About this episode
Ray Dalio knows a lot about money. Bridgewater Associates, the company he founded in 1975, has over $160 billion under management. His understanding of our economic system as it is and the history that led us to where we are, is amazingly concise and full of interesting facts. By all accounts, he is fabulously successful, which is why I am taking the time to review his understanding of history as it pertains to the US. While this knowledge is valuable in explaining our collective risks going forward, his explanation does little to address the underlying economic violations behind the position we now find ourselves in among the world's major countries. Why is our rivalry with China growing in size and intensity? Join me today as we take the conversation, just one layer lower to reveal the causal mechanisms behind the apparent failure of this once great nation.
