About this episode
Stephen Phillips and I talk all about that constantly nagging itch in the back of our heads to take the leap and make ceramics a full-time career rather than a side-hustle. We dive into how Stephen planned out initially starting his studio after his plan for the “safe route” of teaching didn’t work, and how he would use that same approach in preparation to go full-time (but he's not doing that yet, stop asking!)
Part of how Stephen and I originally connected was due to the IGTV episodes I was putting out to help other ceramicists take better photos of their work. You can check out all of those historical posts at my Instagram @themakersplaybook. BUT if you want the newest tips for taking better photos, faster, Click Here for my 3-step cheat sheet. In doing so, you'll sign up for my monthly insider tips that aren't published anywhere else and are geared specifically towards photography for ceramicists and makers.
If you love this conversation, as much as I did, I would so very much appreciate it if you took the time to leave a review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you're listening to this podcast. And as always, if this spurred questions for you, send me a DM on Instagram @themakersplaybook so we can queue up another episode specifically for you.
