29:40in the Lindsey Clancy murder case after the jury failed to reach a verdict. Now, we have started to see the jury come out. They didn't look like us, but they are talking. And it's interesting because it was a hung jury only by one juror. Yeah. You know, in our justice system, it has to be unanimous. Yeah. Beyond a reasonable doubt, the person is guilty. Now, the jury sent a note stating that they were still deadlocked again, just because of one juror. Kevin Reddington said he wanted to appeal to a higher court and the judge granted to him one hour to do so. That's the defense attorney. This is the defense attorney. As previously reported, Jaws Clancy was charged with first degree murder of her three children in their Ducksbury home on January 24th, 2023. The jurors had to unanimously vote for one of the five verdicts, not guilty by a reason of insanity, not guilty, first degree murder,

30:42second degree murder or manslaughter. She's off-skate free on all five charges. If you read further into this, she did speak heavily into our mental health, which is why I'm surprised like the insanity thing didn't go. But I think it was more so her leaning into postpartum. If you go into the evidence, a lot of people put on their detective hats, and we're like, why is it the father being brought in? Because they feel like he may have had something to do with it. I'm not going to lie to this. It's weird, right? Because black lives don't matter in this country, but it's really, really interesting to me how sometimes children's lives don't matter. Like this reminded me, especially coming from Florida, the KC Anthony, that little girl never getting justice. The other little girl, I can't remember her name, it starts with a B,

31:44she was the pageant girl. Oh, Jambanay Ramsey. Jambanay Ramsey. It was really interesting to me, but I'm curious your thoughts, because I know you did some bigger digging. What are your thoughts, J? So there's a lot going on here. First thing first is like, piece of that family, like I know people talking about the husband and all that kind of stuff, from what the jurors said, they played that 911 call that he made after he discovered all this, and they said that some of the most horrifying should they ever heard on a 911 call from how he sounded, like how he was screaming and yelling, and they were very affected by that. I don't know. I didn't do, I didn't have enough information to know about the husband. And honestly, it sounds like nobody does because it kind of feels speculative. Right. And it's, it's not a trial, so there was no evidence presented about him. So I don't know why people hung up on that part of it. Conspiracy theory all the time. But I think the thing that struck me the most, what two things?

32:48A, conservatives seem very convinced that this lady purposely murdered her children like in cold blood. So that, I'm not going to hold you. It's gonna be a little bit of pause when I see people like making Kelly or the Fox news. When they're going super hard on it, I'm like, let me see what else is going on here. But the bigger thing was that people seem to misunderstand mental health and mental health issues. Right. And we talked about that a couple of weeks ago, but what do you mean by that? So like this woman was, what it sounds like was clearly suffering from like a severe case of postpart. Had, even before the murder took place was googling a lot of information about mental health and suicide and, and all these things trying to kind of self diagnose and maybe try to further understand what was going on with her.

33:48But the idea that the thing that seems to be the real striking point of this case is the woman admits that she killed the kid. She literally admitted it. So it's not a matter of whether she did it or not. It's under the circumstances that she did it that were really arguing here. And so if this woman was struggling with mental health, having severe postpartum issues at a very bad rate, her having those issues does not mean that like she used something like Raven Looner tick that can't think. Right. Because people would say, oh, well, how could you send your husband out for take out food and still be having a psychosis at the same time? Well, I'm like, well, psychosis doesn't mean that you can't function in society. It means you're having stuff going on in your brain that might be detached from reality. So it's hard to tell whether or not she was going through that episode when she killed the kids. Because that would, that in this case, that's literally what we're talking about.

34:50If you're saying it's first degree murder, then you're saying she did this with full awareness of everything, did it on purpose, wasn't experiencing anything, what her mental state was, doesn't matter. And what we know for a fact is that if you're going through a mental health crisis, for those who've never been around, people struggling with mental health, maybe you don't know what that looks like. But if you're seeing people with mental health issues, they don't know what's kind of going on. The person who stabbed killed someone on the belt line last weekend was experiencing a mental health crisis. That doesn't mean that they are not responsible for their actions in some kind of way. I think that's my problem with this. When we think of like the school shootings that take place, whether it's depression, whether it's, and a lot of times, mental health is involved in those. Mental health is involved with serial killers to an extent. Mental health is involved with so many times a kill or murder or whatever. Some violent crime. Some violent crime. Yeah. And a lot of those people still have to get their just do and bear the consequences of their actions.

35:55So when seeing this, and I'm curious to see how this lands, this is where also like the jury failed justice here. You think so? To me, I'm sorry, I don't think any, any person should be able to just get to go about their life after killing three children. But that's part of the problem though. I think that people are looking at the crime and it's such a heinous crime that people want the person who did it to be punished. People want punishment more than justice and they're not necessarily the same thing. No, they're not. However, we're not going to get too far into that. But by the time it comes out of the problem, if you kill someone, you do the time. Sometimes, but there's people in mental institutions who have done violent crime. But I don't even think that that takes away the fact that you did something that you did something wrong. Like to me, it's like murder, right? Like murder and rape. Those are the, I don't care how I happen.

36:56Like even drunk drivers, if you kill someone, you kill someone. There was a girl who left a New Year's party in Malibu a couple years ago. And she's still, I think facing her trial. And she got on her car drunk. She was under something else, kind of just like mental health, right? If you're drinking, you're not in your right state of mind. And if you're in a mental health psychosis, you're not in your right state of mind. If you do something like kill somebody or violate someone, I do believe punishment should be some handed down to you in terms of some level of crime. You don't get to use the justification or it shouldn't be even with other people to justify. Well, they weren't in their right state of mind. A lot of motherfuckers don't be in their right state of mind. If you take away a life, and in this case, you took away three children. Bro, there's no way that even conservatives are arguing this to me when, especially while y'all are pro light, pro light, pro light, pro light. That's why I don't understand why does life not matter when life is on this earth? Well, that's what this looks like. It doesn't matter when it's in the mood, when it's in the womb, but this woman killed three kids.

And not, and you didn't even knock out of that after the first one. You did it two more times. Yeah. You got to, you got to fucking go under the jail, bitch. Under it. So here's the thing, right? It kind of depends on what you believe based on the evidence. What you believe this woman's mind frame is at the time. That's really the case. Again, there's no argument about whether she did it or not. That's, that part of the already established is fact. The question is, is it a first degree murder, which means a premeditated crime? She was googling stuff. Well, she was googling stuff, but not about killing her kids. But here she was googling stuff about like, what, what is my mental state?

So, we didn't really get to talk about the case in Florida where a girl is standing trial because her brother was getting jumped by four guys. She let up around, shot one guy, and she ended up shooting another guy. Right. They said that there was no longer a threat after one guy got shot and the rounds went off.

43:06Right. To me, heart keeps- Heart trial is now based on the fact that she kept shooting and killed someone else. Yeah. It's based on the second person she killed. So, to me, killing one person not premeditated. You killing three, not even people, three children, the same way, and not stopping at all. There has to be even a level to me, and again, I'm not a lawyer, but of premeditation of going about doing it to a second and a third person. Well, the legal standard, and I'm not a lawyer either, but from what I understand, the legal standard of premeditation is not necessarily in the moment. It's, what did you, prior to the act happening, what were you doing? You know, if you premeditation would be, I went to Home Depot and bought a bunch of tarps and some lie, and I bought a saw, and then I used that- What did she, what did she strangle them with? Exercise bands. They were like, if you were rubber bands, you were, you were thigh exercises or arm exercises. She strangle the kids with exercise bands. Now, they're saying that there was no DNA found, of her DNA found on these exercise bands.

44:11That was part of the trial. So, that's part, I think that's some of why people were saying, look at the husband, look at the husband, I don't know under who she wearing gloves. I don't know how she did it as far as like the whole circumference. But even that to me, if there was gloves, that's premeditated, baby. Well, that could be argued. And again, maybe not again, that could be argued. Right. I want to go back to the question, because I do like how you said, justice and punishment aren't the same. What does that look like to you? What is the distinction between the two? Well, in this case, justice is, if you, if you're finding as a juror, is that she was a clear, clear sound mind and she did this on purpose, all other circumstances, notwithstanding, then you have to go to jail. Right. Or, I don't know if this was in, what was this at? This was in, it wasn't Florida. I forget what it was. Massachusetts. They probably don't have the def penalty up there, because Northeast doesn't play that shit. It's a blue state. Yeah, yeah, it's one of the same blue states don't normally play that shit. So whatever the maximum sentence is, if it's life or whatever the case is, then you have to go to jail for that.

45:12Right. Punishment is really what the one juror who held out was 111 vote. Yeah. It was at 939 women, 3 men. 11 jurors felt like this woman was not of sound mind and wanted to get her, not guilty by reason of insanity. The one holdout juror, which is what makes it even more fucked up, is that the one juror got convinced that, okay, there is a reasonable doubt that maybe she did this, but I'm still not going to vote for the insanity plea, which says to me, he could, and the women said this, and this is what, like, Megan Kelly and some of the conservative people are pissed off about, because he said, okay, yeah, I do have some reasonable doubt that she did this on purpose at his first degree murder, but I'm not going to vote for it. And he's basically saying, this shit was so fucked up. I don't care if she was of sound mind or not. I want her punished for killing the three kids. As a juror, that's not your job. Job, honest.

46:12That's not your job. You want her to suffer for what she did, which I understand. And he didn't view jail time as suffering. No, he didn't view a mental institution as suffering. Which is what he wanted. He wanted her. Yeah. If it was not guilty by reason of insanity, I'm not sure the retrial situation of that. Like, you can appeal. But he said, according to the other jurors, that he said, okay, yeah, maybe there was reasonable doubt, but I'm not going to vote for that because he didn't like the optics of it essentially of you getting off, getting off because you killed three babies. That's not your job. That's not your job. Your job is look at the facts and say, this is what I believe happened and vote based on that. And there should have been some, and I don't know how someone didn't talk him into. Do you realize that she's completely free if you don't, if you don't align on one guilty verdict? Well, because there's a mistrial, she can be tried again. We'll see how they take that up. But then, but even during that, she's free though.

47:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, she's not going to be in jail. Yeah, yeah, she's going to go about our life. Now, where the other jurors who did wanted to give her the insanity plea fucked up is that one of them in an interview came out and did the exact same thing that he did. She says, oh, well, you know, at first, when I first got on to the case, I thought that she was guilty of first degree murder. And maybe I still believe that, but this woman is fucked up. And so if I put her in prison, she's not going to get help of her mental insanity. She needs to be in somewhere that's going to give her help for her mental issues. That's not your job. That's not your man. Because that's, that's now, now you're fighting the systems that we. They call it during notification, essentially, you're saying that you voted to let her off, even though you think she might have actually did. But also because you think that she needs help. She needs help. But you're saying you can't have it both way. And everyone's trying to navigate this, this gray area of like, okay, I think she did it on purpose.

48:13But I'm not voting for the, I think she might be insane or might, sorry, not saying, but she might have a mental health issue. But I'm not going to go for that because she killed three babies. I can't let that rise. She has to go to hell for this. I ain't going to lie. I want to get strangled. I don't care. I said it just like she did in babies. Like I, I really, I'm disgusted by the crime itself. Yeah, I'm disgusted by the crime itself. So we're like, like I said, I don't have any empathy for people who violate and treat human beings this way. And that was especially when it's, when it results in the loss of life. Yeah, life was life with children. Yeah. It's a sensitive thing. But there was a big beef outside this courthouse because there's protesters the same way there's protesters for everything now. Yeah. There's people outside of courthouse who are like, I can't believe she didn't see this case. I had no idea. Who you put in the doc. I had never heard his name. Well, that's what a new flash. There's a new incident similar scenario in Ellen right after this in Illinois.

49:14Illinois woman was reporting. Why are you saying this? I'm just saying this. I'm just saying this. Oh my god. Like, like, I said, it's just Illinois. Jesus, right? I'm gonna do this. Yeah. They said she was heavily vested into the Lindsay Clancy trial. Yes. Wait, wait. So she killed her kid after they're calling her a Clancy copycat. Yes, they're saying, yeah. And so yeah, I mean, her about the trial. Well, it just happened. Yeah, it just happened. Like in the midst of all this going on to just have. Yeah, but I'm not even gonna lie. They said the mother was charged with murder. The mother charged with murder was in a psychotic state at the time of son strangling. So now we'll see how attorney says. Right. And I don't know much because I'm not pregnant. I don't know postpartum goes all the way to 10 years old.

51:16I don't know what postpartum is normally after the like. I don't know the rain. I don't know. You look up how long you can be in postpartum as a mom. Because okay, cool. Someone would struggle with it for a long time. I don't know. For 10 years. Yeah, I don't know. 10 years is my case. I would assume that you know, support system and having a big part of it. Several several several months typically without. Standard is three to six months. So even that. And here's my problem with this case. The idea that now. Mothers may be able to or jurors may be able to lean into this. And now not give guilty verdicts on mothers killing their kids. Is it it all becomes a slippery slope every time we get one of these cases. I think the main thing. With this case as opposed to some other cases that that you could use as a quote unquote excuse is that. She had been diagnosed and having these issues. Well before this took place because one of the oldest kids.

52:18I but she had like a very small child. But I think one of these kids was like a few years old. Yeah, it's Chris. So you know, the whole thing is any case study prior to this that they they they are well known to me. This is a a hung jury based on. How the juror wanted the punishment to be. Yeah, that was about them seeing a former. Yeah, now want to get into let's have some fun. She that was a little dark. That was very dark. That was a little dark. We're taking it to California. I'm sorry if that if my vocals are not any of the mic either guys. It was good. I kind of sounded alright. Um, y'all so there are bills being proposed. That aren't going through and that also are being talked about online and bills being passed. I want to talk first about one. Now this allegedly there was it was allegedly proposed. I let deeper into it. Not sure when or where it was proposed but many people online are talking about. Oh, you know, this is going to site the internet. You know, all the way up. So I decided I was like, well, wherever it was proposed.

53:18This is an interesting conversation. So if you could play that clip. Um, a proposed bill was offering a sex release program for the unhoused where your tax dollars would fund pretty much a private freaky session for the unhoused. Let's listen to this guy break it down and his thoughts because he wasn't having it. Well, it looks like the good old left us out in California out there in Los Angeles. Uh, Mary Karen Bass and all of her left us. I got a lot of sex camps or something. I don't know some sex dens for the homeless take a listen. I'd like to propose that Los Angeles consider a pilot program for free, hygienic sexual relief clinics, primarily serving the homeless and unhoused. This means equality. It means private sexual relief through masturbation or where appropriate and consensual with a partner. All funded by public tax dollars and management professional oversight. Yeah, I know.

54:19I'm saying I'm going to take a lot of privacy down there. We have to. Yep. And all of that is going to be done on a taxpayer dollars because homeless people should have a place where they can text themselves and copulate just like the folks who pay for their own privacy. You know, how much more lunacy are the people in California going to put up with? What's the next step? We're going to start giving stipends to people to go visit prostitutes. Can't get it the the old fashioned way. I'm going to get it. I'm already giving out drugs. I'm telling you about places where people can go congregate and have sex and God knows what else. And just think about what these places are going to look like in just a few weeks. First off, the old fashioned way is I would argue is the prostitution. That is the old fashioned way.
