Eps 403 - Trump Ordered to Pay $450 Million before Appealing His Case
About this episode
Frederic Bastiat, a philosopher and an economist who lived during the nineteenth century is famous today for an essay he wrote in 1857 called, "The Law". Bastiat said, "The only purpose of the law is to protect liberty and property." Clearly this is no longer the case in 21st century. The Trump Organization was sued in New York court for supposedly defrauding the State of New York by entering into a mutually beneficial loan arrangement with one or more banks in New York. New York State was not party to any of the contracts, but somehow suffered damages of more than $350 million dollars according to the ruling from the court. This is a case based on politics, plain and simple. The contract(s) with the bank(s) were fulfilled but somehow New York State is claiming damages. There's no justice in New York! That's as plain as the nose on your face!
