Hi from the New America studio and brought to you by Northern Quest Resort in Casino. It's the Dave and Molly show. And it's a special Friday show. Oh, we made it to Friday and I believe it was full week, right? I was trying to get that. No, we worked Monday. Oh, we see it's full then. And we were talking about taking it off and then we said no. No. No. No. No. We work Fridays. We are that group. And we're ready for a three day, Labor Day weekend. Yeah. I'm gonna wait. Hey, what do you got over there? Put on the hat. Hang on a sec. Alright, just putting on a hat everybody. Look at that. Okay. Alright. You know it's a brand new hat because it's a brand new team because it is every year. I gave my Eagles t-shirt to Corey Howard yesterday and it is a crop top with a dual bedazzled and he sent me a photo of himself in it. Oh, he's perfect. I love it for his wife.

Well, that's what I said. But then he sent me a photo and I said, well, let's see that on TikTok. So I don't know if he did a TikTok of it or not. But he did send me an alley will even I will not going to show the audience, but I will pull it up. But so yeah. Don't bury the lead. You're the kind of giants hat on. She is a New York Giants fan. That's her team for this year. That's right. You know, this is this is the last weekend without NFL football until February. And so happy for you that it's all the happy for you. Here he is. Oh boy. And the tank tops. Not it's not the best look, but you know what he's going to do it. Yeah, I'm ready for the draft. I'm fifth overall. The what was your plan team? I got my quick picks, whatever and my eliminator thing and my invisible teams. And I got my hat on. Life is good. Yeah. Ready. Ready for football season. He could go fired up and kind of lost in all this. I know it's Labor Day weekend and all, but it's also apple cup.

Yeah. That's crazy. It's my hats. Three or six. Is it? Yeah. I'm just going to wear this stuff sticker on it. You know, I know that that's what the kids do. Well, some of them do. Oh, the kids lately the sticker on. They do. It's very important. You let us stick around. I saw you three different times yesterday. Did you hear? Oh. Then at Eastern. Yeah. And then the game last. That's right. It was a very busy day. Yeah, after finishing up here, I was able to actually got to go home for a quick minute, which was good because I needed to kind of regroup because we were doing a new America shoot. I was on Roos field at Eastern Washington University and right literally on the field. And they said where jeans and the Eastern Washington hoodie that you received last year. And I said, well, no problem. Sure. I have it. And it would never give it away. So I get to the house and I think, okay, where is it?

And I found it and everything was fine. But then I put on jeans for the first time since like March. Yeah. That's well. There's, you know, pants are so. They're confining their pants. Oh, yeah. I want to be free. I worked close to it. She was last night and I didn't like it. I like to wear my flip flops. Dallas actually texted this morning. He said, why is Dave wearing shorts? It's cold. I said, he dresses for the weather he wants. That's right. Yeah. And I don't think it's that cold. It's not. It's not that cold. Now it's where the seasons are definitely shifting. No. I think we're talking to Justin Spenney. But we did our K HQ update. Sam and Clier both out. And so Justin was our guy. So we did a whole segment with Justin about the hard working states. But anyway, he was talking about the unsettled weather throughout Liberty Weekend. But in general, it is a better forecast than it was like a couple days ago. So they say it's, there's still going to be some rain.

But it's, it's not going to be a lot. And it's going to come at times when it shouldn't affect a lot of us. So that's good. Hi, I'm Evan one today here in Spokane. That's pretty good. Yeah. I like that. Is it hard to take me seriously in my new giant hat? Oh, because you're writing the giant set. Yes. No. So anyway, we, I thought the, the shoot went very well at New America. They're very, they're very nice. That will be a commercial that you'll be seeing. I would think in the next week or so. Is it me or a swoop a little sassy or this year? Yeah. But swoop was very, um, Swoop is the Eastern mascot. Yeah, equal. Yeah, but a swoop had a lot of was doing a lot of like bits and was posing and dancing. Dancing. Dancing. Pretty good. They, uh, they're very good to us at America. Maria, who is the, you know, she has the agency that helps put all the New America commercials on and everything.

She knows what she's dealing with when she's dealing with us. Well, after the first two commercials, I think she realized this, this is not good. They don't, they don't have the capacity to remember words. So I'm going to have to write them out. Yeah. Even for me, and I had one sentence in each commercial, very little to say. And I still couldn't manage it. I was reading. But she covered for us. She had nice, big print of our like cue cards. And here comes Kelly, who is not an entertainer. And he had his memorized and he nailed it. And then there was me stumbling over one sentence that it was reading. I think it's the less you have to do that. When I looked it, I was like, well, I'll be fine. Yeah. If I had had a big chunk, I would have probably sat down and tried to remember. But I think you will. How hard could it be? Apparently. Well, I think we learned. They're very, they are very accommodating. Very nice.

And it's cool to be on the field. Yeah. I just think that's just a, you know, that's just a cool experience to be on a real football field. And they have a brand new track out there. And they said, well, that smell, it almost smells like fire or something. Or it's rubber. But they said the whole outside that they laid a brand new track. And that's pretty big deal for track and field. Yeah, for all that. So they'll play at home tomorrow. I don't know that they play tomorrow. That's a good question. I mean, you guys are going to a game later this month, right? I'm 26. Yeah, that's good. Yeah. Yeah. My pledge to go to an Eastern game this year. They're fun. Yeah. I enjoy. And it was kind of cool. Because as we were leaving, they had a wagon full of footballs. Yeah. I mean, if there's footballs, we got to throw them. Yeah. Yeah. Actually Kelly from New America, he wanted to challenge me to a field goal kicking contest. Yeah. But we didn't get the balls in time.

Oh. So we were just, we just, we just tossed them around. We didn't actually get to kick them. But I would like to see if I could kick one. I think that it would hurt. Well, and I realized how big, I'm still used to playing with the little footballs. You know, I always joke, a spiral to the numbers. Well, the little footballs, you can do that. I can't even get my hand. I was like, you have to almost spin it. I couldn't even reach around the thing. You were like doing a Philip Rivers, like throwing a toast or something. I was throwing a toast. That's exactly how it's felt. Well, anyway, so that went very well. And then headed back into town. I think that there was more drive time from driving to and from. If you add up all that time, that was longer than the time that we were on the field shooting the commercial. Probably so. But I thought the commercial shoot went very well. Very, very nice people. They helped us through it. So we finished that and then kind of regrouped a little bit. Got a few things done around the house. And then prepared for the last David Mollie night with a Spokane Indians, which by the way, I believe the weather was absolutely perfect.

It was wonderful. Yeah, I kept the jeans on just because I had jeans. But I should have went back to the head of short sleeve shirt on. It was fine. You didn't even bring a pullover or anything. I had one in the car. But I didn't need it. I thought it was perfect. Ken kept his shorts. I said, are you going to put long pants? He said, nope, not till Labor Day. Good for him, which is a few days away. But he, but he did have a pullover. He needed. I brought a jacket. I needed it. I decided to put a shirt on. Well, it was a great. We had a lot of our listeners that showed up for for for David Mollie night, including Michelle, who had her grandkids there, including one of them, all of her who got to throw the first pitch. He did a great job. He threw it. He got it over the. It's just a little to the right. I have a video of him. It was a law. It was a law. Yeah. He was adorable. But they had, yeah, that was so nice. She's Michelle is great. She always has several of her grandchildren with her. And so if she calls in or something, you can hear them in the background.

But she and her family were there. Very nice people. Lots, lots of listeners. And so it was it was great. I like Indians baseball. And it's kind of slightly sad just because I think that was the last game. Well, it is the last series that they have. Yeah. They'll close out the season on Sunday. And that was probably the last game for me this year. But it was fun. I enjoyed every single time I was out there. It's beautiful. But the David Mollie night were the best. They were the best. Yeah, we had Jill stop by to say hi. Number one, 97. Yep. And then Lisa Natasha were there. And then I like that our listeners will say, oh, yeah, I'm Michelle number 56. And oh, well, I'm Jill. I'm number one 97. Oh, yes, I remember you from this and this. And then they all talk to each other. And a lot of hype on the walk to quest. I was getting word from some of our listeners. H signed up for a t-shirt and a metal. He's walking. And he's trying to get other listeners. Because they're all friends, you know, they don't talk to each other. So he's he's walking to.

Oh, nice. I did hear that there's a hype team. Yes. And I think a few of our listeners have signed up for the hype team. Yeah. Which I believe is, I think it was a shirt, a metal. And then they meet us at Northern Quest. Yeah, I don't know if they get a metal for hype team. Maybe they do. But they do get a t-shirt. And I think it'll be a different t-shirt than the participant t-shirt. The hype team is the ones that are just going to be out there. So. And Lisa and Natasha joined us at the game. They kind of sat right in front of us. And it's going to be Lisa that plays you in the cast showdown today. Oh, my gosh. Because I will have the questions or Molly, who she's on. She's in the hot seat today. Okay. I'll see. I got all the questions ready to go. All right. And I was 100% honest. Keeping the integrity of the game. I revealed no questions to her. Did you have them formulated last night?

Oh, yeah, they were already. I showed them. I showed them to Nadine. And where did she scale? Because I like to sometimes run him by can and give him. Like, what's your scale? And he'll say, well, that's high hard ass area. Or did she say mid-ass rear? What? She, I don't know if that she gave me a response. Don't you be all right? All right. We'll see. There's a president question. There's a Spokane question. There's a sports question. There's a little bit of everything. I'll type it. There's math. There is one math question. Not good on math question. Although I have gotten the two right. Well, it's a trigonometry question. Oh, good. That are biology. Just a German. So that'll be fine. We'll do that about eight o'clock. Kate Hudson will be joining us as well. Oh, good. So I think it's going to be a good day. Good one. I think it's going to be a good day. Good one. I think it's going to be a good day. I think it's going to be a good day. Good one to close out the week. And then kick off a three day weekend. Three day weekend. Yes. How much did you. How much food did you have at the game? I had a missile and a half.

Okay. And some peanuts and half of a beer. A light beer, which my boyfriend refused to drink the rest of. Like just drink the beer. Why would you want to? Because he doesn't like the bad light. Oh. I normally. I'm not going to drink the beer. I'm not going to drink the beer. I'm not going to drink the beer. I'm not going to drink the beer. I'll not drink the beer. Really. Oh. I normally I'm just not a beer person anyway. But on it, I liked that case. I don't want a big IPA, you know. So yesterday I was, I was counting down the things that I did. And I can't believe in Spokane, Washington where we live. That this is what my day was. A four hour podcast. Top notch podcast. Top notch. Yeah. for a few minutes to get some stuff settled and then to the NPR studios, KPPX. And we do an interview. My mom and I did an interview with Kirsten Weber, who I hear on the air all the time. And remember, my NPR thing is like, I'm the biggest nerd. I know all the

personalities, all I listen to, I love it when I'm not here, you know, well being in that studio was pretty amazing. So my mom and I do a little interview. It's going to be like errant at another time. Oh, it was just a recording. It's a recording. And they'll air it like they'll cut it down and air it and then put it on their website. So that was a big deal. I was excited. So we're there. Then drive out to Rusefield and do a television commercial. So now we've done podcast, we've done radio, we're doing television. Then I get to go to the casino for a little bit. It's okay in Washington. Yeah. I was on my way home. My card was like, so I can lose ups and downs, mostly ups. It was fun. It was fun. I was on a limited time. And it was just I was pretty even. So they're like an hour and a half. So that's fun. Spoke in Washington. Then I get to go home put on my David Molly sweatshirt and at the day of Molly night at our beautiful, you know, stadium. And I get to do the radio show thing with Mike Boyle. Oh, yes. Yeah.

And so and I'm thinking about all the different things that I got to do in a day and right here in Spoke can't and how I feel so lucky that all of this happens. Plus I get to see my mom. We get to be with people we like, get to meet really nice listeners and talk to really nice people and watch alley throw out a pitch that's going to be a life memory. And just it was just like one of those days where it all stabbed. It was a great day. Who would think that you could do all those things and be able to live in a place that you like so much. So it was a very good day. But it was busy. And so by the time the fourth inning came along last night or whatever it was. First of all, let me just say the Mike Boyle interview thing. He is remarkable. And I know you've said this before. But so basically you get to go all the way to the top of the stadium, which was kind of scary. That walk up there. A little where you walk across the little metal bridge. Yeah. And auto said it's going to shake. He said, you're okay. He said, I'll watch. So if it shakes for you, imagine how it shakes for me. It was like, but I took a beautiful picture looking

back at the sunset. It was so pretty. Then you go up there and you have this eagle eye view of Indian stadium, which is or not Indian. What do they call it? A Vista stadium. And then he's in a little teeny booth. And then you put your head set on. And we used to work together at the old station. So we start talking about old times. We used to play softball and how we didn't want to get up on Sundays anymore. And it would go into the fall. And it would be a cold Sunday morning. And all of us would be in that why are we doing this? We're just going to get hurt. But Keith, I was on the team, both Chris Crocker and Robin Nance were on our team. Colley was on the team. Harry husband was on the team. And we had a pretty good and Dave Spencer. But the guys were so serious. So we were laughing about that. He said, Oh, I know we were very serious. And I said, I just I like to stay over to the right side. I don't I didn't want to get into the fray of stuff. But we were talking about that. And then I was saying he was asking about the podcast. And he said, you know, what do you like about it? And I said, well, we get to do what we want. So we get to explore nonprofits that they want to come on. We don't have to

answer to anybody. We get to do what we want to do with the show and the music. Anyway, he was he was great. He was very, very nice. And it was fun to talk to him. But in the middle of talking, he would announce what was going on on the field. He's still calling the game. Yeah, score it. So he's like, I'm so happy. He's a one man show. Yeah. Molly Allen from the David Mollie show. That is a little dribbler to the left side. But her Nanda has picked it up. And she is from the David Mollie show podcast. So I'm like, and he did it eight times during the thing because something would happen. So that was pretty amazing. But the view when I was up there, I think it was there were a couple of foul balls that went off. And so did he show you the spot where one came up into the room? No, there's a big hole in the wall. Right? Like, you know, where where you were, if you were to look straight back, yeah, the wall in the little hallway there, there's a big like, oh my god, where a ball came flying up there, uninhibited and just crashed

into it. Yeah. Yeah. Because there's no, there's no screen in front of them. I mean, so and so let me ask this, the people who are on the, you know, they're up a long table and they have computers and stuff. What are they doing? That's mostly the electronic scoreboard. And like, there's a, there's the music guy too. Oh, all right. And, you know, it was funny. The guy, there was a man who greeted even though auto, whoever paid nose auto was up there and this man greeted me. He said, would you like a water? And I said, I would love a water. And he handed it to me. He said, it's a lovely vintage. And I said, and I took the lid off of the aquafine and I said, and then I switched a little round to my mouth. I said, that's an excellent vintage. Thank you. It was our little joke. And then later, he said, he's ma'am, enjoy the rest of your bottle as you take it back to your seat. They were very accommodating. But we got there early and set up the tent and we set up the table and

had some very nice people come by and say, hi, it's just, it was just a great day. I just, I was telling my friend Steve because we were talking about the interview that my mom did and that's about something else that we did in Spokane that we were able to manage to make our little movie and stuff. And I thought, all of this is happening. Plus, there's a casino on my way home. I live in the greatest place in the world. And then we got home. So we did leave. Plus our drive was a super easy. So Ken was at my house when I got there. And we just went straight like mission the back way instead of the highway. And it was super easy to get there. We get there. We set everything up. We said, hi to everybody. And then on the way out, we had to go take down all this stuff and pack it up and then get it in the car. But we were home within 15 minutes or something. It was great. So we set up for a little while. But then I actually turned on a sign felt episode that I had never seen before. It's the one where,

first of all, George is biting his nails. But Jerry's dating a girl who works in a bookstore. But then when Kramer meets her, he falls in love and he thinks it's his soul mate. Have you ever seen that episode? I've seen them all. I don't remember. He just decides that this is his soul mate. And meanwhile, George is putting a tape recorder in his briefcase and leaving it behind in the boardroom to see what people are saying about him. They always have five things going on. And Elaine meets a guy. Anyway, it was, oh, I said, I've never seen this episode, which is, that is hard to do. Not see an assigned fill episode. So I was like, this is a great oh, and that was out. You didn't make it in the middle. 22 minutes. No, even though I had never seen it. Well, you had a full day. I said, I'm rolling over now. And I was very well behaved. I had half of that beer. I did have a missile and a half and some missiles and then Natasha evil Natasha comes up with a bucket of warm cookies. That is the,

they are on to something at the Indian's game. So yeah, it was a bucket of cookie. There's 36 cookies. In the bucket and it sells for $26. And every, and I had truth be told, I had two of them. And they were both warm and they were, it was just like they were fresh made. And then when we were leaving, you can smell where they were making them. Like this smell is just, you know, chocolate chip cookie smell is pretty good. Yes. Yeah, it is. It's one of the best baking smells. I really overdid it. I kind of, I probably should have just had one hot dog, a K A pork missile. But I got two and then Nadine likes to have a bite before I put all the stuff for before I defile it as she says. So, so she had a bite of each one. And then so I had the rest of the hot dogs had the bag of peanuts and then she had the chicken case of the it, which I had.

And I think they can't, I think there was three, you know, slices or whatever triangles. And I had one of them. So I had that, the two hot dogs, most of two hot dogs, full bag of peanuts, two things of wine. Man. Yes. And that was, that was not a good idea. And the cookies too, the cookies. When the cookies too, I had two cookies. Although one, the second cookie that I had was a very small one. Oh. Yeah. So, well, I had a dream, a very vivid dream that I ate a giant, warm chocolate brownie right before bed. And I, in my dream, I thought, what, I'm, who do I think I am? I will never sleep tonight. And I woke up this morning thinking, I'm really glad that I didn't do that because it was so vivid and it must have been because of the chocolate cookie. Because usually at that hour, and I said, Dari, I said, I'm probably not going to sleep tonight. And I only had one that's, that hour, that sugar. And I just, I was very worried. But I slept, slept just fine. All I ate

yesterday, I don't know what I had before the soup. I must have had something. But I made a soup. Oh, the soup. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I had, oh, I know I had leftover drunken noodles. It was like a little container. So that's what I had. And then I made us our soup. And the soup was all I had all the way until the pork missiles. And a couple of bites of like little, like chip things at home, but no other food food. How many cookies do you have? One. Oh, you only had one. I didn't even want to have one. I wanted to have a bite of one, but I was handed one. And that would be rude not to have one. Somebody buys you a bucket of cookies. You, you have at least a bucket of cookie. You have a cookie or two. So I, I, when we finally, oh, okay, wait, let's go back. The kid who's saying the national anthem. Oh my God. That, that kid was crazy, talented. He's like, gone 14, 15. That was good. Yeah. He was great. And his mom was in the little dugout with us, you know, because we were all waiting. And she's a listener. And I guess she used to work at a phone place. And so anyway, we were talking. But so we were kind of waiting, thinking the national

anthem was going to happen. So we were waiting down at the thing for a long time. And I'm getting hungry, aren't hungry. Because I haven't eaten since the soup. And then we, it's determined, no, we're, let's make our way up. And then we get up. And then he does the national anthem. And then we can finally get our pork missiles. Well, then I have to go to the bathroom. And I thought, I don't want to lose my place in line. So I put Ken in charge. And I said, two hot dogs and a blood light. Don't mess it up. Don't mess it up. Well, I won $10. I got $10 in my dog. That's right. It was $10. But I got 10% off in the gift shop. Oh, that workout. Well, we haven't cast it in yet. Well, I got the $10. And then the second, so he orders one hot dog, I order two. Well, I can already tell that there's no way I'm getting that second hot dog to myself. Even though I wanted the second hot dog. So then he's looking at that second hot dog. And I said, would you like to spit it? Was I ball on it? Do you like to split it with me? And he,

he said, yes. And then he, uh, I said, well, what are we going to put on it? Because if this is, by rights, this is my hot dog. So I get to rule. And he said, I will duplicate what you just did on this one. So I only had one and a half. I wanted all what you put on the hot dog, uh, ketchup mustard and relish. Okay. Respectable. He just put ketchup and relish on the first one. You got to mustard. Uh, I think you got to have mustard. I did see somebody when I was waiting to put on one of the condiments. There was a guy and he was, he had a little, like, a little container of, like jalapenos. And I guess you can ask for those. And I didn't think to do that. I bet you could ask for onions too. Probably good. I would make a case for pico de gallo on there. Good. That would be the good taste that made us stuff. But so I ended up with a, and then I saw that he was, he would after the half first, he was ready first. And he was almost one bite into many. Like, I looked at him,

gave him the look. You saved me half the missile. So sometimes they get over zealous the boys. He ran into so many people he knew. Oh my god. Everywhere we turned around, he knew somebody. Yeah, I, they had so like a firefighter night there. Oh, that's probably why. Like a first responder night. Yeah. Appreciation night or something. Yeah. So a good night's sleep and up and ready to go today. I feel pretty good. I feel so much better than I did earlier this week. Even without the magic soup, a lot of hype on the magic soup last night. People were asking a lot of questions about the magic soup. They didn't even have the magic soup. But you didn't get the magic soup. No, but it was still pretty good. Was it? And you made, yeah, it was very good. And it was the first time it's ever been consumed by any human anywhere in history. Yeah. Because you combined two soups. I did. No one's never done that before. Never happened before. There wasn't enough broth in the chicken noodle. I would actually like if they have it today. And I could call, I would like some today. I think that some magic soup would send me into my weekend. I think it would be a good prep for the weekend. With your giant hat on. I'm wearing this all the time now.

I already put it on now. I'm going to have you on where that one time? No, no, no, no, sir. I wear hats all the time. I wear them on walks and stuff. And now this will be. But what if I get, see, I don't know the dynamics. I don't know if I, if I will get dirty looks, does anybody have besides the Eagles fans a problem with the giant? Oh, yeah. Well, Dallas. Well, we don't care about them. Okay. Dallas Eagles Redskins or commanders. We don't care about that. They're all, they're all in the same division. But they're all school rivals. I have a dear friend who was an Eagles fan. You know, I don't know. There's people everywhere. You know, like we, you know, I've adopted the redsocks, you know, Nadine's big redsocks fans. So we were watching the Redsocks game up in the, at the Indians game last night watching the final thing of that. And then a Redsock guy walked by. And a Redsock shirt on. You know, you see everybody I saw Cincinnati Reds hat. I mean, everybody has their own. It's everybody's, everybody's cool. Okay. You may get, you may get,

because the giants have a pretty good fan base. You may get, you know, a couple of thumbs up, hey, your giants fan. And then they're going to say, well, who's your favorite player? What do you, what do you think of the team this year? What do you think of the new coach? All that kind of stuff? You got to be prepared to answer that because you were in the hat. Well, here's what I'll say. I'll say, you know, I, I, Jackson Dart is looking good. The scataboo thing. He's really pissed and some people off on the team. But I think Harbo is going to corral him because he's really, really good at that. That's all you need. By the time the season really kicks off, he'll be fine. There you go. I got that directly from our friend Kelly upstairs. He's the one when I was on the Viking kick and the Lion kick. He would come to me with insight with information about my team. And he'd say, are you sure you want to do this because this and this is happening? And I said, you're always the one because we rarely see those guys. But later on, I have to repost. This is the date that I announced to you and Quinn that there would be commercials in the red zone last year. Oh, you guys destroyed the studio. Oh, that's right. Yeah, we were outraged. Yeah,

I'll repost it on our Facebook. That was a year ago. Yeah, it came up in my memories. Yeah, we're when we're in the upstairs studio. When did we move to the studio? Was it October? I was October or something. Yeah. Anyway. And then Nadine did check in. She saw the questions. She's the only person that has seen the questions. She said they mid-assery great variety. Oh, excellent. Okay. You'll be okay. All right. I think it'll be fun questions. Okay. A little bit of everything. All right. That'll be it. Eight o'clock. And I just saw Kate Hudson walk by. Oh, good. She's going to join us around 730. Find out what's going on. We missed her last week. Yeah. And I imagine there's stuff going on in town this week and four in a day. The two major concerts. You got the Benson Boone, which was rescheduled because that was originally on one of the Firenights. Yes. And so it was it's an arena show. And so then that has been rescheduled to Sunday night. And then you got Earth Wind and Fire on Sunday. On the same night.

Same night. Oh. Yeah. Okay. And you claim that I'll be going to the came Earth Wind and Fire. I think so. Yeah. You want to go? I want to go. Okay. I want to go. Everything's going to be fine. Okay. And we went through all the Earth Wind and Fire hits a lot a lot of feet on that too. People said they love they love our medley of songs. Yes. We went through that and the Chicago set list. Chicago's list is a lot longer. And then we have on good authority that nobody's opening for Earth Wind and Fire and they're done by 915. Yep. Just the way the good Lord meant it. They're going to go on at 730 and go to 915. Brilliant. That's pretty good. That's good show. Great. I love it. About an hour and a half. Actually a little more than an hour and a half. Good. Even I can sit through an hour and 45 minutes. Even she. Even I. The music's are. So yeah, a lot of sports yesterday. We were on a football field. Yes. We were on a baseball field. I love walking out on the baseball field too. That was kind of cool. I liked when the lights come on.

Yeah. Because they came on right as we were usually in the summer. They don't come on till almost when you're leaving and now right away before the game even started. That's a great feeling. Yeah. We have good stuff going on in. Pretty exciting. Yeah. So we have that. There is news of the day which will include as we approach the Labor Day weekend, you need to know the hardest working states in America, don't you? Yes. Okay. We'll give you the shocking report on that and then where we fall. Washington. Apparently we don't work hard enough around here. Sorry. We have the best cities to retire. Okay. Like that's going to be a thing. Adorable for people who get to retire. It's so cute. And then the fast food places and how often they screw up your order and we're going to call out names. We have real data that tells us how often certain places mess things up. Okay. And then what you can do to protect yourself, protect yourself from them screwing up. All right. Okay. That's something. Sure. We present to you things that

were supposed to be huge and then they were a total flop. It's his items or movies. Just like things in general. Okay. Like the rollout of something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Some of it is in the world of tech. Some it's a beverage. Okay. Okay. And then and be honest, how would you rate your home on a scale of one to 10? Uh, cleanliness or just overall. All right. We'll tell you what America with the average American thinks about the average home. Okay. I feel bad if you're like at a 1.1 hellhole to dump. Well, so the frustrations that people have with their house. So all right. Good stuff. Yeah. So we'll have that to look forward to. There will be the cash showdown. Lisa will play Molly. That'll be shortly after eight o'clock. Uh, Kate Hudson will join us today as well. Okay.

All that's going to fit into a show. I don't know how it's going to all going to fit. Sounds like we got too much stuff. Got a cram it in. Yeah. Got a cram it in. Yeah. Thanks for being with us. Everyone. This is the David Molly show from the New America studio. We now return to the Dave and Molly show. Hey, welcome back everybody. Let's check on the hardest working states in America on account of Labor Day Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve. That's a lot of eaves. I think it's three eaves, right? Yeah. Because it's Monday. Right. So it's not tomorrow. It's Sunday. But Monday. Yeah. Anywho, uh, the hardest working state in America is South Dakota. For you, where you got used to live. We'll heal. But we work hard is what we do. Then North Dakota. Yeah. What else are you going to do? Exactly.

Hmm. They work very hard Alaska people work very hard Hawaii people work very hard. Wyoming. Hmm. Now let's, uh, let's talk about the slackers. Okay. Michigan. Dead last. Michigan. Is what they call them? Michiganians. Michiganians. Michiganians. I don't know. Somebody will know that. I bet it's Michigan. I should know that. Yeah. I like ours. I like spokenites. Yeah. That's good. Washingtonians. Uh, Oregon is second. Oregon doesn't work very hard. Then New Jersey. And we, uh, state of Washington, we are the 38th hard working state. So, uh, better said, the 12th least hard working. I don't know about that. Although as we were talking to Justin Spinney, Klein, Sam Ben taking a lot of time off. We may be really weak on. Maybe we're driving it. Driving down the numbers. Yeah. Well, uh, the average, the average, uh, worker in the US is

around 1800 hours. That's more than the people of Canada. We as a country, we work harder than the Canadians. How about that? We work harder than the Australians. Okay. Uh, but we work less than Mexico, Chile and Korea. All right. Our tracks. Sure. And then they break it up by state. And that's why and that's how we know. Mm-hmm. Well, we're, uh, we need to pump up those numbers. Are Ricky numbers? Uh, Ricky numbers. Yeah. We can work a little harder around here. You think? I don't want to, you know, uh, last night with the Mike Boyle interview, he asked about Ken Hopkins. Yeah. And I said, well, Ken is retired. He said, what's that like? And I said exactly. He said, I don't see that in my future. And I said, well, we don't see it in our future either. So I get it. We're working if keep working. I was talking to a couple of the, the Indians people and they were, they were asking about that. And I said, well, I'm, I'm good. I like to get up early. We're sitting and chatting. Not like we're moving boulders or anything. Not like we have to,

you know, run a, run a drill. That would be different. I don't think we'd be good at that. No. Yeah. We're apparently good at this. And we've been doing it for a long time. We're just skaten by, exactly. Uh, now we shift gears. We go from the hardest working and least hardworking states to the best place to retire. Okay. If you were to retire. All right. In a magical world that's made believe somewhere, the week is a retire. These are all, and this is like, I think there's over 80 different metrics here. So I mean, they barely, and they run all the debts, the one of those government things. So if they've got all the data, affordability, activities, quality of life, weather, healthcare, walking scores. I don't know what a walking score is. They just start walking places. So they claim that the best place to retire, Orlando, Florida, and spoiler alert, there is a ton of Florida and Arizona.

That's where everybody goes. I think people on the west, you know, west part of the country, they all go to Arizona and the people on the east, they all go to Florida. That's sort of the stereotype, the generic stereotype. That makes sense, I guess. Florida to me, especially Orlando, I don't know. You don't get to see the ocean. No, and it's just landlocked and there's, and I don't know whether, why is it's a lot of the year, it's unbearably hot, and the other part it's torrential rains, and I just, oh, there's so many tourists there. Yeah. This is all the Disney world and everything. So you got Orlando, then Miami, then Tampa. So the top three are all all Florida. Then you got Scottsdale, Arizona. Then you got Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Yeah. Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh shows up in the top 10. I don't seem like the weather would be great there. And if you if you want to know, there's 182 cities

that were a part of this thing, Spokane, Washington, 166. Not a good place for us. But I make a case. Yes. If you can do the havesies, like if you can do a half in Spokane, and then find that other place. Palm Springs. Palm Springs, maybe. Palm Springs. Arizona. In a perfect world, that's where I would split my time. Palm Springs in here and just do half time. It's so hard with grandkids. That's the problem. I think about that. And I think, oh, it'd be great. Be gone for months at a time. But then I would miss them. And I wouldn't. And also they need me every other day. So it's that tough. So. Keeps you busy. Another 10 years, though. Keep on your toes. The worst place to retire in America. There's a lot of California here. Oh, Stockton, California. You don't want to be there anyway. Then you got San Bernardino, California. Fresno, California. Rancho, Cucamanga, California. I do like the name.

Baker's Field, California. Tacoma, Washington, Tacoma is on the very bottom. Irril Man Tacoma. Detroit. And Fontana, California. Okay. Let me just tell you about Fontana, I don't know about Fontana, California. Fontana, California is halfway between Palm Springs and Los Angeles. But it's a little closer to Palm Springs. Oh, no. And so every Friday, well, whenever my dad was ready to have us, my mom would drive us to Fontana to the McDonald's. And that's where we would meet. Now, my mom had to do Friday traffic LA to Fontana. And then back again, my dad got to do Palm Springs to Fontana, which was less time and no traffic because nobody's going to Los Angeles on a Friday. And we hit a little bit going back, but he had such the easier route. Same thing on Sunday. Sometimes we would take the bus back to LA. But so the Fontana McDonald's, it was the Fontana exit. And if you say that to me or my brother, you say

Fontana, it's like, oh, God, it's the McDonald's. And the best though, if my mom was buying McDonald's, we'd have whatever we wanted. My dad was for some reason springing. It was like a cheeseburger and water. We love God. You don't need all the extras. But my mom was pretty far. What's the drive time from Palm Springs? Well, what's the drive time from LA to Fontana? I think it was like, I want to say it was an hour and 45 minutes, something like that. But with traffic, it was way longer. So you're spending four hours in a car every transfer time. To get there. Oh, boy. And that's why sometimes we would take the bus. But you turned out fine. Look at you with your giants head on. Yeah. You're a spoke hand do attitude. There were sometimes where I would do a horse show on Sundays. And depending on how it went, sometimes I would get bucked off. And I'd be full of dirt and stuff. I mean, there were times where with I would have dirt all over. And I would get on the Greyhound bus like that with my little cowboy

hat. And I'd get shipped back up to LA. And then the Hollywood. So we would get dropped off at like Hollywood and Vine. And there was a Casa Blanca. Casa Blanca themed McDonald's that was right there at the Greyhound bus station. So my mom would bribe my uncle Sam. She'd say, I'll buy you coffee at McDonald's if you come with me. She want to go alone. Because now it's nine o'clock at night. We're getting in on a Sunday night to Hollywood and Vine. And here comes little cowboy girl full of dirt and tears with her fifth place ribbon. Hi, mom. Out of the four competitors. Yeah. I did like the color of the fifth place. It was purple and pink. It was pretty. And I'd be like there. And then drive all the way to the valley. Then get ready to go to school the next day. It was it was a brutal little situation. How long do you guys have to do that? Yes. Well, once my parents split up, we sort of, but then as you get older, you sort of do it less and less. And then once I got my car, then I would drive down. And so it was at least at least once

a month we did that horse show thing about every once a month. But then there would be another day that we would go. So a couple times a month. Yeah, it was kind of brutal. It was easier. I think my dad had the better situation. So there's my Fontana story. Long story short, Fontana is an armpit. Hellhole. Well, it's and it's not a good place to retire. Right. In general, California, the state is not a place to them. And a lot of that is affordability. The if you want to do fun activities, San Francisco, okay, turns out okay. Scottsdale, Arizona is the highest ranking city for quality of life. Very expensive there, though. And then Sioux Falls South Dakota is the top spot in the country for retirees for health care. What you got to live in South Dakota. Yeah, Sioux Falls. I don't think I would.

What is it? What do you think of when you think of Sioux Falls? It was the first thing that pops in your head. I don't know. Bear plane crash. Do you remember that airplane crash? They had it. It was one of the first video. Yeah, it was, um, I think it was at L-Tunnel, Evan. I can't remember which it may have been a seven, 27. Somebody got video. They crashed on landing at the Sioux Falls airport. And I just remember the video was shot through a chain link fence. Somebody was like the beginning of camcorders. And they had they knew they were in trouble. I think they lost their landing gear or something. I think some people survived, but they see, you see it crash and like skid and so forever. So like a big jet like. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. What year was that? I'm going to put it early 80s. Something like that. Somebody you'll know. They used to have how far is deadwood from Sioux Falls? Oh, I don't know about that. I know deadwood is a couple hours from edgemont or yeah, edgemont where my dad lived.

South Dakota. I remember in my Texas days when I was playing cards. And that's a whole story. We'd sneak away to these. It would be in the basement of like a Chinese restaurant. Oh, and we have these big, huge card games. It was like, it was a thing. But there were a lot of guys that would talk about going to deadwood and getting into poker games there. I never did that. I've never been to deadwood period. My dad, that's what they would do. They would go up to, well, he'll be going up deadwood. Was you any played poker? Oh, yeah. Played Blackjack, sure. 1989 was the United Airlines flight. And it was, and it's exactly how I remember it. It was through a chain link fence. And you can see, see that? It's like, oh, geez. Yeah. People survived that. 114 people. I can't remember what kind of aircraft it was either. Oh my gosh. But yeah, some of the people survived it, I think. And I can't remember. They knew they had problems. And I can't remember. It was engine problems. It was landing your problems. But they knew that they were coming in to basically crash line. And they had been,

I believe circling. And so people are kind of driving off fuel. Yeah. Crazy. Geez. Now, we're all fast food people. We like fast food. Fast food is fast and it's food. Who doesn't mean to have to be good food. And it doesn't mean you're going to, they're going to get your order right. As we have determined, there's been new analysis that looked at more than 1600 drive-through visits across 10 major fast food chains. They crunch the numbers. And they tell us Taco Bell is the worst. 15% of the time, according to this, they're going to mess up your order. What? Wendy's and Duncan Donuts were runners up. Yeah, for they were off 13%. Chick-fil-A and McDonald's the best. They only mess up 7% of the orders. It's been, and I'm a McDonald's person, I say, I'm not exaggerating, at least 300 days a year.

Yeah. I'm going to McDonald's. But it's extremely rare when they mess up my order. And usually, what it is, it's a regular Coke instead of a Diet Coke, which I will know right away. And then I will go right back in there. Oh, I'll mark myself right back in there. And I just said, I got the wrong, and then they usually know, like they, you know, if it's a busy stretch, they've got them all stacked up. And they, you know, it looks exactly the same. They just hand it to you. And I get my straw. And then I drive around the first time I take a sip. No, not wrong. It's wrong. I can go back in. But that doesn't, that happens twice a year maybe. Yeah. We've been getting sent to the, to the slot of shame a lot lately. And it's at dinner time. And it's always about the nuggets. They always say, oh, we were, we were low on nuggets. We'll pull right over there. But then you know, you're getting fresh ones. That's true. Freshies. Then they always say the fries are really hot. So be careful. Chick-fil-A McDonald's, they're the best followed by Carl's Jr.

And then KFC and Arby's. They say the riskiest bet in fast food, asking for no ice. It was the single most cited failure in the entire study. Because that is just by row, you're just used to that. And that, that was messed up 28% of the time. So almost a third of every, if you're, if you're a no ice person, about a third of the time, they're going to mess that up. According to the data. I think that's just because they're so used to doing it. They just remember that day that Jake, I ordered a quarter pounder with no onions for them. And then it came with onions. And then I sent it back. And then we got home and they realized that all they had done was scrape the onions off and giving it back to us. And then I called them up. And I was like, my son is allergic. I will own this restaurant. Plick. And he goes, what was that? I said, it's very important to have integrity. He goes, you're insane. And I said, well, welcome to you. Welcome to your new home. Your mother is insane.

The no onion thing is a big deal for people who don't like onions. And especially if you have kids, if you drive away, it's like, oh my god, we're going to have to go back. There's no way they're going to deal with the can't scrape them. Can't scrape them off. Like it. Guests scraper. You got to take the bag. Well, the one day, not too long ago, the girls ordered their normal Taco Bell. And it's some kind of five layer cheesy burrito. Well, they accidentally gave us the spicy ones with like spicy chips that are inserted into it. Oh boy. And the girls were, it's unedible. Oh, yeah, they say they couldn't eat it. Yeah, I need it. It was very disappointing. And I didn't check, but I don't know how you'd have checked that. You're not going to open the burrito and look at it. You're just going to assume a lot of time. You're halfway down the road. And I said, you guys eat spicy chips all the time. Now they're already in your burrito for you. Just eat it. Try to sell it to them on a positive note. Yeah. The worst is when you're on a road trip and you go through the drive through. Yeah. Usually it does not because you're using the bathroom anyway.

Like, okay, it's road trip. Oh, we're going to stop and get some deep and hit the bathroom. And then you check your food. But in the rare times when you're just going through a drive through on a road trip and you're already back on the freeway. Oh, it's so good. And you realize that something is not right. What do you do? What do you do? Especially when it's for the pickiest of the kids. And you're thinking, okay, that person would let it go, but this one, we're getting back going back on the freeway. Now, the question is, and we can throw this question out, say, everybody on the text line, how would you rate your home? Okay. According to a new report, they say the average American would score their home as a 7.5 out of 10. Pretty solid. Yes. 20% of home owners are looking to break up with their house. What? Only 20%. What are the criteria for ranking your house? Just like how much you enjoy it?

How much you enjoy it? Oh, I love my house, but there's so much work that needs to be done. And it's too big at maybe time. Down size? Yeah. Well, just because I need the like, just the basic stuff. We used to call it in when in my real estate days, it deferred maintenance. What we call it. There's some projects that need to be done. I don't know. I'm very close to roof time. And then there's a project that cement that cold shoot thing. So for those reasons, I will have to take off some points. Other than that, I would give my house a 10. I love my house. Yeah. Love my deck. Love my backyard. The fence is newer. Decker's brand new. All the windows are new. The screen. The screen is that's so yeah, Ken Hopkins screen. Did you put the screen in? Well, no, because I still have the AC unit there. But it's sitting right there ready to go. I think you can pull that AC out of there. Yeah, maybe, but I can't do it myself. I have to have it's too heavy. I have to have Kenner. My son do it.

Yeah, it's sitting there. And I said to Ken, I said, did you see the screen? It looks so good. He said, that is a good screen. Yep. Good screen quality screen. I'm sitting on my back deck, especially this time of year. The trees are full shading. And it's the perfect temperature. And I'm sitting out there. I'm thinking this is like my favorite. I love it. What are the frustrations involved with your home? Just those projects. The cement and every season, we say when it gets really hot and dry, we're going to cover this thing so it doesn't leak anymore. And this is the third season that that's gone by. It hasn't happened. So that's the only real frustration. Most people say it's having critters move in. And critters is defined as insects or animals, rodents. Oh, I saw a raccoon, right? But driving into the parking garage here. Yes. Yes. Yes. He was waddling along, right? And I was worried because I couldn't find my wallet.

And I need the wallet to get into the parking garage. So I'm kind of, and I see the raccoon, and he's, you know, he's, you know, raccoons move. They're lumber. Yeah. So you know, right away, oh, geez, there he is. Cute. Look at that thing. But then he went under the rail fence. And then I was worried that because it was taking me so long to find my wallet to get into the anonymous kind of sitting there waiting, you know, I thought, oh, he's going to come in. He's going to, he's going to come into the garage. Get inside the garage. Next thing you know, he's going to be in our studio. Have a raccoon. But anyway, that's that's one of the main reasons what people will not like their house as much. I haven't had any critter problems. I also though, I'm very, very, I have a great exterminator. And I'm on it because I don't like the critters. And and the wasp situation was a non-issue this year. Now this, we're still, we have September. And I did notice out at the casino, I was telling you the yellow jackets were brutal. Just they weren't biting, but they were hungry

and looking for stuff. And they know their time is coming. Yes. And that it could still be. But as mild as the winters we had, I really thought we were in for trouble. And my traps are empty. It's crazy. Noisy neighbors. That's another frustration. Cracks in the walls, water damage issues, and then running out of space. Yeah. I don't that's not a problem anymore. Almost half of all Americans say they are currently living in their dream home. That's pretty good. Makes everybody happy. Top reasons people want to stay. Other, other than memories and generally appreciating home, they say a perfect backyard. They love their master bedroom, slash bath, kitchen and big closets. Those are the things that keep people in their same spot. I would say they would one downfall to my house if I had one. And if I was going to do a renovation, what I would do is I would turn the bedroom, the bedroom that's off of the deck into a,

you know, the main bedroom and then knock out a closet and put in a bigger bathroom. Because in a house that's 100 years old, the closets are small. Yeah. And the bathrooms are small. It's really just me there. So it's not a big deal. But when I go to a hotel or go to somebody's house that has the double sink, I think what have I been living in? Squalor. Why do I live like this? And but I had California closets come in years ago, years ago and organized my closet. And still to this day, it's a total game changer because I had one rod here and one rod there. Now I have shelving and drawers and so it's doable. I've had two friends recently that they bought homes and they did not move in until the closet thing was like that people come in and do it. Then they moved in. Yeah. That is a thing. It is a big, it is, that is kind of a big deal. But mostly I love it. And I love my basement with all my airplanes stuff in it. Cool.

Don't you want to know the things that were supposed to be huge and then they totally flopped? Yes, I do. 3D movies. It's supposed to be a thing I guess. I don't know. They're not? That would be my, I don't, I think when they do say a movie's in 3D, I think you know what you're going to do. I think it's pretty cool. Zima, member Zima. Yeah. It didn't work. But isn't that just other product, a crystal Pepsi curved TVs. Oh. Hoverboards. Yeah. The hoverboard thing went all the way back to like back to the future and they were like, oh, that wasn't like in the 80s. Oh, man. In 10 years, we're all going to be using these things. Okay. 20 years. Well, we're still not. Yeah. And we're glad we're not. I don't like when I see, you know, those the things that are just people stand on it and it's two wheels and they don't

even have anything on front. It's just literally two wheels. The segway. It's the segway. But without the front, it's just, they are on basically, they're standing straight up. They usually have a helmet on. They always have a GoPro with them. And they are standing on two wheels. And that's what's performing. Have you seen that? Yeah. That's crazy to me. That's not a segway. Well, it may be a version. I thought a segway was more where you had the thing around you where you hold on. Oh, I don't know. segway shows up on here. Yeah. As does Google plus. That's Google plus. I don't know. Google works fine. Yeah. Oh, what else was supposed to be huge? Wasn't there I, um, I was thinking more specific. There was a there was an internet situation where there's a company

trying to create within the. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's like, that's not going to work. And we already have the Facebook and stuff like that. The Facebook is big. Yeah. It worked. It worked. It worked. And then the things that weren't supposed to be big Netflix underestimated that. And Netflix will be where the football game is on Thursday. Really? Yeah. Because the sea hawks play on Wednesday. That's NBC. So be in KQ. And KQ has the Apple Cup too. They have Apple Cup on Sunday. And then the sea hawks on Wednesday. Then the Thursday game, which is a real NFL game. It counts the Australian game. That's a Netflix thing. Okay. If you got Netflix, Amazon, got all these different NFL networks. Got a few games. That's weird. It's hard to keep up with all the different channels that you're going to find football. And almost every day of the week you can find football.

Almost. Why are they going to get Tuesday football? If you can't college football, it's every day, but Tuesday. Are they going to have regular Wednesday games two now or just one? I think it's just one. There may be some around the holidays where it's if it's right now. I don't know what day Christmas falls on, but they're a Christmas. I believe is a triple header. What? Thanksgiving is a triple header. So they, you know, let's just look at the calendar. Thanksgiving and football. It's just meant to be Thanksgiving is on a Thursday this year. That is crazy. Yeah. That means Christmas if I'm doing the math right. Yeah. Christmas will be on the 25th of December. It is a following month. Yep. Yep. And New Year's. New Year's is on the first. Right. So that makes Valentine's Day. That's going to be on the 14th. Right. It's also Super Bowl Sunday. Yep.

I mean, yeah, Super Bowl. And but then if all those things are lining up, where will St. Patrick's Day be? That is going to be on a 17th, I believe probably March 17th. Okay. Well, that throws things off because then Easter's on a that's going to be on a Sunday. This year. This year's going to be so weird. Thank you. That's our work. That is our acting. That bit drives my mom crazy. Thanksgiving's always on a Thursday. What is wrong with you? Why is he saying that? No, it's um uh, but Christmas Eve and Christmas Christmas Eve is a Thursday. Thursday. Usually they protect Christmas Eve as they probably should. So then Christmas day. So then we're going to have Friday football. We'll probably have Saturday football and of course we'll have Sunday football for that. Let's see. I always think of Christmas and football.

But then I found out very that's only recently that they started doing that. It was always basketball, which is not something. And the basketball people were very pissed. Yo, I bet they were. They they thought they had Christmas day. And then the NFL says, no, we wanted it. They just took it. They take everything. They just take whatever they want. I kind of like this whole uh, this is going to be this is going to be good because we can kind of work part of the week. And then you have the full weekend off. And then maybe even work part of the next week. And then then you don't come back to the fourth. I like this Friday. Saturday. You like the schedule? You like the schedule? It's good. Rather than the middle of the week Tuesday, Wednesday, you know, it's just kind of yeah. And Marisa's a calendar bit is one for favorite. Oh, good. Oh, um, going back a little bit to the Su City. It was Su City, Iowa. That was the plane crash. Oh, so is there a Su City South Dakota?

Su Falls. Su Falls. You were seeing Su Falls. And I was thinking Su City. Okay. And that's Iowa. But I still don't remember it. Yeah. And it was a DC 10. I think it was during the time when the DC tens are having an issue. That was from Lauren. Thank you, Lauren. Satellite radio was one of the things that was supposed to be big. Yeah, it's not really. I remember when that was a thing, you know, when well, we were in radio at the time. And everybody says, oh, it's that's going to, that's going to be the, that's the doom. It's like, well, it didn't. It had very, very small, you know, effect. But now you look at the world of radio. And it's kind of a kind of a mess, kind of a disaster. Everybody's going to podcast. That's what they're doing. Seriously, look it up. It's true. It's real. It's not we're not just saying that just because we're on it. It's true. It is true. Let's do a break here. And then our friend Kate Hudson is waiting in the wings. Oh, excellent. We're going to find out what's going on in the world of, you know,

Spokane gatherings and events as we approach the weekend, Labor Day weekend. So that'll be good. And then we're going to play the showdown. Remember today is Freaky Friday. That means Molly has to answer the questions. I got them all ready to go. You're going to be playing Lisa, one of our favorite listeners. She will be taking on you in your Giants hat. It's my lucky hat. Okay. We'll find out if it's lucky. I'm going to wear this hat. Really? Every Friday. What if the Giants have a Thursday night game? You wear it on Thursday, don't you? Yes. I wear it on Thursday. I'm going to take off some of the stickers. But the kids do live. They leave these stickers on now. Like a thing. I don't know. You tell me should I leave it on or should I take it? I don't know. Once you take it off, it has to stay off. So maybe it will hold out for a while. All right. We're back after a break with our friend Kate Hudson. When we return, this is the David Mollyshow from the New America studio.

We now return to the David Mollyshow. Hey, welcome back everybody. Look, as you can clearly see, Kate Hudson is here. And we missed you last week, but you're here now. I am here. Yeah. Nice to have you back. Yeah. I have phones. I'm so sorry. We didn't offer them up front. We're terrible hosts. Yeah. It's mostly my fault. It's okay. Oh, yeah. See? Better now. Yeah. Now I look official. Yes. Right? Look like you're off show. Like I know what I'm doing. And you're I think you're in the shot. Hang on. Let me make positive sure. Oh, yeah. You're there. It's my good side. I felt bad yesterday. We had Ken on. He comes in on every Thursday. Well, for the first segment that he was on, it was only like half of them. Well, but then then it was remedied. Right. Nice. So yeah, well, sometimes seem just half of me is probably the best option. I try to get only half of me in the shot, but it doesn't work. I try to sneak out and then he keeps. And then he gets weird. Yeah. Yeah. It's weird. It's camera follows her around.

How are you? Happy Labor Day weekend. Hey, thanks. Yeah. Three-day weekend. I have money off for you guys off on Monday. Nice. Yeah. We almost took today off. But then we said to ourselves, Dave, Molly, we missed Kate last week. If we go, if we take Friday off, then we won't see her. Yes. So then we decided to work. So you are the reason we are here today. Yes. Uh-huh. You're going to say that to the next person that's on our room. Well, you know, I'll take what I can get. What's happening? Uh, yeah, there's stuff going on this weekend. Busy time. I know. Uh, Benton Boone. Uh, this is a rescheduled concert. Right. Who is supposed to be here the weekend of the fires in August and uh, postponed. So he has rescheduled his concert to September 6th. Uh, so that's at the Veterans Arena. That's a pretty quick turnaround for a reschedule. A lot of times you go a year out. I know. Just because they're so busy. They're on their tour. Yeah. I like to think that it's because he's a Washington native. Yep.

Yes. He just wants to, you know, basically come back home. Monroe Washington. Yes. Uh, Monroe High School graduate. So you might as well be a home of the I have no idea. No, the Monroe Moose. Look it up. The home of Benton Boone. Yeah. But yes. So he'll be here. Uh, if you had tickets to that original concert, they will be honored, obviously. Uh, and then I looked and there are still tickets available. Oh, limited inventory, but there are still some tickets. So if you want to catch him, now's your chance. Yeah. Okay. Yes. So that's what you get to sleep in on, buddy. Generally speaking, seriously, like just go most people do. Yeah. Yeah. Stay up all night. Uh, it's a beautiful thing. Uh, okay. We also have the Symphony in the park. It's their annual ride of passives. Oh, yes. Kick off their season. The Labor Day in the park. Uh, concerts. Comstock. Comstock on Labor Day, the seventh, and then they do a concert in Liberty Lake. Oh, yeah. Oh, when is that one? That is on Saturday, the fifth. Oh, so we've got two options.

Okay. Yeah. We've gone the last couple of years to the Liberty Lake, a Comstock. Yeah. But that I think concerned about the weather. Oh, yeah. This year, you can go to Liberty Lake. I think. About there. Yeah, Dave. Hang out. Got Liberty Lake. Good to have options. Good. See how it goes. You're going to Earth, wind and fire, right? Uh, yes. Yes. But the, but the, the Comstock, that's actual, that's not Monday. It's Monday. Yeah. I thought you said it was Sunday. No. It's on Labor Day. It's on Labor Day. It's on Labor Day. Yeah. You could do it all. Yeah. I could. I don't know. Yeah. Weather. You know, we'll see how the weather is. Yeah. But so the other one in Liberty Lake is Saturday. Yes. Okay. Got it. So they do one Saturday in the one Monday. Yes. Perfect. Yeah. Well, hopefully it's not raining. Uh, but it rains about the only thing because the couple of years ago was really hot, but that still can work. Yeah. Yeah. Everything's fine. It's fine. And that is a really cool thing. I, I went for the first time a few years ago and I

thought, well, this is I actually am good with this. It's super cool. Yeah. You know, bring your picnic blanket. Parking at a premium though. Yeah. The pro move is to get dropped off. And then. Yeah. Oh. Because it, you know, you're parking and just basically the neighborhood. Yeah. It does get a little tricky. Um, but then, you know, I love that some of the houses around there. They have parties. Yes. And they're all out there. And, you know, I'm not going to suggest, uh, bringing a bottle of wine, but you could smuggle a bottle. Oh, we smuggle. Yeah. It is illegal. All right. I have a smuggler. Yeah. But you just put it in your, uh, put it in a thing. Yeah. You know, uh, yeah. That's how we do your Dutch press coffee. Yes. Yeah. Of course. You don't know what this is. You could be water. It could be coffee. It could be tequila. And some of the people are so nice. They'll have a little table set out. And it's like a free for all. Like they'll just say, hey, we've got all these little snacks and we're here. But if you walk by and you want something, you just take it. Very nice people. Very nice. I love Spokane. Do you go to that? Uh, yes.

Not every year, but, uh, I try to go, uh, but I live up there by Comstock. So it's easy for me to wander over. Can you just walk over there? I could, but I usually don't. So you'll run it. 85 miles in a day. But wondering over a few blocks and too much. Well, it's more than a few blocks. It's, you know, probably a mile and a half. But yeah. And it usually starts to get darker when it ends. Yeah. And then there's the, you know, the alcohol component. Yeah. Oh, but sure, I'm just kidding. Do you live near the scoop at all? Or is that? No, I used to. Okay. For 13 years, we owned a little bungalow over on 23rd Avenue, just a couple of blocks away from 25th for the scoop is. I had never been to the scoop and his daughter had her birthday party their Monday night because she's friends with the owner. So shut down, but we got to have ice cream. Oh, oh my god. Jennifer. Yeah. She's so good. Yeah. It's very good. It's so cute too. It's just

right in that neighborhood. I know. And we used to walk there quite a bit. Um, in Jennifer's funny because she remembers, you know, me coming in with my daughter. Oh, I'm sure. Yeah. And she used to have a TV screen that she would take pictures of people from the neighborhood and a candle was in there. Oh, oh, a banana tree, a photos. And now they have hidden bagel too. Yeah, just right in there. Yes. Yes. So good. It's something. Yeah, it's a cool spot. Um, but Spokane's got all of those fun little coffee shops and nooks and crannies all over the place. The rocket market is cool. Rockwood bakery. You've got all those neat little spots. So yeah, pretty cool. Yeah. So there's that. I'm not going to walk to the concert. Fine. Don't walk too. Don't you don't have to. But I will be running on Saturday at some point. Oh, again, you're going to run. Yeah, right? Very far on purpose. How far will you run on Saturday? I have no idea. I'm kind of

on my own. So I'm running buddies are doing their own things. Oh, yeah. So now will you have music when you run? No. No, you still won't have music. Even when you're all by yourself. Right. Yeah, you and the pavement just me and the pavement. Yep. Hey, do you want to walk to Northern Quest for that? I would love to. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. You're in. This is the 23rd. 23rd. No, I mean, you could, you could do it as part of your work because it's part of Skokhan. It's a community event. This is true. Yeah. And we'll we're all coming over to your house for to pre-funk before the symphony thing. We're just signing you up for stuff. But then you have to walk all the way from my house. Yeah. Only a mile and a half. Maybe two miles. Oh, well, that might be good. I was getting like, well, we're wanting to eat and a half miles. I'm trying to I'm trying to think. So I'm a mile away from the rocket market. So maybe like that's a mile and a half mile to the park, right?

The rocket by by a by a man or two? Yeah. That's probably a mile and a half, two miles. Yeah. That's closer to two miles. I bet. Probably. I was just keeping that more some more. I know. We're walking over eight miles. If you're riding your bike, it doesn't feel that far. Wait, wait, you ride your bike to the concert. There you go. That's the way it doing. Yeah. Have a 1973 Swin. Nice. Nice. It has gears though. Oh, so it's super fancy. Does it have a banana seed? No. Do you remember when you got your first, my very first bicycle had a basket. It had the tassels. It had a bell. It had a banana seed. It was. I had a pink coffee. And it had a basket on the front. Yeah. And a pink seat. But it wasn't a banana seat. My sister, my older sister had a bike with it was like red, white and blue. And it had a red, white and blue banana seat. Yeah. That's a big deal. That's streamers on the handles. Yes. That was the first part of your freedom.

Yes. Yeah. I'm just going to bike over to a friend's house. Yeah. I had a big wheel. We use roller skates as our mode of transportation a lot too. But you had to have pom-poms. Those, the, you tied them through. Yes. And then on Fridays at our school was dance day. And they were clear. We all ate outside in the cafeteria. So they clear all the tables and they play music. And we could roller skate after school. Do you bring your skates with you to school? Yeah. That was a big deal of roller skating with your huge deal. And that's how it got places. But then the thing was you get somewhere and you have to have shoes with you. And then you have to put your roller skate somewhere. Yeah. And underarms. And then your brother would throw you in the pool with your roller skates. That's right. Good memory. That's one of my favorite stories. I mean, I was very sad for her. And you know, but that's very funny. Just picturing somebody trying to get out. I even think that he was. When he was on the show with me that came up. And I said,

what was your play at like, what were you thinking? And he goes, I really didn't, it was so sort of a last minute thing. He said, I didn't really think about how he said, I did save you. I guess you did. You pulled me out. What a hero. And then aside from all that, the roller skates got, you know, they're soaked. That's going to take you. It took a while to try those out. And then the smell probably isn't very good. And then the ball bearings they rust. Did you have the roller skates that were white and blue? I had white and blue roller skates. Like the can you get the wheels or and the shoe. My shoe was white. But then you would go and you'd get that you had the trucks. You know, it was like you got the truck. Then you get the different. We had graphite wheels and all different things. Then you'd go buy your set of wheels and then you'd buy your pom-poms and your laces. And I sparkly blue laces, blue pom-poms and then blue wheels. And right on the right on the tag, we're about the price tag, not for use in pool.

Yes. Even says right on the right. They're not submerging water. They're wearing the bath tub either. Not good for swimming. I love this. I have a picture of me before we moved up to Alaska in San Diego in our neighborhood roller skating. So, yes, I'm trying to, I'm going to pull it up so you can see my roller skates and we compare what you had. You know, I have a picture. I think Stacey sent it to me and it's me. I was in the newspaper in LA Times. Wow. Yeah, they were doing a story on a park or something and they happen to have a picture of me. It's a profile of me roller skating and I don't know if you can see my shoe. I think you may be can, but it's just a profile and it says Molly Friedly skates through whatever to park and I was random. It's a random story and I think they came up. How do you like the park? I like it. I love it. Stacey are both there. Yeah, I have to look for that picture. It's super cool. It's super cool. It's really cool. You can skate plus on Saturday night. Awesome. Take the RTD bus.

We should do something at Patisons. Yeah, that would be fun. All those were days. Yeah. I think roller skating rink. Yeah. Good times. Okay, we also have Graham Kay at the comedy club. Okay. He is one day only Sunday, September 6th. It's Canadian. Lots of observational comedy. And a TV writer. Okay. That should be a good show. So what do you think of this? I'm sorry, but I think this. Did you go to John Mulaney by the channel? Oh, man. Was he funny? I'm sorry, but he's very funny. Absolutely loves him. Yeah, he he brought it. He started off and everybody I've talked to all your daughters friends. Everybody. When he started it, he was very he started with something that was very controversial and I thought, oh, the crowd. He's going to lose. Oh, he's going to and now he does his normal stuff. Okay. There you go. Yeah, he started. Yeah, it was very good,

though. I laughed a lot. Good. I love that. And it was pretty sold out too by the end. It was pretty full. Nice. Yeah. I love to see that. I mean, yeah. I mean, we support comedy big time. We do. We're a good comedy community. Yeah. There's somebody coming next week. It's Wednesday. Allie, something. Allie. It's like an early show. My friend Mary invited me and I guess they're trying out stuff for their special or something like, you know, they love it. Yeah, like I get something like that. So we're going to go Wednesday. I don't know who it is. And what's her name is coming? Big star. Hang on. I'll find out. Okay. Female star. Oh, Nikki Glager. No, maybe her, but also I'll find out. Yeah. Whitney Cummings. She comes through every once in a while. I'll tell you in a second. Hang on. You can just talk to them. Okay. Well, we've got first Friday going on

tonight. Oh, yeah. Wow. Come down. It's good time for that. Support your local artists. Downtown Spokane Partnership puts us on first Friday of every month. Now they do this first Friday. Face off thing. It's at the Parkade Plaza. And they have artists kind of like dual and create big creations. And like whoever gets it done first. Oh, wow. Yeah. Kind of cool. Interactive. Get to watch the art happen. But yeah, make a make a whole point of coming down and wandering around and seeing what's new in the art world. We also have terrain coming up in October. It's always the first weekend in October. So it's never too early to start planning for terrain. Okay. This is a juried art show. That's multiple places, right? First Friday is multiple places. terrain is one place. Oh, this is the big art show. And people line up. It's become so big. You know, there's a line around the block of people waiting to get in. There's a private event that you pay to get into

Thursday night and then Friday night. So open to the public. But really cool show. And it's got everything that you can think of. Forming arts, you know, actile stuff, film, music, anything you can think of in the art world is on display at this. And it's always in that old empty building on Riverside there across from the high newner kind of in that area. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So they take over this old building and turn it into a huge art gallery. It's really cool. Yeah. But terrain is an art collective that's done so much for the community. Yeah. There are a whole goal. Has been to keep artists. Everybody that I've met from that group is they're cool people. They're just interesting people. And very spoken supportive, you know, they want to keep artists here. And so let's go support everybody this weekend and also on terrain first weekend in October. We also have the Spokane County Fair coming up next weekend. Oh, more on that coming up. We're part of the fair this year. Are you going to be broadcasting live from there? We are doing some

Facebook hits and then we'll be promoting the fair multiple guests including the pig. There's a sensory pig that's there. That's a special piggy that is for the sensory day for kids who are like have sensory issues. But they're bringing the piggy in. I tell you they're bringing the piggy in. You said we would need to plan for the pig. Yeah. They're bringing the piggy in. It's a piggy that is a calming pig. The therapy pig. The therapy pig. Tiffany had issues who I was thinking of. Tiffany had issues coming here. Chelsea Handler's also coming back. They said too. Yeah. Oh. And I think Nikki Glasier is coming back. I think you're right. Yeah. I saw that on the calendar. And is that all at the comedy club or is that? I think Nikki Glasier's like either the upper house or the arena. Yeah. Or I mean the bike. I get I'm very slow to change the names. Even football teams and sports teams. I'm still using the old names and people pounce on me for that.

You still call him the San Diego Charger. Yeah. Actually, that's another one. It's like, yeah. Their team was cruelly ripped away from them. Yes. There's people that we have San Diego friends and they've just owned the team. They won't they won't move for them anymore. Oh. Yeah. Well, I can see that. It's like the sonics when the sonics. Yep. Mercelously ripped out of Washington. Yeah. Yep. What about the Texas Oilers? Yeah. Houston Oilers? Houston Oilers. They went down there. And they changed their name. Yes. But then then Houston got another team. Now they're the Texans. But they were a brand new team, even though the Oiler people said, well, no, we we had a team and then they left now giving us this. Yeah. We don't want that. What about the Cardinals? They were the St. Louis Cardinals. That's right. And then now they moved them out to Arizona. And then they're not a team anymore, according to Dave. They're not an actual team. They're not a real team. They're not a real team. Not happening. The NFL only has 31 teams this year. And guess who my team is?

Hmm. I will be wearing it. Nice. From now. Hands forth. It's like, you can't grow a beard. So you're just going to keep a hat on. Uh-huh. That's right. I'm a Giants fan this year. She became a Giants fan. Hey, you're a Texan fan, right? Uh, sure. Yeah. No, I like the Astros. Oh, okay. That's my baseball team. That's even more controversial football. I, you know, I could go either way. Okay. You know, I don't really have an allegiance. You're saying make me an offer. Yeah. Show me something. Who wants to make me maybe like to join the Jackson dark sky blue situation. Yeah. So we're doing fantasy football for the first time. I'm doing it for the first time. Tonight is our draft. Okay. And I have a teammate named April. She's one of us. But it's all listeners and Quinn's friends. Okay. Quinn's the commissioner. It's called the Iron Sharpens Iron League. Right. And we all have our teams. And so tonight is my first ever draft. It sounds serious. Oh, it's very serious. Yes. Yeah. I'm plotting my day around it. I have all my

stuff. And then I will be at six o'clock. Well, earlier than that. I will be in front of my computer ready for the draft. I made no plan. And you pick fifth. Yes. Yeah. I pick ninth. I've never done fantasy football. So I will not worry. So I will be at heart. Seriously through you. Yeah. Oh, we're going to be updating. We'll have all kinds of dates on our teams. And for the people who are listening, saying the only reason we could ever get out of a football conversation is because Molly would change the subject. Well, now she's not changing the subject. She's invested. I'll change the subject. But this is her fourth new team in four years, right? Right. Because it was the Vikings last year, right? Well, two years ago, was the Vikings. The Lions. And now it's the Giants. But before that, I really didn't have a team. I didn't really think about maybe the Seahawks, but I didn't have a team I was reading for. Not until the Vikings. Okay. And there are a lot of Vikings fans in the. There was one year

way before the chiefs were good. You picked the chiefs. I randomly picked the chiefs. And you said, I don't know about this year, but there's the they're building. And you said there's something to that. I randomly picked them. And then there was another time. You know what I would like to do is get behind the quilts one year. I really like their anthem. I like their logo. You like their costumes? I like their costumes. Yep. I like their actors. That's how I pick their cast. I just like the labels. Yeah. It has a cool label. I'm like, awesome. Women. It may taste terrible, but it's got cool marketing. Yeah. If you get a if the bottle looks good, you'll give it you'll give it more of a chance than if it's some random thing. Yeah. Yes. I'm very classy. There is one bottle. Oh, now what it's called. It's a Trader Joe's and they have the best and they are good. And it's a little bit expensive. But it has like a rabbit and all kinds of crazy stuff happening on it. It's super cool. And I buy it just for the logo. Yep. I just want that on my show. I know. It makes me happy.

It looks cool. If it looks cool, I'm buying it. Yep. I had a Bud Light last night. Half of a Bud Light and a hot dog and a half. Nice. Yeah. I like. I like how your enthusiastically supportive of that. This is what I love about sports. Yeah. Sitting at baseball games and having a hot dog and a and no judgment. So it's what you're supposed to do. Yeah. Or the pump cheese nachos in a beer. Well, that's where I draw the line. I can't do that. Even my granddaughter is like, what is this? What is actually is this? I said, it's cheese. They're like, nope. No. I know what cheese is. I'm no dummy. This is not cheap. We had and I got found $10 in my dog. In fact, Ken went down. He wanted to get another beer. He went down and redeemed my $10. Oh. He then bought himself a beer. That's a pro move. Yeah. Yeah. Put that money to work right away. That's right. It's dollars in your dog night. So, uh, yeah. It was super fun. But I can only drink

half the beer because it gets warm and also it gets too filling and they have the giant ones. But but it's like the perfect amount that goes with the hot dogs. So delicious. That was pretty good. Uh, summer. Uh, summer. The Indians are winding up. Yeah. Yeah. Their last game is Sunday. Yeah. Yep. Oh, and stuffed on the bluff is happening. Yes. We can. And we've been, we've been advertising that as well. Yeah. They've got all their friends at backs. Yeah. That's a big deal. That's going to be hopefully the weather holds out for them as well. But they're going to have food, trucks and wines and stuff. Maybe we want to. I think Kage Q was out there this morning. Oh, no. Well, it looks like fun. Yes. And you know, we really, you know, since we lost pick out in the park, we've kind of lost that food festival for Liberty weekend. I am going to venture to say this will be more classy. Yeah. And they're doing bites. Oh, fun. Yes. They're doing the plates and the bites so that you can just and they're going to have wine and they're going to have all kinds of stuff out there. Music though, they have a schedule

of music that is unbelievable. Ice. All the whole time. That's what they do. So, yeah. That instantly is on the board. Yeah. It should make a lot of that. Yeah. I'm curious about speaking of traffic and finding places to park because Bex is right in there in the heart. They have what are they going to do? They have a plan for that. Okay. Good. Yeah. They talked about it. They have a total plan for that. They've got you situated. Awesome. Yeah. You know what I'll do. We have that whole Bex interview. Yeah. I may put that in the podcast. Yeah. Like re-upload it. So people can find it easier. I mean, there was like, I don't know, three or four hundred people that downloaded it. Yeah. What did we originally aired it? But we'll do it again. And if we just hear it today during our broadcast as part of our broadcast. We could. We do that. It's possible. I think that would be fun. It was a great interview. Yeah, they're nice people. It sounds like fun. Yeah. So I am already excited about the pumpkin donuts.

Yes. We're heading into that season. They put the how many did they bring? Five dozen, six dozen. Yeah. And I had one. They came in this. That's when we were on. I think we were on SWX. Yeah. So our breaks were only four minutes. Yeah. They Molly picked them up. Mm-hmm. Brought them into the studio. I ate a donut. Consumed it all before we went back on. Wow. Yeah. They brought three giant boxes that probably had three dozen each in it or something. Yeah. Because they're little. You know, they're. Yeah. Yeah. This little guy's oil. Perfect. Yeah. Pretty good. Yeah. Boy, now I want one of those. I know it sounds good right now. Kind of warm. Mm-hmm. A little coffee. Sounds delicious. Yeah. We're heading into spooky season. Yeah. And then the earth, wind and fire, there's still tickets available. Yes. At Northern Quest and that Sunday night. Yeah. Plus, do you get to stay up late? And we have on good authority that they're playing till 915. Woo. So for all of you soft pants fans, you can still be in your soft pants. Yes. What I should start doing is just wearing the soft pants

to the concert. Nobody's looking at you. Yeah. No one's in the care. No. Because now I'm reached. I'm becoming of age where you can wear whatever you want. Yeah. You're like, well, she's old. Nobody cares. No, no, no. It's all about comfort though. Yeah. I don't think you want to be uncomfortable at a concert. No. And nobody is looking at you. And short of wearing something that's like, I don't, nobody cares. No. It's in the artist can't see you. They don't care. No, they would rather have you become comfortable and be there rather than dressed up in high heels and stuff. Yeah. And we're to the part of the season where they go on at 730. It's going to be kind of dark. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. So no one will see. Right. I will see my show. What's the last northern quest concert you want to? Oh gosh. It was a country concert. Okay. It was the season or last. Last. Okay. It's escaping me. Yeah. We usually go to one as season. But you know what, we haven't gone this year. Need to go to one. Yeah. No, I'm running out of time.

Is there one more big country when coming up this or they all? Well, I think they rescheduled Luke Bryan. Yeah. And don't. Doctrine is I think don't treat that the fair. Is that fair? Okay. I'm trying to think of all the concerts I saw on the calendar at visitspokane.com. Yes. We have a website. We do. No. That's so weird. It's very comprehensive. It has all the evidence. All in one spot. Yeah. Even events that are happening in Idaho. I'm wondering. Yes. That is good. It's so weird. But yeah, I got to get to the northern quest. Yeah. It's the best. Yeah. But we'll have fun at Earth Wind and Fire. Yeah. It's going to be fun. Yeah. That'd be great. Yeah. Somebody said Sammy Hagar. Sammy Hagar is not coming. Uh uh. Tell him for your drunk again. Uh, he was here last year. He had usually every other year for him. Yeah. He loves coming here because he's and talk about a guy who's how old is Sammy Hagar? He's got to be mid 70s, right?

Yeah. At least he comes to town and spends the whole day on Lake Court Lane doing crazy person stuff. Then comes over and does a concert that way. That's what he does. That's his thing. What a great life. Yeah. Yeah. Well, he's living young. He's still, you know, that's the spirit. You got to stay young. You got to do. You got to do all that. Keep your young. Keep moving. Yeah. Fantasy football. That'll keep you young. Oh, yeah. Well, keeps me, you know what it does is it gives me great interest in the fall. Now that Quinn's not in here, the football talk has gone down considerably. Yeah. But now I can. Now you're back again. Last year at this time, it was, I swear, every time I'd walk in the studio, I would think they were having this heart to heart. Like, oh, no, what went wrong? Is everything okay? And they would be talking about fantasy football or who they were playing or whatever. So the first year we had, we started September 23rd. So it was right at the beginning of that 2024

or 2020. Yeah, 2012 or yes, yes. And that's when we learned about Quinn's bill thing. Yeah. And that carried us all the way through. Then the following season, then you guys were like all and we still had Quinn and we were on stairs, right? Yes, for the start of the season. Yeah. Boy, these kids. So are you going to do like a weekly recap on your, yeah, gonna see football? It's gonna have to come up. Yeah, sure. You should put it up on the big screens, everyone. Oh, we could. And then like, you know, get like the little like laser marker. Yeah. You know, the thing. You see here, this is where you made your mistake. You never want to play that guy a week after he'd been out of town. You should have changed your players and traded this guy. I don't know how it works. But what are you doing tonight? Aren't you going to be somewhere indistracted during the draft? No. Oh, you're not now. Oh, it's Sunday. You're Sunday. Sunday is the, we have the, yeah, but it's a five o'clock start for that draft. Oh, yeah. So I think I can get some picks in and then, yeah, but then I can do some of it on my phone.

So as if if you don't pick in time, do you, then the auto pick for you? Is that what happened? You have to, you click a thing that's auto pick. How long do you have to do a pick? I think when you get into the later rounds, it's one minute at first, like my very first pick of the thing. It's either two or three minutes. So I want to pick Jackson Dart. Like, that's going to be my first pick. Don't. That's going to be your first pick. Why not? You go. Okay. Who else should I pick? Well, I don't know. You might want to look at the, you want to look at some running backs or why received instead of a, instead of a quarter. Some would suggest that, but it's your team. That's the beauty of running your own team. You get to make all the decisions. That's right. And it could be like magic. It could be. You could pick the perfect guy. Yeah. Quinn has, has hosted and or played in 50, let's say 50 fantasy football. Yeah, I think that's a very fair. Yeah. No. He has never won

once. What? And he is an expert. And he said it's somebody who's like, I don't even know. And they win. There's a lot, there is luck involved. But it's much, it's much like, like poker. It's like, yes, there will be lucky situations. But overall, if you are, stay the course, it is surprising that he's never won a league. That is a little surprising. And he's got the bills as his team. I mean, Quinn, we love you so much. But God, they think stuff. This is a problem. You got this team. Maybe he should play the Houston Oilers. Maybe he should. Yeah. Mayor some Houston, Texas, Texas is supposed to be pretty good this year. Defences are going to be very bad. Oh, I don't really believe in their quarterback too much. Well, I'm having a secret meeting with a secret consultant before the draft. Oh, you are. Oh, yes. Oh, who's this? And you want to

draft? You want to draft Jackson Tart is your first pick? No, I think you're locked in. You set it on. No, you have to now. No, I don't. I'm after I consult with my consultant. Then I'll decide. That's what consultants do. They consult. Now, but then I think do I listen to the consultant or just do I go with my gut? Hey, who owns the team? You own the team. That's right. April and I own the team is me and April together. We are a team. We are co managing this team. Now, another question. When we're online and I have a co manager, can either of us make the decision? That's a good. I don't know that. I think maybe if you both have access. Because I'm going to put her on speaker phone, but like, April, what are we doing? What do you want? What do you feel? What do you feel? You know, you have your you got to have your war room. You were just strategy room. Well, that's a cocktail. Well, I got a cocktail here in Astray there.

What else would you get wrong? Yeah, you can do however you want to do it. But then that's when you talk and then it's like, okay, well, I think this player is going to be available when my time comes. Oh, somebody right in front of me grabbed him. Now we're screwed. Now we got to re you know, re-strategize. So, will they list all the players there? Will I have will they see the names? You'll see everybody's name. And they'll say what position they play? Yes. Okay. And so we need what is it? Oh, Jens says she's one of she's one of fantasy on an auto-adder draft one year. Oh, well, see, it can happen. Look at the draw. Okay. So, well, we'll see what happens. It'll be fine. Everything's fine. Just start throwing darts. Jackson dark. Yes. That's right. I am really hoping that you win. Like I am invested in this. I'm in the league. Oh, yeah. Yeah, but you thought you've done it before. You've got knowledge. It would be funny if an outlier. But then we have also, well, Melissa, this is her first time ever. She's

doing it. We have very funny names. We have all names that relate to our show. And so. Yeah, tell it, tell, tell Kate the names. Well, um, twins is the shake-shadle rehab center. I always do the shake-shaddle thing. Okay. And then O'Gregor E's grid iron. That's, uh, Jens, pork missiles 12 is sad. Olivia has sort of an inside joke. Natasha is unsolicited pick six. Got it. That's funny. Yeah. Sydney has Scott's tauts. I have what was your plan. And my, my emblem is my boyfriend with a big mustache because the day we almost ran out of gas, I kept saying, what was your plan? And then hard-assery hoodlums of Spokane. Who's that? Uh, Trevor. Oh, that's a good one. Uh, Chica Go Bills. That's Maddie. That's, uh, um, twins, Beyonce, kitty cats. Me on the kitty cats. Okay. Aaron's excellent team is Aaron. And then Melissa has Melissa's bad boys, uh, I think Spokane. You need someone who's highly recommend. Oh, that's a good

one. And the whole, the whole thing is the iron sharpened iron leak, which is something that Quinn and Dave like. Okay. Well, I'm invested now. Okay. So I would like to see how this plays out. All right. Oh, I wonder what the playoff structure is. We have 12 teams. I don't know if it's, I don't know. Top six make the playoffs, top four make the playoffs. We got to work all this out. Oh, I was. Or maybe Quinn's done it for us. It's going to be very exciting. It is. I'm, I'm in. Good. Thank you for your support. Welcome. And I'm rooting for Molly. Sorry. I'm a girl. It's my first time, of course. Why not? Right? And if you win, it's going to be great, because you don't know what you're doing. That's right. I've won, I've won weekly picks before where I've had more right than all the experts just because. You never know. That's, that's the joy. That's why they play the games spirit of the competition. Yep. I'm getting a text saying that I should do a,

practice draft. They have a way to do a practice. Yeah. I think I'll do that. Thank you, Jen. Do you practice? Practice punching them. Jen, you're on my opponent, but my friend. Are you running today or running tomorrow? I'm running tomorrow. Okay. Yeah. And you're running all by yourself and you don't know where yet. Yeah. Not sure. Okay. I'll figure it out. I'll be fine. It's meander. Yeah. And are you going to be here next Friday? I am. Okay. Unless you don't want me to come. No, we want you. And we'll be here next Friday. Hey, it's going to be awesome. I'll sign up for our walk to Northern Quests in the middle of the day. Okay. Well, what's the year later? She said yes. That's the last thing we do. I would love to come and walk. We'll see how my schedule. Okay. Wednesdays are an in office day. I just go. Okay. So we'll see if I can sneak away. Okay. Even if I come for a little while and then force someone to come pick me up. Yep. Yeah. One of the stops. So do you have the map of stops? Yeah. That would be great. We don't have. We don't really have stops. Well, we're going to go to

Dutch Bros. We're thinking about going to have it. The new burger place up there. But that's a long way. It's going to be a long time before we get there. We need stops. Nothing else to do in between. We're starting it request hopefully. But then we'll have to stop somebody's house in Brown's edition. Just a random house. Just knock on the door. Yeah. Stop at the museum. Yeah. We're hanging out in the coffee shop in there. Well, we're not going through Brown's edition. We're going around Brown's edition. Well, we're going over the. Good go. Oh, you know what? We could stop by Indian Canyon Golf Course. Yeah, oh, yeah, we could or the hotel that's there. Yeah, we could stop by there. Yeah, that's what we'll do. I like this. Yeah, it's going to work. It's going to be great. We go to Rosars if you really need right out of the shoot. You have to go to the bathroom. Yeah. The chameleon is there. Yeah, the walk right pass. Yeah, okay. Okay. Okay. See you next week. Okay. There's Kate Hudson. There she is right there. Everybody. We'll do a break. When we return, Lisa is going to play Molly in the showdown.

I got the questions all ready to go. I need to I need to add one more question. I think about something show question. Oh, okay. All the other ones are done. That happened. Okay. So we'll do that. That should be a fun segment. When we return, this is the David Molly show from the New America studio. It's time for Dave's cash showdown. Time for you to throw down. Winning in a mini answer 10 Dave comes in and answers and again. If your score is inferior, then Dave will reign superior. It's time to play around. The gate cash showdown. All right time to play the showdown. It's go time everybody. Okay. And it's a freaky Friday. And remember how freaky Friday works. I have the questions. Molly has to answer them on the spot. Yes. Exactly. Yes. And Lisa is going to be calling here in a second. She's going to be playing.

All right. All I can do is hope. I hope it's all about fantasy football. We do have we have six fantasy football questions. So it should work out just fine. Okay. Are you there, Lisa? Yeah. Okay. Excited. I'm excited for my Dutch bro. I have a good shot today, Lisa. I think you're, uh, it'll be better, better odds for you than you. Okay. And if you played before, have you ever played me? No. Okay. We'll look at it this first. I've been in the studio when somebody played you, but I've not played you. Okay. Oh. Why were you in the studio when somebody played? What was that about? I was the director of Miss Spokane and she came in and played Dave. Oh, one. Oh, that's miss been a long time ago. Who is the Miss Spokane? It was. Liz Lamferro. Oh, yeah. I remember her. Yeah. They're all great. That's good, good,

good organization. Good people. All right, Lisa. I'm, um, Molly's going to leave the studio. And then I got to get the questions ready to go. Okay. And let me get, let me get them all ready to go. Okay. And she will return. Um, just general thoughts on this. They say this is a mid-level acidary mid mid-mid-mid-hard acidary. Okay. We'll let you know afterwards. Okay. I'm going to, I'm going to get my scoring pad ready. Here comes your first question. Here we go. Oh, she was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene. That is the opening line to what 1983 number one song? I don't know. Okay. Four teams have been to the Super Bowl and never lost. Name one of them. Oh, I should know this one. Give me a minute. I should know this.

Give me a minute. Okay. I was thinking of four teams that have gone like to build and never won. Right. This is, this is the, there's four teams that have gone and they're undefeated in the Super Bowl. Okay. We're going to move on. Okay. Here's one. Spell banana. Yeah. The A and A and a 12 banana take off the S. Okay. Over or under 120. How many days until Christmas? Under. Okay. There have been five presidents that have a four letter last name. Name two of them. Class and. Bus. Very good. Couple of buses. That's right. How many inches are in one yard?

36. Okay. Without looking at a computer keyboard, what letter is just to the right of the H key? That's the J. Very good. Who has more best actress Oscars? Emma Stone, Merrill Streep or Catherine Hepburn? Emma Stone. Okay. Who was the last two term Spokane mayor? There's never been one. Okay. That I know of. Okay. And your final question, a show question. How many cups of wine did Dave have last night at the Spokane Indians came? I think it was two. Okay. Very nice. You did well. He had two cookies. He did. That's very good. Yes.

That's and that is the same amount. So you were absolutely right on that one. That one I will let you know that you got it right right now. Molly has re-entered the studio. And she's finding her way to her seat. She's putting on her headphones with her giant's hat on. I forgot to ask if there were any money questions. The money question. Let me give you a money question. I can't give you a money question. I think these were all pretty doable. She did pretty good. All right. Yeah. Move you. All right. Yeah. Okay. Ready? Okay. Molly's turn. Here we go. Oh, my own. Okay. She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene. That is the opening line to what 1983 number one song? She was more like a beauty queen. Oh my god. I hate on a second. It's a Michael Jackson song. No. Oh my god. I can't think of it. That's terrible. It'll come to me. Boop boop boop. Maybe I'll come back to you. Okay. Four teams have been to the Super Bowl and never lost.

Name one of them. Oh, the New Orleans. Okay. The Saints. Spell banana. Over or under 120. How many days until Christmas? Would you say over under 120? Yeah. Under 120. Okay. There have been five presidents that have a four letter last name. Name two of them. Four. And four letter. And okay. Okay. How many inches in one yard? Inches in one yard. 36. Okay. Without looking at your computer keyboard.

Which is covered by the way. So you're safe. What letter is just to the right of the H key? I have no idea. I. Okay. Who has more best actress Oscars? Emiston, Merrill Street, or Catherine Hepburn? Okay. Who was the last two term Spokane Mayor? Um, it wasn't 18. It was the one who gave us the key to the city. Mr. Boons. No, what was his name? I don't know. I can't remember any of it. Hi. She was more like a beauty queen. Is that a, is that a, uh, I am the one Billie Jean. Okay. Give me Billie Jean. Billie Jean. Um, I think I will, but I don't know that it's going to matter. Oh, oh, you got one more

question. You got one more question. How many cups of wine did Dave have last night at the Indian's game? Did you say how many cups two cups of wine? Okay. And they had one cookie. And you had one and eight fourths. Quit while you're ahead. Oh, I just screwed up. I can't forward and. Okay. Oh, damn it. That's what I was trying to think of. I can't find my little sounder. Hang on. Oh, man. Where's the sounder? I don't know. Why do they take everything away? Uh, final score. As I have it. Oh, my God. Lisa wins six to three and a half. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. Actually, you might, you might have four. I'll have to go, go through these with you. You did, you did come up with Billie Jean. Yes. Um, that was, you know, she was more like a beauty queen. Yes. Okay. That's the opening line to Billie Jean. Four teams have been to the Super Bowl and

never lost. You correctly identified one of them. Oh, good. The New Orleans Saints. They've only been there once and they won. Okay. Uh, Buccaneers have been there twice and one. Uh, huh. The Ravens have been there twice and never lost and the New York Jets. Oh, wow. Been there once won the only time that those are the only teams that have been there and have do not have a loss. At least they get that too. She did not. Okay. She did not get that right now. Did she get Billie Jean? No. Okay. So now I'm up to to nothing. Uh, if we count the, uh, Billie Jean, yeah, we're counting Billie Jean. I did it. I got it. It was before the final question. Yes. All right. Uh, you did misspell banana. Oh, you put two ends in there. I like to call it a banana banana. Uh, BNA, uh, BNA, NAA or something. I don't know. She had that correct. Uh, you were both, uh, you both got the under for days till Christmas. Okay. Uh, 112 days until Christmas.

Right now. There have been five presidents that have a four letter last name. You had to name two to qualify. Yeah. Uh, she correctly identified, uh, taft and bush. Uh, it was Polk taft, Ford bush, bush. I was trying to think of, I knew the bush one and I didn't get to. So I got half a point. Uh, both of you correctly identified 36 inches in a yard. Okay. Uh, she correctly identified the J key is just to the right of the H. Uh, you got Catherine Hepburn. Uh, she's one counting like five that I got right already. How did you get Catherine Hepburn? You got the inches. Yes. Two. You got the under. Yes. You got a team. If we're counting Billie Jean. Okay. Maybe you got your, that's where you're up to four. Yeah. Uh, neither one of you got the two term mayor. That was David Condon. Oh, yes. It was the last two term mayor. Uh, and she

correctly identified the two cups of wine. I think you get that too. Okay. You didn't even get the whole might thing. I got five right. You got the, uh, but okay. Yeah. You got that, but you said one cookie, but we didn't ask the cookie. I said to stop while you were ahead. But you got, you got the wine. Okay. I'll have to re-ad him. I think so. Let's do this together. It's hard to keep track. Well, that's why you have to have a system. All right. So you got the, you got the football. Okay. You missed the banana. You got the under. You got a half a one. I said name two. You got one. You got the inches in the yard. Mm-hmm. And you got Catherine Hepburn. And you got the wine. You got five five. Six to five. She said she got six. She had six. Okay. Fair enough. Nicely done. You're gonna win. Now, does she get to go on the plaque if she beats me? Oh, that's a very good question. I don't know. She is a winner. I think I think if you win,

you go on the plaque. Yeah. All right. Fair enough. And you get a mug. Ooh, good one. A mug. I think you should have a mug. Yeah, give her a mug. Sure. And you've never played before ever. No. All right. All right. Um, I, okay, here's what I need you to do since you've never played. I need you to text in all of your information. And then we'll get your prizes to you. If I need like your address, last name, the whole situation. And congratulations from our friends at New America Credit Union, Proud Sponsored Dave's cash showdown. New America Credit Union, they are the credit union that was the inspiration for Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Yeah, it's true. In fact, he had no idea to write a song. And then New America said, Hey, you know, why don't you sing a song that's about a girl who says that you are the one. And then he says, Well, but I am not the one. And then that was the genesis of Billie Jean, which was a huge number one song in 1983, all because of New America Credit Union's inspiration. New America Credit Union should be your credit union.

Mm-hmm. And five three cups of Dutch love from Spokane's Dutch, Spokane's Dutch Bros. That's nice. Thank you. Nice going, Lisa. Thanks, Lisa. What could here look at him shaking her hand? Mm-hmm. Good job. Clearly a shake there. Yeah, I was shaking your hand into the camera. And we'll get your prizes because you get the Dutch Bros and you get a mug and you get on the plaque. Very exciting. I call that a pretty good day for her. Yeah, that's a great day for Lisa. Hey, how many cookies did you have at the baseball game yesterday? One. Only one. Just one. I should have stopped it one. One is the next man. Woohoo. Those were very good, though. Yes, we're very good. All right, Lisa. Natasha. Oh, yes, it was Natasha. Yeah, she had the bucket of cookies. Can I ask you something? Were you in Natasha friends before, like the golf tournament and all that? Or is that how you guys became friends? No, that's how we met. Okay. We got the golf tournament. It's discovered we had a lot of things in common, including only mustard on a hot dog.

Oh, okay. Or pork. Pork. All right. And so now you guys have become friends. So we are we're friend makers. Yeah, that's so nice. That's what we do with ourselves. Okay. Well, that is good. All right. Oh, yeah, everybody's saying that she should be on the plaque. Okay, very good. That's happening. It is definitely happening. Yes. All right. Great job, Lisa. Thank you very much for playing. And yeah, text in your info and Molly will get the stuff to you. Great. Thank you. All right. Nice work. All right. Lisa, we'll play the showdown. The next time we play, we'll be on Tuesday. Tuesday will be back to normal. Molly will have the questions and then I will have to answer the questions. And she will have the score correct. And we only have a few more weeks really to get on this plaque. That's right. We're in the home stretch. Yeah. And yeah, because there's a couple of short weeks for us. Yeah.

Leading up to the 23rd cutoff date. Do we have the person who plays on the 23rd be part of? I believe they're part of this year's 23 to 23. Then the 24th starts the next one. I agree. Okay. Sold. Got it. All right. We're back after back. We will do our hot topic segment. And then I think we will. We'll try to find the interview with our friends from the Bex. Yeah. You know, for the they got the big thing going on a green bluff. For a library. The first time they've done this, right? Or did they do a last year? We'll find out. It's probably in the interview. I think it may be the first time I think they kind of threw it. Maybe they had a smaller version of it, but they have a ton of bands and so much stuff going. Do you think if we replay the interview, there's a way that they'll show up with donuts again? Was I asking a lot? But that will put us in the donut spirit though. Yes. Because we will, you know, we will have one. We'll see if we don't know. Yeah. All right. Thanks for being with us. We're back after a break. This is the David Mollie show from the New America studio.

Entertainment news. Brought to you by Golden Rule Break. Yeah. Golden Rule Break. My rally captain helped me much in the trivia department. Yeah. That's right. We're a giant top. You're just tuning in to YouTube now saying, what is she doing? She used to be a fan of the, that's a no, no, no, no, no, no. And the drafts tonight. Oh, you're going to, you're going to, you're going to, you're going to, you're going to wear your hat for the draft. Oh, heck yeah. That's every, that's a little, all the football owners do. Gotta wear your hat. And I'm going to welcome my players when I pick them. I'm going to be like, come on over to the, what was your plan team? Okay, now, fifth overall draft pick. Jackson is a dark to the, what was your plan team? I just want to thank everybody. Thank God. Thank you to Molly Allen, the owner and her friend April. So great. I'm really proud to be on this team. So you pick fifth in the draft. What if someone who's picking fourth picks Jackson?

Dark's going to, it's going to, it's going to, it's going to never happen. It's going to wreck your, uh, it's going to wreck, wreck your draft. Well, then I'll get, okay, you're going to get a giant for sure. Who will you pick first? Well, I make out of one. I don't mean the person. I mean the position. For this draft, oh, that's very good question. I'll go with the best available running back or wide receiver. And when do you pick eighth? I pick ninth. Ninth. Yeah. You don't have a beard. It's my thinking beard. Let's go, let's jump into entertainment news and we've got to bring it down. And I believe this happened yesterday, right? As we were ending the show, but glorious dynamite has passed away. Yeah. 92. She had a very, a very good life. Her work spanned decades. I didn't know this, but she became famous. I know. You know how he does? Yeah. She went inside the Playboy Mansion.

That's exactly right. And she actually was hearing tributes to her yesterday on my way. And so she must have died the night before. But that's how she got famous was she went and she was basically posing as a Playboy bunny. That is exactly true. So get the inside scoop. And I think she was writing for the New York or from what paper. But she wanted to write things that were pro women. And they were saying, if you do that, then we have to have something on the other side. Basically anti women or pro men. And so she started Ms. Magazine and said, it's real. That's kind of there's some big gap in there. But that is the story. She went undercover as a Playboy bunny in 1963. Oh my gosh. Exposing the grueling hours, the low pay, and the sexual harassment or harassment that the women had to endure. In the early 70s, she founded the National Women's Political Caucus and Ms. Magazine.

She actually received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013. And then in 2016, New York Times profile, she says, my funeral will be a fundraiser. Details pending at the time. Oprah Winfrey called her, said this about her, every woman is living in some measure inside the progress of Gloria and what she helped to create. Yeah. So that's high praise. Oh, yeah, very high praise. She was and they were saying, you know, the how you they thought of feminist. She didn't look like, and they even said it in the interview. Her partner from Ms. Magazine said, she didn't look, she didn't have hairy legs, she didn't have hairy armpits. She was wearing a bra like she was a very attractive woman. And she was also a feminist. And so that she got to do and got to progress in ways that others had tried and failed sort of thing.

But yeah, she was something and up to like last year, she was traveling and fighting the good fight for us, gals. I think that this, I mean, I would be interested in a story about going back to 1963, where she says, I'm going to go undercover. Yeah. And obviously she's probably doing that all by herself. I mean, you can't let people in on the secret. So she does that and she infiltrates that. And then, you know, it exposes all this stuff. That to me, that's a story all by itself. It would be a great story. And think about, she's attractive enough to be a playboy bunny. So right away, you have her being able to hide out. And, you know, that's pretty big deal. So yeah. And she was some trailblazer, they say trailblazer. 92. Now Sandra Bullock, have you heard the latest on her? She was on the, I think it's Kelsey.

Kelsey, Kylie Kelsey's podcast. And she's, she has claimed. And that she's seen UFOs. And everybody used to make fun of her because they, you know, this is all your story. You're crazy. Crazy. She says she now feels vindicated because the US government has finally confirmed her belief in aliens. This was on the podcast. She said, there are aliens ships flying around the sky. I've seen them. And I'm so happy the government has finally collaborated on my story. So I no longer have to feel like an insane person. So here's how it goes back to years ago. She was shooting speed two in Saint Martin in the Caribbean. Okay. She saw lights flying in a certain formation. Then when the government released the UFO files, she found that legitimate pilots had seen those same lights moving in the same exact formation.

That was the proof that she needed to say what she saw. And she was filming the speed two movie, 1997 in Saint Martin. That's when that all happened. Wow. So we have a famous person now that even says, oh, well, she's famous. And then she says that it's gotta be true. Gotta be true. I love Saint Ravallik. So I think their practical magic maybe opens today. I didn't see it on the last. Magic two, then maybe it's next weekend. It would think you'd want Labor Day. There should be some good movies opening this weekend, right? There, well, I think it's still the, still the same. The previews I think they were right before Ted Lasso, the new movie. I would come and do America today. It's the deadpool. Ryan Rounds. And Kenneth Brawna. And he, it's from 1987 and he's a pilot that gets shot down behind enemy lines. But it's like one of those, it's by the makers of deadpool.

It's like comedy. Oh, okay. It looks great though. It looks really good. The previews. And that starts today on Apple. Okay, it's a series or a show. No, it's a movie. The movie. Mm-hmm. All right. It looks good. It's one of those that's gonna go straight to Apple. But I think they got a good thing going there. I'm surprised you didn't see it when you were trying to watch Ted Lasso. I just, I, I, I, I always get the skip intro can't you skip it? I think you skip. I skip everything. You can, I guess. I just, what? Listen to her Stanley played glorious Steinem in a 1980, thank you, Uncle Jim. A 1985 ABC television movie called a Bunnies Tale. Oh, sure there is. Oh, I, oh, there's a story. Maybe I'll find that. Thank you, Uncle Jim. Now I remember seeing her in a costume. That makes sense. First, the alley is a good person to remember. Hey, Jimmy. 1985? Yes. Okay.

Now don't you want to know about Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend? Sure. His name is Jim Curtis. Okay. He has a life coach, slash hip-matist. No. Slash a few other things. No, Jen. They have been dating for over a year now. And according to sources, he hasn't necessarily won her friends over. One source says, these are all sources. Some of Jen's friends aren't totally sold on Jim yet. They worry he could be an opportunist and feel like he can come off as a bit of a, a bit of performative. The source also adds at the end of the day, if she's happy, then of course they're happy for her. But they're also very protective of her and they don't want to ever see her get in take advantage of. Sure. I can't remember who was a movie or a book that I read recently where there was somebody like that.

And they came into the person's life and they were a life coach. And they were, yeah. And like a famous person. It was a book I read, I think. But anyway, point being that when you get somebody who is a life coach and multiple other things and you're dating Jennifer Effing, Aniston, I'm pretty sure the friends aren't going to like it because as a life coach, he's telling her Jennifer as a life coach, my recommendations to date me. And what was he in a hypnotist? Hypnotist. Well, see there you go. He's hypnotizing her. Poor Jennifer. And then as far as the movies go, by any means, this is inspired by a true story of a young black FBI agent sent to Mississippi to investigate killings of a civil rights leader. It's pretty heavy stuff. The mafia hitman is Mark Wahlberg.

So he's in it. I haven't seen a preview. I don't know anything. I don't know if that's going to be anything or not. There's another one called onslaught. This one also involves a lot of killing. Yeah. So that's the only things that I see on the board. So I think they just sort of like, well, it's a Labor Day weekend. Yes, people will be going to the movies, but it's probably more Spider-Man and all your usual suspects. And then after that, they'll unleash all the horror movies. Yes. For, uh, yeah, October we start getting into all the. Yes. There's some other big movies that are coming out though in September. And what I think practical magic, I think maybe it's next weekend. And I think that'll do well. Practical magic part two. You're in. I am in. I just rewatched the first one. I think it's so smart when they do that. If they have something coming out like that, they'll re-release. It's kind of like the, I don't know if they re-released it or it was there, but it just became popular again as the nine to five. But I don't know. However, they did it.

They pumped it all the way up to the top. So that's just smart. We all want to see Dolly Parton. When was survivor Greece? Has that happened or is that going to happen? No. Apparently there is a contestant on survivor Greece. Yes. And it could be their own version of survivor. It could be like the great version of. Oh, like that. Yes. But it was a pretty bad deal. The contestant lost part of his leg in a boat propeller accident. That contestant is suing the show for $100 million. I have a feeling that you sign a lot of stuff that says you can't sue. Yeah. There's so much survivor Greece. No, so that must be their version. It is their version. Yeah. Because they've never done one increase. Now, there's been some injuries. There's been some stuff, but I can't believe nobody's ever died.

The wine guy, he was pretty close. He got stung by the snake bit him. And he was, he was in very bad shape. Like it was a highly poisonous. Highly poisonous. In fact, they said if it had bit him more, like it just nipped him and they said it would have been. There's like almost nothing they can do. What was the guy that fell on the fire? How long was it? I was in that Colby or somebody from that was the second season. He came back in the hero or the... They brought a bunch of people back. I don't know what the next season is. I don't know what the theme is for this next season. I'm going to look it up. They say this thing in Greece was an incident occurred when he was spearfishing off an island in the Dominican Republic. Okay. During a break from filming. In his filing, he alleges that the producers built these shows format around spearfishing in waters that were heavily trafficked by tourist boats without adequate safety measures.

And I guess he got hit. His leg got hit with the permit. Yeah. And he lost part of his leg. So that's why there is... All right. ...about that. $100 million though. That's a lot. I'm looking at this cast for the next. I think it's just pretty. I don't see any repeats. A lot of young people. Oh boy. Danny Kilby Kilby. I don't know Danny. Already on spec, I don't like the looks of you. Yeah, a lot of young people. Uh-huh. Oh, interesting. You're in. You're all in for all of them. I am. But when I'm looking at this cast, I just don't see a lot of people that I can relate to. So I mean, it is a young cast. Super young. Well, we'll see. Okay. See what happens there. Okay. But yes, I'll watch it.

Of course, I'll watch it. It's survivor. I have to watch it. And there's only a few seasons that you missed. You missed some, uh, yeah. Like way back. I don't remember a time when you haven't watched Survivor. So... Oh, there was a big chunk before, um, I think when Kevin and I got together in like 2012, I started watching again. But there is a big chunk between the... There's a bunch of seasons that I didn't like. A whole rostin Bob thing. I met a rostin rostin Rob. I missed all that. New season starts up later this month. Yes. On a Wednesday, as we all know. Yes. Okay. All right, we'll do a break. And then we'll come back with our hot topics. Hot topics when we return. The David Molly Show from the New America studio. Hot topics. Brought to you by Clark's Tire and Automotive Center. Thank you, Clark. Let's jump into our hot topics. Uh, birthdays today. She just was referenced earlier in the show. Who's that? Whitney Cummings. Oh, yeah. Yeah. She's 44 today.

Two broke girls creator. Oh, my God. I forgot that. And she used to host the, uh, a lot of the, um, the roasts on Comedy Central. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. 44. It's got a pretty good thing going. Uh, now, uh, you would think, Oh, Whitney Cummings, good. You're probably the most famous person, uh, you know, in the world of entertainment. Having a birthday today. No. Beyonce had to have a birthday today too. The queen. Uh, she's worth about a billion dollars. She's 45. And those people say she's beautiful. Mm hmm. Yeah. Beautiful. Get her job. Uh, here's your, here's your question. Uh, for one dollar. Celebrating his 58th birthday today from the world of sports. And you must have it all right to get the dollar. Okay. Who is Mike Piazza? Mike Piazza is a catcher for the Dodgers. Oh,

do you play for the Dodgers? Well, you play for the Mariners, didn't you? I think you play for, I thought he played for the Metz. You might have played for the Dodgers as well. No, you play for the Dodgers too. Okay. All right, I got a dollar. You can collect on next Friday. Oh, okay. Good. Just that you have to remember. I think I owed you a dollar anyway. So we're now. Good to see where you're even. Uh, this one I know you know. Yeah. Lawrence Hilton Jacobs. He is boom boom Washington from Wilkabak Kato. Very good. Kata. 73 years old today. Yeah. And uh, still with us? Yes. He's the only other Swethog. He directs a lot of shows that you wouldn't. You're just watching an episodic, you know. TV drama. The rookie something like that and all of a sudden it'll say directed by Lawrence Hilton Jacobson. Well, that's good. He still works. Uh, and horseback is gone and Epstein is gone. Mr. Woodman is gone and Mrs. Cotter is gone.

Oh, that's right. So I think the first time I've ever seen that. I've ever seen that. Well, the first time I've seen that. Burrino, boom, boom. And Mr. Cotter is still alive. Yeah, Cape definitely. Oh, those show shows very important to my youth. Tom Watson 77. He's a drummer for. He said drummer Tom Watson is a drummer for the Rolling Stones. You're thinking of Charlie Watts. All right. I would say you were close, but but that would be wrong. Um, Merrill Night. Merrill Night, also known as Baba. That was one of Gladys Night's Pips. Oh, he was her brother. And so, you know, he got to be one of the Pips, Gladys Night and the Pips. So he did okay with that deal. He's 84. Okay.

And no longer with us, but man, I was glad that he was a part of our life. Legendary, radio superstar Paul Harvey would have had a birthday today. He made it to, let's see, he was 91 when he died. Mm-hmm. But. And what did you do to him? Uh, we called him on his birthday one time. Yes. And I said I was Tom Broca. And he believed it the whole time that you brought out. You brought out the sunshine on a very gray Chicago day. And then at the very end, he said, thank you for this call. Oh my God. It was, it was terrible. And Ken, that's when Ken said to me in the studio, he pointed at me and he said, you're a bad man. I said, but I didn't have the heart to tell him because he got so excited so quickly that it was like, if I tell him

that this is a joke, it's, it's gonna. And he might not have understood it either. Might have been confusing and very upsetting to his soul. Yeah. How old was he then? Oh boy. He was, uh, I think he was probably at least in his 80s. Well, how long ago? He, he died when he was nine. He died. Uh, he died when he was 91 in 2009. Oh. So I don't know. It's probably. Were you in the studio then? Maybe you, you were not in there. So it must have been to the time when like in the star time when no, it was no. By the time I came along, you were telling, you were, uh, not telling people that you were broke up. By the time I came along, I believe that it already happened and that you were on the thing where you didn't tell. And that you, and that's where that started. Well, I, I usually would tell the only reason I didn't tell him is because he was so happy and he was so touched that Tom Broca would call him on his

birthday. So he was just right off the bat. It's like, I can't tell this guy that I'm a fake a phony. Did you tell Oprah? I told Oprah. Did I? Oh, I didn't know. No. Did you tell, um, who else do we talk to? Hey, I got a second wait for it. Uh, Larry Hagman. Larry, Larry Hagman never knew. No. There were a lot that never knew. And you would do the thing where you call people and thank them for the gift basket that they sent. And you never told them. Yes. That while you couldn't tell them that. No. Paul Harvey, I would have told. But I just, it couldn't tell him because he was so honored and so touched. Oh, you brought out the sun. And I remember when he finally did die in 2009. Yeah. I said, well, today's the day he finds out that Tom Broca never called it. Well, let's do the math then. How, how many years before that did you call him? I don't, I've got the, I've got the tape of it somewhere.

In 2000, 2001. No, it was after that. Oh, maybe it was started. Yeah. Hmm. I'm going to say it was probably 2004, 2005. Oh, okay. That's my guess. All right. I'm glad I wasn't there to witness. Yeah. Oh, and Ken, he called me out. Boy, he was, he didn't like how I treated Paul Harvey. But I was a, I love Paul. I was a huge Paul Harvey fan. Loved him. And but I just thought it was that. How you treat people you love. I hate to see how you treat your enemies. Dave. That's terrible. When Ken Hopkins says you're a bad man, you're a bad man. Oh, yeah. He was very upset with you. It's so well. Well, how do I, it would have been worse to tell him. I think it was, I think he enjoyed that whole day, that whole week. He probably told all of his friends. He told his wife, Angel. Angel, you'll never believe the call that I got today. Tom Broca called me to wish me happy birthday. He brought out the sunshine. I'm very great. Chicago day.

I thanked him for the call. Oh, Paul, that's so great. I'm just gonna call, I was gonna call my friend Shelley and tell her all about it. Shelley, you wouldn't believe who cut what? What do you mean, right? Spoke it. What? You think it was a fraud? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hmm. Let's take you back to 1972 at the Munich Olympics. Mark Spitz. Yeah, becomes the first Olympian to ever win seven gold medals. Wow. This is 1972. Very different time. His seventh was a, was in the 400 meter. Medley swimming relay. Yes. He set records in all seven of his gold medals. That's I feel pretty impressive. And then Michael Phelps comes along in 2008 and he wins eight gold medals. He does this to Mark Spitz.

That's so cute. I'm gonna have to go ahead and break all your records. That's tough. Yeah. Oh, in the history of Mark Spitz swimming, nine golds, one silver, one bronze. Okay. Michael Phelps, 23 gold, three silver, two bronze. And if you're the second best swimmer in the whole world in the last decade and a half, and you have to go up against him. Yeah, you are in your own right. You are fast and furious and you're the best and you are working. And then you see that he's coming back for another Olympic and you think, well, there's no way I can do that. Yeah. Why does he keep? There's probably someone in China who's in the world, I don't know where all the good, you know. Germany or whatever. It has one gold, 16 silver, 12 bronze, something like that.

Yes. Michael Phelps took all the good ones. Yeah. And if you are Michael Phelps, do you ever, like obviously you got your 23 golds? Yeah. But like do you even bring out the silver or the bronze? You just like those just get tucked in a, you know, those are the throwaway medals. I think you just display them all, light up a bowl, joy yourself. No, he liked to do that too. Yes, he did. We'll take you back to 33 years ago today. 1993 is the year, you know, getting the in the home stretch of baseball season. Yes. New York Yankees pitcher Jim Abbott throws a no hitter against the Cleveland Indians. What was significant about Jim Abbott, no hitter against the Cleveland Indians? He pitched with both hands. He pitched lefty than writing. He, they still lost. It was a no hitter, but they still lost. Jim Abbott only had one hand.

Oh, so I guess he couldn't throw it. Yeah, he was born without a right hand. He did the thing where he'd he'd pitch and then he throws glove on. Yes, yeah, I remember seeing him. It's crazy. Yeah. But he was legit. And he threw a no hitter. He's in the history of books. Yeah. Oh, Jen knew it. She said, I have it on the head one hand. That's pretty quick. Yeah. Thanks, Jen, from CDA. That Jen. 1998 Google was incorporated by Larry Page and Sergey Bren. They were PhD students at Stanford. That's when they decided to put Google together. Together, they own 14% of its shares and control 56% of the stockholder voting power through a super voting stock. Man. The original name of Google? Back rub.

Gross. I heard a whole report yesterday. They were talking about a well person is written a book. It talks about the school districts and tech and how the school districts weren't moving fast enough with computer science. So Microsoft came along and said, well, we're going to give you computers because we want you to learn. So they gave you a bunch of computers and they said, start learning, computer stuff, start learning all this stuff. And then Google said, hi, we're going to give every single school district in the United States these Google book things. Remember, they came along with the book things and they started basically indoctrinating so that every school district had Google and they all switched to Google and they were saying what happens with that is that Google is then linked to Apple and then you start this thing where you have your first email as a Google email and then your product is probably going to be an Apple phone and then it's all compatible. So you're probably going to get an iPad and then you're going to get it this and that and that's how they kind of built this whole juggernaut

it was by planting and giving them free stuff. That's a good story. The Apple, because maybe Apple learned something because in the early days when Microsoft was starting their software, they were giving it to computer companies and the whole battle in Apple was those guys are idiots. Yeah. The phrase was they're cannibalizing themselves. That was the phrase. And it was, you know, no, the Microsoft guy. No, it was the app? No, no, he's Apple. Not Paul Allen, Bill Gates, Jesus, can't do it. Yeah, but Bill Gates said no, this is the plan and just kind of like what he said, they by using their system and all these computers, that was became the dominant system. And there was a time it was like 90, 10 at one time

or Microsoft over Apple. Now with Apple, all the other stuff that Apple does, that you know, with the phones and all that kind of stuff, they've definitely changed the game. When they brought out the MacBooks, you know, those little, the sturdy books that all the kids could have at their desk, that was game changer. Because they are giving millions of those, you know, to the school districts and stuff, but the school districts. They're playing the long game. Yes, they are playing the long game. And, but, but the guy, because she talked to this Microsoft guy over 10 years and he said, look, they, with the private sector had, we had to step in because where would we be? The school districts were not doing this. They were not teaching the kids what they were going to need. Other countries are way ahead of us. So we stepped in and said, we're just going to go ahead and, and take this up on our own. And then the whole Google machine stepped in. So. I know you know. The rest of the story. All of the little knowledge. Thank you for that story.

You brought out this on a gruby, whole candy. 24 years ago today, this is the 24th anniversary of Kelly Clarkson becoming your first American Idol. Now for $5, where were Dave and Ken, the night Kelly Clarkson became the American Idol? Were you having a party for it? What was the year? 2002. Were you walking to quarterly? Nope. You were on a cruise. This is the most bizarre deal ever. We were, we were doing something at Silverwood the next day. And we stayed in a tiny little hotel, like in, I don't know where it was, like, Apple or somewhere way out in the middle of nowhere. And, and the final episode of American Idol was on. The next morning we were, we were at Silverwood. Our friend Tasha, who used to work with us.

She was all over this. She was like in the early days of American Idol when it's just this brand of so she was like, oh, this thing's going to be huge and we were like, oh, you know, we don't know. And then it just got huge. Not survivor big, but the first American Idol title championship when she won the thing was huge deal. 2020, it was 2002. September of 2002. Wow. Okay. I was thinking maybe it was the Silverwood wedding situation, but that was earlier. That was like in 2000. That might even have been in the 90s. Or 99. Yeah. Might have been that first summer that I worked with you guys. And I believe the statute of limitations has run out on this. So we will expose, well, it's not us. We didn't do anything wrong. But Paul Horton, Paul Horton was a weather guy here in town. And he worked a couple of different stations. He was there with us in the hotel at the place. And he plugged up a toilet.

And we have, we still have, this is before like phone photos. Yeah. There is a photo of the plunger right outside of his room because he had the, he was the plunger. And I think Paul, he went to, he was here for a while. Then he went to Arizona. Yeah, I think it was since somewhere else first, then Arizona. I think he's in Arizona now. I remember him. He used to come up and be on this show. Yep. He was great. He was a lot of fun. Very much fun. Live day, very fun life. We should play the weather game with him. That was the original thing. And that was we, we'd get the USA today. And we try to guess the weather temperature in like Hawaii and my not North Dakota. He used to tease me about mine. Yeah. Oh, a long time ago. That was a long time ago. Paul Horton. Paul Horton is near, so he used to say.

Well, it used to come up. There was another, there was a female. I mean, I know we used to have Robin and Melissa, but before that, way before that, when, when Tosh and I did our cheer, it's good. Good. That was Nicole McGregor. Yes. That's right. That's right. And those were good days. All time. Good days. As you pointed out earlier, our television notes, the series that you're the show that you were thinking of, Mayday. Yeah. This is an action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as a fighter pilot, shot down during the Cold War in the 80s. Yes. It's on Apple starting tonight. He's behind enemy lines. It looks funny. It looks very, very much like his type of humor and Deadpool type of action. And yeah, it'll, it looks good. Kenneth Brana. I haven't seen him in anything in a while. Yeah. Pretty good.

Pretty good too. And then Sunday, Sunday afternoon, 1 o'clock, K HQ television, Apple Cup. That's big. That's big. It's a, it's a little lopsided. I don't remember. Well, there's a couple of firsts. First of all, Apple Cups never have been played on a Sunday. I don't think it's ever been played in September. Oh, that's another thing. But it's the, the point spread as the last I saw, it was 24 points. Cougars are 24 point underdogs. They've been underdogs more than they've been favorites. Yeah. By a long ways. But I don't know, I don't remember point spread being that. That seems a little lopsided. It seems a little high for a rival game. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm not saying, take the cougars and the points. I'm just saying, take the cougars and the points. But I'm not saying that. Being very clear, you can take the cougars and the points with our friends out at Northern Quest. Yes, you can.

Yeah, there were some, some Yehu doing a commercial for it and saying that you can, you can bet, you can bet a Cougar football, Husky football all season long. You can even bet Gontag, a basketball when, when the season starts, but you can bet the futures. I think they're plus 4,000 to win the national championship and you can bet that at Northern Quest. Wow. Look at all these things we can do now. It needs to be allowed to do any of that stuff. No. Right? And you can walk right into that casino and fire up a cigarette. Yes, you can. You can have a drink in one hand, cigarette in the other, park your, park yourself right in front of a slot machine and just play all day if you want. That's right. You can do that now. Yes, you can. Heck, yes, you can. That's the beauty of it. Those are your television notes. Okay.

As we know it. All right. Now, I think what we're going to do is we have the interview with our friends from the Bex that were, this was back. It was late July when we actually did the interview and it aired live. So it was kind of cool. And then they did some commercials and everything. But because they have a big event all through the Labor Day weekend. Yeah. We want to remind you about it because it was really, really cool. That was great. And it's a good thing if you don't have any plans for Labor Day, maybe head on up there. The weather looks great. And it's free. That's the, you don't even have to buy a ticket. It's just free and they have food trucks and wine stuff. Live music. Fans and yeah. So what we're going to do, we're going to, we're going to finish the show like we normally would. But then we're going to play that segment. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, so don't panic when you hear them. We hear us talking about, oh, well, next month is August. Yeah. Yeah. It's all, it's been recorded from previous time. Yeah.

Okay. All right. Okay. So what you're saying is, first of all, Jeff has been sending things in all morning. Jeff, we love you. Good morning. He just said, okay, whatever. Oh, because you haven't responded. Well, yeah, it's hard when we're on and then he wanted you to do your impression of Tom Brokai, I think. And then he said, night, what wish I've bought stock? Jack and Dan's big poop or okay, whatever. That's going to take a night. Well, let's just catch up on the text line, really. Michelle and Tony are checking in from the Gorge. Beautiful weather out there. Oh, my gosh, you guys. Very nice. Gorge is nice weather. Yes. Okay. That's good. Yep. I have heard and I haven't checked in the last few hours, but as of this morning, the weather was looking better and better all through the Labor Day weekend. Yep. I was supposed to play golf today and it just wasn't going to work out for a number of reasons.

But the guys that I was supposed to play with said, well, you know, it's not going to be the best weather, but we're still going to do it whatever, whatever. Well, now it's fine. It is. Today is good. It is a great day. Tomorrow is going to be sunny, partly cloudy, 72. Nothing wrong with that. And then Sunday, there's a 45 chance per cent of rain, but it's 74 is the high. And it looks like we're off and on. We have chances of rain here and there, but overall, I think it's going to be a very nice weekend. Everything's fine. It's going to be great. Hmm. Okay. What's the plan for the weekend? Well, so for today, I, how long will you wear the Giants hat all day? Maybe all day, every day, maybe. I don't know. I already got it on now. I'm going to have hat hair. So I might as well leave it on our friend Lisa is going to come to the station, pick up her stuff. Okay. Drop off some stuff for me, which is nice. And then I think what my I would like to do is head home and get the doggy out for a quick

walk. She's in a walk and forever. But I got to check in with her. Then I need to be out in the valley at one o'clock. So it's going to be tight. But I, but then I would like to have my afternoon free if I wanted to head out west and I want to know that I've already checked in with the doggy and everything like that after the valley, after the valley. See how that works. So I want to try to get home first, then go to the valley, then go straight out so I don't show my face again. So I show my face again. That's not hard to get broken, you guys. Then I will be home by 530. I will be in front of my computer. I will get some food probably. If I'm out west, I will probably obtain some food from where I am so that I have dinner. I'm going to sit in front of my computer and I'm going to do the draft. Give me very exciting. Your first draft ever. Yes. And April is now my co manager. So we will probably have some phone contact, maybe on speaker phone, maybe we chat, maybe we text. And then tomorrow I think I'm going to head to court lane, spend the day and the evening with my mom.

Leave the dog with Ken. And then I think that I Sunday, I want to go to the concert. We're still afraid of that, but we'll be there at the concert and then Monday is kind of open. They don't really have labor day, gambling day, maybe or up to green bluff. Oh, yes. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see what happens. There's lots of options. That's that's cool part of it. I've left it pretty open. So there are only like things that I know I'm going to hang out with my mom. I know I want to go to the show. So but other than that, it's all open and I love that. I love that about a three day weekend. And Alex is out of town. The girls are busy. So no obligations there. Got to take advantage of those days. Last week at this time we were getting ready for John Malaney and then a girls camping weekend. How about you? We're a lot of similarities. I was actually, today would be a great dog walk day and it's open and I'll probably getting

reports from golfing friends saying, oh, it's so nice out here. Yeah, we're doing this all this happen. Oh, we're having all the birdie juice. But no, I actually, I pushed that off to the side for a number of reasons, but today would be a good day to get Maui for a walk. I too will be ready in front of my computer, six o'clock for the first of two fantasy football drafts this weekend. So I'm looking forward to that. I'm going to kind of hang close to home. Today is the day that Nadine gets her port taken out, you know, from the chemotherapy and everything, they have a port that they insert, inner and it's, but it finally can come out and today is the day for that. So that's great. That's wonderful. So that will be afternoon surgery and then, you know, you know, trickle on into the early evening. But I'll do the draft tomorrow is fairly open and then the only thing that that's on the board for Sunday is the concert, which I'm looking forward to.

Earth went in fire at Northern Quest. It'd be fun. Still take it's available, I believe. So up on it. And right before that will be the second of the two drafts. And this is the fantasy league that I've been in for the last 10 years. It's 10th anniversary of the league. I've won it twice and finished in the money four times. We did research on it. So four out of nine times. Yeah, you're I have made money. So that's pretty good. I like, I like those numbers. Better than Quinn's odds. Yes. Mr. Mr. Quinn for Mr. expert. That'll be beyond the computer for that starts at five. So I'll be on the computer for a while. I don't know how much of it we get done before we head out to Northern Quest. We'll probably try to get there early. I like to be there early for the concert and take it all in and for the spirit of it all. That we'll see how it goes. And then the plan is that we're both back on Tuesday ready for a four day work week. Even we can do that.

Can't mess it up. Nope. This bar can't mess it up. Right. All right. Close out the show. But when you hear the thing at the end, the closer show closer, stay with us and then we're going to rerun the back. Interview. I have a feeling at the end of the back interview, we talk about what we're going to do. Okay. Don't be confused. Don't be confused. It's just a rerun. I may bail out of it. Yeah. Yeah. That's true. All right. Have a wonderful weekend. Everybody will have stories to tell when we come back on Tuesday.
