1:13It is a Monday. We are ready to roll. We are in to March. I'm thrilled about that. I've told you numerous times Rick and good morning to you. I hate February. Hello March. Hello. Yeah, February's got no feel for you. You don't love it. I don't love it. I'll tell you when you will love it, 65 or sooner. Then you'll love it. I'm going to love that. Oh, I can't wait for the 65. You know, I drove down to Lancaster this week and watched some collegiate baseball and it might look steady, which is wonderful, by the way. And I was on the road and I saw a bumper stick and I was like, what does that say? I got right up behind it. 65 or sooner. No, it didn't. It's sweeping the Northeast. Yes. No, it didn't say it. There's no way it said it. What was it like? It was in a piece of tape with. No. It was a shock. It said 65. It had like the giants logo on the side and like a big 65 and then I was like, what an end soon. I was like, oh, it wasn't A and D. It was an ampersand. Okay. Five. And sooner.

2:13That's nice. Yeah. See, now mine was 65 or sooner. Or 65 and sooner. No, it's going to be a 65 is a multiple 65 and sooner. Listen, I don't I don't know that wasn't my phrase. Theology. I was 65 or sooner. Right. Well, because 65 and sooner would mean you're going to win in 68 Super 65 and you're going to win one. Liberty. Yeah. Right. Listen, I don't want to go that far. I'm just going to say 65, 64, 63, 62, 61. One of those doesn't at least one of those coming home. I did also have a moment where one of the dads on the team comes out and goes, yeah, you know, I hate. I was like, who do you hate? I hate the Eagles. Every time I go to Philadelphia, I just want to yell at all them. I go, hmm, interesting. You say that. Have you heard the your mother's stories? No. Tell me that your mother's story and that told me that that's a great story. Good for you. These like, don't let them bully us. Don't let them bully us. I said, don't worry. Don't worry. I got you. You are your mother. Yeah. You are the, you are the face of the of the crazy is what you are. You did to me on the bench this weekend, didn't you?

3:15I love it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's a little bit damaged. Yeah. It's a long weekend. It's fine though. Back. Ready? How do we do? Yeah. We lost the semi finals. Oh, right. You made the semi finals. That's it. No. That's a something. No, that's not that. If I were to told you going in, you're going to lose in the semi finals. You'd say no. Oh, it's a disappointing. Really? Yeah. Close semi final loss. Three two. All right. All right. Yeah. I got down early though. We had bad start. Yeah. Bad. Yeah. I was sad that the season's over. Like, finality to the season's over. This is it. Oh, okay. And now we switch over to the baseball. Okay. Now we go to... Now we... This is how crazy travel hockey is. I don't know if it's the same with you in baseball. We go from the regular season to now. Tuesday is triods for next season. Oh, no. Oh. Actually, I think they... It can't be that quick, can it? I'm trying to think, when do they do the triods? No, I don't think it's that. That's not that early. Right.

4:16Yeah. All right. All right. But then I had Jersey Mike's. It made me feel better. You know what? I had Jersey Mike's too this weekend. I doubt that you had as many subs as I did. You're probably right. I got one on the turkey. That's it. Nice. Yeah. The regular, not the giant. Because the giant feels gluttonous. Probably. So how many... How many giants did you have? I had two giants. I had a regular. Yeah. Two... Yeah. Two giants probably feeds a family. I'll probably, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't feel great about it. You're your own family. Right. But I felt like I needed the steak and cheese. And then I needed the Italian. And then I had a regular tuna just because I feel... No, not in one sitting. There's no way you had three sandwiches in one sitting. I had the steak and cheese and the tuna in one sitting. Oh. And then I came back for the Italian. What was the bill? Uh, over a hundred bucks.

5:17For your family? Yeah. Just like a hundred and twenty bucks. Oh my god. That's like two days a parking. That's like two days a parking. Yeah. That right. I may have to go in. I may have to park it. You have to take it alone. I was a little surprised when I saw the bill. A lot of steak and cheese is though. Yeah. Yeah. I got you. So we got a lot to do today. We got a lot of NFL digging into. Stories are flying. I was sitting there watching, you know, college baseball. And everything I saw was like, let me send this to them. And this to them. And this to them. So we got a lot of that to do. And then the Nix yesterday. Well, Friday was great. But kind of expected. Yesterday was great. And I don't think expected. So if you're a Nix fan, you have to be really feeling great about what you saw this weekend. But again, I'm thrilled about it. It's great. I wasn't going to freak out if they lost that game yesterday. I'm not going to go Gaga over the win yesterday. It's, it's terrific. But this is going to be made and determined when you get to the postseason. Right. I don't think you can go crazy either way.

6:18I said that. I'm not doing that anymore. Right. I mean, well, we've heard you do that in the past. And then you go crazy. So it's, I mean, this is definitely a step in the right direction. No, but, but you know, give me a little credit because I didn't do it after the Cleveland game. And I'm not doing it after this game. The Detroit game was the final straw. And I think I'm not going to do it the rest of the regular season. I know, but that was, I mean, that's. It beat the life out of you. That game. Yes. So now again, I don't know if this is like you've really, you've now taken this, you know, the, the step to turn over a new leaf or you're just dead. Like they've just beat the life out of you. You can't anyway, but that matter. You didn't. So maturity. Good. Growth. Let's go in that direction. Last. Yesterday, outside of the Jersey Mike's, which put a smile on my face, it was nice to see the mix defensively. Yes. Play the way that they did. Yes. And specifically, Carlin, any towns played terrific yesterday, defense. That's correct. Obviously. And I think what happens is that's why we get so annoyed and frustrated because that is there. And for all the times you see it, you're like, oh, there it is. And you're excited. And then you don't see it.

7:19And it gets you angry. See that, that to me, because we know what he can be. You know, if he just was a mediocre player, you wouldn't get yourself that insane. But because he has that in him and he gives you that sometimes, and he gives the opposite of that other times is to me why he's so frustrating. Well, yeah, I mean, if he, if he didn't think, you know, I mean, if he, if he didn't think he was capable of doing it, why would you wouldn't be that? I mean, you wouldn't. Right. You would just think he's not good. And it is what it is. Right. The guy can't do it. Like, like, you're not overly frustrated with Tyler Colick, right? You're not overly, like, just if you don't have an expectation, this player is capable of doing something, then you wouldn't be frustrated by what he doesn't do because you don't think he's very good. Right. And also recognizing how important this player is to what you're trying to do. I think he's the most important player to, outside of, outside of Jalen. Well, but I, but I feel like I know what I'm going to get from Jalen. Like I, like, he's the wild card that I don't know what I'm going to get from him. Like, I know what I'm going to get from OG. I know what I'm going to get from Mitchell Robinson. I know what I'm going to get from, from Jalen. I don't know what I'm going to get from Carlinthony Towns.

8:21If it's that level of Carlinthony Towns, you can bury San Antonio. If it's the, the level we've seen at other times, you can get humbled by Detroit. Like, it just, he is to me the wild card. And that's why you get so crazed with the performance as he puts up. Well, I think a lot of that is the effort part. Yes. Right? Like I mean, again, it's is not like overnight, you don't become a good defender, right? I mean, a lot of a lot of defense, especially in the NBA is how hard do you want to work? Right? I mean, do you want to put in the effort? I mean, it's not the same in the NHL, but these own coverages, it's like, do you want to block a shot or not? Like how hard? Like how badly do you want to play defense? How badly do you want to defend the zone? And I mean, for Carlinthony Towns, we've seen it. Now, he's not going to be a great defender, but if he gives you the, you know, the necessary effort, they can be a good defensive team and they've shown you that. And they're going to need to be that against Detroit. Who you know was a good defensive team, you know, was going to play physical. You know, was going to harass Chamberlain. And they all, by the way, have Kate Cunningham, who you haven't had an answer for?

9:23All season, anybody really has an answer for him. So I mean, you're going to have to throw multiple bodies at him. But again, like the, the crappy part of this whole situation is, as exciting as that was, and you enjoy the moment and you enjoy the win. It's, we're all, we're all waiting for the same thing. Yeah, that's right. That's it. I mean, you get, get me to April and let's see what we are then. I will say, though, I will say the fact, the fact that D.O.R. was able to get up 13 threes in 15 minutes, impressive. I mean, wild 13 threes, the man, the man, the man is no conscience. I mean, if he, like, like, get ball, see ball, shoot ball. I like it. And Ray said they had him for the, the post game interview. He said he was sweating like Patrick Ewing. He said, he just, just drenched. He said, I said, cool cleans off those headphones. He's like, not me.

10:24Oh, yeah. Like, give me just, just get it. Okay, get your shots up. They're going to give you the shot. I'll take it. Well, don't worry. What? Yeah, he played, he played just under 15 minutes at 13 threes attempts. 13 anyone, anyone for it. It's like he was like nine of 13. Like, all right, come on. Get, get those shots. He went for it 13. Yeah, I was like, we're going to Alvarado one on the heater. It's like, I just get to the ball. Right. Like, like, like, guys are in that zone every time you get the ball. Yeah, come on. Put, put that baby up this time. It's like, okay, here's the thing. You're not, you're not really not going to all down. But a lot of them were at the, in the final moments of the game, when that game was over too. Yeah, that's fine. But just I was, it's, it's, they got 13 of those. It was, it was, it was drawing. Yes. That's awesome. Yeah. I will say one, one nit picky, one nit picky negative thing. Mm hmm. Then I think once we get to the post season, well, will or could be something that we'll talk about that will annoy us. And I know it annoys us now anyway. But like, but kill bridges played awesome last night, right?

11:25They didn't even had D. What do you have? How many steals do you have last night? Five steals. Yeah. Shot well, um, had the 25 points. The guy, and I don't know if this is because he's trying to keep his Iron Man streak alive, doesn't want to get hurt. Does not want to go to the, like, does not want to go to the free throw line at all. Like he, like, does not, he's, he's very anti contact, correct? Like there have been, like, there are times when he'd like, you could definitely get to the rack, probably going to get fouled, lay the ball up, go in one, and he will like look put it in pop in, in shoot. It's like, I know your mid range is great. But like, I mean, you just, just lay it up right there. You take the foul. Good. We got the three point play. You're a good shooter. Let's go. No chance. I don't even know what he's averaging. I go look at what he's averaging and how many free throws a shot to a game. It's got to be low. It's got, I, it's got to be under three. Has to be. Oh, he doesn't go to the line. It's, it's, when you watch him, it's actually wild. No, it's a, but it's like he, it's, he's actively like looking to not get it. He doesn't want the contact. Yeah. I, I, I, I, I know one point two.

12:28One, no, seriously, one, so he's, so, all right. And that's down, right? So the most time when you go to line is for two shots, right? Most times you would agree with that. Yes. Okay. So on, so he's on average going to the line like once every other game then, which is, you can't, but so I think we talked about this last year a little bit. And last year was low. Last year was 1.4 down from 3.9. So I went, so steady decline from, he went, um, let's see. He went for four to one because three nine, right? So that's so four to one, four. Well, he's, what, what, what, listen, in Brooklyn, right? I mean, different, different role in Brooklyn, right? I mean, after the deal, he gets Brooklyn. He's going, who almost seven times six, six, then he drops down to four, three. And then last season was 1.4, which is like, you can't go down from 1.4. Nope. Down to 1.2. Yeah. I didn't, I mean, good, good on you. That's a really good job by you. I didn't, I didn't realize that the numbers were ever like passable. I didn't realize he was ever sitting at over six.

13:30And then to go, and let's be fair to go from six, when you say six, six, yeah. To three nine is a pretty massive, you know, difference. But then to go to three nine to one, four and now to one, two, I mean, he, he, like, you know, you say, like he makes a concerted effort to get to the line with guys. He makes a concerted effort to not get to the line. Right. Like he doesn't want to go to the, to the free throw line. No, he does not want, he does not want contact. You know, he does not want contact. That, that's, I don't know if I've ever seen anything like that. Where guy is just like anti getting to the line. Yeah. I mean, he's such a good shooter too. And I mean, it's like, he's over, I don't know, just free throw percentage. It's got to be like 84% or something like that. Yeah, but 84% on, on, on, like, on 85 foul shots. But it's funny because when you look at his numbers and you don't understand, like, from his rookie season on, it kind of like it, it went, it was low. And then kind of went up and got to the point where he's like a legitimate option in Phoenix. And then he's the guy in Brooklyn.

14:31So it goes up again. And then now it's a wet, now it's on its way back down. Every year getting where they came in from 1.4, like, that's low to 1.2. But hey, I don't want to, it shouldn't, you know, we shouldn't, we shouldn't want to be yesterday. But it's something to keep an, a note of and keep an eye on as we sit here and as we move forward. Well, especially like, I mean, if you get to a spot, especially when, you know, once we get to the, you know, to the playoffs where, you know, this thing kind of, so it slows down and it's a little bit sloggy and we got to get something going. Like, I mean, let's go get some freebies. Right? Draw some contact. Get cool. And you know, you know that they're going to call stuff. Right. And it's going to be physical, but that's what, I mean, that's what a lot of these teams are going to do. You're a good offensive team. You're like a finesse kind of offensive team. You got a, I mean, you got a five that's, like, thinks you're a point guard. You know, exactly what teams are going to do to you. You see, I mean, you see what Indiana does to you. You see what, what Detroit does to you and beat the hell out of you. Let's make it a street fight. Let's make it a brawl. You guys can't, you guys are talking about, you can sit here till you're blowing the face.

15:33It's not, it's not the way he wants to play basketball. Right. But that's what teams will do. I mean, that's, I would imagine teams are going to try to beat up, beat up Jalen. And they're going to get physical with cat. And they're going to see if they want to play that game. Oh, you know, Jalen well, but I mean, like those, they have legitimate, they have legitimate pieces to slow, to slow Jalen down at least. Oh, oh, yes, they make Jalen Brunson look, look much more average than he is. And they make it hard. Yes, everything is hard because they, they, yeah, and what you saw last night, what Indiana does to what they did. No, you're not going to have to get by them in this postseason, but look what they did. They think you're already 94 feet. Yep. And they're going to make it very difficult. And they may even cross that line to be a little bit dirty. And you know what, good on them. Exactly. But you saw it, I mean, you saw last night, but yesterday afternoon, excuse me last night, well, I mean, once, like we couldn't get anything going, castle leaves the game. And that's all of a sudden when we started going, right, Jalen start, now Jalen starts scoring. And then we want that run. Yep. Spurs are good, they're going to want to be in a real, I mean, they're good now.

16:35They're going to want to be in a really, really, I think you could probably sell some kind of, you know, NBA finals t-shirt. Like, you know, like, I think it's a line 65 or sooner for the Giants. I think you go down to San Antonio. And you got something in with like some kind of saying, they're going to win a championship here. Yes, at some point, yes, you're just going to pick the years of the overunder on them. You'd say within the next five years, you would assume they're going to win a title. Right. Like, if I'm Janus, because remember, Janus was being mentioned with San Antonio. That's where I go. That's where I go. Could you, could you imagine Janus and Wembee together? They do. I mean, look at the size of those two. You mean, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know how anyone slows him down. He's just so much, he's so much taller than everybody else. Captain's such a good job on you, yesterday. Such a good job. Such a good job on you, yesterday. But that's another one. I mean, he's just not like, I don't know how much more way he'll be able to put on. Yeah, and you have, I know he doesn't, he doesn't feel like he's seven five. Like, like, I mean, it does, but it doesn't. Like some, some, usually those seven five guys are just like you, you worry every time they get the ball.

17:37Oh, he's athletic, he's, he's like a legitimate athletic seven five. Right. Like he like, I never say anything like it. Yeah, seriously, it's a, it's a big coordination at that, at that size. It's, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it as well. I, I agree with that. I mean, seven five, like Mark Eaton was seven five was great. Alan says, Alan says it's crazy. Is it to watch on TV? He's like, that's one of the guys you need to see in person because it's like, it's even crazy. You're in person. I'm sure you see, by the way, who's, who's back to attacking me? Jerry again. Jerry for our. That's because you said class. You shouldn't have, you should have never said class. I stand by what I said. No, I stand by what I said. And then you're, but, but then that's the problem though, is now you can't just relent. You stand by it and I apologize if you're so sensitive, Jerry. And this is when fights happen. I don't apologize if he's so sensitive. I don't think the nicks are in the same class as Detroit. I'd love to be wrong. And, and I don't know how this has happened to now ties in the mix of cool, you know, ties, I mean, tie smells a Twitter battle.

18:41And he's so, so Jerry Ferrara turtle, right? From entourage tweets yesterday, very impressive. Nick's winning against a very hot spurs team. I'm just wondering of the nicks and the spurs class or off the murky SPN and at tie D butler. Wow. I think the answer is yes. They are. Well, tie, tie was, I mean, I think tie joined your party. Oh, okay. Because tie is not a nicks fan. Tie, tie went after him. I did not respond because I was driving back yesterday and I just didn't really want to start that battle. But tie, they went back and forth with like a hatred battle. Uh, they, tie will not back down from a Twitter beef. He loves it. He looks for it. Tie is the, that one's a king of trolls, but tie is right there. Uh, tie, no, they might be the king. Hmm. I think he considers you the king, actually. He's the Jaffee Jofer of trolls. He's the king. Yeah. I think he feels like he's more like the princes. I think he's more Eddie Murphy thinks in this one. Really? Like he's, he's the princess of Munda and you're the king.

19:41Hmm. I think that's how he looks at it, but I don't know. All right. Well, listen, I don't, I don't, I don't, you think that I'm more of a troll than tie? No, I don't, but I think tie thinks you are. Hmm. So ties learned from you and ties also learn from Nick Wright. So I'm also like the start of of trolling for him. Yes, he's my Daniel son. Yeah, I think that his in this business, he looks at you and Nick as his guys. And he takes like the willingness to like actually, you know, find information to debate and mixes it with your trolling this. But I wasn't, I wasn't trolling anyone. I was annoyed at the game. I watched the game and my opinion in that moment, and still in this moment is the nicks are not in the same. They've been destroyed this year by Detroit. Right. So trolling is not the best word, engage like, that's a very engaging tweet. It was meant to be an engaging tweet. All right. So you call it, I mean, you call trolling, you call it an engagement farming, whatever you want to call it.

20:45Okay. When you hear, here's, here's what I will say though, what if Jerry, and I like Jerry a lot. If he has all these comments to make, then why you pick up the phone and join the show, right? It's not me, but it is early. Oh, well, I don't, I don't, I'm not saying 630 joint like 930 is not that early, isn't? Maybe he's scared of you. Why would he be scared of me? Well, because you can be intimidating. No, I, you start, you know, do you think that when you yelled at Max like that, that, that, that wasn't intimidating? Well, when you came in, you get Jason, Jason, you know, J will is what was the second overall pick? Yeah. You man's on every TV screen for college basketball. You name it and you verbally berated him. I'm sure he was a little bit intimidated. Max, I'm done. I'm just living having great places. I said, you know what, like you, thanks for all you do. We're real. We're real. We're a goodbye. God, bye. The only thing I'll say to us, I said, thanks for all you do. Okay, but that's just like your apologies though. It's the same thing.

21:45You don't mean it. That's why people don't accept your apologies. Why is it done with me? No, you're still here. That's not nice. I mean, what am I going to tell you? That's not nice. That's, you know what? I need to be better. No, you don't need to be better as I'm telling you. You just need to accept the fact that this is who you are. And we love a little unhinged. She's like, oh, I couldn't really tell. Did he play one at bat? How was it? He walked. Okay, good. Sold and he played any played right field for a couple of innings. Okay, good play in right field.

27:57Nice. So not a lot, not a lot, but he did. That's fine. He's playing college baseball. He got his debut. You got a little son, a lot of sun, a lot of sun. Why don't you wear one of those fancy hats that you gave away at the bar mitzle that we didn't get a candle at? Listen, first of all, we're going to have to let that go at some point. I've never never going to let it go. Second of all, why would you get a candle at a bar mitzle for where you're I don't want to talk about the candle. I don't want to, I'll probably need therapy about the candle. I don't want to talk about that. It doesn't, it doesn't make sense. It's like, hey, how about grandma? Hey, cousins, hey, aunts and uncles and all by the way, Rick, like, it doesn't have no idea. I said us. It was a little off-putting. We thought we were like, I mean, maybe it was the seating arrangement. We thought we're like, oh, right next to this, we've got great seats. I know, but we thought that was for a reason. You could get those seats on stubble. Those were unbelievable seats. RJ, am I wrong? Every person felt like Alex knew grow every for from the time he was born, he got a candle by us. It felt like I believe at some point.

28:58And I, you can correct me if I'm wrong. I think the exact quote was, what grade was he at the time? Seven, seven, I think, I think just starting eighth. I think it was. And now Alex is an entire eighth grade class. No, no, that felt like, no, it was not. That felt like you were mocking us. No, no, let me ask you this, RJ. Okay, Rick wants a candle. I think you're more practical when it comes to this. Do you, do you really know Alex? Listen, we've spent some quality time together. Like do you, do you really know Alex? Do you feel like you and Alex have a real deep relationship? That was a moment. Yeah, I mean, you've brought him into the studio before. We have one together one was last time non bar mitzvah. You've seen Alex. Listen, that's between, that's between us. We hang out back and forth with Alex all the time. Yeah, so, I mean, so, so by the way, you know what this kid now does? He's not texting my friends in North Carolina. Oh, that's great. He needs information. He goes, I don't think Vesar is going to play.

29:58I go, one minute, wait a minute. Chris Mars told me that he, he, like, wait, what do you mean Chris Mars told you? He was like, yeah, I was texting with Chris yesterday. I think you, you're texting with Chris. Rick, is he getting information or is he passing along threats? He's like, listen, you'd better make sure. No, here's what's happening, guys. Is at some point now, Dave is going to outlive his, the usefulness. You're going to be phased out. Yeah, right. You're getting, he's slowly pushing. He doesn't need it. He's got all your connections now. I mean, how long has this been going on? God forbid you get this hardball connect and then he gets it. You're done and he steals them. Yeah, they'll watch you. You write out right out of the home. Oh, yeah, I mean, listen, he's better than me. So he doesn't need this guy anymore. I'm on what I'm going here? You're not wrong. Can you imagine financially? They need me. I think I catch John Harball this week on the Alk's Rathamurk podcast. Yes. Well, his, his plan is featuring Gary Myers show. He wants to take over this show. He's like, the name's already set for me, right? With me though, right?

30:59He goes, I know more about sports than you. He's like, I'll just, I'll just take over. Yeah, yeah, the two of you. Yes, nice. Okay. I mean, I don't know. Like, since I didn't get a candle, I don't know how willing, I'll be able to, you know, willing to do that. I'll be well, I don't, yeah, listen, I understand. That's, that's, you know, so had you gotten a candle. I think you'd probably have to, to welcome him into the show. Right. I thought that the candle would be kind of like our, like, foray into a great, you know, the script release. So like elite seats at the bar mitzvah, that didn't do anything for you. You're, you're only a look what I didn't get. Not a look what I didn't get, huh? When, like, R.J.'s rate, once the entire seventh grade class and then Uncle Jimmy and all these other people get candles, it's like, okay, where I mean, we got to be next. Right. So if aunts and uncles are getting candles, I don't know how well there's a Alex no Uncle Jim, like he's not even like a blood, blood uncle. I mean, that's not a real, come on. I don't, I don't know what to say. I, you know, I thought we had done something really, really wrong. I would apologize, but I mean, you're not getting a candle. I didn't want to get wrapped up into the candle conversation. I'm just wondering why he gave us those beautiful hats, the big bucket hats.

32:00We've been perfect for your face. Well, I'll tell you what, I didn't realize that it was going to be that level of sun. Did, did you? How would I? I was in hockey right the whole weekend. I don't understand, but did you realize that the sun was going to be out and it, like, I didn't even occur to me. I'm sitting there. I'm also, I'm also not the weather guy. That is, I mean, it's a bad look for you. What an oversight. I was just going to say it's a terrible look for you. Of course, RJ is going to jump on this because RJ is desperate to take this over. RJ was nowhere to tell me about the weather. I'm not sure what's worse. You overlooking the weather or Aaron Glenn's defense, not getting an reception as a former guy that was a ball, this is the same exactly the same. What a power is not sunblock. Okay. Deantite, but if it's the weather, you should be prepared. Like the other people should have birth faces. You shouldn't. How do you know to bring the hat? Because I burn. I knew it was going to be somewhat sunny. It didn't occur to me that in February, you could get burned. Didn't even occur to me. How much time do you think you have left before Alex just pushes you right out?

33:03It's close a year. Alex could expedite this with the sunburned. I think I think once he starts driving, I think I'll be certainly minimized. Yeah. Why don't you let Alex take over the pool? He can't handle it. He wouldn't be able to handle it. Wow. Yeah. That feels like a challenge right there. It's not a challenge. It's God's honest truth. He couldn't handle the basketball pool. Okay. Well, you know what? It's sad for all of us. Well, that would be a one year hiatus. You get a respite. Then maybe you'll realize how much you love it. And then it'll be back next year. I already know I love it. Okay. I love the woody commentary. I love what I need. It has like 27 pools. And they're all the bottom league. See, she typically joins the most and then pays the last. Well, you know, so finishes close to last. I look forward to those days. Well, the thing that's so shocking about Anita is typically someone will join a pool. And they'll join if they join multiple times. You look at their sheets and you'd be like, okay, these are so differently.

34:03One of them. Right. Anita's pictures. They're almost identical throughout the pool. And she'll just like change the champion. It's a strategy. She likes everything, but like the champion could be a little bit very, very strange. So the intel that we continue to gather here for the Jetson for the NFL is it sounds like I think by the third day of the league year, the Kylin Murray is going to be released from Arizona. It sounds like because they're not going to be able to trade them. I can't imagine. And it sounds like I mean, did you want to take your financially? Do you want to take on that responsibility for one of these other teams? No. No, right. No, of course not. So I don't think they're going to be able to trade them. And it sounds like the leader right now. According to a couple of people who were at the combine last week. Your New York Jets for Kylin Murray. Well, it's funny because there's a couple of people that hear that. Because again, I mean, we're not going to make a deal for them. And then I financially would make sense, right? Like I mean, he's he's got his Arizona money.

35:04Now all of a sudden, he gets he gets cut. But you've also heard the other side of this where and I think Samini's talked about this or RJ sent me an article with some news and notes from the the combine is it they're also hearing that the Jets could go with, you know, two veteran quarterbacks that aren't Kylin Murray level. Like a McKee and date like those names also that you've heard. Go two of those is stopgabs. Like, you know, backup guys that can be stopgabs. And then I'm assuming address the quarterback position in 27 when you have the three first. So so here's the thing. Do you want to try to win as many games as humanly possible? Or do you want to be in the best position to land the quarterback next year? And I don't think it's such an easy answer. Like I know that right off the bat. There's no definitive path. You know, let me go three and 14 and be awful. And I understand that. But I don't necessarily think that's Woody Johnson's, you know, selected decision. And I don't know that Aaron Glenn can get away with that.

36:05So this idea of just just be awful bringing, you know, two two mediocre pedestrian quarterbacks and go three and 14. And then next year will really load up. I don't think that's such an easy decision for everyone within this organization. Well, it's not easy because it's not. It's not a clear decision. Like there is no clear pathway to make sure that we have one of the highest picks in the week. Like we don't have a top pick because that Aaron Glenn is not going to live through. Like you're not going to survive that. No, he's not going to be back for for a third year with the Jets. Right. It feels like Mujee will. So maybe there's a way that Mujee, you know, handles the off season. A little bit differently than Aaron Glennwood, especially on that side of the ball. Since it's you know, they're going to add pieces defensively. I threw the draft and then free agency. They're going to add pieces to his. And also that's, I mean, like all jokes aside, that's Aaron Glenn's side of the ball. Right. And if you're going to improve something this off season, you'd say you got to improve that defense because it was so bad. And they need so much defensively right now. And he's calling plays now. So that's going to be now.

37:05It's a direct reflection as much as you wanted to kind of blame him last year. It is a direct reflection of him. And as far as the color of everything is concerned. So he's already guaranteed almost 37. But like you mentioned, the third day of the league year, almost 20, 19 and a half million of 2020 salary gets. Guaranteed. So there's no way Arizona's going to want to guarantee another almost 20 million for 27. No, he's gone. He's gone. So he's gone. But they're also talking about Malik Willis as an option there. So if they end up signing Malik Willis. In Arizona. Yeah. If Arizona and Michael floor signed Malik Willis, now that probably takes, I'm, I would guess. I mean, you tell me, but takes them out of next year taking a quarterback. I don't, I don't know. If they're going to pay him 30 million, but if he plays well, yes. Well, yeah, absolutely. Right. But how about it? But how about if he goes out there, he's, he's not great. And they win four games. That could put them right back in the court conversation. It could, but that's again, that's why this is such a, this is such a weird position for us to be in. Right now, because of all the different agendas, really.

38:07Right. I can't imagine that inside that, inside that building right now, there is a consensus path to what they're trying to do because everyone feels like maybe on different timelines. Right. Like what the owner, you know, what the owner might want to do because it's new. He recognizes that the fan base is, you know, apathetic, which you never want your fan base to be on top of now. Hey, they despising you. It's like, maybe the worst mix where they, they, the only reason that they cares because they hate you so much. And then it, I mean, then you got a GM that feels like he's made enough good moves where he's probably going to be around. He didn't, you know, he came in after Aaron Glenn. So I would, I would think they would keep him around to, no, pick his own code. I would agree. I think, I think the first one to go would be the coach and I don't, right. I don't think, I don't know. I don't think Mouji is on the hot seat. Right. So timelines are different. So it means it just, you tell me. So if you were Aaron Glenn in this situation, like what would you, like what are you trying to do right now? I got to win. Right. I want to spend all that money. I want to load up my defense. Yeah. The legitimate columnist is very attractive to me if I'm Aaron Glenn. Right. I need to keep this job.

39:08And I think that maybe that option might be attractive to, to ownership because maybe that would be, you know, a splashy enough move to get people excited. Doesn't really excite me, but I think there's probably some jets fans that would get excited by that. Well, it certainly makes you better, right. Oh, it definitely makes you better. I mean, it's definitely, I mean, as far as, a professional quarterback position, let a team to the postseason. He's right. I mean, he's a massive upgrade. Right. But he doesn't, for me, scream somebody that's going to come in at the most important position and really help change what your biggest issue is, which is just, you know, garbage culture and right, like just. He doesn't feel like he's that, you know, he's that peace. Well, so your quarterback changes your probably not. So he's not your quarterback in the future. He's, he's going to tread water and he's, he's probably going to prevent you from getting that quarterback in the future. Right, but that's my problem, though. It's like, I mean, I, I want the quarterback in 27. Unless for whatever reason they fall in with, you know, fall in love with Ty Simpson and they think he's going to be the guy I want the quarterback in 27.

40:11So how do I get there? If, I mean, if it's Kyla Murray and you just told me you don't think he's the quarterback of the future and he wins too many games that screws that plan up, then I don't want that. If anything, I guess I would want someone that has the potential to surprise me and be that guy. Like that has untap potential that all of a sudden now you, you know, you put him with Frank, right? You got a pretty good offensive line. Yeah, you know, you add another receive whatever you end up doing. And you feel like, okay, well, maybe we have something here. But I don't even think we're positioned like I don't even think we're good enough now for that to happen. Like I can't see what Sam Darnal did in Minnesota and what he just didn't see how it all happening to us. Because I don't think what I know we're not as good as those teams are. Yeah, no, I tend to agree. All right, let's do this. Or as well coached as those teams. Clearly, they've given you no reason to have optimism about the coaching staff up to this point. Now maybe it changes. He's involved with the defense in year two and he's learned and CEO and you're bringing more talent. But man, they need a lot. I mean, look what Seattle has coach wise.

41:13I mean, Mike McDonald is probably one of the best young coaches in the league. If he was in the offensive side of the ball, he'd be up there at the top. And then Clint Kubiak just got a head coaching job. Yeah. Right. I mean, I got my guy and not coincidentally, they just won the Super Bowl. Right. And I got my guys falling asleep at the combine. I have to tell us about the superpowers and Tanner Anxer and gone. I was disappointed in the ass men, by the way. Well, what do you do? If you're one of these people making a big thing about falling asleep at the combine, shame on you. Well, it's not just that he fell asleep. It'd be one thing if he fell asleep. It's on the heels of him telling us that he's got a super power. We've got a super power. No one's ever seen. The team was the biggest laughing stock of the NFL last year. And the first you see of him now, after giving you this whole spiel about his superpower, is the guy sleeping at the combine. Oh, by the way, what it was the position group that we're probably going to be most interested with the second ball pick to. Correct. Defense events. Hang on. You know what? Wake me when they're done. Because I got to catch a few Z's. All right. Let's break eight hundred nine one nine three seven seven six jets on the table at the quarterback situation.

46:21All right. And we hear. This might be startling for the Yankees fan. You ready? Yep. I don't think RJ and Raymond. I'm going to appreciate this very much. Here. Here's Aaron Boone. MLB Network saying no problem whatsoever. Running it back with this roster. Look, the realities we have, I think, 24 guys of the 26 that were in the playoffs. So that's a lot of return to guys. Now, these are the guys I want to run it back with. Like, you know, we got ousted last year in the division series by the Jays. But it didn't change what I felt about our club. At the end of the year and going into the playoffs. Like, to me, it felt like the best team we've ever had at that point in the year. We lost. We got beat. You know, and then I think a lot of the moves we made at the deadline last year. For guys we brought in really completed our team. It was a time we were struggling in the season. You know, we brought in Cabillero, Rosario, McMahon, Doval, Bednar. And it really settled and completed our team. And we made those moves not just with last year in mind.

47:23But also knowing that these are going to be helping us going forward. And I think they're going to continue to play a huge role for us. If you're a Yankees fan, I think that you hear that. You know, come on, man. And this is on the heels of the jam telling us a few weeks ago. They're not running it back and got like belligerent angry when people said that they were running it back. Yeah, we all know what they're doing. I mean, this is again, I think it depends on how you choose to define running it back. Like, this team is different than the team that they started last season with because of the moves that he just talked about. They made it to deadline. He just said 24 to 26 guys are back on this team. It's the same team. It is. But you're also going to get now those guys for a full season. You're going to get very cool back. You'll get Schlitliffe for a full season like them. I mean, that's if you want to play semantics, that's how you would play it. Fine. And that's fine. And again, they're good. They're a hell of a baseball team. Are they going to win 90 something games? And they're the favorites to win the division. And I think Yankees should feel good about going into this year. But I mean, it's a different level of success that the fan base with this organization has.

48:28Then most other organizations. And, you know, he kind of, well, I mean, Toronto. We love that mat. Well, they destroyed you. They crushed you in that series last year. So am I confident they'll get in? Yeah. Am I confident that when the world series? No, I'm not confident that when the world series. And I think that's the point though. I don't know. And this is a better question for RJ and Raid just because of the Yankees fans in the show. When you watch that team play throughout the course of the season, but then also the most important part of this season. Which is, you know, that series against against the blue jays. Did you feel like that team was good enough? Not to just be Toronto, but to eventually get to the world series and beat the Dodgers. And I think the answer for a lot of people would be no. So okay. Now, while I said we have all this, this confidence that it's going to work now this this year. I couldn't agree with you more. It's like it didn't work last year. I mean, it worked up to a point. It wasn't really close to working in the postseason. They've made very few changes. I mean, listen, weather's coming in and then some of the guys will be here for the full season.

49:29I get it. But now it's just like we're going to bring the same thing back. We weren't close enough to winning last year, but this year is going to be different. Why will this year be different? I don't know. I can't answer that question. I mean, I just out. I don't know why that they decided going into this offseason. Well, I probably know why. I just financially why would make the most sense to just kind of, hey, this is good. As long as we get Belinger, we're fine. Or this is this is the team that's going to be good enough. Because again, I don't think a lot of Yankees fans looked at that team last year. At the end of it and said, hey, this team was good enough. We just, you know, the series could have went either way. No, there's no way. I mean, Blue Jays could get to the end of the end of the road last year. I mean, like, man, we were so close to winning Yankees. They didn't have that same luxury. Nobody looked at the Yankees and thought, man, one play here, one play there. We beat Toronto. You were outclassed in that series with Toronto last year. Yeah. I mean, in, in freedom of getting beat up, it's just it. What you saw with this team against Toronto, Toronto could be different this year.

50:30Toronto could take a step back. I just, I mean, you led the league and runs. You led the league and home runs. And still, at the end of it, you didn't feel like the team was good enough. They do. They clearly do. They feel like running it back with this team with having, you know, the guys that they traded for for full season, that they feel like it's going to make the difference. RJ, what's, what's your take on this? You're big Yankees fan. You love this team. Listen, I have to take my cues from him. And he's confident that they've been, they're not fighting it. And he is, he, like, you heard your recite. When you say him, you're talking Boone or Cashman? Boone, I don't know if it's, I mean, Cashman definitely. I don't know if Boone is taking his cues from Cashman because he, you know, this is the roster you're being given. But he does bring up a point. 24 to 26 guys. He clearly likes the room. The guy is like the room. But it has that feeling of, you're just kind of one piece shy. But we'll see. I mean, I'm at this point, I was bracing for not even having Ballinger back. So I'm feeling okay.

51:31So was Joe apparently. Yeah, I'm feeling okay about where they're at because if you want to judge it against, hey, Ballinger coming back was a foregone conclusion. And then you add on top of that, then you're going to be disappointed. But I was from a point of like, you guys know, I always thought Bellinger was coming back. And then I was starting to move off that. I was like, maybe he's not. All right, hold on. Just for one second here. Let's take, let's take fandom out of this for a second. Let's just take just strictly just looking at baseball just in general. And if you're, if you're Aaron judge, for example, you're the best player in baseball. It's you and in Shohei. And you said what you just said. And we broke it down. And there were some people that are like, well, the way he was asked the question, it was more about Cody Bellinger. There were some of us like me and you and everyone else that said, you know, when he answered the question the way he answered it where it was like, hey, let's just get these guys done now so we can continue to add. Because I mean, for me, that says we weren't good enough. Right. If I want Bellinger in this piece and I want Christian back in it. And then I want to add more. Would signal to me that your best player doesn't think your team is good enough. Okay.

52:31That's one second part of this is you don't think that Aaron judge looks at Major League Baseball and what the Dodgers are doing and say to himself, well, I thought that what, what are we doing? Why is it that they just want back to back World Series and then a team that gets Tucker and then a team that gets Diaz. And it's got to be frustrating for him. It has to be. It's got to drive him crazy. Right. I mean, that's what we're I'm happy that we got Bellinger back. And if I'm, you know, if I want a Christian back, I'm happy I got him back too. But still like that. That's the same team we had last year. And the Dodgers just went back. And they're running it back. Right. I mean, just one of the World Series added the best free agent and the best closer. But the Dodgers are playing a different financial game than you, you're able to. Why though? Because they have a lot more money than you do. That's, that's the truth. Is they have a lot more and they willing to spend a lot more. Yankees have told you, we'll spend a lot, but we're not going to go over this number. And the Dodgers are just, they'll go crazy. They'll spend endless money and they'll defer almost all of it if they can.

53:34Yeah, you can take your cues from from Aaron Boone. Because again, I mean, he, what else is he going to say? But when you're best player, the best player in the sport says, I thought we would get them done and then continue to add. That tells me he didn't think what would, you know, the team that they had last year was good enough. Right. And then they're going to try to sell you on that. Well, I mean, listen, guys, our team last year was good and we still brought back Bellinger. So people like RJ are like, oh, we got Bellinger back. I think I could. I could. Okay. Here's, here's what I would say to that, though, is I could understand after watching that World Series. Watching what Toronto did and then watching that World Series. I could understand Toronto saying to themselves. Yes. Hey, let's run it back. We were right there. You're, you're literally an inch away from winning the World Series. Yeah, not the team that got their ass kicked by Toronto. Like that, that wouldn't be like, hey, let's run this back. And you know what? In their mindset, part of it must be, well, Toronto is not going to be that same team again. Like that was a one off there because if you thought Toronto is going to be that same team, you are not able to compete with them in the postseason. So you'd have to change up the way that you made this team.

54:35Are you a think? Otherwise, you're very stubborn. Yeah, or just, I mean, this is, again, this is, this is a certain amount of money that you want to spend. And you're at it. And the addition of, of Bellinger was, like, was your limit. Right. Well, it appears that that's the case. It appears like that's the case. And now they make moves too. That's the other thing, though. Yeah. Well, the point of they're going to make it seem like the Minges and Spencer Jones, like, they're just going to hold onto these guys in perpetuity. 56:35The league years pick it up and away we go. We also got some iconic sports moments in February though. Absolutely. But that's not the norm. A Super Bowl stunk. Thank God for the Olympics.
