Hey Bob. How you doing? I'm pretty sure here with us today. Good lordy, we got so much going on. It's a, it's kind of a hectic time of year, but we're finding ourselves kind of getting ready for fall.

2:04Yeah, oh, oh, I sure hope we're getting ready for fall. Yeah, you know, I know that my, my body could really take maybe a good 90 degree day. Yeah, the respite from 105 to 90, that's a wild difference to think that, yeah, let's have that 90 degree day. Yeah, I love summertime. Just love summertime, but this is putting it to the test. I bet it is. It's like a nuts enough. Come on. We got like going on. We have this volunteer shaperone program that we talked about about a month or so ago, but we still need some folks. Yeah, we certainly do. So, Tom, this volunteer shaperone program is, it's a new program that we are starting at Eldercare. And it's, it's through a grant we received from the Community Care Corps organization. And they're going to help us fund this program. So essentially what this will be is, we will get volunteers who will come and then they will shaperone aging adults, adults with

3:05disabilities to medical appointments. It could be just a simple doctor's appointment. It could be an outpatient procedure because what we have found is that there are a lot of individuals who live alone or maybe their caretaker has other obligations and is unable to take them. And so they end up missing doctors appointments or they end up missing procedures, which then leads to hospitalization prematurely, which is not good. We're trying to avoid that if at all possible. So we've developed this volunteer shaperone program where individuals, as I said, will come and they will take somebody to their appointment. So we're launching this. We're calling it the soft launch on October 1st. We already have individuals who have signed up, who need to be taken to an appointment. And we are in that process now of developing that volunteer base. So what we'll do with the volunteers is we will provide all the training that they

4:07need. We will do basic life-stating CPR training in-house at Eldercare. We have trainers on-site. So everyone will go through that. We will provide them with all the things that they need for their vehicle. We'll call them, we'll call it a safety kit that they take with them. Basic first aid supplies could be a gate belt that you might need to help keep someone steady. From their home to the car, to the car, to the appointment, and so on. Roadside assistance things, that type of stuff for your vehicle. And then just basic overall training on how to deal with individuals in and out of a vehicle, taking them to the appointment. And then you're there to be that support for them. You're there to listen to be that extra ear when they're maybe getting some discharge instructions or just instructions from their primary care physician. And then you can report that back to the family or the caregiver. So we're really excited to start this. And as I

5:10said, and you said, we're looking for volunteers. We have a few, but it's going to take a lot more because we truly expect this to be an expanding program for us that will last long past the grant cycle. In fact, we'll be at the Hilton Garden in this evening. Yeah. The Barzell chambers having their business after hours, business expo. I believe 90 plus chamber members will be there with tables and booths and elder care will be there. We'll have information about this program. And we'll give you the opportunity to sign up. And then someone from elder care will be our community engagement coordinator. She will reach out to you and then begin scheduling the volunteer training because we're going to do those probably every five to 10 days over the next month until we launch. And then it's a full-go November 1st for this program. Well, very good. That's a great program. Yeah. Great program. Yeah. Well, I didn't say the elder Uber. I like the elder Uber. Wow. Well, you know, so many of the programs, most of the programs that elder care are focused on being able to make

6:15sure that the person can remain in their home and remain their healthy, safe, and the more you can do that, it's obviously saving them money, it's saving taxpayer money. Being able to safely be in your home is really the gist of so many of our programs. Absolutely. That's why we exist. Yeah. Wow. This is great. And to make sure that we continue with the existence, we do a little fundraiser here every now and then where we put a whole lot of fun in fundraising. Do we not? Yes, we do. Yes. What do we have coming up? Well, October 23rd. Wait, is that right? That's right. Yeah, sorry. Got a few things going on in my brain here and trying to look at my payout. Don't move too fast. We'll get to that later. October 23rd. We are bringing back bringing back clay self from the buzzard bar over in Ridgedale, Missouri. As being publicized by law. He's got he's a walking billboard for us. No, this is a fantastic fundraiser. It's our

7:20second year to do this in evening with clay. Again, October 23rd, seven to 10 pm at the center. So it's a Friday night. And if if you did not have the opportunity to come last year, you missed, first of all, a packed house at Hillcrest Country Club. Like we're bringing in more chairs and tables because good problem. It's a wonderful problem. The response was overwhelming. We were so excited. And then the entertainment, the show that clay puts on, how do you describe it? It's really hard to describe it. The second to none. I mean, he's a fabulous entertainer. He's a fabulous musician, humor, jokes. He had the room everybody having such a great time. I've had the honor to know clay for gosh, it's been probably almost 30 years now. Wow. And you know, he performs six nights a week at the buzzard bar at the big cedar lodge to a

8:24sell out packed house every night. And we're just fortunate that we could prime away from from big cedar lodge to come perform and entertain. But it is like Michael says, if if you were there last year, you'll be there this year. Absolutely. It's that good. You're like, okay, I'm not going to miss that show. Wow. And to get him away from the steady gig like that, that's that almost impossible. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. That comes down to relationships. Yeah, good. And so we're very grateful for Bob in that relationship. Clay's a big deal. You know, he's a huge there are people who go, who's this clay self-fellow? We were meeting a few weeks ago with some of the planning and Bob pulls out his phone and goes, oh, here's a photo of Clay a couple of weeks ago up in Kenna Bunkport with the bushes playing some music for him. Yeah, oh, okay. Wow. So Bob's a phone call away from George Bush, which I think beats Prismatiala because he always says he's like a call away from. No, bachelor, I'm sure it's close

9:26with an eye on him. I don't I don't try to compete there. But anyway, no, it's we're looking forward to it because it'll be I think allow it even larger crowd at the center. Absolutely. I mean, what we had last year and it's a perfect setting for it. And we expect another full house. So it's it's not more really looking forward to. Yeah, the fire Marshall has been alerted. He had you go. He's better be. Yeah, no, we didn't know. So we're still currently soliciting sponsorships. We're trying to find individuals, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, businesses to come along and sponsor with us. This will fit real nice with all of those. With all of them. Absolutely. It really it's a it's a clean family fun. Just an exciting and entertaining evening. So we've got four sponsorship levels. We've got our honky-tongue headliner as $2,500 and that's going to reserve you a prime table. And then there's drinks included with that

12:38and this guy started playing the guitar. And I convinced my son. I said, let's stick around. This guy may be kind of good. And just fell in love with his act. I was at Willarok at the time. And so I went to him and introduced myself. And we had him perform at at Willarok for our members. Oh gosh, three or four times to great crowds, great time. And Clay always says the frasures have always been loyal supporters. They were nice enough that their kids grew up here at the Buzzard bar. All American family. You know, it's doing it right. But he's terrific. And as I said last year, people buy a ticket and come, I guarantee you're going to have a great time. There's no question. That is great. Well worth the money spent. And of course, not only do you get a good time, we get more years out of our care. Absolutely. Yeah. And reinvesting in our community is really what we do here. Exactly.
