ELI CRANE | Fortitude and Courage in Congress
About this episode
Congressman Eli Crane is a former Navy Seal and the CEO of Bottle Breacher, which was featured on Shark Tank. He is a freshman member of Congress and he embodies fortitude and courage. In his first vote in Congress, he was one of a few Republican holdouts during the vote for Speaker of the House. He faced pressure from other members, the media, lobbyists, and special interests, but he never budged and he didn't compromise his principles. The people of Arizona's second congressional district won't have to worry about him abandoning them in Washington.
In the conversation, Eli Crane discusses how his experience in the SEAL teams prepared him for the pressure of working in Congress, specifically dealing with powerful people and standing up for his constituents in Washington. He discusses how he plans to be tough but loving in his approach, and how he hopes to maintain key relationships even as he fights for what he believes in.
