Battle Ground Drive-By: One Arrested, One Still at Large

0:00On Saturday, September 19th, at about 155 PM, officers with the Battleground Police Department were dispatched to a reported disturbance in the 1700 block of Northeast 12th Street in Battleground. While officers were responding, Kreeza Dispatch received updated information that witnesses had observed two males in a vehicle, with multiple gunshots reportedly being fired from the vehicle as it fled the area. The suspect vehicle was described as a silver Nissan sedan traveling in the direction of Battleground Lake State Park. Several area law enforcement agencies responded to assist, including a Clark County Sheriff's Office, Vancouver Police Department, and Washington State Patrol. A Clark County Sheriff's Office deputy located a silver Nissan matching the description of the suspect vehicle as it was entering Battleground Lake State Park, located in the 18,000 block of Northeast 249th Street. 1:00search of the surrounding area was conducted with assistance from K9 teams and unmanned aerial systems or drones. Despite those efforts, the second suspect was not located. Officers also searched the area where the initial shooting was reported and located several spent shell casings in the roadway. At this time, there are no reported injuries. The suspected driver of the vehicle was identified as Theodore Seaman 44. He was arrested for drive-by shooting and booked into the Clark County jail. Additional charges may be considered as the investigation continues. Battleground Police Department officers and detectives are continuing their investigation and are working to identify and locate the second suspect.
