in case you missed it coming up in about uh... twenty minutes here on the show nicknames a p back with you the time munchen show coming up at seven o'clock tonight but it's interesting uh... you don't see uh... baseball beat reporters right headlines like this often but is uh... is the guardos move on to hopefully a series they can win uh... uh... paul hoins wrote the headline uh... that that basically implies that hoes error mirrors is hurting the guardians right now he could be the reason they miss the playoffs that i was we will compromise to is there is cost guardians postseason spot and it i'd uh... hoins is just not the guy never write that headline you know that he might not have to that might be that them you know either they'd have somebody that comes up with the headlines but it's going off of what his commentary was in the article right and in the article uh... you make a pretty damn in case all things considered i mean if you go through what j-ram has a really lack of production he's got four rbis in august twenty fifth the all

came in one game and his last nine games nickies five for thirty six no extra base hits no rbis and that's right there's there's no denying that we're playing with a less than hoes error mirrors the question is whether or not the guardians should still be playing a less than hoes error mirrors i think we've we've talked enough about j-ram i think i know where you're going with this and i think we're in lockstep and that you continue to play j-ram maybe that it's not the worst idea to uh... maybe play a little bit of a elusive schedule with j-ram the difference when you know we had we started having this conversation about a four weeks ago and at the time my answer was you want to see more gay barious uh... since then uh... now is come up and really started to play really well and teased a lot of potential and she meant is also back and yet my answer hasn't changed my big rebuttal four weeks ago was well who you're gonna play there yep nobody you have guys now but i don't understand i'd i'd god bless the guardians fans that are doing this but to the guardians fans that simply can't look at what hoes error mirrors is

doing and playing hurt and playing and he came back too soon i think we know that now from the hamay bone injury yeah and instead of saying you're playing like garbage get out of here i don't know how you can't just say thank you hoesy uh... that guy is given this town his absolute heart and soul and it him playing through injury this isn't about ego like it is for some guys he's doing it because he's going out there to try and give his best every single day because that's how much he cares about this team in this town and the idea that we've gotten to a point is a society where we're just such zero sum about every single thing on this planet that we can't just say thank you hoesay i again i think it's a vocal minority of guardians fans but it drives me up the stinkin wall so it's interesting about this is that i think most situations if the guardians had to play off spot locked up you can make an all you can make an argument be like alright sit on for two or three weeks and just see if it helps at all you know see it then you get into the postseason and then you can you can really

go but they the guardians guardians are locked in for the postseason you know it this next three way three weeks to side your everything as far as the season is concerned and so it really does become a real tug and pull what's interesting is how they're very cautious with the water and rightfully so i and i would imagine that means that with j ram j ram is the one telling them that i want to be out in the field yeah i would imagine they would be cautious with j ram if j ram was instructing them to be cautious he's not and because he's not he's earned it through the did the years that he's been here he's earned the right to say i'm ready to play and i want to play and uh... um i think it's something you can accept i think there's been this weird turn and i may be at social media maybe it's being uh... readily available or having access to everyone's thoughts so you see more uh... you know a cornucopia of thoughts in sports we used to love in sports when a guy was out there playing hurt and giving his and playing his guts out for for his team

and there was an understanding of like that guy is putting it on the line he doesn't feel well but he's giving us everything he can and at the first time i noticed it in cleveland that this is this was not unanimous was baker in baker in two thousand and twenty one where people looked at and said no you're hurting the team get off the field and i looked at it again i was in charlotte but i looked at and saying that guy looks like he barely move is restricted because of that brace and he's out there every week running around taking shots the whole north of the ball too long i love that from players and hosey to me that like the baker thing i understood because he he is he's baker and he was a lightning rod for a lot of people i thought hosey was safe safe harbor no so here's the i think the difference here though and this is where i'll give guardians fans a lot of credit i think when watching these games i think you're seeing something out of hose a that you typically don't see which is and this was evident points pointed this out in his article we watched that game last night and you saw the you saw the error at third base that happened and jram hung his head after the game or after the the

error you know obviously a home run happened uh... you know next that that that is what that is but like we don't see jram do that that's not how jram operates he's always happy go lucky he makes a bad play he's not one to put his head down and and kind of really i don't know about about it and so i think there's a there's a frustration that is obvious that is built up within jram because he's not performing and so where i look at this is i almost feel like these are the guardians fans that are trying to almost protect jram and being like we're seeing the struggles we're seeing how this is going we're seeing you act in an uncharacteristic way like maybe maybe we need to recognize that this is a lot this is hurting you more than it is anything else listen everybody has different different reads and we're probably not looking at the same tweets and the same whatever uh... there's a crocodile tears to me and then not from hozy i mean from people being like do it for hozy um i want to make the playoffs in the worst way this year i i shouldn't even say that i want to i want to make the playoffs really bad this year because who knows in a really down year in the american league i you might be able to win a playoff series and i think that'd be a massive

win for a team that has been five hundred most of the year and has played some really dog but baseball in a couple really bad stretches this year i want to do with hozy and and and you know it's funny like my reaction to hozy hanging as had the other night was like that's my third basement like that's my guy that guy is really struggling out there and he's putting his heart on the line i just don't think makes me proud and i know it's so different than typical hozy that i think is the what stood out in that moment is you don't see him do that you realize how hard it is i'm not saying you i know you know how you watch a lot of sports and you understand the psychological part of this but like watching somebody who is that guy have him like he's he's a little beaten down right now and i listen i think that's i think that's what a lot of people are sensing right now not only are you seeing it with these at bats these at bats are i mean the power is absolutely gone and he's not coming you're leaving a lot of men on base when you're betting in the two spot or the three spot it's been the three spot in the stretch and just and just not getting the job done the way that he has listen if this thing's going to come down to one game which it

likely is if that one game is a game that hozy loses you i'm comfortable not being in the playoffs if this was the if this was the that's the garden the guardians have to have by the way and that's the mentality i think they should have is that it like j-ram he means so much to this organization that if he's struggling through this you just got a you got to bear it out with them and if the idea is that you missed the postseason well you're not you're fighting for this postseason more than anything you're fighting for years beyond and part of why j-ram took the discount that he did and is saved with cleave on the way he does for so long is because he trusted this organization is when he says i'm ready to play they're going to play him and they're not going to jerk him around hozy remeer is to me is the is one of the rare things that we ever get in sports i think baker would have eventually gotten there by the way with enough success um i think i think joe tom has got to this level uh in spite of a lack of team success when he played here there's very few athletes you'll ever hear me say i think are untouchable meaning if hozy remeer is wants to drag himself out there at third base and he makes errors and he hits

a buck 90 for the rest of the way and he is part of why you don't make the playoffs i'm sorry i'm simply going to look hozy remeer is in the face and say thank you because i can't imagine for a guy who is as happy you you mentioned having a lot of saying thank you but i just accept it i don't know when you feel like crap if it's here if it's if it's well maybe maybe succulent i know you love them succulent i do love it succulent i do i do i do go so far in the conversation i'm not going to be like thanks thanks for not me thanks for giving an attempt i probably would have been like well all right you battled i appreciate it against the battle part of this uh but i i it's i mean it's such a tough spot for everybody involved jarev clearly wants to play that's why he's out there but he is a clearly different ball player and has been for a month now and that's not even to bait i won't even debate it you're right by the way it's not debatable hozy's not playing good baseball right now but if hozy if hozy wants to go out there and support his teammates because i don't think it's just about hozy wants to go in and he wants to find it like i'm sure that's a part of this now he wants to prove to himself that he can do this i'm sure that is hozy's out there

because he he wants to be there for his teammates and i think he wants to be you know he takes i think this is a guy who buys into being the face of the franchise that's why he signed two contracts here and i i i i i know this is i never say this about anyone but i take immense pride in watching that guy fight those demons every day and i will hope until the last possible second this year that he puts it together i will if it's just one four for four game that puts you with the hump to get you into the playoffs in game 162 i'm hope i'm gonna hope that until he either ass out they either send him down or he actually has that game i know it's just it's odd though i mean even like he's not he's not stealing bases the way that he typically does which the handmade bone should not have affected he's also i got even like the the error we had yesterday in that game i mean i i understand it one of the crimes of jayram's career is he hasn't won a gold glove oddly enough but he's a very good defensive third baseman and that's taking a lapse and then i can't even begin to describe how bad he's been offensively and so i'm with you i give him i

you just you ride the pony that got you here and jayram did that for so many years that is what that is but it's it's pretty painful to watch and it's very evident that he is not he's just not the same player with this injury 216 474 0092 and niquelson says add j peterlin on social media do you want to bench hose ramirez i have stopped myself multiple times from respect i i try not to respond to somebody has a sports opinion that is a negative one and then i react to it because we only have between 140 and 280 characters and also like i like to use social media and i have fun i want to bring back fun twitter right that's great to go on i think yeah i might be going well i mean i'd like to eradicate a fair amount of twitter but i'd like to just keep the fun i missed the fun that was what a lot of us got on twitter for us to have fun talking about sports you know the biggest test has been people dogging hosey in a way that that it feels like they're attacking hosey has been come from twitter i mean this is this is the b-reporter

the guy that's covered his entire career asking this question is his his his that i think is a fair way of saying it but i think there've been again a vocal minority saying that hosey's being selfish or that hosey has washed or this that and the other and i just i think you speak a lot about what hosey has been the most loyal cleveland baseball player of the last 50 years and it's not close 90% of the great players that have come through 99% haven't signed a contract extension one let alone sign in two here and and certainly taking hometown discounts i i don't think i'll ever forget that about hosey remirais and i think some people i think a very few people have though i must have to leave in case you missed it in five minutes on ninety two three the fan
