Milton Friedman famously said, "There is no such thing as a FREE LUNCH". My parents used to say that money doesn't grow on trees. Oddly enough, today that's actually not too far from the truth in the world of fiat money and legal tender laws. Even though most of us know these things instinctively, our fellow Americans continue to vote for candidates who promise us stuff from "The Government Treasury". However, there is nothing in the government treasury except what they first stole from us. The belief in this system has led to an increasing amount of corruption and evil to the point where liberty and property, the hallmarks of individual liberty, have completely disappeared from the public discussion. Everybody is now trying to live at the expense of their fellow man and civil society falls farther and farther away from existence.
