Endurance Athletes Need To Eat with Rachel Rutherford

About this episode

Rachel Rutherford (aka @pocketrocketrach online) is a three-time IRONMAN competitor, including having competed at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona. She has had to put training aside while she recovers from disordered eating which lead to RED-S syndrome (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) that hit a peak during her triathlon training, thanks to too much exercise and not nearly enough fuel (or the right kinds of fuel).  She's been sharing her journey openly online, and wants athletes to understand how important proper fuelling for the body is when you exercise at a high level for endurance sports, and what can happen if you don't pay attention.
