Episode 45 - African Melanin Queens: Let’s Start From The Beginning.
About this episode
In this episode, I want to talk about African Melanin Queens when it comes to starting from the beginning when it comes to our history. When it comes to where our trauma, pain, suffering, being single mothers, assault, and trauma begin. I think that we need to go about talking about our healing and recovery from a whole different perspective. I think that we need to talk about the healing process and recovering from what we’ve been through from the very beginning from where it all started slavery. We need to talk about the history of black women when it comes to everything that we have been through when it comes to our African ancestors women. What they have suffered from during the time of slavery? How all of that has transition to a scarlet letter that black women have been wearing for very long time that we didn’t deserve? We also need to talk about the pain and suffering from not just light skin African decent people, but also dark skin African descent people. This process ain’t gonna be for the faint of parts, because so many people have allow men to define who they are as women. When women shouldn’t be defined by men, we should be defined to ourselves as women as far as who we are, how we dress, our success, as wives, and as mothers. So I hope these upcoming podcast episodes give you all some inspiration, as well as helping you through your healing and recovery as African descent women, regardless of where you are around the world.
