About this episode
A community sunrise walk in Kilkee is set to bring people together for a very special cause.
Beat the Darkness 2026, organised by Evan Garvey Fitness, will see participants gather before dawn and walk along the coast as the sun rises over the Atlantic, raising funds and awareness for MS Ireland and West Clare Mental Health Association.
The event is about community, resilience, and showing support for those affected by illness and mental health challenges.
Joining Alan Morrissey to talk about the importance of the fundraiser and the work behind it were Susan Coote from MS Ireland, and Evan Garvey, organiser of Beat the Darkness.
