About this episode
Our culture loves to emphasize the downside of stress.
While I agree that extended periods of unmanaged stress can be dangerous to both our physical and mental health, it is important to remember that stress has an upside.
Google defines stress as: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
So, moving your life to higher ground is going to require that you lean into a bit of stress.
Muscles grow when we put them under stress, and…well…so do our lives.
How you think about stress has everything to do with whether it will fortify you or deplete you. And, in this episode, I do a deep dive into how you can take more responsibility for the psychological stress you experience along your journey.
