0:00Now, it is time to turn our attentions to sporting matters and Claire got a bit of silver where it's not the main one that they want, but they won the division 1B title in the national Hearing League after fending off a bit of a fight back from Dublin in the second half of their 1B final, the curtain raiser at the 2US Gala grounds on Sunday. That's here from Brian Lohan speaking after that 3 point victory. Okay, so we're in good shape, Brian Lohan says. Derek Lynch, would you concur? Six wins, a bit of silver in the back pocket, as I said, not the main one they want. And seems at the face of it to set them in good stead for that monster open against Waterford. Would you be thinking along similar lines?

1:02Interesting choice of words, I think everybody is just hoping and praying and lighting candles in every church up and down the county. Okay, Mark Rogers, Tony Kelly, Sheridan, how are you, how are you? Are you okay this morning because I think that's what everybody is concerned about, which you know, I suppose in a way that that speaks volumes of maybe how much we can read into this 1B final. It did have a little bit of a challenge game. You feel about it at times, particularly in the first half. No, Claire, we're really good. Our inside three were phenomenal. Like Rogers, O'Donnell and me and we're an absolute fire. Sheridan, I mean, this in the most loving way possible is a freak because to come back to come back after playing 16 minutes in cushioned all and to have won one scored inside 15 minutes of the game was just nobody else but Shane could do that. The shameless Coleman of Claire Hurling. Yeah, he's got on mighty. I bet you know, hardly, hardly, hardly plays in the congestion, but he's, he's, he's his Georgie best mix, would you say of your disorder and you know, he was just outstanding. His touch was on brilliant. The goal was fantastic.

2:04So that's a real bonus. Mark Rogers picked us from gorgeous points. Shane, me and stock his goal really well. So that was a real, real positive. Our omit fields, we struggled at times in the second half, don't let a lot of space. I think there will be lots of questions about the two goals we can see. I think the black card was a card that was just simply not a black card challenge. And it was a crazy decision from Tom's, well, she had a good game outside of that. I felt, but the two goals that Claire can see, they were very similar in that they were kind of rocks between the 13 and 21 meter line. And we were probably guilty of too many defenders getting sucked into that and not watching her break went. And ultimately the two goals were stuck because of that. So I think that's something that they've been watching from a defensive perspective. Probably a little bit too much to concede won't get away with that in the most championship. But you know, it was all about getting more minutes into the team, particularly the trade lands of France. As I said, the injuries will be the biggest thing, you know, Rory Hayes was good at corner back, Connor lean another injury concern there as well. And like ever could again, to say if he pulled off there with 10 or 12 minutes to go, probably kept Claire in that game, you'd wonder if, you know, if he'd have been struck low along

3:07the ground, like or Donald's finish, could it have been a different scenario? So yeah, lots of positives, Claire played really well. They're unbeaten, so far in the league. The only last once this year in total, that was in the Monster Harding League down in Mallow that night. So that's a really good line of form and that's all you have coming in. But there's no doubt that, you know, the intensity is going up now. Waterford in less than two weeks time. The place across the road here would be jammed to the rafters and everything will pick up. But Claire have the strongest line of form possible, which is a real bonus. Yeah. And I guess the best way possible to bounce back from 2025, you know, disappointment in the league, obviously getting relegated to Mumbi and then obviously early exit from Monster Championship, which given the changes of the forum at the round-up format, they're not used to that. They usually tend to get out. So this is the best response possible to the previous year. Absolutely. And we have a very good record in the Monster Championship. And you know, if we're sitting here in just over two weeks time on the Monday, and if things don't go, Claire's way, I suppose we have to remember that that has probably been

4:08par for the course. The last couple of years, Claire, I don't want to say made a habit of, but those are track record of losing round one and then pulling something out of your, your hindquarters in the next round to, to ultimately save your season. You know, will we ever forget losing the first round and then going down and beaten Carc and Parky Queen? And, you know, look what that kicked off. So it would be fantastic to win a course award and then you've let me come and do a week after who would be having, they'll have played Carc and we'll have had the break. So it's fallen lovely. I think a reference is before Claire's time table in the Monster Championship is really good. You know, you have your home game, then you have a break, then you have another home again, game against Limerick, you have another break and you go out to play a tip and then you finish off with Carc. So it's a nice little run. If you can keep the head of steam going, I think the initial word is that the injuries aren't too bad. I think Tony just wasn't risked out of a precautionary thing. I think Goddard was something similar at halftime. He'd enough done probably in the first half to say, right, let's get you ready for the 19th. And I think Mark Rogers by his own admission with the TG Caron, if you afterwards, was kind of saying he wasn't too bad either.

5:08So I said, then we're up to cotton wool now and sent up to the place to wear the sweater. There have been a week and every kind of a thing you can do to help them. And as I say, all guns blazing in for the 19th. OK. So a good day at the Alps for Claire and a good form and hopefully a good tear that injuries front not too bad.
