About this episode
The 2nd place finisher at the 2017 70.3 World Championships and 4th in the 2018 Worlds, Ben Kanute is a professional triathlete who has had great results since bursting onto the pro scene. Most recently, he repeated as the Escape From Alcatraz champion and won Island House in 2017, but he has also had impressive results in shorter distances as well. He was on the US Olympic team in 2016, named USAT Athlete of the year in 2015, and was the USAT Sprint National Champ in 2014.
In this episode, Taren and Ben chat about moving to longer distances, having success as a youth triathlete, and how Ben could be Taren's (much faster) brother!
