Oh, how are you kidding me? Crazy. Cornerbacks day on the podium. Coach Fletcher, RJ Johnson, Cree Thomas, Coach Fletcher, overall in his room. It's a new room that we have. Obviously mentioned RJ and McCarrie returning, but overall the experience is coming from Justin Eaglin. Sounds like he's really settled in. He made some plays today. Obviously, I mean, tons of praise for Cree Thomas. He said he's got a point to prove. In his mind, he was refused. He was overlooked and he has had a quote, insane amount of turnovers through eight days of spring ball. Yeah. Cree Thomas CB one. A lot of people out there already do that.

2:04A lot of people out there already knew that and good for them because obviously you watched the videos. You watch well off. You watch our guide, Darius. Cree has been balling. He had a pick yesterday in practice in a team session. But today, his demeanor, his confidence, the way Coach Fletcher talked about him. I think Cree Thomas as a potential would be a future star for this program. Like, let's not forget he was at Notre Dame last year. Right. Former four star recruit played behind two elite cornerbacks at Notre Dame. One is going to be maybe the first cornerback taken in the 2027 NFL. He's a definite first round. First round. So, and he talked about that. Like, he said that he worked with those guys. Like, he prepared with those guys like he was starting. And he came obviously to use Fletcher's words here with a point to prove. He knows he belongs out there on the field. And if he keeps this level of play up, he will be out there on the field a lot. On this field, in particular, a lot this fall, making a lot of plays. No doubt. Coach Fletcher also spoke a lot about this coaching staff.

3:06Mentioned the opportunity that Coach Prime brought to him to be the cornerbacks coach here. So, that came around Thanksgiving. I mean, Coach Prime was not playing when he said that the last supper was going. He knew what was going on, obviously. Yeah, I mean, he also said that I'm peeped praise on Chris Marv as well. So, he was excellent, very detailed, very passionate, loves collaborating. He essentially, Coach Fletcher said they have three head coaches on the staff. Coach Marion, Coach Marv, and of course, Coach Prime. And now with him in the fold as well, it's easy to see why Coach Prime loves this staff so much and why it's his favorite so far at Colorado. For sure. And I don't even think that that was anything particularly that he was asked about. He was more so, like, brought up on his own accord talking about how he felt like they have three head coaches on the staff. Which is kind of what Coach Prime was said previously. When he talked about, he felt this was the best staff that he has assembled since he's been here at Colorado. And that kind of detail-oriented style of Chris Marv, I think, is going to pay really big

4:07dividends for this defense. It has to improve drastically, obviously, defending the run, getting better in the secondary as well. But I'd love to hear that. Even just in England, getting some love from Coach Fletcher, saying, just in the start, and they become a lot more vocal, he's starting to feel himself. And we're all excited about it. This is obviously somebody who started 10-plus games last year, a JMU, a playoff team. Mind you, had a ton of on-ball production. I believe nine PVEUs, five interceptions. But those two guys, in addition to RJ, maybe a fourth corner who you might have to depend on. Sure. But those guys continue to progress and develop the way it seems like they are throughout spring. I think this cornbacker has the potential to really be strong and like really be a weekly kind of turnover machine, potentially, if they get the opportunity. For sure, Cree Thomas, a very face driven individual, Coach Fletcher mentioned that. Had the TYG on his wrist, you could see that. But he said on coming to Colorado, I want to be a part of the culture shift. Go win some games here. Also said he's playing, he knows he can play. And he's playing with a lot of confidence right now. Obviously the turnovers say that enough on their own.

6:10At that position is so massive. Yeah, I would rank it quarterback. Cornerback in terms of the positions that you need confidence. Yes. You know what I'm saying? He obviously has it. And he has it without having done it out on the field the time. Which I think is even more impressive because like you said, like he said, he knows he's got it. Yeah, he's hungry. And also too, the word press man was brought up a handful of times by RJ, by Cree, by Coach Fletcher. And that's something that Cree said he is very comfortable with. He thrives and press man like he expects that. And RJ said, this is part of the reason why you come to Colorado. That's part of the expectation. When you sign up to play for Coach Brown, the greatest ever-do other than that position. So I know there was some talk this off season after Marv was hired as DC that there might be a little bit more zone coverage. I think there will be a little bit more zone coverage. But the press man isn't going away entirely. Because I think it fits the skill set of at least a couple of these guys. I mean, the man right up there, Coach Prime. That's one of the reasons why you're going to play press man. It's just what he wants to do. And clearly they're going to mix some things up on defense.

7:12But the core attributes of the defense are still going to remain in that regard as well. We talked about those similarities between this defense and Coach Livingston's defense. A lot of talk on the offense actually today as well. A lot of praise for this receiving core. I mean, both RJ and Cree said they're going to give teams problems. Coach Fletcher said that Ernest Campbell is one of the fastest players in the country. It's not the fastest player in the country. I think it was Cree also talking about the pace of the go-go and how that's affecting them as well. So it's very much an entirely new offense here. And even the defenders, when they come on the podium, we can't help but ask about it. And they've offered some great insight. I mean, it's an elite challenge. Every single practice, every single rep. Against these talented receivers, these speedy receivers, these guys who are elite route runners, crafty route runners. And as the saying goes, Iron Shipe and Zion. And every single practice, like I said, every single rep. These guys are getting elite reps against really talented players and just going to make everybody better. Come week one. No doubt.
