey, Joey Carter, good afternoon. The EU is becoming pro-Islam half their local politicians seem Muslim, fair enough. Who twist your grilling with mustard is how in and out makes their animal style burgers? Like you got to be in Cali or in the West. I think we've got in and out here in Texas now. U.S. really going straight down the tubes. Mustard is amazing. Genius. You are amazing. God love you. May God reward you for your fidelity to mustard. It is true. From your life. I'm not an anti-mustard guy, by the way.
It's just infuriating. Why do you hate mustard? She is when it comes to you. Why do you hate mustard, James? You tried to tell me that mustard dude you chicken wings in honey mustard is a thing. That's not a thing. It's not becoming a thing. It's the most awesome thing. No. You want to get honey mustard and if you want to convert me to blue cheese, well, we'll see who converts to it. I think I was less mad over the ranch thing than I am about the honey mustard thing. That's not a thing. It can't become a thing. If you want to dip like other things in honey mustard, no objections. It's not a wing condiment. You will never eat blue cheese again. You won't. I've had honey mustard and here I am and I still eat blue cheese all the time. You're going to be eaten. Did you never had them with the flat? You got to have to get your flats out. Cigar mode says extroverted, choleric equals results oriented and sanguine equals people oriented, introverted, melancholy equals quality oriented, phalagmatic equals service oriented.
I don't even know what to make of that jumbled mess like I got a little bit of all that in me. I suppose. I don't know. Two questions says Joe, the dad and you is sanguine for your kids. Probably true. Seems reasonable to me. Seems very reasonable. Honey, whole grain dejon mustard. Great poo pong. That's the way to go. How? It's a Wegman's version, though. I see what you did there, sci-fi. I don't think I'd miss that detail. It's a Wegman's whole grain dejon mustard. We may have to like get a bottle or two of that while I'm there just to try it out. But yeah, who remembers they potted me? Do you have any grape, poo pong? But of course, that was, that was, when I was a kid, that was like the most coolest commercial ever. Blue mustard pronounced moose tart. Interesting, never heard of moose tart. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. So there you go, exactly. Jesus never, ever mentioned blue cheese, not once in the New Testament, never, not even
once, but mustard. Yes. Jason, I had this discussion earlier today, actually. Oh, no. He was eating a jar of olives at his desk, and I told him that that was extremely off-putting in my opinion, and he told me that olives and mustard are biblical, so I have to accept it. You do have to accept it. Olives are amazing. I love olives. Olives are fantastic. I like mushrooms, too. You're gonna tell me, you know, like mushrooms? Olives just don't do it for me. Mushrooms are okay. Okay. Once you get past the texture, once you get past the texture, you're just kind of slimy, you know? What, he stormed? What in the actual world is this satanic goat thing that you put on? What is that? What are we talking about? Like, destroy that thing, burn it to the ground, asking for prayers, babysitting, and then there's this. Is that actually there? Did you just, this goat satanic goat thing is where you're babysitting? Like, burn it. Destroy it.
That's insane. What is that? Why is that? Cigar Moch is also colorick and melancholy equal more task-oriented sanguine and flagmatic, more people oriented. Yeah, I'm a weird bird. I'm just gonna be honest with you. I know you know it, all right? So you don't have to remind me, James, but I get asked to MC a lot. I've done thousands of hours of MC work. You know, dinners, big fancy galas, conferences, I've done a lot of that. Uh, public speaking, I've done a lot of it. I have this weird way of flipping a switch and turning it on and being the life of the party if I have to be. It's true, he does. But at the same time, I could equally be even more content and happy being in the middle of the wilderness, middle of nowhere, not another soul for hundreds of miles, hearing nothing but the sound of the wind and the birds and being like happy and so happy about
being out there. Like it's just kind of a, I'm a hermetic heart, but when I need to be on, it comes very natural and easy to me. It comes very natural and easy. So I have a little bit of mix here between all of these, but I would say I lean more heavy in the colorick and melancholy, more, even more than my daughter seems to suggest that I'm somehow sanguine. Are you saying that I know you better than anybody, given that was my initial assessment? Yeah, I'm saying you're probably more spot on than my daughter. Like I'm going to have to have a conversation with her like, how bad is that? When the producer that you only see once a year if that, like in Buffalo, New York of all places who eats blue cheese, like grief, like if he knows you better, like it is over. It is so over Cabralas, Cabralas, how do I say that, Catherine?
Blue cheese from all, from Asturus region in Spain, Cabralas from Spain is worth trying in very small doses. So Garza's Joe, you're a flak, a flagmatic melancholic, pretty sure. Interesting. Interesting. So Garza was like whole grain mustard. So good. It's the way to go. St. Francis to sales didn't like mushrooms. Are you being serious? Like what? I'm taking his prayer card down. I don't know that I can keep going. I don't know. It seems weird to me. Hey, you know, St. Francis to sales is a pretty amazing guy. Honestly, seriously. In all seriousness, pretty amazing guy. Two Twister says, your ability to be up when you need to be is what makes you a great host for a daily show. You can't come in all cranky, got to put on that happy faith. But that's the other problem though, is I'm also a pessimist by heart. And you know, I see the world as, as, as falling apart like today, talking to Steve Cunningham.
I mean, I, I feel like the world is coming apart at the seams. So the doom scrolling and the black pilling and all of that is like this. So it runs deep within me. I could have easily played Anakin Skywalker, honestly. I have that dark, that dark force street going on. My son's response to the question, good question, he refuses to weigh in on the debate. Joey says, I was flakmatic with a cold, with a cold once. So it was, it was a good day for you, I guess. Christine says, wish I could afford olives again, the same size, $3.50 years ago now, $8.99 olives are healthy fat to munch and add to the meal. Yeah, we don't get, we don't buy olives very regularly, but like if I go out to eat, like at Fogut at Chow for instance, we, when we're splurging on, on birthdays, man, I,
I will, I will pile up those olives because they're like, all you, all you can eat at the bar at the market bar there. So I absolutely love them. Mushrooms too, by the way, olives are fantastic, actual cold, pressure, olive oil here. By the way, tomorrow, just as by way of reminder, tomorrow is our last live show for the week. And Michael Haynes is going to be on the team for sure tomorrow and we might get into some more trouble. We're going to be talking about the, the very recent big moves at the Vatican, Pena Paura gone. Cardinal Roach is rumored to be on his way out. These are big moves. What is Leo doing? We've talked about Leo's appointments before and we're all like, oh, I'm not sure what to believe or what not to believe. It's kind of like a mixed bag.
So Michael Haynes Vatican correspondent is going to be on the team to give us some more updates about that. So we'll see what other trouble we get into. But also tomorrow is my wife's birthday. I'm not going to tell the hell she is. But if you could keep my wife in your prayers tomorrow, I would be super, super grateful to you. I think you need to sing happy birthday to your wife tomorrow then on the show to you. Happy birthday to you, at least I was kind of a family tradition actually when we would for the kids. Every time we would do the happy birthday song for the kids, I would, I would do this like terrible rendition on purpose and just stretch it out and make it like as obnoxious as possible. Like we do that for years for the kids, they used to love it. Yeah, Joe, sound the horn if Roach is he's not gone yet. We can't we can't get too excited, but maybe if Roach leaves, then maybe, I don't know.
We might have to do a dance party. I'm just saying we might, we might have to do it because Roach needs to go, but he needs to take Fernandez with him, honestly, seriously. John Paul, good afternoon, praise be to God again. Thank you for being on the team. She's happy birthday Mrs. McLean. Thank you for saying so. I do appreciate you. Us, what are you talking about, all of us know what we went from blue cheese to olives. I don't even know how we did that. Somebody said something about stuffing olives with blue cheese, which sounds awful. I don't know that I actually work. I didn't have the disclaimer by the way that I don't really like crumbled blue cheese. It's just the dressing. Why do you like liquefied cheese? Like that's crazy. They're just different things. I'm telling you. Do you take the cheese and the can and you know, spread into your mouth? Are you that kind of guy or absolutely not? Got an L-man. Anybody who likes liquefied cheese too much? Can they be trusted? I'm not sure.
Although, I mean, who doesn't love endless casso at at chileys? You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? So on your tortilla, tortilla chips, like those are fantastic. I could eat a mound of those. And I used to and that's part of the reason why I weighed so much back in 2012. Hey, happy 29. You know, look at you go, canno tech sucking up to the misses. Happy birthday. Well, thank you. I'll let her know you guys said so. But if you could keep Michelle is her name, I would appreciate it. Uh-oh. So my son has weighed in. And now I feel like it almost feels like it's 2020, it's election night. And people are stuffing ballots into post office boxes or like, remember the hanging chads and they had to have all the hanging chads counted back with George Bush. It feels a wee bit like that. So my son, John Paul, has weighed in on the question. My audience wants to know what my temperament is.
Let's do you say he has come in with melancholic sanguine. It's the same thing that I don't see. It's the same. It's the same as my sister, which they're not in the same room at this moment. So like, are they, are they like sharing notes? Like what's going on? I don't know. I don't know if I trust that. I am choleric. That's the thing. I am primarily choleric. I am melancholic and sanguine when need be. But my base idol is choleric. I mean, you just asked my wife, she'll tell you like my, my normal tone is a yell. That's choleric. Like it's a good yell though, Joe. If it can't be done now, then it ought never to be done. You see like that's like philosophy number one. See but I feel like you're pitting me against your kids, which can't happen because your kids are great. Maybe you're just a good judge a character. Who knows? I don't know. You read through me like, you like, like you read my soul, James, are you a mystic?
Are you a mystic? Hold up your palm. I just push buttons man. You have the stick motto. I want to see it. There's no stick motto here. All right ladies, we need two more contestants for the Buffalo wing off date night, dating Catholic dating game in Buffalo, New York. It could be a great time. And who knows?
