This is Corey, keeping Anchorage in the know. You're listening to Anchorage News today. Brandon Pilly, the Anchorage Nose Tackle, just signed a one-year deal worth $2 million to stay with the Super Bowl Champion, Seattle Seahawks. For the 2026 season, the Diamond High School grad inked the contract on Thursday, returning to the team he helped win it all with. Earlier this month, Pilly rejoined Seattle after a short stint elsewhere, locking in his spot on the roster that beat the New England Patriots in the E. Big Game. Fans back home in Alaska are thrilled, as Pilly's story highlights local talent making it big in the NFL. Last season, he started on the Seahawks practice squad and saw some action and substitute roles building his experience. Before that, the Anchorage native spent 2023 and 2024 with the Miami Dolphins. Seattle claimed him off-wavers, giving him the chance to contribute to their championship run. With this deal, Pilly sets up for a full season ahead, and eyes are on how the Big Man from Alaska will perform on a stacked defensive line.
