You know when people try a new food and suddenly it's like, okay, hold on. I got a new favorite food. That's the reaction a lot of people are having when they first try Kupy Mayo. Yeah, it's the one with the red cap and the little baby on the bottle. You've probably seen it at the grocery store. And this mayo is different. Mm-hmm. Most mayonnaise uses whole eggs. Kupy only uses egg yolks, which gives it this rich umami flavor. It's smoother, deeper, almost buttery. Once people try it, they start putting it on everything.
Egg sandwiches, fries, burgers, chefs use it, restaurants use it, people who really care about flavor use it, put it on just about anything. Then you'll understand. Kupy, the original Japanese mayonnaise. We now return to the Dave and Molly Show. Hey, welcome back everybody. It is the Dave and Molly Show, but now, right now we look forward to this every week. Thursdays, it's Dave Kenan Molly. Hey, boom. Hi, good morning, good morning, good morning. Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning to be. Why does that smell like bacon in here? Well, careful. Careful. I heard a wrong. No. There's a missing pig at the fair. What? Now. It's all good. What were you doing two years ago yesterday? Did I come in on the program? You were announcing your retirement. Oh, yes, that's right. We talked about that. Yes. Oh, okay, cool. I did see a memory pop-up, big announcements. A couple of big announcements. That was, you were retiring, and then we were going to have announcement,
but we invited everybody to the Fox. But we hadn't told them about the show yet. Oh, right. I think that's right. I think it was. It was like a double announcement. Two years retired. You've been retired for two years. I put the tire in retired. I don't know. Well, you fix some screens. You're working in a funeral house. I don't. I travel in the country. A Labor Day was screen fixer weekend. More on that later because I know all the screenies are out there. Oh, yeah, they want to fold the screenies. I can't remember who I was talking to. And they asked about your screens. And I said, well, you know, I bet he would. That he'd work on your screen. Wow. It's a big hole. I said, well, there's no hole too big for Ken Hopkins. Yeah. Yeah. Once you get the screen, the hole doesn't matter. Right. Yeah. Although I judge and I even told my wife, I kind of see as I it because I want to know who did it and what happened.
Yeah. Every screen has a story. I figured out a couple more on that later. On the next CSI screen. Yeah. Well, we have lots to get to, but we want to do the showdown. And you're going to you're going to stay for that. And then you can. You can have your input on some of these questions because Molly says she has four football questions. I sure do. I'm going to feel bad if I'm out of the loop on those. I missed the football question. You said I in the loop. You got you missed two. What? This shot clock. Which I did miss that. However, I know why I missed it because last night they had a situation after a. I mean, a stoppage of play. Yes. Then it is a 25 second. Plot. Not not, not 40 seconds. So that's why there was, there was some confusion on that. But then I know the one that Brian and Brian was mad at himself was the.
The biggest thing. Yeah. I got that one. That's $5. I know. I forgot to give you $5. I forgot to give you $5. Just to do it by the way. And don't think I didn't remember that when I was looking through and I thought well this $5. No, I'm buying something with it. He's going to get that. That's okay. I bought something with your $5. Let's see. Do I have any $5 questions? Well, yes. I do. I have a $5 question at number two. Okay. Second question. All right. Let's get ready for the showdown. What do you think? And then Cheryl's going to be calling here in a second. Cool. It's time for Dave's cash showdown. Time for you to throw down. Winning in a minute and answer ten. Dave comes in and answers in again. If your scores inferior, the day will rain superior. It's time to play around.
Dave's cash showdown. Showdown featuring football questions. Yes. Very exciting. Low sports. This is the last one. I'm only doing this because it's opening week. I'm not. This is not going to be a trend. So don't be afraid. However, tomorrow when I do the questions, maybe I have a football question. Maybe just one. Then we wrap up football week. Hey, tell Ken who's winning Fantasy Football. Molly is winning Fantasy Football right now. April and I are winning. And yet again, you're putting out food here. Carpet. One game. What was your plan team is winning? What was your plan. I like that. Cheryl, are you. Hello. Cheryl? Yes, I'm here. Oh, good. There you are. Yeah. And Ken's getting a message on his phone at the same time. Yeah. Here you're loud and clear. speaking with football questions.
Oh, well, maybe Ken can help. Maybe Ken can help on the football questions. Maybe in a sense. You did football yesterday. Why are we revisiting football? I said because it's the second. It's the this is it. But you have Ken Hopkins. So Ken is allowed to chime in on the football questions only. Oh, OK. OK. Yeah. OK. I'll say it's fair. OK. Very fair. I'll agree fair. OK. Fair is what we need. All right. I'm going to leave the studio. Molly has the 10 questions. Yeah. Football questions. A money question and a show question at number 10. Yes. All right. So good luck, Cheryl. OK. Thank you. You too. All right, Cheryl. So in general, what is your strongest topic? Oh, maybe entertainment, medical, or the medical. Yeah. That's not. Yeah. Nothing there. Well, we'll see how I do.
All right. All right. Then I will just ask you this. Are you ready to throw down on the showdown? Most definitely. All right. Here we go. What are the only two NFL teams to win a Super Bowl in their home stadiums? And good help. The giant giant giant giant? No. Oh, 49. I have no clue. OK. I'll just go to. All right. This is the $5 question. Which film earned Stanley Kubrick a razzy nomination for worst director? Would that be the shining? My god, you got it, Cheryl. Nice job. Holy crap. I'm rich. You are rich. OK. The Niagara Falls empties into which great lake. Superior. All right.
Here's another football question. Who is the first head coach of the Seattle Seahawks? Well, I should know that. So should Ken. Look at his headache. He's giving himself a headache. I'm stuck on the second guy. Boy, a name's not coming to me. No, OK. I'm going to say Chuck Knox, but I don't know. That's correct. Which film sported at the tag line just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water? God. Can you keep going? There you go. Thank you. Oh, thank you. All right. Here's another football. In 2010, which player became the only grandfather in the NFL? Oh, gosh. And I believe. Oh, my God. Is he still playing? I don't think he's still playing. Oh, I think he was a packer. Believe he was a packer.
He was a quarterback. Aaron Rogers. Ratt Farm. Ratt Farm. I'll accept Ratt Farm. You'll take that. What is the capital of Minnesota? Minneapolis. Who was the first female to be featured on the front of a Wheaties box? Then Dr. Player, it needs testing. All right. How many NFL teams have bird mascots? Name as many as you can? Or just give me the number? Seahawks, Eagles. I'm not a football person. OK. You got two. OK, three. Four. Give one more. Name after a poem. I said, Eagles. Did you get Eagles? I got Eagles. Got Cardinals. Oh. Oh, I got Seahawks. But you never more to raise them. The Ravens and you got the Falcons. Between you, you got all five.
I'm giving it to you. And today's show question. What does Molly uses a palette cleanser after watching programs at night? Oh, I just heard you do that. Oh, my God. It's the go to show I have to watch one every day. Then that would be Brady Don said, woo. I didn't hear you say that. Oh, I said, I know. I said, I said, I had two after a long day, kind of watch it. All right. Well, Dave's coming back. We'll see. I think that I think it was helpful. A respectful white thing. I think it was respectable. I think can help a little bit. A little bit. OK. That's what happens. Can help with football questions? Hey, I have a question. Try to. Maybe for a different time. But for our viewers on YouTube, does this screen look crooked? Well, look at it later. I think I did that yesterday. I think my chair got stuck under it. Oh, do you do? I'm looking at the wall. When I was looking from on the screen,
I think it looks OK. But when I was standing out there waiting to come back in, I was looking at it. It looks like it's a little, but I don't know. That's a question for our viewers. Right. Somebody else. Did Cheryl win $5? She did. Oh, yeah. Good job, Cheryl. She did. And then how did she do with the football questions? Well, with a little help, she, I think, she got two of them. I think she did as well as I did. OK. All right. All right. All right. My turn to play. Here we go. 10 questions for me. What are the only 2 NFL teams to win a Super Bowl at their home stadium? Tampa Bay. And the Rams. Ah, impressive. Yes. That's it. Yeah. Really? Here's your $5 question. Which film earned Stanley Kubrick a razzied nomination for Worcester? Oh, you put this in there just for your purposes.
Eyes wide shut. The Niagara Falls empties into which great lake? Ontario. Or. Oh, like America. Oh, yeah. Of course. Wait. No, I know that drink. That's what it is. What do you mean? OK. Who is the first head coach of the Seattle Seahawks? Ooh. Chuck Knox. That's what he said. Jack Fatera. Yes. Good job. I will allow it. OK. Come on with that. Which film sported the tagline just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water? Jaws, too. In 2010, which player became the oldie grandfather in the NFL? In 2010? Oh, my gosh. That is a great question. I don't know that. OK. What is the capital of Minnesota?
St. Paul. Who is the first female to be featured on the front of a Weebies box? Ooh. Mary the Rettin. How many NFL teams with bird mascots can you name? Well, all of them. OK. Well, then go ahead. Well, Seahawks, it's not really a bird, but it is a bird thing. See it? Seahawks, Falcons, Ravens, Cardinals, Eagles. And of those five, which is not an actual real team. Cardinals. Ah. It was only five? Oh, they're nice. All right. And a final question. What does Molly use as a cleanser, palette cleanser at the end of a day? Brady Bunch episode. Very good. Oh. Boom. OK. OK. Adam, all up. Special? I'm adding them up. Special. Oh, wow. OK. We have our final score, ladies and gentlemen. Dave wins eight, five. Hey. Hey. But she won five dollars. Did I win five dollars?
No, you did not. Damn it. What was the five dollar question again? It was what film did Stanley Kubrick get a raw, raw, and it was a nice white shot. It was for the shining. The shining? Really? Yes. Well, they're just wrong. I went right to Eyes Wide Shot. I thought that's why you put it in there. Oh, that's the trick. But she got it. Nice work, Cheryl. Yeah, she said, holy crap, I'm ready. Oh, she sure. She sure. Well, that's what I would say if I won. So, but you got a Tampa and the Rams. Very good. The shining Ontario Lake Ontario. Jack Patera was the first one. Couldn't come up with him. And they fired him while he was on a fishing boat. No. Higher Chuck Knox. Grown Chuck. Ground Chuck. Yeah, that's what they called it. Farve was the first grandfather in the NFL. Oh, OK. And they gave me a clue. She said he was a packer, and I stuck. Far.
Yeah. OK. Good question. I knew he was a packer, and I knew he was a quarterback. A safe, Paul, very good. Mary Lou Retten, very good. You both got all the mascots, and you both got the brave bunch. Ah. Yeah. Almost. Almost thought, you know, a little shot of bourbon since he had the bourbon guy. Oh, yeah. But Brady Bunch, of course. Brady Bunch is my palette cleanser. It's what makes me happy. And then usually when I get in bed, I have to watch a friend's episode or two. Hmm. Because, you know, it's important. As one would. Especially if you actually disturbing documentary. Real value shows up in reliability. You don't have to second guess. Like a set of Firestone All-Season Tires. Go ahead and text it to me and I would like you to take the $5 out to one of the very best machines and turn it into 20,000 for yourself. Oh, what a nice person. Very nice. Thank you so much. That could be that could be all it takes is a set of one. Oh, actually, you could have two more spins. Yeah, maybe five. That'll find the money question for years. Yes. That's right. All right, Cheryl, you're wonderful. I never know. Thank you very much for playing the game. Text in your address and then Molly will give you the we're going to do a picture. Oh, yeah, oh, the picture. Oh, okay. And then the money just gets rolled out. So I guess we don't need anything. Everything's fine. You gotta let me know if you win big. I don't want anything. I just want to know. I just want to know. Okay. It would make me really happy. All right. Okay.
All right. Thank you, Cheryl. All right. Have a good day, guys. You too. Thank you. Okay. I'm going to go to the next Friday. I will have questions and Molly will have to answer them. Oh, yeah. Take those questions. I have answers. That's right. What is Molly's general record on freaky Friday? I got a win. A five last. I think it's all. Yeah. We've only done three, right? This will be the fourth. Ah. So I think you're going to think it's a one one and one. It's not bad. Yeah. My friend Patrick says that the screen looks a tiny bit crooked. Okay. And I believe it's because I am a little bit more than I thought. I'm going to say it's a little bit more than I thought. I'm going to say it's a little bit more than I thought. I think the screen looks a tiny bit crooked. Okay. And I believe it's because I accidentally got. When the pig was here and I was backing up away from the crap coming out of its butt in real time. It got stuck. I was trying to back away from the chair or something else got stuck. He said the chair don't get into it again. All right. I don't know. I don't know. I have to look from out there. I just caught my eye when I was outside of the studio. It looks okay in the.
Yeah. It looks okay on that. I don't know how to move it. I'm scared. Anyway. Yeah. It looks good. But Kent here. Did you watch the game last night? I did. Yeah. Go Hawks. My goodness. And. Grindr style. And the defense just kept coming up with play. Yeah. And a play after play. I enjoyed it. Including the clinching interception in the end zone. I know. Two feet down. That was. That was a grinder. And you've been very excited about this football season. You said it. You said you have never been more excited for football. I know. I am. You're Mariners. Well, I know. I believe are they 10 games under. I don't. It's not happening. They only have to win 14 of their next 17 games. Is that all? That's all. Yeah. I did hear a sports reporter say. Because it's. Shrinking down. Every game is a playoff game for the. Mariners. Yeah. Yeah. They got to basically win out.
I know. Basically. And you got your Mariner thing on. I'm a Lanier. Yeah. Yeah. I shouldn't have that on. Remember when Molly had you bet $100 on the Mariners. Right. I believe. I'm not sure. I think I was forced into it. No, I was not. Well, we felt like it was time you put your money where your mouth was. Exactly. You were like a mom and making a mom and making mom and making I like the Mariners. I like it. And then I said just put your money up. And why I didn't do it last year. Yeah. I didn't go all the way but wild card and almost one all the way. It is. I admired the spirit of it all. But you know, again, when you're betting on something that's never happened before. What if what if we live in a world where we never see that happen where they never, ever even make it to the world series. The only team that's never made it to the world series. Yeah. They are. And I asked my two sons several years ago.
I said, which happens first in my lifetime Mariners, when a world series or consague wins the national championship. And the Gonzaga has been there. They've been all around it. Knocking on the door. Not going to the final four and all that. So I don't know. And now you know you can bet on Gonzaga to win the national championship at Northern Quest. Yeah. I there are gambling ads all over. Yeah. Very exciting. It's you. You can walk in. Yeah. Yeah. I watched a lot of college football over the weekend. And I know it. That's kind of cranking up a little. What do you think of that Michigan game? Yeah. Talk about the Monday morning over reaction show. Yeah. I'd like to our friend Dan Patrick sports guy said, now.
Was there time left or did they add time? Where was the time? Yeah. It was under a ham sandwich somewhere. It wasn't her ham sandwich. Well, they found it. They found it an extra second. They said not they said after the fact you know, they said the Western Michigan. They should have just run off the field and gotten the showers. Yeah. It's over. It is what it is. If you want to run up another play. Go ahead. Yeah. That was a shock. And then he was very mad that they stormed the field because that was tacked. Yeah. I mean, if you're playing, if you're a 30 point favorite and you win the game to storm the field. feel like you've done something special. It is. I mean, it had to be frantic. Yeah. But it was a tremendous exciting finish. I like big blue. Yeah. Go blue. Michigan, you know. But. Well, what do you do? Now, did either of you watch the tennis match that went to 333 in the morning? I heard about that because I was watching ESPN after the football game and they they they had tennis coverage. So,
I guess what happens? It's the US Open. Yeah. You knew right. Right. They have a five match thing or whatever. So some games are two hours. Some games are five and a half hours. So you can. You never know. Yeah. So the writer that I heard an interview and he said, I think they need an overhaul. They they need an overhaul in this thing because you can't predict the biggest moment of this guy's life. It went from 40,000 or whatever. However, many people fit in that thing. There were about 7,000 people still in the stands at 333. I think even that's impressive. Yeah, it was. And this is New York City. It's right there. It's a weeknight. And this guy has the biggest biggest moment of his life. He wins. And there's everybody is asleep. Yeah. It's 330 in the morning. Yeah. But the city's almost asleep. Yeah. And anyway, the story was pretty fascinating. But this is happening more and more where these great moments happen where most of America is like checked out. And they need an overhaul. And it's hard to get caught up on the high. But when you have a match that
goes five hours or whatever, then you can't. Brian says he matched watch that match. Really? And he said the 330 in the morning. Well, actually, for us, it would have been 1230. Right. Right. Still. Right. Still late. With all that, that's way late. So I thought that was pretty interesting story. And the reporter guy, he's like, then we had to go do a press conference. Right. After the match, then I'm on a platform in New York City trying to get a subway back to my hotel at 5am or whatever. He said, which is not a pleasant experience. So you got all these New Yorkers leaving, you know, a lot of New Yorkers take the subway to get to pieces like that. Anyway, he said the logistics involved are just horrible. They've got to fix this thing. And then he's got to be back there at 10am. Yeah. Yeah. I was listening to him talk to people on my way out of here yesterday. So he was already up and talking to, you know, the MPR people like, how was it and stuff? So yeah.
Fleshing meadow, I believe. That's right. Where they play? Oh, that's right. Yeah. Outside of Queens. It's like one of their, is that the last major for tennis? I'm not sure. I don't know. The three, the sisters are back. They were, they played at the doubles. I think they got knocked out. They stormed off. Oh, did they? Yeah. I don't think they stormed off. Well, I think there were one of them stormed off. Really? What for to hurt? Did they? Well, I hear stuff. They're 48 and 46 years old. So that's remarkable. Wow. Yeah, that's pretty amazing. I don't know so much about tennis all of a sudden. Oh, it's good topic. Hey, you're going to check in there. Yeah. How was Ken's week? What was the, tell us more about the, you said there was more on the screen situation. What's the, what's the story on the screen? So I entered about Labor Day. A lot of stuff going on. I did, we had a lot of guests and I'll talk about that. But when they left, I said, Hey, there's two screens that have gashes in them. And I fixed them individually, but
real value shows up in reliability. You don't have to second guess like a set of Firestone all season tires. They're designed to deliver confidence inspiring wet weather traction and a quieter ride, no matter the road season after season. Firestone all season tires for durability. You can count on just like people count on you. Firestone always dependable since 1900. When it comes to accessing your home's value, what you don't know might be the only thing standing in your way. I don't understand. Exactly. Huh? An HEI from Splatero will give you a lump sum of cash upfront in exchange for a share of your home's future value. An HEI? What's the difference between that and a HEI? Everything that matters. A HEI is alone with variable interest rates that often have DTI requirements and monthly payments. With a Splatero HEI, there is no DTI requirement and most importantly, no monthly payments. Oh, I like that one. The no payments one.
Of course, you're smart. And check this out. A HEI has strict income and credit requirements. A Splatero HEI requires only a 500 minimum credit score and no income requirement. So much better. It seems like the only reason to confuse them is that they both start with H. Just remember Splatero. HEI means Splatero. Visit spltitiro.com today and access your home's equity. No monthly payments, just cash in hand. Splatero. This is Becca and Tanya from Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya Rad. Becca, can I ask you a question? California resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California finance law license in MLS number 1353190. Clarna balance account required to be eligible for cashback points, limitations, terms and conditions apply. I did deduce exactly what happened. On one of the windows, there was definitely a dog paw smear. Come up to the window. Some other dog. That's the mystery. It was definitely a dog paw that punched through the screen. I could tell that. Oh boy. Now we need to know the dog and whose dog was it? That's a good thing. Did your daughter bring some dogs? No. I know. Who else had dogs there? No. There's family dogs. You're so cute. She wants to get to the bottom of this right now. That's what I was like last night. Yes.
And then the other screen, I thought it kind of got graffiti, but I absolutely know it got escorted with like a spray nozzle because it was kind of squiggly lines in it. It was so. And I believe, I believe there was probably a bee on there and somebody said, oh, let's get it. And it punctured holes because of the force. Boy, that's a pretty strong force for the dog. And I think that's a lot of evidence. And I could tell it got sprayed because there was a little rust on the side. Oh boy. You really have bee. You don't have any suspects, Ken? A previous lake dwellers like who? Well, it's family. No. Okay. Well, no, wait. I think I'm on the other side. On the other side. No, I don't. So they bring a dog a damn dog and then they're, oh, the bee. And then they don't. Did they report? No, they should report.
No, you leave. You leave. And then just I don't know. Hope that nobody puts it. So now are those screens now replaced? Or those are on deck? Oh, those are fixed. Oh, nice. Again. Okay. And because I'm a guy and I accomplished something, I have to mention it every time. Yeah. Yeah. Trish, look at that. Well, look how clean that is. It even looks better from the outside. What we're driving by. We've done about that. Why did they point out their handiwork somewhere? Yeah. She said, yeah, I did all your laundry this morning before you even caught up. It's like, okay, I get it. Oh, yeah. Are we now going to point out all the things we do for each other? Well, you know how guys are. You know, a couple of something. He does. He does. But what about my dinner that I made? What about the dinner? Yeah. What's that good? Yes. It was so good. It was so good. So I think they should call you Ken Hopkins screen detective. Screen detective? Yeah.
I think that would be good because I, I, I go down and rabbit hole with the screen. You can fix it. But while you're fixing it, you're thinking, what happened to this port? Every screen has a story. All it does. And if there was some kind of a crime committed, and they could bring you in as their screen witness. They could. Yeah. Yeah. I have two more screens to fix. Oh boy. One is a big slider. It's a big boy. It's like Dave's. Oh, yeah. I was a big boy. Where did that come from? Well, it's up there. It's the upstairs one. And what happened, Molly is, you know, where the little candle is, where you, you put your two fingers and then it never comes out right. And then she just send up sticking your hand through the screen. That's like, there's big. There's big. And I don't blame anybody on that. It's in the upstairs bedroom. So how's that logistically working? When the kids bring him down on the upstairs deck.
How do you get up there? Well, I just roll around. There is. Yeah. So the upstairs? How high up is it? Well, it's an outside ground. But it's all paved. They have a little trail. And I said that was great for me, but it is great for everybody. Is it? It is. You knew it's great for me. I'm my screen sitting there. I'm leaving it on display. Right. Right near the, I don't really need the AC anymore, but I can't get it out of myself. So it's sitting ready to be put back up. Yeah. We took out, we don't have AC, but we have like these swamp coolers. But they're, they go in the window like a unit. And they're, they're pretty wonderful. Yeah. And I took one out yesterday. And that's when I said that screen has a hole in it. Oh, that's not stand. Yeah, I, uh, yeah, I, I came in a little hot, but. Uh-huh. No, do you, when you go to people's houses,
are you drive around or just, do you see that do you notice screens all the time now? Not really. No, not really. I'm more of an apprentice on the screen. But you don't notice like, well, what I could do to that screen. Oh my god. You know, I could now. Now that you mention it, it is so nice to have a brand new screen. Wanna welcome everybody back to screen talk. Screen talk. Screen talk. Like a home improvement type segment. Michelle says, uh, Ken's got a new show, CSI screen. CSI screen. Yeah. Crime scene and investigation screen. Who did that? Mr. Ed said the same thing I did. Ken Hopkins screen detective. Yes. Yes, we think the same way Mr. Ed. Oh, yeah. Uh, oh, maybe Ken can help Dave with his life his little free like library. Did you hear what happened to the free library? Your vehicle doesn't just get you from here to there. It's a bridge to the people and places that matter most.

California resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California finance law license. In MLS number 1353190, Clarna balance account required to be eligible for cashback points, limitations, terms, and conditions apply. Oh, the one you build? Yes. Yes. What, no, I have not heard. Well, it came crashing down. Oh, was it during that storm? No. It was too heavy. There's too many books. It's a very active, I mean, I don't know the data on all of these home library things that people have. But those are cool. But this one had a lot of activity. Books going in, books going out, a lot of activity on the door.
And then when it finally collapsed, I took the remains as sadly and lifted the little house and it was heavy. Yes. I don't think it was made for so much work. So this weekend, I think you're going back out of it. Well, I'm going to go back out. I get a we get a build a more stable top. Have any advice? I have a frame. I'm not, I haven't done the instant library. Okay. But in general when you're building, is there rules of thumb that you could maybe talk to? Yeah. Well, and I, and I, as much as Ken has asked about this, he's probably 15, 20 times in the last week or so. Yeah. He says, wouldn't the, wouldn't the little library look better with a screen door on it? I said, no, we know there's no need for that. Not all things have to have a screen. They can appear in and look at the titles.
He's really pushing the screen. Yeah. He's really pushing the screen going on that. But in and amongst the whole library weekend, I hope your, your break was good. We had our, Anise and half you and there were little girls from Boise came up. Charlotte. Charlotte and Clara. Clara. They are four and two. Oh boy. Oh man. The most active little girls and my nephew break, their dad, he is, he's out number three to one in his house. The females, they, they do run it. He, he brought his boat up, which was, Oh, it was fun. Which was the old, he inherited and bought the old family boat. And I said, every Hopkins from me up, remember that boat. So it was so cool to see that. He's, he takes it right on the long like the right.
Where you guys are? Just launched it right there. He put a new motor in it. He brought it from Boise. He brought it from, he's, right now. Here's what he does. He packs up the truck and, and the boat left early. Uh-huh. And Ben met the girls, because the girls outnumber him. Right. The girls flew. Oh, they flew. Oh, he drives the boat. He said, did you get it? The airport, he goes, yeah, I got there 10 minutes before they landed. That's perfect. It's just efficient in so, and did they fly home too? They flew home. He took them out to the airport. So the boat stays? Two stay morning. No, he packed up the boat and he drove down. Oh, the girl flew, the girls flew both ways and he drove both ways. Exactly. Hold is the boat. The boat was born in 1966. Wow. That's so cool. My grandfather bought it and it was a big deal. It's like a aluminum hole. How many people sit in it?
Six. That was like a fishing boat kind of thing. No, it doesn't need a screen. No screen. No screen. I don't see the speed boat. No, it's just a recreational. We too, then we all learned how to ski. We were forced to learn how to ski back in my day. Then you pulled the hammy. Yeah. That was bad. That was later on. That was discussed over the weekend. Was it? Because when you pulled the hammy? Well, Blake, my nephew, he was the one driving the boat when I pulled the hammy. And my wife was in the boat as well. I think my son was there. And he refused to help me out of the water. He basically said, the ski was planned on top of the water and you were under the water. You held on too long. So that I guess for that's your penalty. He sees hide it right there. So yeah, he's strong.
How old is he? He is 40. He is the age of our marriage. Did you hear that, Molly? Yeah. So he's 40. So he was 20. He was 20 months old at all. He was like 20. Like he was, how long did the hammy happen 20 years ago? I'd said yeah, probably 20, maybe 15. It was, yeah, I was walking barely. Yeah, I did learn something about a pulled hammy. You have to, you have to wrap it and wrap it really tight. Yeah. And there's nothing they can do. It's just time is the only thing that fixes it. Yeah, time, time heals. It's the same. What's the one in the front? Your quad? That I did that. And once you do it once, oh my god, and it hurts. And it was from, you know, playing sports and you jump, like you run fast out of the the batter box. And once it pings, it's like, it's a, well, and I don't want to be a, you know, I don't want to predict this
because it's kind of putting ill will out there. But the opening week of the NFL season, a lot of pulled hammies. Because a lot of these guys aren't playing full speed. And then all of a sudden they get out there and out and then they're screwed because again, a time is the only thing that helps. And if they try to come back too fast, you can really wreck it. And so be careful out there. A lot of injuries in the football world. Be careful with those hammies. Yeah. Stretch. Stretch. Stretch is what it is. So when he realized you were severely injured with your hamstring pulled, did he feel bad for it? It is still say you just hung on too long at your fault. He did repeat that phrase. Yeah. And I said, I know I hung on too long. But, you know, what's done is done. What now I have a full-time mission. Now, it's right around. Now, yes. Now I am. Now I'm here. So we just had a ton of fun out there. The one that was off and on, and then we had that gigantic storm.
Yes. In rain coming down and white. And that's when your library fell apart, right? Dave, they're in the big storm. Yes. The storm took out. The storm didn't. Yeah, I mean, it wiped out houses too. I mean, even the most well-built, I saw a brick house go down. So I mean, he didn't get to happen. Look at see that. Got to fix that. The one thing I loved is Little Charlotte's Four. She's almost five. And every night she wanted to have a glow party, which was we went down to the main level, turned on some music at start, and both Blake and I had little lasers. And she had this little laser thing. And so, you know, on the roof right above us, we just had a glow party in laser. And I got to be a charge of the music. Nice. Yeah, DJ can return. Because that was a former DJ. Since both of the Blake and Steph,
they both graduated in the 90s. So I was like, oh, you know that music. Oh, white, outcast, and black eyed peas. And every one of them. All those radays. It was all, how old were you? I was at seventh grade. And then I had to bring up a couple of the venga boys, the venga boys. Oh, I'm blue, Bob, I, D, Bob, I, they just thought this is, this is middle school coming. Yeah. So, so we had the glow party over there. That's fine. Oh, my God. That's what they play when the Indian score. They play the Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, and I have to put that in there. And they're pretty, you know, cheers for a little bit. You guys have the breakfast boys or something. No, mom, mom, mom, there was one that was included. You had the breakfast boys in Molly. Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh. Somebody made a song for us. They did. That was awesome. Don't you think we should bring Karnie man back? The fair and I. Oh, Karnie, Karnie, Karnie, Karnie, Karnie.
Karnie man. Oh, no, Karnie man. Karnie man. Cric up that ride, Mr. Karnie man. It's a longer song too. Yeah. Didn't you have an edited version? I thought we did an edited version. I had two versions. Very good memories. Oh, somewhere. I remember one per day a long time ago. I did. We were always talking about the behind the music. Where half hour it's great. And then at 40 something terrible. And I did a behind the music to Karnie man. I don't know. It was like, I taped one of them where there was a guy named Dave in the band. I kept Karnie man. And then Dave went dark on us. I mean, it was a weird thing. It's like that. You know, all that audio still exists somewhere, but we can't get it. No. No, we can't get it. They changed the password. Yeah. But just think of it as as Saturday's is for us.
And for all of the listeners and everything. Just think how good they feel though. I mean, they got to feel great, right? They got it. Yeah. They have to feel good just keeping it from us. Our whole lives work. I still, I tried to get in. I tried to break in a couple of weeks ago on the password. And the evil. Your vehicle doesn't just get you from here to there. Did you try the idiot series? Because there's one of the passwords. It's a capital I. Oh, and then it, but then you'd be different numbers and you got to capitalize and then
acceleration marks and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I think the numbers are 666. But I don't know. I don't know. It's passwords are crazy. And who? And who? That is that we do have our CDs though. Yeah. That got the one. I think it's on one of the. Is it? OK. Yeah, let's find it. You know, when we were moving, getting all our stuff organized, I found a couple of cassettes that were unopened of our original one. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I wonder if it's still played. Oh, I'm sure it does. Yeah, I have them as collector items. I have. I have the all of the CDs and all of the cassettes with the seal. Like it's just for just sort of, you know, I'm trying to plan this to never open that. Yeah. Put it in the museum. I think we have upstairs. I think somebody I have a bag of CDs that somebody gave us of our old team. Maybe it was our friend Jeff. Somebody gave us another CD. It's just a matter of getting it into our systems so we can play.
Yeah. Yeah. I've got a little tiny stack of our very first sticker, the rectangle. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I worked with the AM and FM and all the different colors. I was. A lot of color skis. Yeah, a lot of colors. It was one year. So you guys had your two in Dave Kendenstay and Dave and Confused. Then we did the 2000, which is the three of us. Then in 2001, Tosh and I did a boot like they didn't want to do the under the. Yeah. So we just did them ourselves and I don't have that. That was like the thong song. I have that. Oh, you do. I have that somewhere. I need to do it. And the fall is when I, you know, people always say, oh, spring cleaning blah, blah, blah. For me, it's fall cleaning. That's when I do all of the really deep dive. Oh, yeah. So I've been, you know, into a situation the other day where I'm cleaning stuff that hasn't been done for a while. Well, I will go down in the basement at some point and start to organize that.
But that's where a lot of that. Our old stuff is for you know, for the first, I'd say almost 10 years when I came back, came back in 92. But that's when we would have the show on a cassette. And I have boxes and bought years and I have them labeled by years. And it's all cassette. And then I'll write on it like, oh, this was, you know, free donut Friday. And so I would put, you know, I'd label it if we had a special guest on. When we had Glenda, the psychic member, the one of the many psychics that we had on the show. Is that a singing psychic? No, she was a different sick. She was. I think you're going to have real good day. Oh, yeah. What was the singing psychics name? Oh, somebody will remember. And I think you're a real nice guy. And it was all, it was, she'd play it from a little jukebox and we like an Elvis song. Dooms, dooms, dooms, dooms. And you're going to have a real good summer.
You are. I can feel. And I can see. I can see. You're a real great guy. There may be a new car in your features. You're a real good guy. Yeah, there was the singing psychic. She was from Dallas. And and she claimed. She's probably passed down. It's been years and years. But she claimed that she got her special psychic powers when she got hit by a semi-truck. Remember I was a real story. And we had no knowledge. All the radio people just said, and you got to get the squirrel on this thing. You know, she's the singing psychic and she does all this stuff. So I didn't know exactly what we were getting into. And then when she starts telling those stories, it was like, oh my god. Ha, ha. It was very, very entertaining. Well, I don't know what to say. She ran away. I had an accident with a semi-truck and then I started seeing visions. And I can see that you're a real nice guy. Yeah, yeah. I think most of her sentences started with,
I can see. Uh-huh. Yeah. And then do you remember the sex therapist that we have had on? I do. Laura Korn was her name. Oh, Laura Korn. And she had, she had a very successful career writing books about relationships. And all the things you're supposed to do to and with your person. Oh. Yeah, well, I'm him. That's, if it's all in the book, I don't have the book. I don't know how to spell psychic. Do it. Say. C. S. He has an eye. Oh, there we go. C. A. Got it now. It. I don't know why I couldn't. Let's see. Uh, let's see. No, spoke in accurately. Bonkers. Hang on a second. There was Lanny. No, Angela. No. Singing psychic. Oh my gosh. This would have been from years ago. No. This was like in the 90s. I would say mid 90s, maybe. Francis from Bakersfield.
Was it Francis? Francis. She was involved in an accident. Is it Francis? Okay. Francis Bakersville. It's her name. Okay, but she's from Texas. She's from Texas. Yes, that's her. And she has to wait in 2009. Oh. When she had an incident with an 18-wheel lumber truck at back into her car while she was waiting outside a beauty parlor, the lumber crashed through the car almost killed her. But it also caused her to have an out of body experience. And after that experience, she said she had psychic abilities. That's it. But being a country and Western fan, she would see her predictions. Oh, yes. So that was why that is awesome. That's on the internet. It's true. Francis Baker. Francis Baker. Baker. Bakerville is her name. Okay. And yeah, she's cute. She's very cute. I could see a real mask. I can't get you. Like a peedie. Don't lie. That's pretty good. Do do do do do do do do do do do do.
Do do do do. No. Music and it would be like, we had talked to her on the phone and then you could tell often the distance was the music and then she would say it was just right. Yeah. It was so primitive. It wasn't always synched up. It was right. It was like, okay. It's fine. Oh, those were days. I tell you. Yeah. A lot of good days. I had to find that. The singing and then I remember I had like a 40 and slip at the end. I said, oh, well, you've been great. And once again, this is the sinking psychic. I mean, singing psychic. I do. I know that. That's how it was just kind of a disaster. Sometimes the worst things are the best things. They turn out to be the good one. Oh, Laurie, listen to number 16. Fried on it. She won a free donut Friday one time. Hey. We used to do that every Friday. We would do after the show. We finished the show. We were tired. Fridays are hard. Even back then finish the show. Then we go pick up the dough.
And then we'd make the deliveries to all the different businesses. And some of they'd be all over the place. We'd get back to the station around 1230. And we're just we're just and can out of the goodness of his heart. He was usually driving the van. And I was usually falling asleep. Yeah. I had had enough. And once in a while we'd have like a promo person with us or something. But sometimes it was out in court line. We'd be back at one fifth. Yeah. And how many donuts would you eat? And then how soon would that be a bad idea? Well, fair question. We would always have some. And who was the donut? Who made the donut? They were they were heavy donuts. Wasn't the donut parade? It was the donut kettle. The donut kettle. That's right. You know how heavy a kettle. Yes. And there'd be times when if we had a longer drive and the donuts would be stacked, the boxes would be sagging. And then when we would take them into the businesses, you know, and it was quite a moment for them.
Like, oh, we've won donuts and oh, David Ketter here. This is so great. And they'd come out. Well, the bottom of the box was had like the oil steam. You know, it's so through. It's so through. You were. You were heavier donuts. Yeah. They were heavier. Yeah. Like the cake ones that oh, I can I can. One of them that it was Apple Fritter. They used that we've they've used. They used it. It was down in Pullman. They used it as a a discus in the truck and field event. Right. There were masks. Those things could fly. Anyhow. Yeah, that was a different time. People had to fax in their request. That's how that's how long the boat was. You would fax in your on business letterhead. And they would come in. And they were, you know, Joe's auto body shop or whatever. We have seven of us here. We want donuts for free. And we pick winners. We pick one and go out there. We try to pick it, you know,
didn't we do. Did we do one business or a couple? I can't. We did. Where are times when we did three or four? I mean, there was there was always more than one. We try to look at the addresses and make it. Yeah, this is all before map quest, too. So we're just, we're just going on. That's right. We're just like, okay, well, we think it's out here. Valley somewhere. I know. Clarkson, we're not going down there. What's wrong with you people? There were a couple of Christmas wish deliveries that were very early in the morning and inquestionable areas where they think we have the address. And we think it's between this street and this street. And then we're going to go live on the air. And the dogs are barking and all this craziness is happening. And you're hoping to God. It's the right address. Otherwise you make it shot. It always started like we'd finished the letter. And, you know, so and so we really, you know, help out and everything. Okay, now we have, you know, we had different people that were the, one time, Leslie Lois are elf one year. Yeah. And so and Leslie is standing by and you're ready to approach the door.
Yeah, I'm right here at the door. I'm ready to knock in here. It always be just like this. Be David's done for Kate. What are we doing? How about what, what, let me get the dogs here. Okay, so we at the hour away, we, I think we woke them up. Yeah, something new is home. Everybody was see me. Mommy, get your dad. Every one of them we like that. Yeah, yeah. Scooter. No. They would be very quiet. Very, you wouldn't hear a sound. Oh, yeah. And whispering and as soon as the dog, as soon as the knock on the door, you knew exactly how many dogs were in the house. You did. Then there's a gang of people on your porch. And then there's the person who's on the phone. Because I know because I didn't do it. And I see my point and you start you back up away and you sort of turn away. So it's not so loud. Oh, yeah, I see lights coming on now. Oh, the dog is so cute. And this is so cute.
Is that now is your dog, guys? He's fine. What can I do for you? The breakfast boys and I have them on the phone. And then he was like, have the phone off and then try to save yourself from the dog. Oh, look at those cute jammies that you're not wearing. Yeah. But everything turned out fine, I think. No, yeah. They took that too. They, I guess they wanted that too. I know. Well, we don't know why. Lori wrote a poem in one her free. Oh, we might have maybe that's what it wasn't a poem. Do we ask for Paul? It's kind of a reason why so people would get all creative. Yeah, I think if someone did write a poem, that's probably why she won. It's probably, oh, look at the, they put some work into this entry. What they did. Well, we had the worst joke Wednesday. That was fun. Have that in there. Freedom Friday. Ask anything Thursday. Remember that? Oh, yeah. People would ask all kind, we live phones. We just go to the phone.
We had no phone screen. Other people just call in and they would ask all kinds of questions. Right. You would have hated it. They would ask all about your marriages and stuff. What? You mean anything I haven't settled ready? I know. Well, the first call we went to, the guy said, why don't you guys have a phone screener? Then we had to go into that. And then you said the effort to hang out. Yeah. Mm-hmm. We should do that again. We should do the take phone calls. Why don't we do that? I don't know. I don't know. I think we should do that instead of the envelope of English. I think we should just open up the phone lines and have people ask us whatever they want. Well, if we don't want to answer, we just hang up. Duh. Just, oh, we had a time. And then we just hang up. How many marriages I, oh, I'm sorry, Kim. We have lost you. That's too bad. We were like in junior high. If we don't, we just say, duh. Yeah. Why? Who, what a adult does that? Duh.
What? Duh. No duh. I hang out with a lot of kids. That's why. A lot of kids, yeah. Oh, on Facebook fight. Yeah, we used to do that too. Oh, that's right. Well, we actually do know a few of those here. We did do those my first time at the end of your Facebook fight. Yeah. Quinn, I think, had to be part of the Facebook fights. That's right. That's right. Well, let's do this. We'll do a break here. And then we'll, we'll extend the hot topics. And then if you, and if you want, we could we just say, all right, people can call in. We can just answer phones. Or you could, you could ask the other text. Oh, that's a better way. Why don't we think about that? A little question time. Yeah. If we don't like the question, we just won't read it. Duh. Yeah. Duh. School day. I'm scroll. All right, we, we'll be back, we'll be back after this break. This is the David Mollie show from the New America studio.
