Energy Vampires

About this episode

Someone once asked me, “How do you protect yourself from energy vampires?”
I said, “Garlic? A cross?”

She didn’t laugh. But the real answer was more useful than a joke.

If you believe that someone has the ability to drain your energy, you just handed them the keys. The belief itself is the open door.

I’ve been teaching NLP and Huna since the ’90s. One concept I come back to over and over is congruency. When your beliefs are solid and aligned, the door closes. You keep your energy.

You keep your focus. And when someone shows up looking to pull from the people around them, you make a clean decision. You disengage. You move on.

That works in a room full of students. It also works in a boardroom. It works in partnerships, negotiations, and every professional relationship where energy dynamics are at play.

It starts with beliefs. And beliefs can be changed.
