Welcome to the trainwreck (well, not really Jim kept the boat afloat). I'll keep you posted as I work with Tascam to if this is an operator error. At this point I'm 95% sure the Tascam Mixcast 4 is going back. 

Today Dave is using some new gear (a Shure SM7B, and a Tascam Mixcast 4 after using the 90 day same as cash at Sweetwater). The Tascam ceased to function TWICE in a 90-minute recording.
