About this episode
This classic children's story by Dr. Seuss follows a page boy named Bartholomew Cubbins as he navigates a crisis caused by a bored and arrogant King. Discontent with normal weather, the monarch commands his magicians to conjure a sticky, green substance called Oobleck to fall from the sky. The viscous material quickly clogs the kingdom, trapping citizens and animals in a gooey mess that no magic can reverse. Bartholomew eventually saves the land by convincing the ruler to take personal responsibility for his actions. The chaos only dissipates when the King offers a sincere apology, teaching him that even a powerful leader must respect the limits of nature.
