7:05I'm just having fun. Sorry about that. Here is what Leon Drysettel had to say about Evan Bouchard. After last night's come from behind victory. As good as it gets in the league. You know, up there with the macarons, the Hughes. He does it his way. It might not be as flashy as those guys, but he gets it done. And he is one of the best defensemen in the league. Has been for a few years now. And obviously this year, I think he's taken another step, which is amazing to see. And he should have been on Team Canada. Evan Bouchard, meanwhile, had these thoughts knowing that the others had to have a good third period. We knew we had to have a push in the third period first two. We weren't good enough. Four goals is not a good recipe for success, but we knew we had to stick with it. We had the guys that can put the puck in it and took the full 20, but that's really tough.

8:06All right, there you go. So the orders get the victory. We're going to punt for now on Conor Murphy. We're going to get to Latin a second. The orders skating today, though, keeping several of their big minute players out. Jake Walman. Well, he provided some insight here. Jake Walman on not playing in the third period. Regardless, I it sucks like not not playing. You know, it's want to be a part of that. Come back and part of the team, especially being part of the reason why you're down. You want to kind of get back at it, but. Yeah, it's it's. Oh, this is on me. I got it. Got to play better and not put myself in that situation. And Jake Walman was put in a situation where he needed to play better for the team last night. And he didn't. And now he knows that he's going to have to correct that. I mean, me and my best game, I got a lot to add to this team. So not not fully there yet. I think just trying to build it.

9:06I know I'm probably the hardest on myself out of everybody. So just trying to bring my game every night. And I want to I guess a night that they don't have it. You got to try and be an average player and. And you know, like make my average game a good game for a lot of guys. Curtis Lazar left in the first period of last night's game. And it sounds like he could be out for a while. Here's head coach Chris Norbock. Yeah, at least we could probably look at it for. And things being a little bit difficult moving around with roster space right now. It's important that the guys that they have stay in the lineup. Norbock says that Lazar should be okay by playoffs. Yes, that's what it looked like. Norbock also spoke on Matthias Janmark, who had season ending surgery this year or just a couple of days ago. He was it was an injury that he had last year. He was able to get some treatments. That helped it. Buddy, you can only get those treatments.

10:06Periodically. And, you know, playing through a bunch of pain. And, you know, giving a lot of credit for doing that. Because of his times where it was really uncomfortable for him. But, and then as the season went on, you know, it made felt that he could play through it. And it just got to be just too much. He was just playing compromised out there. And, you know, he's never out of position. He made good plays. But, he just, you know, mostly the puck battles. You know, he didn't have his strength. And it would felt for him. And, you know, he was the one who made the decision that it was best to, you know, get the surgery just because it didn't look like it was going to get better. And we felt that, you know, he was playing through a lot of pain. Going into the Olympic break. And then when it came back from the Olympic break, it felt that that time off would be really beneficial. And it really didn't make that much improvement.

11:08So that's when it was considered about surgery. So, Lazar and Jan Marker out. Oilers. They attempted to address the golden in situation. We've got two new goldeners. Obviously, the Tristan Jerry trade, which has been much blind because Jerry has not performed well over his last several starts. That saw Kool-Ack get moved along with Stuart Skinner. The Oilers then got Conor Murphy in a deal for a second round picked from the Chicago Black Ocks with the Black Ocks retaining. So they're retaining on Jones. And they're now retaining on Conor Murphy. You're allowed three players to retain on. So we'll see whether or not they move one other guy. They look at Nashville. Can Nashville be a team that retains in a player like O'Reilly? Something to think about Ponder. Last night during the second intermission, Aiden Gannum had a quick conversation with the newest member of the Evans Oilers Conor Murphy.

12:12Yeah, thanks a lot, Brendan. Sorry to steer you thunder there, Connor. Welcome to Edmonton. I just want to start off by asking you where you were when you found out you became an Edmonton Oiler. Yeah, it was actually in the lobby of the hotel in Winnipeg. We had an off day there. And the afternoon had a text of my agent that things were kind of picking up. And that stand was talking to Kyle, Chicago's GM. And it was more excitement rate away hoping that something could come through and work. I had my sights set and Edmonton for a while knowing there's a possibility of change coming. And it was really grateful to be here and to get started. You're joining a squad that's led by Conor McDavid and Leon Dryas. Obviously that's not your style of play. You're a state home defenseman. What's what's the excitement like knowing you're going to be lacing it up with those guys? Yeah, them and the whole team I think have admired their play. These guys have climbed the mountain a couple times here going to the finals. And the game that they've they've strung along and come together is really admirable. And I'd have the chance to grow with any of them. I think will be really fun and a mixture of learning off them.

13:13A mixture of trying to get comfortable and build some chemistry is really important. And I just looking forward to the first practice again if everyone. You're coming into a situation right now. The Euler's defense has been harped on a lot by the fan face this season. And with your style of play, just wondering how you feel you can contribute to this squad's defense, of course. Yeah, my role is definitely a little more pride in the D zone and trying to be a hard defender, whichever way I can. I mean, a lot of defending is a team game. So I think it's a buy-in and it's a work ethic that's put together by everyone and honestly offensively and defensively. So to be able to contribute that team game is what I'm excited for. And to be able to bring some of my more defensive mindset to things will be good. And I really do admire a lot of these defense defensemen in the core they have already.
