旅歐18年，張雍在離開台灣廣告攝影之後，到歐洲探索攝影的更多可能性。
自此，他的作品就不斷在探索不同現實生活的議題，從捷克布拉格的精神療養院、馬戲團、情色工業，匈牙利吉普賽村落，到歐洲的難民潮。
而這次他走進伊拉克北部，深入精神療養院、難民營學校、屠宰場，回到台灣後，他就帶著庫德族—「一個從未擁有自己國家的民族」－的故事來到節目裡面。
