Ballycar Flooding Solution "Frustratingly" Closer As Steering Group Reconvenes
About this episode
Discussions are ongoing to establish a solution to end legacy flooding on a notorious section of the Ennis to Limerick rail line. It comes as the Government has confirmed that it's reconvened the Ballycar Steering Group. It's understood the Transport Minister, Clare County Council, Iarnród Éireann and the Office of Public Works have met in recent weeks with a view to moving forward with the €16.7m project. Newmarket-On-Fergus Fianna Fáil Councillor David Griffin says it's a step in the right direction, but they need to see real progress.
